Prince Harry is preparing to return to the United States just weeks after moving back to the U.K. with Meghan Markle and their children. The Duke of Sussex, 41, is scheduled for another major appearance in New York.
Harry is set to attend Bill and Hillary Clinton's Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in New York City on Sept. 22 and 23. This will be his second appearance at the event after he joined in 2024. The meeting will take place during United Nations General ******* embly week. It will also feature Chrissy Teigen, Bill Nye and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.
Meanwhile, the trip comes less than a month after Harry, Meghan and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, returned to the U.K. on Aug. 26. The family is now living outside London. However, they continue to maintain their home in Montecito, Calif.
This year's meeting is ******* led "How Do We Get It Right?" It will focus on artificial intelligence, climate resilience, democracy, humanitarian response, economic opportunity and health.
At the same time, Harry's appearance comes as attention remains on the Sussexes' public role following their move to Britain. Recently, sources close to the couple pushed back against guidance from King Charles that described their position as "akin to private citizens."

The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note rose more than 3 basis points Tuesday to 4.79%. Driven higher by concerns over the latest flare-up in the war against Iran and its effects on fuel costs and inflation, the yield touched its highest level since January 2025 in trading during the day.
The continuing bond selloff has driven up government borrowing costs around the world. Eshe Nelson of The New York Times noted today that ******* an is seeing 10-year yields above 3% for the first time in 30 years and Germany now has the highest 10-year rates since 2011 (see the Times's chart below).
"A combination of factors are prompting investors to demand higher returns to hold government debt: a flood of borrowing by the world's richest nations, expanding budget deficits, persistent inflation and few signs that countries are able or willing to take steps to improve these conditions," Nelson wrote.
Ulrike Hoffmann-Burchardi, chief investment officer of the Americas at UBS, said she expects to continue to see heightened volatility in the bond market. "With no clear path to reopening the Strait after six months of war, inflation worries remain elevated," she said in a note, per CNBC. "Uncertainty over the Federal Reserve's policy outlook, fiscal concerns, and rising AI-related debt issuance have all kept bonds under pressure."
Ed Al-Hussainy, a portfolio manager at Columbia Threadneedle, told the Times that it's difficult to "disentangle" the causes of the rate surge. "The only thing we can say right now is that they're all pointing in the same direction," he said, "and that's in the direction of higher rates, and they're doing it globally."

Graig Hoffman will be inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame during halftime of the Knights' game against Bosse on Sept. 4. The 1993 graduate was a standout two-way lineman for Hall of Fame coach John Lidy before a successful collegiate career at the University of Louisville.

A Texas judge has temporarily cleared the way for more than 40 former professional athletes to return to college competition, blocking an SEC eligibility rule that had prevented them from playing this season.
Dallas County Judge Martin Hoffman issued a temporary restraining order Thursday in a lawsuit brought by 41 athletes. The order prevents the NCAA, SEC and Commissioner Greg Sankey from declaring the plaintiffs ineligible based on transfer portal rules or time spent on a professional roster.
"As long as they would have been eligible to continue playing college sports in the following semester if they had a fifth year of eligibility, they are eligible today," Hoffman wrote, according to the ******* ociated Press.

Days after the SEC adopted a ruling that barred former professional athletes from returning to college sports, a Dallas judge has signed an order that holds the NCAA, SEC and SEC commissioner Greg Sankey from keeping three athletes from returning to the college level, according to multiple reports on Thursday, Aug. 27.
The NCAA, SEC and Sankey were all named in the order signed by judge Martin Hoffman. Current NFL players Cowboys receiver Jordan Hudson, Chiefs linebacker Wesley Bissainthe and Chiefs receiver Omari Evans were among 41 players named as plaintiffs in the order, along with former student-athletes from men's and women's college basketball.

The judge's order is the first that specifically names a conference when it comes to holding professional players from returning to college football. The order comes after each Power Four conference adopted rules against teams signing former professional players, along with harsh punishments for any team that violates the rule.
LSU football has already landed commitments from Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, two players who signed undrafted free agent contracts with NFL teams. Former Tigers edge rusher Jack Pyburn also plans to re-join LSU if he fails to make the Buccaneers' roster, per reports.

Isaiah Crowell missed all of last season with an injury and might still be working his way back from that, but he'd played only sparingly in 2024. Teddy Hoffman, of course, is out for the season thanks to a positive PED test. Tyreek Copper has had some offseason buzz around him but the true freshman's time on the field this week probably would have been minimal at best, even if he were fully healthy.
On the UVA side, receiver Rico Flores was listed as a starter earlier this week on the team's depth chart. Flores had a rather modest 2025 season at UCLA (26 catches for 274 yards), so he probably wasn't going to be a key to the Cavs' gameplan anyway. The status of star linebacker Kam Robinson, who tore an ACL last November, is what you should be watching for on Saturday. If he is well enough to play, then he can be a difference-maker for UVA.

The Nielsen Scarborough NFL Fandom Index recently unveiled its top five teams, with the Bengals checking in at No. 4 on the list.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Josh Bell's two-run double started the scoring in a four-run first inning, and the Minnesota Twins held on to beat the Atlanta Braves 4-2 on Tuesday night.
The first six batters reached against Atlanta starter Martín Pérez (8-7), with the first four in the order scoring. Bell's flare down the right-field line fell just inside the chalk and bounced into the stands for a ground-rule double. Royce Lewis and Kody Clemens followed with RBI singles.
Bell and Clemens each finished with a pair of hits for Minnesota, which let a five-run lead slip away Sunday in a 7-5 loss to Philadelphia for a three-game Phillies sweep. The bullpen made the lead stand this time after starter Bailey Ober could only last 4 1/3 innings.
Ronald Acuña Jr.'s two-run single chased Ober in the fifth, but left-hander Taylor Rogers retired lefty batters Matt Olson and Michael Harris II to end the inning.
Travis Adams (3-0) pitched two perfect innings with three strikeouts. Jeff Hoffman allowed two runners in the eighth but escaped the jam, in part, due to Clemens making a diving stop on a hard grounder by Harris. Tonight, Andrew Vaughn reminded Twins Territory why any player whose career has involved only the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers is bad news for a team based in Minnesota. Vaughn's tiebreaking eighth-inning single sealed the deal on a Brew Crew win, evening the series and handing the loss to recent acquisition Jeff Hoffman.
The Twins isolated their offense to the second inning tonight, rallying against Brewer starter Robert Gasser after a plethora of baserunners made it 1-0 Milwaukee in the home first. Luke Keaschall led off the inning with a double, then watched as Kaelen Culpepper filled first behind him on a HBP (the first of two tonight for the newcomer.) After a pair of quick outs, the threat was threatened (the heat was hot), until another bout of loose command — an Austin Martin HBP to load the bases, and a Ryan Jeffers walk to spin the carousel — tied things up for the Twins.
Then, it was a 3-1 lead, with Royce Lewis roping a double to left that plated a pair. Despite the concentration of runs, Gasser would still fail to make it through five innings, giving way after 90-some-odd pitches and seven hits allowed by the fifth inning, paired with two walks and two hit batsmen. The Milwaukee bullpen would go 4.1 shutout innings, and the Twins would not record a hit after Gasser's exit.
Meanwhile, a two-out Brice Turang single tied the score in the fourth, as Bradley — who hit a man and walked two of this own — was unable to get past five innings.
As mentioned, the winning run was manufactured in the eighth; with Hoffman on the mound, William Contreras led off with a single, then gave way to pinch-runner Brandon Lockridge, who stole his way into scoring position and came home happy on Vaughn's ground-ball single. And while Trevor Larnach gave one a ride to right in the ninth, there would be no more joy for Minnesota's side, as a fired-up Brewers squad locked down their 73rd win with a perfect ninth.

William Contreras led off the eighth with a bloop single to center off Jeff Hoffman (6-8). Brandon Lockridge pinch-ran for Contreras and stole second.
After Hoffman retired Garrett Mitchell on a fly to center, Yelich singled to right. Lockridge made a head-first slide across the plate as the throw from Austin Martin was off line.

An Elmira-based martial arts school is sending a team to Central America this fall to take part in an international competition, and is seeking community help to raise funds for the trip.
Ten competitors and coaches from American Family Karate & Jujitsu, based at 103 Hoffman St. in Elmira, will travel to Santo Domingo Xenacoj, Guatemala, Oct. 9-11 for the 2026 World Sport Jujitsu Championships.
The group will be part of a much larger United States delegation bringing together athletes, coaches and families from martial arts schools across the country.
For the student athletes, the trip represents an opportunity to compete against athletes from at least ten other nations, experience another culture and represent the Southern Tier and the United States before an international audience, according to Team AFK Jujitsu owner and instructor Shawnie Brown.
"There is something powerful about seeing a community come together behind its athletes," Brown said. "These students have trained for years for opportunities like this. When they step onto that competition floor in Guatemala, they will be carrying the encouragement of their families, teammates, local businesses and hometown with them."

His 1.2 fWAR is 13th among relievers in baseball, while his 14.06 K/9 is second to only the Padres' Mason Miller.
Most importantly, Hoffman brings elite strikeout stuff to a bullpen that, while improved, has really needed some swing-and-miss on the backend. His pitch mix is very Griffin Jax-esque, relying heavily on a slider that's among the best pitches in baseball and a fastball with enough velocity to be dangerous. He'll also mix in a splitter, primarily against lefties, that is also quietly pretty strong.
In return, the Blue Jays will receive pitching prospects Dasan Hill and John Klein, along with infielder Dameury Pena. Hill, 20, is the clear headliner of this group. He was the Twins' second round pick in 2024 and had an excellent debut season in 2025, appearing on the back end of some Top 100s. The Twins moved him up to High A to start this season, but has struggled mightily to throw strikes. The stuff is there, but the lanky lefty has a very long way to go before he's ready to face big leaguers. Hill was the Twins' 12th-ranked prospect according to FanGraphs, while Klein slotted in at 35 and Pena at 49.
Manager Derek Shelton has a lot more tools to work with than he did this time last week. Hoffman should slot in as the team's primary closer immediately, but I would still expect Yoendrys Gomez and Andrew Morris to have opportunities down the stretch. Those two have both been heavily used the past two months and, as we saw with both walk-off losses last weekend, have probably been a bit overexposed. Having Minter and now Hoffman solidifies what has quietly become a very solid group of relievers.

England cyclist Joseph Truman won silver in a record-breaking men's 1,000m time trial at the Commonwealth Games.
Truman put in a solid ride throughout but he couldn't beat the speed of Australian Leigh Hoffman, who broke the Commonwealth Games record with a stunning time of 58.530 seconds.
England team-mate Harry Ledingham-Horn, who had topped the standings after 11 riders with a time of 1:00.039, was pushed out of the medals to fourth.
He was beaten to the bronze by just over 40 seconds by Australian Tayte Ryan, who also beat the Englishman to the third-placed medal in the men's sprint.
Meanwhile, Hamish Turnbull got off to a quick start, clocking the third quickest opening 250m with a time of 18.637, but his speed began to drop off to leave him down in eighth.

TORONTO (AP) — Pinch-hitter Luis Urías broke an eighth-inning tie with a two-run single and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-1 on Friday night.
Cardinals reliever Peter Strzelecki (0-1) exited after one-out walks to George Springer and Daulton Varsho. Gordon Graceffo came on and walked Ernie Clement to load the bases for Urías, who grounded a two-run single through the left side.
Jeff Hoffman (6-7) worked one inning for the win and Louis Varland finished for his 24th save in 24 opportunities as Toronto extended its home winning streak over St. Louis to seven games.
The Blue Jays have won five of their past eight games after losing the previous four.
St. Louis lost for the fifth time in six games. The Cardinals went 10-18 in July.

England's teenage cyclist Henry Hobbs claimed his first senior individual medal by winning Commonwealth Games bronze in the men's elimination race - just one day after a dramatic gold in the 4,000m team pursuit.
Fresh from the exploits of Thursday evening, the 19-year-old from Essex enjoyed yet more success in his first appearance at a major competition.
Hobbs managed to hold off New Zealand's Thomas ***** ton to finish third behind Scottish silver medallist Mark Stewart and Australian winner Blake Agnoletto.
His compatriot Harry Ledingham-Horn also picked up his first senior individual medal with bronze in the men's keirin.
The 22-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent finished 0.243 seconds behind Malaysian winner Mohd Azizulhasni Awang and 0.134 off silver medallist Leigh Hoffman of Australia.

Golf architect Kyle Phillips has broken ground on the course at the private Pandion Club in Estero, Florida. The new layout, intended to invoke the heathland courses of England with Lowcountry influences, is being built on the site of the former Old Corkscrew Golf Club that was closed earlier this year.
Phillips plans a par-71 course for Pandion Club, stretching to 7,220 with firm and fast playing conditions and a premium on strategic shotmaking. The new layout is scheduled to open in 2027 with membership capped at 280. The golf-only club will include a Lowcountry-inspired clubhouse and expansive practice facilities. The name Pandion is inspired by Pandion haliaetus, aka osprey.
The layout features sandy terrain that should promote Phillips' goals. Having built the top-ranked Kingsbarns Golf Links and Dundonald Links in Scotland and having studied courses around the world, Phillips said that heathland courses are situated on inland dunes, "like the ones we have in Florida."
Old Corkscrew and additional surrounding land was purchased in 2022 by The Hoffmann Family of Companies for $14.5 million, according to property records reported by the Naples Daily News. The Hoffmans purchased the Cottages at Old Corkscrew Golf Club for $4.5 million in a separate transaction. The Hoffmanns also own Old Collier Golf Club in Naples, as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins and Florida Everblades.
"Everything we do at Hoffmann Family of Companies, we want to provide a unique, best-in-class experience for our guests, and Pandion is going to be no exception" Geoff Hoffmann, CEO of HF Companies' private equity arm, said in a media release announcing the start of construction. We knew that his experience presented an opportunity to preserve the natural landscape that was embedded on the site, and that's something we are going to build around."
