Clooney paired the makeup with a custom black Tom Ford gown by Haider Ackermann and Cartier jewelry worth approximately $375,000. She was in Venice with husband George Clooney, who received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement during the festival's opening ceremony.
Giannetos kept the beauty considerably softer than the architecture of the dress. He described the overall effect as "soft and ethereal," pairing warm skin and defined eyes with a muted lip and long brunette waves that he had shifted into a richer "blurred brown" shade for fall.
Vogue Italia identified Clooney's gown as a custom Tom Ford design in black silk taffeta. The column silhouette was shaped by narrow sculptural panels and irregular razor-sharp pleats, while sheer black georgette panels ran along the sides.

Prince George, who turned 13 in July, is hitting a new milestone in September.
Kensington Palace confirmed that he would be starting school at Eton College come the fall semester. He is following in the footsteps of his father, Prince William, and uncle, Prince Harry, who also attended the prestigious boarding school.
Eton College houses about 1,350 students across 25 boarding houses, and each boy has his own room, per their website. Since its founding in 1440, the school has educated 20 British prime ministers, cultural figures and generations of royals.
The school is also close to William and Kate Middleton's family home, about a 15-minute drive from Forest Lodge in Windsor.
As a student, Prince William often walked to Windsor Castle on Sundays to have lunch with Queen Elizabeth. Now, George will become the next future king to join the royal tradition at Eton.

The ruling formalizes an April decision in which a Los Angeles Superior Court judge issued terminating sanctions and cancelled an August trial date.
"The court is granting terminating sanctions because plaintiff willfully refused to comply with three discovery orders over nearly ten months, made affirmative misrepresentations to the court about compliance, and has still provided no responses as of April 21, 2026," read the court's decision.

The Oscar-winning actress took to the stage at the Rise Up, Sing Out concert held at The Town Hall in New York City on Sunday night.
The concert was organised by members of the Committee for the First Amendment - a collective of artists and cultural leaders who seek to "celebrate the freedoms guaranteed by our First Amendment - of speech, religion, press, ***** embly, and protest".
Addressing the crowd, Fonda claimed U.S. President Donald Trump and his administration are "routinely violating" the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution "to silence artists".
"Shuttering institutions like the Kennedy Center, defunding museums and the National Endowment of the Arts, and banning books, cancelling TV hosts who speak out," she said. "It's really bad. And it's being allowed by cowardly corporations. I'm not gonna name names right now. But I am honoured now to pass the mic to artists and activists who continue to speak up and sing out so that we might be inspired to rise up. Showing up is an act of hope, and you all give me hope."
Fonda went on to argue that it doesn't matter whether someone sides with the Democratic or Republican party.
