Enes Kanter Freedom's battle with the WNBA rolls on after the former NBA center was ejected from Sunday night's Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky matchup following a confrontation with Chicago guard Natasha Cloud.
Kanter Freedom was sitting courtside wearing a shirt reading "WOMAN noun. adult human female." Late in the third quarter, Cloud could be seen shouting at the self-proclaimed "human rights activist," while Kanter responded by stretching out his arms and taking a step toward the court before being removed by security.
On Wednesday, Fox News reported that Kanter Freedom, who has since been banned from attending Sky home games, has sent a letter to the WNBA, requesting, among other things, "an explanation for the basis of my ejection" and a full refund for the cost of his tickets.
Kanter Freedom claims Cloud was the instigator for the incident, saying the WNBA veteran "turned from the court, approached my seat, and began yelling, cursing, and pointing in my direction."
"According to the WNBA, any physical or verbal altercation with a fan is treated as conduct detrimental to the game," Kanter Freedom wrote. "The WNBA Office holds the authority to issue heavy fines or multi-game suspensions for players who cross the line into berating or cursing at spectators. These solution-mined cavities are gigantic, often 300 feet wide and 2,000 feet tall, large enough to stack the Empire State Building inside.
Because these caverns operate entirely on a liquid displacement system, they can never be left empty. If the fluids were removed without replacement, the immense geological weight of the overlying earth would cause the salt domes to collapse inward like a crushed shield. Consequently, the total volume of fluid inside the reserve must be permanently maintained at 714 million barrels. However, the actual crude oil inventory tells a sobering story. The crude oil volume currently stands at approximately 293 million barrels. The remainder is entirely heavy salt brine used to push the oil out. Operating below this 300-million-barrel threshold pushes the aging infrastructure into uncharted and hazardous territory.
According to the Department of Energy, the absolute physical minimum crude oil inventory is approximately 70 million barrels. Zillow and Redfin have reached a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and five states, ending a legal fight over a 2025 partnership that the FTC claimed hurt competition in the rental-listing market. The ad featured popular Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon celebrating the Hindu festival in which sisters tie a thread called Rakhi over their brothers' wrists.
Sanon, who is seen in a cropped top, skirt and a drape, addressed her critics on Tuesday night saying "culture and traditions are in a woman's heart, not in her neckline!"
The row started earlier on Tuesday after actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut called the ad "intentionally creepy" and asked why someone would tie a Rakhi dressed in a bikini.

Esmerlyn Valdez finally found one. After 24 games without a home run, Valdez turned on a 90 mph fastball from Robbie Ray on Monday night and sent it 413 feet into the left-center-field seats at Petco Park. The ball left his bat at 111.6 mph, giving Pittsburgh its first run in 22 innings and ending the longest power drought of Valdez's young major-league career. It was the kind of swing that made him look like one of baseball's most terrifying rookies earlier this summer. The Ohio State running backs room shed another black stripe on Tuesday.
Ohio State football announced on social media that freshman running back Legend Bey became the latest to shed his stripe after practice. Bey arrived as one of the top running back prospects in the 2026 recruiting cycle, ranked as the No. 127 player overall in the 24/7 Sports Composite.
The black stripe tradition started in Columbus when then-head coach Urban Meyer brought it over from his previous coaching stops. The tradition consists of a black stripe going down the middle of the Ohio State helmet, and that stripe is only removed when the coaching staff deems a player has done enough on and off the field to show they have officially "bought into" the program and understand what it takes to represent the university.
A black stripe removal does not mean that a player is promised playing time immediately, and Bey will certainly have his work cut out for him as the Buckeyes' running back situation is one of the best in the country. Still, the talented freshman has made an impression early and has shown he could have what it takes to get some carries in the rotation.

ATLANTA (AP) — Golf Channel postponed Tuesday night's scheduled premiere of the reality show "Big Break x Good Good" by one week because one of the sponsors wanted out, as pressure increased on popular content creator Good Good Golf for its video that showed a man shoving a woman to the ground as she reached for a new Callaway driver.
Golf Channel said postponing the show to Sept. 1 "will allow for necessary production updates following a request from one of the show's sponsors to remove its branding from the series."
Although Golf Channel did not identify the sponsor, multiple reports said it was retailer Golf Galaxy, which had been listed as a presenting sponsor of the show.
The video — an ad for the Callaway driver — was deleted by Good Good late Friday, a day after it first was posted and immediately drew negative reaction for portraying violence against women. The characters in the ad are both with Good Good.

The Federal Trade Commission announced Monday that it settled anti-trust litigation against Zillow and Redfin alleging that the companies colluded to limit competition in internet listing services for apartment rentals.
An FTC order requires Zillow and Redfin to reverse a 2025 agreement under which Zillow paid Redfin $100 million to close its ILS service, repost apartment listings only provided by Zillow, shift its customers to Zillow and stay out of the ILS market for up to nine years, the commission said.
"This settlement delivers better, quicker, more certain results for both renters and property management companies than we would have been able to achieve after prevailing at trial, including firm and enforceable commitments by Redfin to relaunch its rentals advertising business," Daniel Guarnera, director of the FTC's Bureau of Competition, said in a statement.
Under the FTC order, which will be active for 10 years, Zillow and Redfin agreed to remove restrictions on Redfin's ability to sell advertising services and display its own customers' listings, the commission said. Redfin will also be freed from any requirement to provide Zillow with nonpublic or competitively advantageous business information.

Kanter Freedom attended the game at Wintrust Arena and sat courtside wearing a shirt that read, "WOMAN noun. adult human female." During a verbal exchange with Sky guard Natasha Cloud in the third quarter, Kanter Freedom stepped over photographers to encroach on the baseline during a dead ball.
A combination of team and arena security immediately removed Kanter from the court and eventually from the arena. Aug 25 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that all mines had been detonated or removed from international waters of the Strait of Hormuz and that Iran has been told that any ship or boat placing new mines will be destroyed.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the United States, through its Space Force, was watching "every square inch" of the Strait, a key waterway in the global energy supply chain.
"There is a Zero Tolerance policy on mine placement in full force and effect," Trump said.
The U.S. and Iran have not conducted air strikes on each other's militaries for weeks, but attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz have continued as the two sides vie for control of the narrow maritime passage.
Oil transits through the strait were at 5 million barrels per day on Monday, provisional data from shiptracker Vortexa showed, down from more than 20 million per day before the war or about one of every five barrels consumed worldwide.

Clemson football defensive tackle Vic Burley was found by police on Aug. 22 asleep in his truck with the engine running at 2:15 a.m. and showed signs of impairment that led to his arrest, according to an incident report posted by Tigers Illustrated, Clemson's On3 website.
Burley was charged with public disorderly conduct and then suspended indefinitely by the Tigers and coach Dabo Swinney.
According to the report, a Clemson Police officer stopped at the scene when he noticed another person, identified as a male Clemson student, lying in the grass next to the truck on Calhoun Drive. The student stated he was waiting for a friend to give him a ride with his fiancée because they both had been drinking. The student said the truck was his friend's.
The police officer knocked on the windows of the car, received no response, but noticed the shoulder of a person asleep in the driver's seat. A second officer arrived, and they opened the driver's side door, where Burley was found asleep. A "strong odor" of marijuana was detected.
The report said Burley did not initially wake up when the door opened, nor when the truck was turned off. But after Burley woke up, he was unsteady on his feet as he got out of the truck, slurred his speech and "seemed disoriented." His eyes were also drooping, he struggled to remove his identification from his wallet and was slow to respond and did not directly answer questions.
