In May, longtime MMA promoter Scott ***** er announced his impending return to the sport. On Monday, it was revealed that his new venture will be known as Ki MMA.
Coker, alongside business partner Peter Levin and Ki MMA matchmaker Rich Chou, shared details of his new promotion at a press conference in New York. Ki MMA is expected to officially launch in the first quarter of 2027 and will hold fights in a ring rather than a cage.
To explain the origin of the new promotion's name, ***** er said:
"The name, to me, had to have a martial arts meaning to it. When I thought about Ki, 'Kiai' is the very first thing that you learn in martial arts — your inner yell. 'Ki' meaning 'inner,' 'Ai' meaning 'yell.' So, it had to be something 'martial arts energy.' The spirit of all life force revolves around Ki. That was the genesis of the name.

The energy outside Cipriani, in Lower Manhattan, across from the Charging Bull statue on Broadway, seemed conspicuously suspended in a different time. It was as if crossing the threshold into the Financial District sent me back a decade, to the genesis of this current generation's cultural aesthetic—to the lines at VFiles, the SoHo clothing store whose Howard St. storefront once served as epicenter of the nascent fusion of the worlds of streetwear, hip-hop, and high fashion. All of this was because Kai Cenat, the popular Twitch streamer and content creator, was making his runway debut. The fashion show for his brand Vivet's first collection drew a crowd of the current generation's innovators, giving a reminiscent feeling to the last time a popular figure came crashing through the gates of mainstream fashion.

Zillow Group (NASDAQ: ZG) resolved its antitrust lawsuit with the Federal Trade Commission and five state attorneys general on Monday, heading off a federal trial scheduled to begin this week. On August 13, Cellebrite (NASDAQ:CLBT) named a new chief executive and trimmed its full-year outlook on the same morning. Shiven Ramji stepped in as CEO effective that day, replacing Tom Hogan, while the company lowered its 2026 revenue and ARR targets after several large government deals slipped past the quarter. Management highlighted positive growth drivers during the call, including its first major FedRAMP contract for Guardian and early customer adoption for its newly launched AI platform, Genesis.
Underneath the disappointment, the underlying numbers still point up. Annual recurring revenue grew 21% year over year to $508 million, and revenue reached $131 million, up 16%, with subscription revenue making up 91% of that total. Gross margin was 86%, and adjusted EBITDA reached $31.8 million (a 24% margin). Cellebrite also raised its full-year adjusted EBITDA target to $153 million to $159 million.
Growth is also getting broader. Defense and intelligence ARR jumped 25%, and U.S. federal government growth accelerated into the mid-teens after sitting flat at the end of 2025. Asia Pacific was the standout region, growing 29%. The newer products are starting to matter too. Cellebrite closed its first major FedRAMP deal for Guardian with a long-standing US federal customer, an initial seven-figure order that was nearly 35 times the average annual spend of roughly $50,000 by a typical state or local agency. Genesis, a consumption-based AI product that launched June 10, 2026, pulled in about $400,000 in ARR within its first weeks and had already landed more than half a dozen customers by the end of the quarter, with trials expanding into the UK, Australia and Europe.
The reasons for the guidance cut are just as concrete. A handful of large transactions that management expected to close in the second quarter instead slipped beyond it, partly because of new administrative and procurement requirements tied to Cellebrite's foreign entity status with US federal and European government customers. At the same time, the shift toward the company's Insights product is not generating as much extra pricing and footprint expansion as expected, especially among US state and local government customers, where growth slowed to just below 20% from the mid-20% range a year earlier. Without newer product offerings such as Advanced Unlocks and Guardian Investigate, management said state and local government growth would have been in the mid-teens.

Hyundai Motor is considering expanding production capacity at its Georgia ******* embly plant from 500,000 vehicles annually to between 700,000 and 800,000 units by 2028, CEO José Muñoz told CNBC on Thursday. The South Korean automaker said following publication of the interview that the plans are under consideration but not yet confirmed.
At the upper end of that range, the Georgia Metaplant would leapfrog rivals — among them Tesla and Toyota Motor — to claim the top spot among U.S. vehicle ******* embly plants measured by capacity.
Muñoz said President Donald Trump's tariffs, including a 15% levy on imports from South Korea, have accelerated the company's localization plans. "Tariffs are helping accelerate our localization plan. That's very, very simple," he said. "The good thing is that we had already started before tariffs were announced. So in a way it's helping us to accelerate."
Any such expansion would be funded through Hyundai's already-announced $26 billion U.S. investment commitment running to 2028. Hyundai has targeted a domestic production share of at least 80% of the vehicles it moves in the U.S. market by 2030, compared with roughly 40% in 2024. "For that purpose, we need to add more capacity," Muñoz said.
The $7.6 billion Metaplant, which Hyundai first announced in 2022, is currently turning out the all-electric Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 9 models alongside the Kia Sportage hybrid. The facility is designed to build hybrid and all-electric vehicles for the Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia brands. The Chargers hosted the 49ers for a joint practice on Tuesday, and if social media is any indicator, Los Angeles dominated their California neighbors from up north.
The Bolts were toying with the Niners for the most part, as evidenced by reports and videos out of El Segundo. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was dealing, as the offense was by far the best unit in the practices. Mike McDaniel's offense looked crisp and sharp with the starters.
Herbter's deep ball gave the San Francisco secondary fits all practice long.
The Chargers and 49ers went back and forth with each other, but Los Angeles got the best of them in many areas including the red zone. They had five total team periods, and four of the five team periods came in the red zone when Herbert and Ladd McConkey put up their best performance.

Arizona safeties coach Brett Arce took time from a busy Thursday evening to catch some NFL preseason action, where several of his former pupils were notching their first reps as professionals.
The debuts of Dalton Johnson and Treydan Stukes of the Las Vegas Raiders and Genesis Smith of the Los Angeles Chargers brought Arce much delight. All three developed into NFL Draft picks under his tutelage.
"I was so proud of those guys," Arce said. "And then just to see the reaction of all their teammates. Everybody's cheering when they're making the plays."
Their presence in the NFL is also a reminder of how much talent Arizona needs to replace at the safety position. The Wildcats' safeties room this summer is full of new faces, including several transfer portal additions.
Arizona returns two players at the position in senior Johno Price and sophomore Dajon Hinton, who is recovering from a knee injury he suffered in the Holiday Bowl. Joining the group are Matai Tagoa'i (USC), Lee Molette (UConn), Daylen Austin (Oregon) and Cam Chappa (Northern Colorado). Former walk-on Quinn Olson is also expected to see significant playing time.

CBS averaged 2.59 million viewers during its Sunday broadcast of the Wyndham Championship, a 33 percent increase from last year, according to Josh Carpenter with Sports Business Journal. The final round broadcast peaked at just shy of 4 million viewers as Michael Brennan made birdie on the 72nd hole to seal a three-shot win, nabbing the second PGA Tour victory of his career.
The network also saw stellar ratings Saturday, with an average of 1.79 million, making it the most-watched weekend at the Wyndham Championship since 2015, when Tiger Woods finished in a tie for 10th. Golf Channel's weekday coverage was up 22 percent year-over-year, averaging 614,000 viewers over the first two rounds.
Of the 26 non-major PGA Tour events, only three had final rounds that failed to eclipse an average of 2 million viewers, those being the pair of January tournaments that went head-to-head with the NFL Playoffs, as well as the Genesis Scottish Open, which suffered from a large time zone gap for American audiences but still managed to draw 1.94 million.

The Chargers completed Day 8 of training camp, with several players standing out throughout practice.
Although several Chargers impressed on Day 8, two players stood out more than anyone else, and both came from the same position group. Safeties Elijah Molden and rookie safety Genesis Smith showed up and showed out.
Smith intercepted Justin Herbert after a pass went through Charlie Kolar's hands. As for Molden, he had an interception in a 7-on-7 drill against Trey Lance after Donte Jackson dove and tipped the ball into the air.
Chargers defensive coordinator Chris O'Leary was impressed with Smith's play on Thursday.
"Ball skills, QB anticipation and ball skills [are] really impressive," O'Leary said of Smith. "Today, he showed up when the pads came on a little bit.

BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg have signed Genesis Antwi (19) from Chelsea FC, both clubs have announced. The Sweden U21 international right-back is the first Chelsea player to join the Alsatians on loan this summer. Mykhailo Mudryk could follow suit. Antwi has regularly played for Chelsea's Under-21 side in the past two seasons.
The right-back made his first senior team appearances during Chelsea's run to their maiden UEFA Conference League ***** le in 2024-2025. In a long-form interview with The Sunday Times, the Grammy winner opened up about his three failed marriages and revealed he hopes to fall in love again.
"My personal life is a minefield," Phil, 75, told the outlet, before describing how his first marriage, to childhood sweetheart Andrea Bertorelli, failed after his constant international touring with the band Genesis impelled her to have an affair with their interior decorator.
"I felt I had a duty to the guys (in the band) not to be the one to say, I'm sorry, I can't go to America three times this year and Europe twice and ******* an," he explained, before adding he had been "frustrated and angry" that Andrea had not been particularly understanding.
Phil's next marriage, to Jill Tavelman - with whom he shares actress daughter Lily Collins, 37 - lasted 12 years, until he fell in love with a 21-year-old translator, Orianne Cevey. The split was made public after an angry, five-page fax he had sent to Jill was leaked to The Sun newspaper.
Finally, seven years later, his third wife left him and they divorced - only for Phil and Orianne to reunite and move to Florida together six years after that. Shortly afterwards, she blindsided him by marrying another man in Las Vegas.

Ludvig Åberg’s U.K. fortnight didn’t get off to the best of starts.
Prior to last week’s Genesis Scottish Open, Åberg had to replace his driver shaft and launch monitor after both were damaged on his travel overseas.
Åberg flew from Boston to his native Sweden following the Travelers Championship, though his bags, including his golf bags, didn’t join him for three days. When they finally arrived, Åberg discovered the damage.
“When I pulled it out my driver was snapped in half,” Åberg said during an on-course interview on Tuesday at Royal Birkdale. “My Foresight, the [GC] Quad that I use, was cracked in half.”
Åberg missed the cut last Friday at Renaissance Club and enters this week’s Open Championship without a top-10 finish since his T-4 at the PGA Championship. However, Åberg has been solid in recent majors, currently riding a streak of four straight top-25s in those biggest events since missing back-to-back cuts, at last year’s PGA and U.S. Open.

It is officially Open Championship week and time for the 154th edition of golf’s oldest major, which is being held at Royal Birkdale for the 11th time.
But first, American pros headed over early for some links prep and went about getting on some of the U.K.’s many gems. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler had some extra time on his hands after missing the cut at the Genesis Scottish Open and took in North Berwick Golf Club, one of several great courses in East Lothian, and with son Bennett in tow.
Over in England, Akshay Bhatia and Rickie Fowler explored one of the neighboring Southport courses, where Tommy Fleetwood cut his teeth in the game at West Lancs Golf Club. Very cool of them to bring junior member George Crompton along for the ride. Imagine he won't soon forget that experience.

Tom Kim captured the biggest victory of his PGA Tour career Sunday, winning the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland.
With weather delays forcing part of the field to complete the third round Sunday morning, players faced a busy final day before Kim emerged atop the leaderboard.
The 24-year-old fired a bogey-free, 6-under 64 in the final round to finish at 17-under for the tournament, securing his fourth PGA Tour victory. Kim made just one bogey over the weekend as he continued his return to top form.
After finishing 108th in the FedEx Cup standings last season, Kim has enjoyed a strong resurgence in 2026 and now sits 32nd in the standings heading into next week's final major championship.
Min Woo Lee finished alone in second place at 15-under. Keita Nakajima, Johnny Keefer, Matt Fitzpatrick and Robert MacIntyre tied for third at 13-under.

You have to go back to 2022 to find the last time world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler missed a cut. That remarkable run came to an end Friday at the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club, snapping a streak of 78 consecutive made cuts on the PGA Tour.
Outside of Tiger Woods' PGA Tour record of 142 consecutive made cuts, Scheffler's streak was the longest among active players and one of the most remarkable displays of consistency in the modern era.
Scheffler carded a 2-over 72 in the second round to finish two shots outside the cut line. After opening with a 2-under 68 on Thursday, he began Friday just three shots off the lead and appeared well positioned heading into the weekend. But a sluggish start quickly derailed his round, as bogeys on two of his first three holes dropped him behind the cut line. Despite settling in over the remainder of the day, he was unable to recover.
"Got off to a poor start and after that, I didn't really hit it close enough to give myself a bunch of looks," Scheffler said. "That's how you shoot over par."

Chris Gotterup is looking to become the first player to successfully defend the Scottish Open crown, Gotterup, who is also going for back-to-back wins after capturing the John Deere Classic last weekend, shot an opening round 2-under 68.

Rory McIlroy claimed a share of the early lead after an opening-round 65 at the Genesis Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club. Starting at the 10th, the 2023 champion's first nine was a mixed bag which began and ended with bogeys but had three birdies in between as he turned at one under.
But the 601-yard first played to his strengths as a 352-yard drive was followed by a four-iron to inside 19 feet for an eagle.
That should have kick-started a charge but he missed a three-foot birdie attempt at the par-3 third and a 14-footer at the next.
But he was on in two at the 575-yard seventh and two-putted from 61 feet to get to 4 under, tied the lead with a 16-foot putt from the fringe at the next and saved par with a brilliant, back-spinning bunker shot at the last.
"I thought for the most part, I played well. I felt like I drove the ball particularly well, and I started to see that at Shinnecock a couple weeks ago," said McIlroy. "It's a continuation of putting the ball in play and then once I do that I feel like I can attack courses and I can set up scoring opportunities.
