Tilray Brands will stop producing beer at its Terrapin facility in Athens, Georgia as the cannabis and beverages group continues to "optimise" its US beer network.
In a statement, the group said from 25 September, it will move "brewing production from Athens to other breweries within our network".
It said the move was part of "ongoing efforts to optimise our brewing network and support our long-term operating model".
The Nasdaq-listed company added: "With robust brewing operations across the country, this transition allows us to continue serving customers efficiently while leveraging the scale and capabilities of our broader brewery footprint."
The taproom, warehouse and repack operations in Athens "will remain open and continue serving customers from the current location".

JERUSALEM, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Israel's military on Sunday closed the West Bank village of Taybeh to non-residents, saying it aimed to prevent growing attacks ‌on Palestinians by Israeli settlers across the West Bank.
The order, the military ‌said, only applies to Israelis and not to Palestinians. A spokesperson said turning Taybeh into a closed military zone was "due to some violent attacks by Israelis in the region."
"Upon receiving any report of violations of the order, IDF soldiers are dispatched to the area and operate to disperse the gatherings and detain suspects in order to protect the citizens of the ‌area and to maintain order," ⁠the military said in a statement.
Taybeh is one of the only Christian villages remaining in the West Bank and was visited last ⁠year by the Greek Orthodox patriarch and the Roman Catholic cardinal of Jerusalem.
It is also home to the Taybeh Brewing Co, widely considered the Middle East's oldest microbrewery.

The Seattle Seahawks held their eighth public training camp practices early Friday morning, a special practice for season ticket holders and their guests. It was another warm day at team headquarters in Renton, albeit less smoky and hazy than earlier in the week. Much like Wednesday's practice, the Seahawks were not in pads, and indeed they mixed things up with the 11 vs. 11 sessions. There was first-team offense vs. second-team defense, third-team offense vs. first-team defense, the usual 1s vs. 1s and 2s vs. 2s, plus a lot of situational football like red zone and 3rd-and-long work that often decides actual games.
For the second time this week, Field Gulls was on-site at VMAC observing what was just about a three-hour long practice. Myself and fellow Field Gulls staff writer and host of The Hawks Eye podcast, Bryce Coutts, as well as Seahawks Forever podcast host, Dan Viens, filmed an instant reaction video after practice ended with our quick-fire takeaways. We discuss the absence of Jadarian Price (which we now know is due to "lower body soreness" per Gregg Bell), the impressive performances of Emanuel Wilson and Ricky White III, a name to watch at the edge, and a promised wrinkle in Brian Fleury's offense that we saw heavily worked on in today's practice.

Of course, I have no say. It's a decision made by Illini head coach . But here's a few friendly suggestions.
is No. 1 on my list. The Chicago native and Illinois starting point guard isn't just a good talker. She's not afraid to say what's on her mind at the time. That's a welcomed sight for a reporter. A Wisconsin brewery known for anti-Trump social media posts, including one promising a free beer promotion upon the death of President Donald Trump, has had its permit to operate in the state revoked by state officials.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Monday that liberal activist and brewery owner Kirk Bangstad is "vowing to fight 'tooth and nail' after receiving a letter from the state's Department of Revenue revoking Minocqua Brewing Co.'s permit to operate in Wisconsin, according to a July 26 newsletter sent to his supporters."
"As you can imagine, I'm not taking this lying down," Bangstad wrote in a Substack post on Sunday. "We're going to fight the state of Wisconsin tooth and nail, and once again, they'll have to pry me out of my taprooms before I stop selling beer to thirsty progressives who come to visit us."

Chicago — Conference realignment has thrown a wrench in many of college football's traditional rivalries. At least one Big Ten coach says he feels a new one brewing with Michigan.
Tuesday at Big Ten Media Days, USC head coach Lincoln Riley said that the past two season's games against Michigan have taken on the air of a rivalry. And though the Wolverines aren't on the schedule this season, he's looking forward to building more history with the Big Ten's traditional teams.
"This has got a little bit of juice behind it," Riley said. "Whether it's at the Big House or at the Coliseum, those two programs walk on the field, those two helmets walk on the field, it's like, ***** , you know. This is real. It's pretty cool, and I think everybody kind of feels that."

Aston Villa have launched an ambitious loan bid for Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho. TalkSPORT broke the news, relayed by Transfer Feed, revealing that Villa are trying to lock down personal terms with the 21-year-old Argentine after inserting a conditional obligation-to-buy clause into the proposal.
Stamford Bridge officials haven't formally greenlit a temporary exit just yet. Still, Garnacho's name sits firmly on the transfer list. That in itself is a staggering turn of events. Chelsea spent £40 million to ****** him from Manchester United only last August, yet his stay in West London has turned sour fast.
Speaking publicly about the situation, Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso didn't hide the interest brewing elsewhere. He acknowledged that sporting directors are actively locked in talks, expressing hope that the saga ends on good terms for everyone involved. Chelsea initially slapped a £42.5 million price tag on the wide man. In fact, both Garnacho and Nicolas Jackson were dangled in front of Villa during negotiations for Morgan Rogers.

The quarterback play of the Minnesota Vikings has been a rollercoaster in terms of who is under center in recent years. Despite that, the play of their passers has been decent up until last season, when an often-injured and inconsistent J.J. McCarthy made the offense come to a screeching halt.
The Minnesota Vikings need to have a better offense in 2026, plain and simple. The Vikings did what they could to improve it, and now they will be leaning on former Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray to lead them into their next chapter. That move was enough for Bleacher Report's Moe Moton to include them among his top five teams improved this offseason.
Moton writes, "Although Murray underperformed in Arizona over the last few years, he could see a career resurgence under O'Connell, who has called plays for a top-six passing offense in three of his four years with the Vikings. The 28-year-old signal-caller needs to stay healthy, though. Murray joined a team with a solid wide receiver duo in two-time All-Pro Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Minnesota signed Jennings, who caught 55 passes for 643 yards and a career-high nine touchdowns last season with the San Francisco 49ers. Murray is going to have the best supporting cast of his career. Pairing that with a coaching staff that has shown they can get the most of reclamation projects at quarterback. The perfect storm could be brewing for the Vikings on offense in 2026.

WOMEN'S PROFESSIONAL FIELD

The Seattle Seahawks have been relatively clean when it comes to off the field issues, particularly arrests these past few years. The last time an active Seahawk was arrested was back in 2022 when Geno Smith was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving. Smith did not face any charges after that arrest. However, this recent clean slate may come to an end if a recent report ends up brewing into something more.
According to Pro Football Talk, agent Nicole Lynn testified that her client, free agent cornerback Terrion Arnold, has seen interest around the NFL, including from Seattle. The entire testimony stated that the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Houston Texans, and the Seahawks have all shown interest. The Texans were also noted to have worked out Arnold. Adam Schefter confirmed that Arnold took a physical with the Texans and that he will visit two more teams next week. Lynn further testified that there is a "very good likelihood" that Arnold will sign with a team within the next 45 days.
There is a lot to unpack with these reports. First, the legal issues that Arnold is currently facing, and may face in the future. Second, what a potential Arnold addition could do to help (or hurt) the Seahawks on the field. And third, would fans even want to add Arnold considering what he is accused of doing.
Arnold was arrested earlier this summer on felony charges of armed robbery and kidnapping. In Florida, these charges carry a maximum penalty of up to life in prison. Authorities accused Arnold of orchestrating the abduction and beating of three men whom prosecutors believe were wrongly suspected of stealing luxury goods and $100,000 in cash from Arnold's AirBnB rental in Florida. Prosecutors further claim that although Arnold was not present at the time of the abduction and beating, he directed his ***** ociates to hold, beat, and pistol-whip the victims.
After turning himself in to authorities, Arnold was released from custody after posting bond. One condition of this release was that Arnold must be confined to his residence in Florida except when he would be playing, training, and traveling with an NFL team, or if he was making court-related appearances or legal appointments. Essentially Arnold would be allowed to workout for other NFL teams as well as participate in training camp, preseason, and other football activities. However, this will not be with the Detroit Lions, who released Arnold shortly after his arrest earlier this summer.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight king Israel Adesanya is going in a new direction.

Posting a video on his personal YouTube channel on Thursday ****** led “I’m Leaving CKB,” Adesanya explained that he was doing just that: departing the confines of Auckland, New Zealand-based camp City Kickboxing. The 36-year-old ex-kickboxer has fallen on hard times as of late, dropping four straight, although two of his last four outings were for his old middleweight ****** le.

The split came effective May 20, per “The Last Stylebender,” who does so a little under two months after losing to Joe Pyfer by knockout in the UFC Seattle headliner. Per the fighter, he needed a fresh start, and most importantly, personalized training instead of being in a room full of top-ranked athletes who all vie for attention from the coaches. Adesanya claimed it had been brewing for a while, and that he still mourns the absence of the team as a main part of his life.
Adesanya stated, “So [Wednesday, May 20], I spoke to [head coach] Eugene [Bareman] face-to-face, and I told him I am not coming back to CKB,” Adesanya opened with in his video. “This was something a long time coming behind the scenes, and we have an understanding. I won’t lie; it sucks.”

He continued, “Grief comes in waves for me. For most people, I’ve grieved before, so this, it comes in waves. I’ve had great days, but also there’s days where I’m like [exasperated sigh]. And it’s a long time coming, I just want to get it out [of] the way because I want you to hear from the horse’s mouth because no one else has spoken about it. I guess those who know are waiting for the ball to drop, so [motions a ball dropping] I dropped the ball.”

The former champion was simultaneous gracious for those that helped him grow over the years and crestfallen that it was the end of an era.

“It’s bittersweet,” he admitted, “but it’s the right thing for me. Especially where I am at in my career, it’s exactly what I needed. Insanity is doing the same s--t and expecting different results, so…I think that’s it, I just don’t want to talk about it. It’s something like I said that sucks, I want to grieve in peace.”

Having a bit more to get out after all, the Nigerian-born athlete carried on, saying, “[If] people want to bring it up, that’s cool, don’t ask me about it…2009 is when I first went to CKB, 2010 is when I moved over, and I established myself in Auckland to train at CKB. CKB made me into the fighter that I am today. They’ve trained a lot of great fighters. Greats, even better than myself, but me as an individual, CKB made me into the fighter that I am today. But also, I was one of the main pillars who put CKB on the map on the world stage. To take it to the next level, where people from all over the world want to come train at CKB, and I’m proud of that.”

Spending £30m on someone destined to sit on the bench looks like a massive waste of resources. However, it's a different case if Rogers is sold. Meanwhile, the money needs to go elsewhere.

Forness was blunt on the QB room: “I’m of the belief that whoever does not win the quarterback job… I don’t expect both J.J. McCarthy and Kyler Murray to be on the opening day roster. I think one of them will be gone.”

QB Competition & Trades: Forness sees Kyler Murray as the heavy favorite. “The Vegas implied odds are that Kyler Murray’s about 90% favorite to win the job… General managers around the league… believe Kyler Murray is gonna win the job. If J.J. McCarthy wins the job, it’s a coup.” He added that the loser will likely push for a trade: “If Kyler Murray does lose the job, he’s going to ask for a trade… I wouldn’t blame either quarterback for asking out.”

It has become clear why the Milwaukee Bucks didn't take the Boston Celtics' offer for Giannis Antetokounmpo which included superstar Jaylen Brown. But for the Celtics? There are a lot of questions to answer after it was clear that they were willing to deal one of their best players.
Given that Brown probably isn't happy with his name being thrown out there -- he sure didn't sound pleased -- the Celtics now have to placate him in some way... or they could turn around and trade him elsewhere.
There's another way to make him happy, and that's to pay him a ton more. Per ESPN's Shams Charania, Brown is "extension eligible" in July, so that could be a chip the Celtics use to keep him in Boston so he and Jayson Tatum can continue to contend together.
That's an intriguing wrinkle, but it was a risky one. If you don't get the deal done for the Bucks superstar -- and obviously they didn't -- you risk ticking off one of your best players and souring that relationship. So there's clearly some drama brewing in Beantown here, and we'll see how it plays out.

One of college football‘s biggest sagas in recent memory came to an end this week, but it remains a major topic across the sports world. Texas Tech and Brendan Sorsby mutually agreed to part ways, clearing the path for Sorsby to enter the NFL. The news came as a massive relief throughout college football. Otherwise, a Big 12-Texas Tech civil war appeared to be brewing.
One prominent voice in the sport echoed what much of the college football world was thinking about how the situation concluded. Fans and media members alike found themselves agreeing with Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti. During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Cignetti discussed the Sorsby-Texas Tech controversy.
Although Sorsby ultimately will not continue his college career—as many believe he shouldn’t—Cignetti knows the larger issues remain unresolved.
