Oscar Health (OSCR) raised its full-year earnings outlook while lowering its expected medical costs to cover benefits for its nearly 3 million Affordable Care Act exchange members. OSCR stock climbed in early Wednesday stock market action ahead of its 9 a.m. ET investor conference.
Oscar, which made an aggressive play to gain ACA market share, has seen enrollment surge 47% from a year ago as of June 30, even as overall enrollment has plunged due to the expiration of enhanced premium subsidies. As of now, it looks like the bet is paying off in a big way, with shares up 126% this year through Tuesday. But it's still a bit early to know, because Oscar's earnings depend not only on its own members' costs, but also those of other ACA insurers.
The ACA's No. 2 insurer by membership behind Centene (CNC) said that it now expects its medical loss ratio, or benefit costs as a share of premiums, to be in the 81% to 82% range, down from the prior outlook of 81.5% to 82.5%.
Oscar boosted its outlook for earnings from operations by $100 million at both ends to a range of $600 million to $800 million. The unchanged revenue outlook, between $18.7 billion and $19 billion, implies that no additional customer churn is expected.
Here is what investors should keep in mind. Compared to the overall ACA risk pool, Oscar's enrollment is relatively young, healthy and more likely to sign up for very-high-deductible bronze plans. Yet based on its relatively healthy risk pool, Oscar expects about 20% of its premiums will be paid out via risk adjustment to other carriers under ACA rules. That means results in the second half of this year depend to a large degree on the level of healthcare utilization by non-Oscar members. As of now, it's a bit early to tell, since healthcare spending tends to rise as the year progresses and insured members exhaust their deductibles.

Emily Blunt reunited with co-star Meryl Streep for an unforgettable high-fashion evening in New York City. Attending The Devil Wears Prada 2 Wardrobe Auction, the English actress commanded total attention on the red carpet. Captivating fashion lovers and photographers everywhere, she proved once again that classic black gowns can deliver maximum drama, movement, and modern playfulness.
For the high-profile charity auction, Blunt wore a striking runway piece straight from Christian Cowan's Spring/Summer 2027 collection. Her long-time stylist Jessica Paster curated the monochromatic look, which expertly balances modest coverage with daring sheer texture. The top portion of the dress features a sleek, form-fitting black turtleneck knit with snug long sleeves. Below the hips, the structured knit stops, giving way to sheer netting completely covered in cascading black fringe tassels.
The floor-length black fringe moved with every step, while crystal-embellished Dolce & Gabbana satin sandals added a subtle sparkle beneath the hem. The sandals' crystal straps were occasionally visible through the swinging fringe, complementing the otherwise monochromatic look.
Posing on the red carpet, Emily shared a warm moment with legendary co-star Meryl Streep. Emily wrapped one arm affectionately around Meryl's shoulder as both actresses smiled brightly for the camera line. Meryl looked equally chic in a patterned silk dress, creating an iconic reunion snapshot that delighted fans of the classic fashion film.
Emily's glam team kept her beauty routine polished and timeless to complement the dramatic dress. She wore her warm blonde hair pulled back into a neat, slicked-low bun. Her makeup featured radiant skin, soft bronzer, subtle winged eyeliner, and a glossy berry-pink lip. By contrasting a simple long-sleeved turtleneck with an ultra-fun fringe skirt, Emily Blunt executed high fashion with complete confidence.

Team USA opened the knockout round and made World Cup history. Yet, its job in Berlin remains unfinished.
The Americans are one of the last four teams standing with a ticket to Sunday's gold-medal game now on the line.
Team USA faces Spain in Saturday's World Cup semifinals (2 p.m. ET) for a chance to advance to one last game. France and Germany face off in the other semifinal (10:30 a.m. ET). The two winners will move on to the gold medal game, while the two losers will play for third place.
The United States has advanced to the gold-medal game in each of the last four World Cups, winning it all each time. The last time the U.S. failed to make the gold-medal game was in 2006, when it defeated Brazil for bronze.

Alex Fine, who plays Donnie, one of Kat McAllister's enforcers in MobLand, is confirmed to return for Season Two. He attended the world premiere in London with his wife, Cassie Ventura.
Matt Crossick/Variety via Getty Images
Alex wore Saint Laurent Fall 2026, taking the cropped cable-knit sweater from the runway and giving it a much cleaner spin with wide-leg black trousers. I've been enjoying the collection's striped pieces on the red carpet, but I like that Alex didn't recreate the runway styling. The all-black palette puts the focus on the proportions, which is what makes this work for me.
Cassie opted for a Magda Butrym wool corset dress, and this is easily my favourite part of their couple's style moment. The precise darting and padded hips create that exaggerated hourglass silhouette the designer does so well, and you know I love a well-executed exaggerated silhouette.
The dress is so good that the shoes frustrate me even more. The bronze pointed-toe pumps with criss-cross ankle straps feel disconnected from the modernity of the silhouette. A pewter strappy sandal or mule would have been a much stronger finish and allowed the dress to have the final word.

A Wyoming football player appears to have pushed at least one fan during a field storming at Canvas Stadium after Colorado State won the Border War on Sept. 5.
Various social media accounts posted videos showing Wyoming defensive lineman Jayden Williams pushing at least one person as CSU fans rushed the field after the Rams won to secure the Bronze Boot trophy.
Several posts on social media with videos showed Williams pushing a fan. Wyoming coach Jay Sawvel responded to the incident in his weekly press conference on Sept. 7, saying it has "been addressed."
"I've seen the Jayden video, been made aware of it. Made aware of it first, watched it. Watched it a couple different times. It's been addressed and will be addressed further in house. Obviously, we don't condone that from players to fans or anything from that standpoint. That will be something we address team wide, as well," Sawvel said, according to a report from Kaycee Clark-Mellott from KGWN TV.
"That's not the way we're going to operate," Sawvel said.

Jim Mora's first game as Colorado State football coach is in the books and it ended with a trophy.
The Bronze Boot sat atop the table next to Mora as he gave his postgame press conference following a 35-13 win over Wyoming on Sept. 5 at Canvas Stadium.
Here's a look at the highlights of what Mora said after the game.
"I saw five touchdowns, which was pretty nice. I'll tell you what the most impressive thing about Hauss was, was his composure, his poise and his command of the game. His command of the situations in the game, in terms of clockmanagement, down the stretch. His ball security, the way that his players, his teammates responded to him in the huddle ...
"This guy, it was his second start. The first snap he took was his 23rd play as a college football player and you would have never known it by how he performed tonight."

We certainly had our fun with the small slate of games in Week 0, but now it's time for the real fun to begin in Week 1. Nearly every team in college football will receive their first opportunity to prove their worth this weekend, whether it be against a lower-tier opponent that they should demolish or a higher-caliber one that they can make a real statement by upsetting. Four of the teams in the Mountain West will be playing in their second game of the season, while the remaining six have their respective season openers. Let's take a look at these matchups, and what we should expect from the Mountain West in Week 1.
Date and Time: Friday, September 4, 2026, 3:30 p.m. PDT
Network: ESPN+
Spread: EMU -3
Preview: San Jose State was obliterated by USC in their Week 0 matchup, only ever looking competitive once the Trojans pulled their starters in the fourth quarter. Their biggest positive from that game was that their offense, which had a national-bronze 17 interceptions in 2025, did not turn the ball over once, which bodes well for them going forward. This is especially true heading into another road matchup against the Eastern Michigan Eagles, who managed to win their Week 0 opener against new MAC opponent Sacramento State.

The scene in Bilbao, in 2024, foreshadowed the change that would come. Michele Kang, the owner of OL Lyonnes, strode around the edge of the pitch in the San Mames to greet the travelling supporters of the women's football powerhouse, who were buoyed by her ambition and intent to invest. Barcelona won 2-0 to lift their third Women's Champions League **** le in four years, thanks to goals from their two Ballon d'Or winners Aitana Bonmati and Alexia Putellas. But while Kang, the South Korean-born American billionaire and philanthropist, vowed that Lyonnes would return stronger, her sphere of influence was also primed to have an impact elsewhere.
As well as the French champions, Kang owned two other teams as part of her multi-club Kynisca group, the US side Washington Spirit and the London City Lionesses, based out of Bromley and playing in the second tier of English women's football. Two years on, driven by Kang's vision and fuelled by her deep pockets, London City have secured promotion and undergone a remarkable makeover. From that Champions League final alone, they have signed not just Putellas, making the Spain international and World Cup winner the biggest overseas signing in Women's Super League history, but two of her Barcelona team-mates in Mapi Leon and Jana Fernandez. From sister club Lyonnes, London City have signed two of their starting forwards in Kadidiatou Diani and Delphine Cascarino, as well as midfielder Danielle van de Donk.

It has not come cheap: Putellas was a free transfer but is one of the highest-paid women's footballers in the world at around £1m per year. Kang is the driving force. BERLIN (AP) — Opponents will be looking up to China during the women's FIBA World Cup, starting with the the United States.
The Americans and everyone else will have to navigate around and over some of the tallest women on the planet: China's 19-year-old Zhang Ziyu stands 7-foot-3. The U.S. team is already familiar with 6-10 Han Xu from her WNBA games with the New York Liberty.
If not for a passport mishap, Zhang and Han would be joined by another center — 6-7 Li Yueru, who plays with the WNBA's Dallas Wings. Li posted on social media Wednesday that her passport was lost in the mail and she won't be able to compete.
China opens its campaign against the four-time defending champion in Berlin on Friday.
Zhang wasn't playing when the U.S. beat China 83-61 in the 2022 World Cup final in Sydney for a fourth consecutive gold medal. She made her senior debut at the Women's Asia Cup last year and helped China capture the bronze, averaging 14.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in the tournament.

Amal Clooney's sartorial archives include many forgotten fashion gems. However, one particular look that slipped completely under the radar was the bombshell gold dress she wore to the official launch of Casamigos Tequila in Ibiza in 2015. It was the ultimate Bond Girl moment that has stylishly stood the test time – and **** O! are revisiting it 11 years later.
The international human rights lawyer graced the event in a gold Vionnet dress that boasted a metallic, chainmail sheen. The mini dress featured a plunging cowl neckline with a sleeveless design and subtle asymmetric hem. Amal styled the scene-stealing gown with a pair of black Dior pumps and a matching gold clutch. Her hair was styled into a voluminous blowout while her makeup oozed soft glam, courtesy of a bronze eye and a bold red lip.

George Clooney allowed his wife's look to command all the attention as he opted for a more casual approach to his outfit. The actor donned a white **** on-down shirt with a pair of wide-leg jeans.
Amal is no stranger to a glitterball dress. Who could forget the breathtaking Atelier Versace gown she wore to the British Fashion Awards back in 2023? The garment was adorned with cascading, sunset-hued sequins. These bronze embellishments started small at the top of the dress and increased in size as they went down the skirt. The sequins were stitched together by a net of crystal-embroidered string. The result was a shimmering, ombré effect that glistened in the light.

The semi-sheer Zimmermann design featured bell sleeves and lace trim.
Nicole Kidman's latest look is giving Gillian Owens a run for her money. As she continues promoting Practical Magic 2, the actress went full boho chic in a new Instagram post.
On August 31, photos shared by hairstylist Adir Abergel depicted Kidman in a semi-sheer paisley dress. Her high-neck Zimmermann maxi also featured dramatic bell sleeves and lace trim. Kidman's waist-length strawberry blonde hair was styled with full fringe, similar to her character in the original film, while her makeup consisted of bronze eyeshadow, pink blush, and nude lip liner.

Owen Hargreaves, former Bayern Munich player and Englishman, says Harry Kane is the rightful winner for the Ballon d'Or but also named another player he wouldn't mind winning:
"There are a few contenders, but you can't say which one of them clearly stands out", Hargreaves started." (Christopher Michel as captured by X account iMiaSanMia). "Harry Kane played incredibly well for FC Bayern and, of course, won the league. His goalscoring record was simply unbelievable – the number of goals he scored. Of course, he also had a very, very good World Cup, a strong World Cup where he scored a lot of goals. England finished third in that tournament – I mean, who else could it be?
"I thought Rodri was outstanding" the 45-year-old added. "He won both cup ******* les with Manchester City (FA Cup and Carabao Cup). He won the World Cup and was probably the best player in the tournament. If I were to vote, it would come down to these two players."
Harry Kane came off a blistering season for club and country in the 2025/26 season. He helped Bayern Munich to a league and cup double and spearheaded England's run to a bronze medal in the 2026 World Cup. Rodri's trophy haul might look more appealing, but Kane could make a case for himself with the impact he has on Bayern and England.

Dolly Parton's final resting place has already been prepared, and the country icon will share a memorial with her beloved husband, Carl Dean.
Exclusive photos obtained by In Touch reveal Parton's bronze marker at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, Tennessee, showing her name already engraved on the couple's shared marker opposite Dean's. Her January 19, 1946, birth date is also engraved, and there's a ***** e left for the "Jolene" singer's date of death.
Jeff Rayner/Coleman-Rayner
Dean's side bears his full name, Carl Thomas, along with his birth date, July 20, 1942, and the date of his death, March 3, 2025.
The marker also includes a nod to Parton and Dean's nearly 60-year marriage, with two intertwined wedding rings and their wedding date — May 30, 1966 — engraved in the center.

Tate McRae is putting her toned physique front and center in Calvin Klein's latest denim campaign. The 23-year-old singer and dancer stripped her look down to the essentials while posing for the brand's Fall 2026 "Feel the Fit" campaign, photographed by Carlijn Jacobs.
In one striking campaign shot, McRae reclines on a peach carpeted floor against a wall of mirrors. She wears a barely-there black bra with dark-wash Calvin Klein jeans. The low-slung denim sits beneath her belly ***** on, leaving her entire midriff exposed as she leans back against her reflection and poses barefoot.
McRae wore her long blonde hair loose and tousled around her shoulders, keeping the styling minimal and letting the denim and her abs command attention. Her makeup look features bronzed skin, rosy cheeks, and a glossy light pink lip.
The rest of the campaign features the "Sports Car" singer experimenting with several different ways to style Calvin Klein jeans. One image has McRae stretched across a black leather couch in a fitted cropped white T-shirt and roomy dark denim.
She goes barefoot once again, with warm lighting casting dramatic shadows across the frame. Another photo turns up the heat with McRae posing on her hands and knees in the same white baby tee. The denim dips dramatically at the back to reveal the Calvin Klein label.

Rihanna put her signature spin on off-duty dressing while stepping out in New York City. The singer was photographed checking out of her hotel before heading to Paris. She turned the sidewalk into her personal runway, wearing a denim micro miniskirt paired with a Miu Miu tracksuit jacket.
For the outing, Rihanna paired a sporty pink Miu Miu tracksuit jacket with an ultra-short dark-wash denim miniskirt. The micro silhouette sat high on her thighs, with its raw, frayed hem revealing flashes of a contrasting white layer underneath. The skirt featured an asymmetrical detail at the front, adding to its deconstructed feel. Rihanna wore it low on the hips, adding a relaxed look to its barely-there length.
On top, her Miu Miu jacket brought a distinctly retro sportswear element to the ensemble. The bubblegum pink zip-up featured white stripes running down the sleeves. Furthermore, it had ribbed cuffs, a ribbed hem, and a high collar that Rihanna wore partially popped. A small Miu Miu logo in white appeared on the chest.
She elevated the casual pairing with a set of strappy white heels, bringing a glamorous finish to the sporty denim combination. Rihanna also carried a roomy black quilted Dior handbag that was perfect for traveling. Additionally, the star wore a silver bracelet on one wrist.
Her accessories continued with large hoop earrings, a wide gold choker, and oversized red-tinted aviator sunglasses. She wore her dark hair in voluminous curls, while a bright red manicure provided another pop of color against the pink jacket. The singer opted for a bronzed look, featuring soft pink cheeks and a super-glossy lip.

"Please, boys. Don't make my final years a misery." The words of the future King Charles III as he pleaded with his two sons to patch things up at their grandfather's funeral in April 2021 have just acquired a whole new resonance.
The "boys", better known as Prince William and Prince Harry, never did make up. Indeed, their feud only darkened and deepened as the elder brother fumed at the younger's treachery towards the Royal family in general, and his wife, in particular. (Outrageously, in her interview with Oprah, Meghan accused unnamed members of the family of racism in relation to her unborn baby's skin colour.)
The last time Harry and William stood together, just the two of them, was in July 2021 at the unveiling of a bronze statue of their late mother on what would have been her 60th birthday. The pair could barely look at each other. For William, Harry's deeply personal and spiteful revelations two years later in his biography, Spare, were an unimaginable betrayal by the human being he once trusted best.
The last time the two brothers were together was in 2021, at the unveiling of a bronze statue of their late mother - Dominic Lipinski/AFP
A lid could be kept on that seething Shakespearean sibling rivalry, as long as Diana's beloved boys, now men in their 40s, were separated by an ocean. Harry and Meghan found freedom in California from the stultifying Windsor ways they so publicly scorned. The Waleses were left to steady the ship after the turbulence of "Megxit". They did so admirably and to universal acclaim despite Princess Catherine's shocking brush with cancer.

e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. (NYSE:ELF)'s growth story right now has a very famous face behind it. Rhode, the skincare and makeup brand founded by Hailey Bieber, was bought by e.l.f. for $1 billion a year ago. It contributed about $160 million of the $479.4 million in sales the company posted last quarter, helping total sales climb 36% and beat Wall Street's expectation of $431.2 million. By contrast, the core e.l.f. Brand actually declined.
Ulta Beauty, Inc. (NASDAQ:ULTA) told a very different story earlier this summer: its fiscal first-quarter sales climbed 11% to $3.16 billion as wealthier shoppers traded up to prestige brands.
Both retailers just beat expectations, but e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. (NYSE:ELF)'s growth is now riding almost entirely on one celebrity-founded brand while its own namesake line shrinks. Ulta's is coming from affluent shoppers splurging on prestige names.
That leaves a real question: is e.l.f.'s Rhode-powered growth a sign of real momentum, or a company becoming dangerously dependent on a single brand?
Rhode's appeal goes well beyond its Gen Z fanbase. CFO Mandy Fields said "everybody looks at her and aspires to do what she's doing," adding that women in their 40s are lining up for Rhode products too, a sign the brand isn't confined to one age group. Rhode's narrow, curated approach, going deep on a handful of categories like blushes, lips, and bronzer rather than chasing one viral hit, has driven strength broadly across its lineup. e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. (NYSE:ELF) also raised full-year guidance meaningfully: adjusted EPS to $3.50-$3.55 from $3.27-$3.32 and sales to $1.94 billion-$1.97 billion from $1.84 billion-$1.87 billion, both ahead of Wall Street's prior estimates. Management said trends for the core e.l.f. brand have already started improving, and it expects growth across every brand for the rest of the year. Profit also got a boost because Rhode outperformed the earnout targets set in the acquisition deal, prompting e.l.f. to record a $16.1 million fair value adjustment.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Instead of adding new roses, President Donald Trump's White House Rose Garden is growing statues.
Trump put statues of some of America's founders in the garden just off the Oval Office after he replaced its plush lawn with a white stone patio, turning the historic outdoor **** e into a look-alike of the one at his Mar-a-Lago home and private club in Palm Beach, Florida.
At least one statue was a gift. Others are on loan from people who wish to remain anonymous.
The latest addition, a bronze depiction of a seated Thomas Jefferson signing the Declaration of Independence, was a gift from George Lundeen, a sculptor from Loveland, Colorado. It joins statues already displayed there of George Washington, Alexander Hamilton and Ben Franklin. A fifth sculpture named "Freedom's Charge" is also on the patio.
The statues are part of Trump's sweeping series of White House renovations, from his gilded makeover of the Oval Office to the ballroom and helipad that the Republican president is having built on the south grounds. These projects fit into Trump's broader plan to leave his mark on downtown Washington through other construction projects, including a statue garden on federal land near the National Mall.

His defensive solidity was crucial for Portugal to lift the world ******* le for the first time in its history. His performances earned him notable individual accolades, being named the best player of the match in both the semifinals and the final, and receiving the Bronze Ball of the tournament, recognizing him as the third-best player of the competition.
Mauro stands out for his defensive strength, good positioning, ability to anticipate opponents, and remarkable quality in ball distribution. Despite his youth, he has demonstrated personality and competitive maturity in high-level international settings.
With his arrival, Girona adds a player with enormous growth potential and great future prospects, further reinforcing the Club's commitment to developing young talents with the potential to continue evolving within the red-and-white structure.

EAST QUOGUE, N.Y. — There are few surprises more delectable for a culture writer than walking into a room full of people all dressed alike unintentionally. That's how you know you've found yourself among an insular tribe, that you've fallen through a portal to a world with its own unspoken customs and idols.
Bethenny Frankel's Supermodel Café, a bagel and coffee pop-up tucked into a picturesque Southampton storefront, is exactly such a room. And 10 minutes after it opened to the public on Aug. 13, I am fighting for my life trying to order a Cookie ******* er Latte as the entire pink-and-white ******* e is swarmed by glamorous women and girls in the same color palette.
Dresses are lacy and ruffled; accessories are gold and raffia; cheeks are blushed and bronzed within an inch of their lives. The handbags are uniformly beige and brown leather, and every fingernail in the building is tastefully manicured in pink or white, even on the young girls. The line outside curls all the way around the block.
The line grows as staffers hand out candy, refreshments and light bites. - (Bea Oyster/The Washington Post)
And what brings all these gals here today? What are they most dying to try?

Most Liverpool fans expected their club to have a big summer. This was certainly the case when Arne Slot was replaced by Andoni Iraola as manager following the end of the 2025/26 season. This was predicted to be the start of a transformational period for the Anfield club. So far, though, Iraola's appointment has been a false start.
As things stand, Liverpool has made just two permanent signings this summer. One of those was a deal completed in February with Jeremy Jacquet only making the move to Merseyside once the transfer window opened. The other was for Victor Munoz, a winger most expect to be a depth option for the Reds.

Ronald Araujo has joined on loan from Barcelona to give Iraola more depth in the defensive ranks. The Uruguayan fell down the pecking order at the Camp Nou and is hopeful that a switch to the Premier League will revitalise him. Araujo, however, isn't a long-term addition for the Anfield club.

Cameroon claimed a first Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) ****** le when they thumped surprise package Malawi 3-0 in the final, as Marie Ngah's first-half double helped seal victory on Sunday.
Cameroon had lost three finals but made it fourth-time lucky against a Malawi side making their debut at the continental championship. Ranked 153 in the world and 32nd on the African continent, Malawi had a fairytale run to the decider.
The two finalists had already sealed their place at the Women's World Cup in Brazil next year, along with fellow semifinalists Morocco and Algeria. The latter finished third after winning the bronze medal fixture on penalties on Saturday.
Under pressure FIFA chief Gianni Infantino was all smiles as he handed the Indomitable Lionesses their medals in the presence of Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe, with several players requesting photographs with the Swiss.
Infantino has long enjoyed the support of many on the African continent as he bids for re-election next March despite revelations of his now-abandoned plans to sell a stake in future World Cups that drew worldwide condemnation.
