Fans may notice something is missing from the Illini hoops schedule this season, leaving them asking, where are the big home games?
It's no secret Brad Underwood has worked hard at strengthening the Illini's non-conference schedule, from agreeing to home-and-home deals, and booking out the United Center or Madison Square Garden. It just so happens that excitement will be lacking at State Farm Center this year.
A large portion of this is luck of the draw; it's the Illini's turn to travel to Cameron Indoor and battle the Blue Devils, and they'll return the favor in 2028. The same goes for Texas Tech, who will also travel to Champaign in 2028. However, away games aren't the only hurdle Underwood's squad will face, as they meet North Carolina, Missouri, and UConn, for neutral site games. The good news is UConn is being hosted at the United Center, an arena accessible to many Illini fans.
Something fans can keep in mind is that this could potentially mean a loaded home non-con schedule for the 2027-2028 season. With a "blue blood" like Duke already scheduled for SFC, any extra addition would make for a good home schedule.
Just because Kansas or UConn isn't playing the Illini in Champaign doesn't mean there is nothing to look forward to. Penn will be meeting in Champaign on Thursday, Nov. 5, looking for a rematch to its first round NCAA tournament loss the Illini handed to them (and the return of Illini arch-nemesis Fran McCaffery). Sophomore David Mirkovic posted a career high 29 points against the Quakers, and is slated to return from a left foot surgery right in time for this game.

I believe the iShares Bitcoin Trust (NASDAQ: IBIT) is the best choice. Here's why.
The first reason this is the leading option is that it's by far the largest spot Bitcoin ETF out there. As of Sept. 1, the iShares Bitcoin Trust had $61.4 billion in net ******* ets. This huge sum puts it significantly ahead of the next biggest ETF, which is the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, which has less than 25% of the net ******* ets compared to its rival. Retirement savings have become one of the most valued employee benefits, no longer viewed as an optional perk reserved for larger employers.
Several developments have made retirement plans significantly more accessible for small businesses.
Small businesses can support hiring, strengthen employee retention and build trust by extending retirement benefits.
For many small business owners, retirement benefits have long felt out of reach, something only larger organizations with more resources can offer. But that's changing quickly, and in today's hiring environment, it's becoming harder to compete without them.

A Nashville charter school has removed books featuring LGBT themes from its elementary school libraries months after a Christian teacher was disciplined for refusing to read one of the books to students, a decision the school later cleared from the teacher's record.
The Tennessee Star reported Friday that, according to the First Liberty Institute — a nonprofit legal organization — the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) in Nashville has taken out books that promote same-sex marriage.
"We are thrilled that KIPP Nashville voluntarily removed books that could run afoul of parents' rights under the Constitution and Tennessee law," Cliff Martin, senior counsel at First Liberty Institute, said in a Thursday statement.
"It is paramount that religious views be respected in schools," Martin said.

Revolution Medicines, Inc. (NASDAQ:RVMD) touched an all-time high above $224 on August 27, 2026, following FDA approval of Rasonque (daraxonrasib) – the first broad RAS-targeted therapy cleared for metastatic pancreatic cancer. Creating a milestone, the approval came roughly five weeks after filing under the agency's national priority voucher. The pivotal RASolute 302 trial nearly doubled median overall survival, to 13.2 months from 6.7 on chemotherapy. While the clinical benefit is substantial, a $47 billion valuation suggests the market had already priced in this success.
RVMD carries essentially no product revenue yet. Its price rests entirely on the future. Evercore ISI has raised the next-year sales estimate for Rasonque to ~$2.4 billion. Additionally, the $47 billion valuation discounts much of a long-term pancreatic opportunity which the Evercore **** yst estimates Rasonque could generate about $15.1 billion in pancreatic-cancer sales by 2034. However, a few details complicate this math. First, the approved label applies strictly to second-line or multiagent-ineligible patients. The front-line indication represents the larger market opportunity but remains pending, meaning a notable portion of the TAM is not yet accessible. Second, RVMD's current valuation also sits well above the $28 billion–$32 billion takeover valuation reportedly discussed with Merck earlier this year. Bulls argue lung and colorectal trials justify the $47 billion beyond pancreatic cancer, though that pipeline potential remains unproven.
That matters because Revolution Medicines must now execute its first commercial launch independently in one of oncology's most challenging indications characterized by short survival, high patient frailty, and a U.S. list price of $39,800 for a 30-day supply. Commercialization will require heavy spending. The second-quarter net loss widened to $644 million, and full-year operating expense guidance increased to between $2.1 and $2.2 billion. While a $3.9 billion cash balance and up to $1.5 billion in committed royalty financing fund the launch, operational execution remains the primary risk.
Insiders were net sellers of roughly $21.5 million over the past 90 days with zero buying. Hedge fund data on the stock is flat. As per the Insider Monkey database, 105 funds held RVMD in the second quarter of 2026, modestly down from 106 in the first, indicating strong conviction among institutional investors. Short interest sits near 6% of float, representing a modest level of bets against the stock.

NEW YORK — A little after midday Friday, Zheng Qinwen, who has felt the weight of an Olympic gold medal around her neck and a Grand Slam final on her shoulders, collapsed on the green acrylic of Stadium 17 at the U.S. Open and roared with delight.
In a match held over from Thursday's thunderstorms at Flushing Meadows, the 2024 Paris Olympic champion defeated Russia's Elena Pridankina 6-4, 3-6, 6-0. The win, her third of the week, sent Zheng into the main draw of the year's fourth Grand Slam.
That's territory Zheng, the 23-year-old from China, seemed able to take for granted in the afterglow of her Olympic glory, which followed a run to the 2024 Australian Open final. Then came a persistent right elbow injury. Surgery. Rehab. Comebacks that turned right back into layoffs. A tumble down the rankings to world No. 121. Early-round defeats that left her struggling to see how she would find her way back.
In New York, it all came out.
Scenes of joy, despair, triumph and disaster played out across the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on the final day of a part of the tournament that occupies a curious place in its wider context. Qualifying is the backbone of what the U.S. Open has labeled "Fan Week." It's free to attend. It's a fun and accessible way to see elite tennis, especially in a year with surging resale ticket prices for the main event.

A town's businesses have said they will "suffer massively" if they are forced to strip the streets outside their shops of displays and signage.
Hampshire County Council told traders in Lymington's cobbled Quay Street they must remove such items by Friday, or contractors could remove them instead.
The move follows three anonymous complaints made on 15 July, relating to items outside Quayside Fish Hut, Out of the Blue and Lymington Mobiles.
A Hampshire County Council spokesperson said it was responsible for keeping pavements and verges "safe and accessible for everyone".
It also said items such as advertising boards could narrow footways, block access and create hazards.

Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ:MSTR) has tied much of its balance-sheet strategy to Bitcoin. But the company's latest move adds something less volatile to that equation: approximately $1.6 billion in cash.
The company has established a liquidity pool "USD Cash" that can be used for Bitcoin purchases, share repurchases, and other treasury activities. It is separate from Strategy's (NASDAQ:MSTR) existing USD Reserve, which is restricted to preferred-stock dividends and interest payments. For investors, the new pool provides greater financial flexibility, although it does not fundamentally change the company's exposure to Bitcoin.
The strongest argument for the new cash pool is optionality, as Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) can deploy the money according to market conditions instead of raising capital whenever an opportunity appears. If Bitcoin prices fall, the company could use some of the cash to acquire the ***** et without first raising additional funds at that time. Keeping liquidity available may also help Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) navigate periods of cryptocurrency weakness. Bitcoin's volatility can create attractive purchasing opportunities, but only for companies that have enough accessible capital to act. A dedicated pool gives Strategy the ability to maintain cash while continuing to pursue the accumulation strategy at the center of its investment case.
The timing may appear favorable following an improvement in digital-asset sentiment. Bitcoin gained slightly more than 13% over the five trading sessions preceding the announcement and moved above $70,000 for the first time since June. The rally followed President Donald Trump's call for Congress to establish clearer digital-asset rules. Risk ***** ets also benefited after the US Treasury doubled the size of buybacks for longer-duration debt, helping restrain yields.
Share repurchases provide another possible use. Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) could buy back its stock when management believes it trades below intrinsic value, potentially benefiting continuing shareholders. The company disclosed a $1 billion common-stock repurchase authorization in its second-quarter results, although no shares had been repurchased under that program at the time of the release. The distinction between USD Cash and the existing USD Reserve is important. Under Strategy's (NASDAQ:MSTR) current policy, the existing USD Reserve may be used only for preferred-stock dividends and debt interest unless the board authorizes another use, and the new pool gives management considerably greater freedom without drawing on funds intended to meet those financial commitments.

Vanguard Group agreed to acquire Altruist, a wealth technology and custody platform serving independent financial advisers, the companies announced Wednesday. The transaction is worth around $4 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Altruist's platform combines a self-clearing brokerage with tools covering account opening, trading, portfolio management, billing, and reporting for independent wealth-management firms. The company competes with Charles Schwab and Fidelity Investments in providing custodial and administrative services to independent financial advisers, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Following the close of the deal, Altruist is expected to operate as a standalone business, retaining its leadership, brand, and distinct operating model, the companies said. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close later this year. Financial terms were not disclosed by the companies.
Vanguard first invested in Altruist in 2020, according to the company. The acquisition advances Vanguard chief executive officer Salim Ramji's broader effort to diversify the firm's revenue streams beyond its low-fee index funds by building out a financial advice business. Vanguard itself plans to become an anchor client for parts of the Altruist platform.
"Altruist's mission to make financial advice more accessible, more affordable, and help advisers scale their practices, that very much rhymes with what we're trying to do here at Vanguard," Ramji said. "That's really how this acquisition was born."

Margaret Qualley brought high fashion to the outdoors in her stunning new cover story. Photographed by Talia Ryder and styled by Taylor McNeill for POP Magazine Issue 55 (Autumn/Winter 2026), the actress looked effortlessly glamorous. She effortlessly layered a shimmering designer look straight off the Chanel runway with her own relaxed streetwear pieces. Thus, her bold styling choices proved that classic tweed and sparkling textures can feel completely modern and cool.
For the Pop Magazine cover shot, Margaret Qualley sat outdoors while holding a small, adorable grey dog in her arms. She wore a striking ensemble from Chanel's Fall/Winter 2026 collection. Her outfit started with a classic tweed jacket. The jacket was woven with metallic gold, beige, and black plaid patterns. It featured vibrant red trim along the lapels and red ***** on details. The red accents also added a bold pop of color to the textured outer layer.
Beneath the jacket, Qualley wore her own bright red hoodie. The simple hoodie brought a playful street-style contrast to the luxury outfit. She paired the top layers with a blinding, iridescent metallic skirt. The shimmering skirt caught the light with rainbow-hued metallic tones.
What made the skirt stand out most was its daring silhouette. It was designed with not just one, but two dangerously high slits along the front. The double-slit cuts added plenty of movement and drama to the knee-length metallic piece.
With her long, dark hair draped naturally over one shoulder under the red hood, Qualley posed with a playful, candid facial expression. Her fresh-faced makeup and relaxed pose brought an easygoing, cool-girl vibe to the high-fashion Chanel look. Moreover, she pulled off a daring style risk with ease. By pairing high-end runway pieces with everyday wardrobe staples, Qualley created an unforgettable fashion moment that felt both bold and accessible.

A deputy with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office showed up at the University of Colorado campus last week to serve civil papers to Deion Sanders while the coach was at an open practice and inaccessible.
The officer was informed that the Buffaloes coach was "unavailable at the time to receive receipt of the papers," a spokesperson with the sheriff's office said Wednesday. Sanders is being subpoenaed to testify as part of a bankruptcy trial involving his son, Shilo, that begins on Aug. 31, according to USA Today.
The Colorado athletic department had no additional information. The Buffaloes open the season on Sept. 3 at Georgia Tech.
The deputy arrived on campus at 10:22 a.m. on Aug. 11 with civil papers. It was the day the Buffaloes held an open practice with specific rules in place that nothing observed could be reported, published or shared.
Carrie Haverfield, a senior communications specialist for the sheriff's office, wrote in an email to The **** ociated Press that it's not uncommon for civil papers to take several attempts to serve.

The board of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts approved a plan on Thursday to enshrine President Donald Trump's name on the building, setting off a new battle in the war over what mark he should be able to leave on the institution.
We have been down this road before. The Kennedy Center's board of trustees "overstepped its statutory bounds by unilaterally renaming the Kennedy Center after President Trump," U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper wrote in May. "In 1964, Congress deliberately rechristened the 'National Cultural Center' the 'John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.' The text, structure, and evolution of the organic statute makes the institution's name abundantly clear."
The center, as a result, was forced to remove Trump's name, which had been affixed to the facade as: THE DONALD J. TRUMP AND THE JOHN F. KENNEDY MEMORIAL CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS. That addition came after the president took control of the Kennedy Center last year—a grab, he maintained, that was necessary to combat alleged wokeness at the institution. "We don't need woke at the Kennedy Center," he said in February 2025 aboard Air Force One. "Some of the shows were terrible. They were a disgrace that they were even put on. So I'll be there until such time as it gets to be running right."
The renewed effort to add Trump's name seeks to creatively circumvent Cooper's ruling by adding it a different way: "Restored and Renovated by President Donald J. Trump," it would read, under the main signage. The persistence here raises a few questions. The most glaring: Why?
For the sake of argument, let us take Trump's word at face value when he said he wants to heal the Kennedy Center of wokeness. It is unclear how obsessively attempting to inscribe his name on the building achieves that end. If anything, it undermines it. This is not about making the center more accessible to a broader public but rather about tailoring it narrowly to one person.

Cardi B has access to some of the most expensive designers in the world. However, the fashion item creating the biggest buzz around her right now is not a luxury handbag or a custom-made gown; it is a pair of Old Navy jeans that many shoppers can actually afford.
The rapper's latest fashion moment has turned everyday denim into a viral conversation after she became the face of Old Navy's "Most Wanted Denim" campaign, helping push the brand's jeans into the spotlight.
The unexpected part is not that Cardi B can make clothes popular. Her influence in music, beauty, and fashion has been proven for years.
The surprising part is the product itself.
Instead of promoting a designer item costing hundreds or thousands of dollars, Cardi helped create excitement around accessible denim, with some styles selling quickly after the campaign launch.

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) has officially entered the U.S. soft-tissue robotic surgery market after receiving FDA De Novo authorization for its OTTAVA robotic surgical system. The authorization represents an important milestone for J&J's MedTech ambitions, but the company is entering a market in which Intuitive Surgical (NASDAQ:ISRG) already has an extensive installed base, established surgeon relationships, and a rapidly expanding da Vinci 5 platform.
The question for investors is not whether OTTAVA can become a viable product, but whether Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) can convert its differentiated design and broader surgical portfolio into meaningful market share, and even challenge Intuitive Surgical (ISRG) in the process.
OTTAVA's most compelling feature is its table-integrated architecture. Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) stated that the robotic arms are incorporated directly into the operating table, which allows the system to occupy 30% to 50% less ****** e than traditional boom- and cart-mounted systems. The company believes this design could make robotic surgery accessible to operating rooms that previously could not accommodate a larger platform. That gives Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) a potentially differentiated selling point among hospitals focused on operating-room capacity and workflow efficiency.
The FDA authorized OTTAVA for multiple upper-abdominal general surgery procedures, including gastric bypass, gastrectomy, cholecystectomy, gastric sleeve surgery, appendectomy, and hiatal hernia repair. Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) will commercially launch the OTTAVA system with select customers in the United States to focus on early customer success and simultaneously advance the technology into additional regulatory jurisdictions and indications gradually. In addition, it has an ongoing U.S. clinical trial for OTTAVA in inguinal hernia procedures.
The selective launch is strategically sensible because robotic surgery systems require several factors for their smooth functioning in addition to regulatory authorization, including training for surgeons and operating-room staff, integration of the system into existing workflows, and establishing procedure volumes sufficient to justify the investment. With such a measured rollout, Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) has time to collect real-world feedback, improve training, and refine the platform before attempting a broader commercial expansion.

Audrey Hepburn believed great style was essential to her success as an actor. From that belief, a fashion icon was born, and her impact still can be seen today. For example, the British actor is credited with popularizing capris — a pants cut that's become trendy in the summer of 2026 — after wearing them for the 1954 film "Sabrina." In a promotional photo for the movie, Hepburn can be seen wearing an all black ensemble featuring capris, a long sleeve shirt, and ballet flats.

Despite the simplicity of the outfit, it was looks like this that made the star a favorite amongst everyday women. Capris were accessible and, as Hepburn proved, easily elevated when styled correctly. Plus, the pants were a reflection of the actor's personal aesthetic, not just her character's costume. In fact, director Billy Wilder allowed the star to pick her own outfits for the movie. The impact of that choice is still reflected today, with capris becoming a recurring fashion trend available in a variety of looks.

King Charles is preparing to briefly step away from public life for his annual break at the family's long-time "cherished" Scottish residence, Balmoral Castle.
As the royal family get ready to retreat to the 50,000-acre estate in Aberdeenshire for the summer, the grounds will no longer be accessible to the public. Balmoral Castle's official website states that visitors are welcome to the grounds, gardens and exhibitions from 28 March to 9 August, after which it will shut its gates ahead of the royal family's arrival.
"The grounds, gardens, Mews Gift Shop, Restaurant and Ballroom Exhibition are now open daily until Sunday 9th August," the notice reads. From 10 August, the estate will remain temporarily closed to visitors for the duration of the summer. The grounds are expected to reopen for the autumn season from early October.

General admission to the public includes access to the Castle Ballroom where visitors can view the year's exhibition. "You will be able to enjoy some of the walks around the grounds and have an opportunity to visit the Mews Gift Shop and the Restaurant," the estate website reads.

Mama June Shannon is standing behind her daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird as the reality star moves deeper into adult entertainment, but she still has concerns about the long-term consequences. Pumpkin has expanded her career by creating explicit OF content and dancing at strip clubs following her 2024 divorce from Josh Efird. Although June acknowledged that her daughter is old enough to make her own choices, the "Mama June: Family Crisis" star warned that the money may eventually come with a personal cost.

Speaking to TMZ, June said she supports Pumpkin's decision but cautioned that "all money ain't good money." Her primary concern is the permanence of the content and the possibility that Pumpkin's four children could discover it when they are older.
While the children may not currently understand what OF is, June noted that the material could remain online and become accessible to them in the future. Despite those reservations, June insisted the career change has not caused a rift between her and her daughter. Pumpkin is an adult, and June believes the final decision belongs to her.
The reality star also does not necessarily believe Pumpkin will regret creating the content. According to June, her daughter has always been outgoing and is currently enjoying herself while pursuing what she wants.

Regional banks generally fit between community banks and national banks when it comes to size, available products and services, and accessibility. They tend to offer a generous range of products and services, but they serve a particular area of the country.
While regional banks may not be nationally accessible, they have several advantages that make them an attractive place to bank for many.
According to the Federal Reserve, a regional bank has between $10 billion and $100 billion in ***** ets.
As the name suggests, many regional banks serve a specific region (or multiple regions) of the country. For example, Zions Bank is a regional bank that primarily serves the Intermountain West. However, some regional banks have larger footprints. Plus, online and mobile banking make some regional banks accessible from anywhere.

AUSTIN, Texas — Access to the Catapult GPS data tracked by the Texas Longhorns coaching staff isn't made accessible to the media or the public, so insight into the fastest players on the team has to come from sourced reporting, high school track times, companies like Reel ****** ytics that use AI to measure game film, and the players themselves.
On Thursday, following the second practice of preseason camp at Frank Denius Fields, redshirt junior running back/wide receiver Ryan Niblett, the team's dynamic return man, was asked about the three fastest players on the team. His response was surprising, and not just because he excluded himself, citing his humility.
"Kohen, of course," Niblett said. "Kohen's definitely fast."
That's freshman wide receiver Kohen Brown, a surprising pick thanks to his youth and relatively modest recruiting rankings — the Waxahachie product was the No. 266 player nationally and the No. 42 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite rankings in the 2026 cycle.
With 41 offers, Brown was a coveted prospect when he committed to Texas last summer less than a month after receiving his offer from the Longhorns. And his 100-meter times from his junior season of high school are impressive with a 10.69 effort, but not the best on the team.

VTI's 229% 10-year return powers long-term growth, while JEPQ delivers monthly income from covered calls before Social Security begins.
Parking 1 to 3 years of planned withdrawals in SGOV's short Treasury bills keeps cash accessible without forcing equity sales during downturns.

You just hit age 59 1/2, and the 10% early withdrawal penalty on your 401(k) quietly evaporated overnight. The money is finally yours to touch without a tax slap. You now get to decide, deliberately, how to position the piece you might actually use in the next decade. Four funds do most of the heavy lifting for this exact moment: Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (NYSEARCA:VTI), Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (NYSEARCA:VIG), JPMorgan Nasdaq Equity Premium Income ETF (NASDAQ:JEPQ), and the iShares 0-3 Month Treasury Bond ETF (NYSEARCA:SGOV).
The benefit is emotional as much as financial. You may not be ready to retire, but you now have greater flexibility than you did a month ago. The danger is treating that newfound access as permission to take unnecessary risks.

With the number of drones and missiles flying toward energy infrastructure in the Gulf these days, it might seem like a strange time to pour capital into that sector, in that region. But a gold rush is shaping up to profit from new workarounds to the Strait of Hormuz.
A group of US and Saudi investors said Wednesday they're closing in on a site for a $5 billion oil refining complex. It will be somewhere in the Gulf region, but outside the Strait, the project's organizers told me. With the aim to process up to 200,000 barrels of crude oil daily, it would be smaller than the major Gulf refineries. But the idea is to set up a port-connected "energy corridor" for producing and exporting not just staples like gasoline but also plastics, fertilizers, and just about anything else one can squeeze out of a hydrocarbon.
The idea was born before the war broke out, Mark Gunderson, a Texas oil developer whose MWG Enterprises is a partner in the project, told me. But now its logic is especially clear: Given the security and infrastructure limits on how much crude can flow out of the region, turning the oil into something else first can make it accessible to a broader range of traders and export vessels. "What can you do to make the oil move faster?" he said. "It doesn't necessarily have to be different or bigger pipes. It has to be technical solutions, and products that flow easier."
The project, whose other backers include the Patel Family Office and Saudi's AHQ Group, is part of a larger tide of capital flowing into Gulf oil infrastructure. Chevron is doubling down in Iraq. The UAE is building new pipelines and ports. On Monday, private equity giants Brookfield, Blackstone, and KKR signed a $16 billion lease on Kuwait's national pipeline network. "Security risks may be encouraging investment in more resilient infrastructure, rather than deterring it," said Salih Yilmaz, senior oil ******* yst at Bloomberg Intelligence.
The refinery project has plenty of hurdles ahead. But as refinery construction stalls out in the US and Europe, and a wider variety of crudes from Africa and elsewhere flow the Gulf, now is a good time to take the risk, Lakshmi Narayanan, Patel's vice-chair, told me: "Pre-conflict and post-conflict, Gulf countries have always been open [for energy investment], but now the market's sentiments are different."
