Kanye West is reportedly planning to seek help from Blake Lively to take revenge on Taylor Swift. West and Swift's feud dates back to 2009, when he grabbed the microphone from her as she accepted her award at the MTV VMAs. Although he later apologized, it seems the tension has not fully faded. The rapper is reportedly still determined to get back at the pop icon.
Kanye West is reportedly trying to get Blake Lively on board to seek "revenge" on Taylor Swift. For the unversed, at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009, Swift won the award for Best Female Video. When she went onto the stage to accept the award, West unexpectedly stormed the stage. He took the microphone from her hands. On stage, he said that he believed Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.
The two later reconciled, but in 2016, West took another dig at Swift. He released the song, "Famous," which featured controversial lyrics about the "Opalite" hitmaker. Years later, it seems the feud is not over, as Star reports that the rapper is seeking revenge on her. The report says that he also wants Lively to help him with his plan.
A source said, "He genuinely believes that Blake's going to see this as an opportunity that's too good to pass up." However, it's not that easy to contact the Gossip Girl star. Hence, the "All Falls Down" hitmaker has reportedly been trying to contact people in her circle so that he can get in touch with her.
Even though Lively and Swift were once best friends, the two have reportedly fallen apart. This happened after Swift's name came up in the legal battle involving Lively and Justin Baldoni. West allegedly believes that since Lively has fallen out with Swift, she may be willing to help him with his plan.

Blake Lively isn't the only one feeling the fallout from her It Ends With Us battle with Justin Baldoni. A source tells Star that Ryan Reynolds' involvement in the ensuing scandal has brought repercussions of its own.
"Sure, Ryan was all smiles and jokes at Comic Con this summer but it's a much darker time than he's letting on," dishes the source. "He has privately acknowledged that it could take years to win back the full confidence of the industry that he enjoyed before he and Blake went to war with Justin."
Reynolds, 49, faced backlash after Lively, 39, told E! News that he re-wrote the film's iconic rooftop scene. His "manipulative" email to the book's author, Colleen Hoover, sent after the movie premiered in 2024, also drew criticism from fans, as Star previously reported.
"His significant involvement with the difficult It Ends With Us production and aftermath has made people wary of him and less willing than they were a couple of years ago to hand over total creative control of a given project to him and his company," the source reveals.

Actress Blake Lively has been awarded $400,000 (£340,000) of the $8m (£6.9m) she tried to claim from her former co-star Justin Baldoni to cover her legal fees and costs to fight a defamation case he brought.
Lively initially sued Baldoni, her co-star and director of the 2004 film It Ends With Us for ******* ual harassment and retaliation, before he countersued for defamation.
A judge dismissed his defamation complaint in 2025, and she argued she was entitled to $7.5m (£6.4m) to cover her lawyers' fees and $540,000 (£460,000) for other costs.
But the judge said she should receive considerably less - a total of $407,451 - because she requested money for more people and time than were necessary to defend the defamation claim.
She should not have claimed money for other "intertwined" costs to do with the wider legal battle, and took a "blunderbuss approach" to calculating how many hours of lawyers' time she could claim for, the judge said.

Blake Lively has been awarded less than $410,000 (£320,000) in legal costs from Justin Baldoni.
The actor had requested $8.04 million (£6.07 million) following their It Ends with Us legal battle. A judge dubbed her request an "outrageously unreasonable demand".
In June, the Gossip Girl star filed a request to a federal judge asking that she be awarded the millions in legal fees and litigation costs following the dismissal of the defamation-related lawsuit brought against her by her It Ends with Us co-star and his production company, Wayfarer Studios.
Lively's lawyers argued that the work involved in defending the lawsuit was "comprehensive and necessary to achieve the complete win that was secured", adding that The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants star "has paid, and continues to pay" her legal bills.
Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, noted at the time, "Lively's fee request is so over-inclusive that it sweeps in fees for researching her own liability for perjury arising from her California CRD claim and her Rule 11 motion for which the Court has already denied fees," TMZ reported.
Baldoni and his wife, Emily Baldoni, addressed the bitter legal battle in a video posted to social media soon after.

Blake Lively's birthday came with some bad news. After celebrating her 39th birthday on August 25, her long-running legal battle with Justin Baldoni came crashing back into the headlines.
It's been two years of legal drama (@ Getty)
On August 26, TMZ revealed that a federal judge ruled that Lively would receive just over $407,000 in attorneys' fees and costs from Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios. It's crumbs compared to the more than $8 million she had requested.
Judge Lewis J. Liman awarded Lively $363,245.40 in attorneys' fees and another $44,206.35 in costs. The timing makes the ruling an especially rough follow-up.

Justin Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, is declaring a legal victory after a judge awarded Blake Lively only a fraction of the nearly $8 million she requested in attorneys' fees and costs. While Freedman expressed support for the California law used to grant Lively the award, he argued that it was applied in a way lawmakers never intended. The attorney also took a pointed shot at Lively, accusing the actress of attempting to use the legal system for her "own personal gain."

Freedman addressed the ruling in a statement to TMZ, describing California Civil Code Section 47.1 as "not a perfect law, but it is an important one designed to protect real survivors, who deserve to see this law tested and perfected in the court of law."
The law allows a prevailing defendant in certain defamation cases involving reports of ****** ual ****** ault, harassment or discrimination to recover reasonable attorneys' fees and costs. Although Freedman said he fundamentally supports the law's intended purpose, he questioned how it was used in the dispute involving Lively and Baldoni.
"Notwithstanding the fact that the law was applied in ways it was never intended for, my clients intentionally left Section 47.1 to be ruled on without any appellate rights to appeal as part of the settlement agreement, to prevent either party from overturning the law," Freedman said.

A federal judge has ordered Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios to pay a portion of Blake Lively's attorneys' fees and litigation costs pertaining to their legal battle last year. Although the request seems to favor the actress, it is a small fraction compared to what she originally asked for.
On August 26, in an order obtained by People, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman awarded Lively $363,245.40 in attorneys' fees and $44,206.35 in costs. She originally requested $8,035,040.88 for her defense against Baldoni and Wayfarer's defamation countersuit, which has been dismissed.
The Jane the Virgin star and Gossip Girl actress have been embroiled in legal woes since December 2024, when the actress accused her It Ends With Us director of ****** ual harassment, aiding and abetting harassment and causing intentional infliction of emotional distress while working on the film.
Most of Lively's claims were dismissed by a judge. However, her claims of retaliation and breach of contract were still allowed to proceed to trial.

Justin Baldoni will have to pay up in the ongoing legal saga with Blake Lively, a judge decided Wednesday.
New York federal judge Lewis Liman awarded the "It Ends with Us" actress, 39, with $363,245.40 in attorney's fees and $44,206.35 in costs following her initial request for more than $8 million, according to an Aug. 26 ruling obtained by USA TODAY.
The six-figure sum stems from Baldoni's dismissed 2025 defamation countersuit against Lively, which was in response to her lawsuit alleging he ******* ually harassed her on the set of "It Ends with Us." The legal fees are part of the final phase of the yearslong court battle after the pair reached a settlement in May.
In a statement to USA TODAY, Bryan Freedman, lead counsel for Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios, said the decision – which is about 5% of what Lively was seeking – "speaks for itself."

Blake Lively will receive about $400,000 in legal fees after the settlement of her legal battles with her This Is Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
This is well below the $8 million Lively sought to make up for her attorneys fees as she fought against the defamation lawsuit filed by Baldoni as part of their larger legal tussle. However, in the ruling Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman, wrote that he agreed with Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, who said that Lively was "entitled only to the reasonable fees and costs necessary to defend against the defamation claim," rather than her larger claim amount. This amounted to $363,000 in attorneys' fees and $44,000 in court costs.

It ends with Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni both trying to move on.
But two years ago, the media frenzy surrounding their movie It Ends With Us was just beginning. Based on Colleen Hoover's novel of the same name, the film—which Lively and Baldoni starred in and he also directed—debuted in theaters Aug. 9, 2024. And while social media users sensed tension between the two actors after the premiere and press tour, fans never anticipated the contentious legal battle that started just four months later.
Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, his production company Wayfarer Studios and several ******* ociates in December 2024, accusing them of launching a smear campaign to ruin her reputation in retaliation of her voicing concern about ******* ual harassment she said she experienced on the film's set from him and others. Baldoni and Wayfarer's legal team vehemently denied the allegations.
Then in January 2025, Baldoni, Wayfarer and others filed a lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and her publicist in which they accused them of defamation and extortion. They alleged Lively seized control of the movie and worked to "tar and feather" them in the press after she received backlash for her promotion of the film. Lively's attorneys slammed the accusations.

Blake Lively has shared another glimpse of a recent family outing with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, following her tumultuous legal battle with her "It Ends With Us" costar Justin Baldoni.

Blake Lively's request for nearly $8 million in legal fees has become one of the most closely watched aspects of her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. While the court has yet to rule on the request, legal insiders claim the figure has already sparked strong reactions. According to legal sources, several attorneys believe the amount is unusually high and may not hold up in court.
Reports state that Lively is seeking nearly $8 million in attorneys' fees and litigation costs after resolving her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. However, legal insiders believe the request has become a major sticking point. Some attorneys have even questioned whether the amount is realistic.
One veteran civil litigator told Naughty But Nice that the figure is "wildly aggressive." The attorney added that simply asking for millions does not mean the court will award the same amount. In fact, the source suggested the final figure, if approved at all, could be much lower.
Meanwhile, other attorneys argued that the issue is more complicated than it appears.
"The headlines make it sound like Justin Baldoni would be paying Blake Lively millions," one attorney said, further claiming that it is an "oversimplification."

Ryan Reynolds is a big name in Hollywood. He's Deadpool. He owns the football club Wrexham A.F.C, and with the docuseries Welcome to Wrexham, has made the team one of the most successful sports stories in the past few years. And yet these days, people keep trying to make his career about his wife, Blake Lively, and her recent issues with It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.
The return of Deadpool, and Reynolds appearing as the character at the Marvel panel at 2026's San Diego Comic Con, is, according to The Daily Mail, proof that Reynolds isn't as affected by the scandal as some expected and maybe even hoped.

As Justin Baldoni's production company is deadlocked with Blake Lively over legal fees, another legal battle is coming to an end.
Wayfarer Studios, which Baldoni cofounded with investor Steve Sarowitz, has been ordered to pay the legal fees that The New York Times incurred in fighting a 2024 defamation lawsuit from the "It Ends with Us" studio.
In a July 27 order from New York Supreme Court Justice Gerald Lebovits, which was reviewed by USA TODAY, The New York Times Co. was determined to be entitled to $171,616.20 in damages. The company was seeking $181,622.70 in fees billed by outside counsel and its in-house legal team, but Lebovits did not agree that some fees were warranted.
The Times had sought attorney fees under New York's anti-Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation law after the claims against the newspaper in Wayfarer's federal lawsuit were dismissed in June 2025.

Ryan Reynolds still has plenty of friends to count on in Hollywood despite his and wife Blake Lively's fallout with Taylor Swift — and a source exclusively tells In Touch he's counting on his friendship with The Proposal costar Sandra Bullock to help him get back on track.
The source says the Deadpool star, 49, has remained in regular contact with Bullock, 61, and hopes they'll reunite on screen someday.
"Ryan's special relationship with Sandra is a trump card he hasn't had to pull yet during all the crazy legal battles of the last 20 months over It Ends With Us and the fight between Blake and Justin Baldoni," the source explains. "He and Sandra have always had plans to work together again."
Plus, it helps that, according to the source "Sandra and Blake love each other and are both incredibly close to the filmmaker Paul Feig." (Feig directed Bullock in The Heat and Lively, 38, in A Simple Favor.)
"He is the guy who could actually pull together a movie starring Sandra, Ryan and Blake!" the source shares.

Blake Lively is seeking more than $8 million (£6 million) in legal fees from Justin Baldoni.
The former Gossip Girl star has asked a federal judge to award her $8.04 million (£6.07 million) in legal fees and litigation costs following the dismissal of the defamation-related lawsuit brought against her by her It Ends With Us co-star and director.
According to court documents filed on Monday, Lively is seeking $7,495,526.87 (£5,666,993.09) in legal fees, along with a further $539,514.01 (£407,993.98) in expenses and litigation costs accrued during the lengthy legal battle with Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios.
Lively's legal team argued that the work involved in defending the lawsuit was "comprehensive and necessary to achieve the complete win that was secured", adding that the actress "has paid, and continues to pay" her legal bills, reports People.
The lawyers also said the high-profile case became even more expensive as it attracted "significant press attention, with thousands of indexed and syndicated media articles" and involved a lengthy evidence-gathering process, including more than 7,000 documents from Lively and tens of thousands more from Wayfarer Studios and other parties.
Judge Lewis J. Liman has ordered Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios to respond to the request by 13 July. He will then decide whether to award the full amount, reduce it or reject parts of the request.

Taylor Swift's wedding plans reveal her current relationship status with Blake Lively. A source shared with Page Six that Swift and Lively may never become close friends again. Also, the pop star has not invited her actress friend to her wedding. This is despite reports suggesting they are keeping their differences aside and working to repair their fractured friendship.
Sources tied to Page Six reveal that Taylor Swift hasn't extended her wedding invitation to Blake Lively. The insider dished: "There hasn't been an olive branch when it comes to their friendship. And Taylor hasn't extended a wedding invitation to Blake."
This update comes after the Daily Mail reported that the two had resumed contact after their recent falling-out following the Justin Baldoni legal drama. As per the outlet, Swift wasn't happy about being dragged into the legal drama. She was more willing once the case came to a close.
The source shared: "Taylor was not happy about being dragged into the lawsuit but was more receptive to speaking to Blake as the suit came to a close. Blake was ready to resume their friendship because it really was what caused its demise."
The source added that the once-upon-a-time best friends had "spoken," and Lively is so confident that she would attend that she has already picked out a dress.

The settlement that ended Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's blockbuster legal war began with an unexpected Friday night phone call.
Justin Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, told Fox News Digital that he received an "out of the blue" call from opposing counsel requesting mediation, setting in motion the settlement that ultimately ended Baldoni and Lively's explosive feud. Freedman said the agreement allowed his clients to publicly discuss court rulings that dismissed many of the claims against them after months of intense scrutiny.
"I think when you settle a case and your client was sued for 15 claims, of which two are dismissed by the other side voluntarily, 10 of the remaining 13 are dismissed by the court — and those involve ******* ual harassment and defamation — I think it's really important that the clients be able to speak about that," Freedman said.
"Because otherwise, you know, they're forever branded as being accused and responsible for that," he emphasized. "And it was important that they be able to speak about the fact that in summary judgment that the court dismissed those claims against them and that they paid nothing for the remaining claims to be resolved."
