Mama June's daughter, Pumpkin, says her online career affected a major decision involving her child. The reality star claims a Georgia private school withdrew her daughter's acceptance after reviewing her social media. However, Pumpkin says the issue never came up during the earlier admissions process. She believes the school should have raised its concerns much sooner.
In a new TMZ interview, Pumpkin said she contacted John Milledge Academy about enrolling her daughter. She described the admissions staff as friendly and communicative at first.
Then, Pumpkin said she received an email asking her to meet with administrators. According to her, a school employee said her social media presence "did not align with the school's values."
As a result, Pumpkin said the private school withdrew her daughter's acceptance. She added that officials offered to refund the money she had already paid.
Still, Mama June's daughter said she was more upset about how administrators handled the process. She claimed ***** ody had previously mentioned concerns about her OnlyFans work or social media posts.

Alex Brundle believes Lewis Hamilton was fully justified in venting his frustration over team radio during the Dutch Grand Prix.
The seven-time champion narrowly missed out on a podium at Zandvoort, taking the chequered flag in fourth place behind race winner Lando Norris and the Mercedes pair of Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.
Hamilton was clearly frustrated throughout the race with various tense radio messages. While reviewing the race on F1 TV, Brundle defended Hamilton's outburst when the pitwall asked which tyre compound he wanted to change to.
"That would upset me from inside the car as well because you're looking at the team asking you which tyre you want to be put on," Brundle explained. "They've already seen a stint on the medium compound from Charles Leclerc. They're sitting there with all of the data, and effectively you've got an engineer on the pitwall hedging their bets based around what the driver is going to say.
"Of course Lewis has sat in the briefings. Lewis has felt the tyres. He's the only person sitting in the car. But I think his response there actually came amid a slightly turbulent day where he did sound slightly upset over the radio in general.

Queen Camilla's reported stance toward Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has emerged as the Sussexes prepare for an extended return to the UK. The development follows their quiet but significant reunion with King Charles and Camilla at Highgrove House, the monarch's private Gloucestershire residence, last month.
Despite being targeted in Prince Harry's memoir "Spare," Queen Camilla is said to have shown generosity during their recent meeting. The Queen Consort featured in several of the Duke's claims in the book, which was released in 2023.
In "Spare," Harry reportedly referred to Her Majesty more than 60 times, calling her "the Other Woman" and his "wicked stepmother." The remarks were reportedly deeply upsetting to King Charles. Hence, ahead of the Sussexes' return to Britain, critics have called for a firm stance to be taken against them.
Yet, according to the Daily Mail, the Queen reportedly greeted Prince Harry warmly with a smile and offered him tea during their private family gathering in Gloucestershire. The gesture of goodwill is said to have eased some of the Sussexes' concerns about returning to the UK.
However, the report suggested that a similarly warm reception may be unlikely from Prince William and Kate Middleton. The heir to the throne remains estranged from his brother following a series of accusations Harry has made against the Waleses, Charles, and Camilla since the "Megxit" crisis in 2020.

The vibes surrounding Auburn football are high ahead of the 2026 season as Alex Golesh takes over the program, which has been absent from postseason play the last two seasons.
Experts across the country believe Auburn football will return to bowl season in 2026, but two from ESPN have differing opinions on how much the Tigers will improve this season.
ESPN's Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach return to make weekly bowl projections and have released their debut forecast for the 2026 season. Both experts expect Auburn to earn a bowl bid, but neither is high on Auburn playing in a prestigious bowl game or even making the College Football Playoff.
Bonagura's first projection pits Auburn against TCU in the Kinder's Texas Bowl, which is scheduled for New Year's Eve at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Horned Frogs were a solid program in 2025, going 8-4 in the regular season and earning an overtime win over USC in the Alamo Bowl. TCU opened its campaign by upsetting North Carolina in Chapel Hill, 48-14, spoiling the home opener for NFL head coach legend Bill Belichick.
Schlabach is less optimistic in Auburn, as he projects the Tigers to stay in their home state this postseason to face Duke in the JLab Birmingham Bowl at Protective Stadium on Tuesday, Dec. 29. Duke upset the Virginia Cavaliers last season to win the ACC Championship, which kept them out of the College Football Playoff. The Blue Devils defeated Arizona State at the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl in El Paso, capping a four-game winning streak to end the season.

The days of Clemson dominating the ACC Championship appear to be over.
From 2015 to 2022, the Tigers won seven of eight ACC **** les during the peak of Dabo Swinney's dynasty at CU. But with the transfer portal upending the college football landscape and the ACC ending divisions at the start of the 2023 season, the conference **** le has opened up. The league has had a different winner each of the last three seasons, and last year's champion was its most shocking. Duke won its first ACC **** le in the conference-championship era after finishing the 2025 regular season at 7-5 and winning the five-way tiebreaker for second place.
This season should be a lot different for the ACC. For starters, the conference redid its tiebreaker policy in the event of another logjam. On the field, the conference seems to be a one-horse race. According to FanDuel, the Hurricanes are the odds-on favorite to win the ACC at -150, the highest odds to win a P4 conference (Texas Tech is -105 to win the Big 12). However, a second tier has plenty of firepower and is looking to upset Miami. Louisville and SMU, each ranked in the AP Preseason top 25, are tied for second to win the ACC at +750. Although SMU returns starting QB Kevin Jennings, both teams must replace a majority of starters from their nine-win seasons in 2025, but they should be two of the more high-powered offenses in college football this season.
Behind SMU and UL, Clemson sits at +1600 after finally utilizing the portal in the offseason. However, they are starting a quarterback with only one collegiate start under his belt, Christopher Vizzina, who backed up Cade Klubnik for the last three years.
If Miami did not win the ACC this season, it would be a shock. After going to the national championship last year, Mario Cristobal did an excellent job blending his lineup, full of returning starters and high-value transfers.

Before Royal (California) High School started the season, it was announced that Adam Brubaker would no longer continue as the school's head coach.
Brubaker was seen in a video being upset with some of his players before kicking a football on the field. The ball he kicked hit a player in the groin and he was visibly in pain.
"I kicked the ball and it hit him in the groin area and instantly I felt like I was going to pass out," Brubaker told ABC7. "I feel obviously a great deal of remorse for what happened. It's a one in a million shot."
Brubaker also told ABC7 that he apologized to the player after the practice.

Writing in an emotional essay ***** led Enough Is Enough, Melissa recalled returning to work on the hit show just months after losing her dad, Paul Gilbert.
"My father died when I was just 11 years old and I was back working on Little House within months," she wrote. "And not one single adult on that set discussed it with me or offered condolences. I later found out that the fear was I would become too upset to work."

When Jamall Emmers followed up a quick left hand with a vicious right straight up the middle Saturday, he caught Lerryan Douglas squarely on his left eye.
The perfectly placed punch went straight through Emmers' raised hands to find the mark, and Douglas immediate put his hands to the eye to cover up when he hit the canvas. Emmers landed a few more punches, and the fight was over.
Emmers (23-8 MMA, 6-4 UFC) closed out the UFC Fight Night 285 prelims at Golden1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., with a hefty upset of Douglas (14-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC), a featherweight prospect who was north of a 4-1 betting favorite in the fight.
After the fight, one of Douglas' coaches, former UFC featherweight Cub Swanson, said the Brazilian broke his orbital bone, lost sight in that eye, and will have to see a specialist this week to find out what his next steps will be.
"Lerryan Douglas had a fractured orbital and instantly lost vision in that eye," Swanson posted on social media. "He is ok and I'm glad he didn't take more damage. We'll know more after he sees a specialist this week. Thanks for all the support."

They both left the arena worse for the wear, but an extra $100,000 richer – which maybe helped them smile through the pain.
Gregory Rodrigues (20-6 MMA, 11-3 UFC) upset home headliner Anthony Hernandez (15-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 285 main event Saturday at Golden1 Center in Sacramento, Calif. Rodrigues mostly dominated Hernandez, save for the third round, and took a unanimous decision in which the stats were outsized in his favor.
Afterward, the fighters met backstage – with Hernandez tending to a shoulder with a big bag of ice, and Rodrigues already hobbling on crutches. He threw dozens of kicks in the fight.
Check out what the Fight of the Night bonus winners had to say to each other in the moments after they left the cage in the video below.

The struggling Wisconsin Badgers football program has a chance to pull off an incredible upset in Week 1.
It's no secret that Notre Dame earned a No. 4 ranking in the preseason AP Poll, but that doesn't automatically mean the Badgers can't come out victorious.
This game is being played at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI, so while it's a neutral-site matchup, there's a strong chance this sold-out crowd will heavily favor the Badgers.
Wisconsin shocked the world in 2016 when they took down No. 5 LSU, so here in 2026, they have a chance to do the same, this time against the Fighting Irish on NBC.
NBC Sports recently revealed the announcers for the Shamrock Series, a group that includes the returning Dan Hicks (play-by-play), Jason Garrett (color commentator), and a new sideline reporter, Caroline Pineda.

Manchester United are set to announce the signing of Carlos Baleba imminently after all documents were exchanged with Brighton.
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign the Cameroon midfielder from Brighton for an initial fee of £65, with a further £5m dependent on add-ons. Brighton will also retain a sell-on clause for the 22-year-old as part of the agreement.
Baleba will become Michael Carrick's third midfield signing of the summer window, following the arrivals of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans. The focus on midfield comes amid Casemiro's exit and a long-term injury to Manuel Ugarte.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that all documents have been exchanged with official confirmation expected shortly. It will represent the conclusion of a long-term pursuit for Manchester United, who saw an approach for Baleba rejected last summer.
The transfer also represents a boost for the Red Devils following their opening day loss at Hull City. Carrick's side lost 2-0 to the newly-promoted Tigers in an upset at the MKM Stadium on Saturday.

A TikTok influencer named Christy Wong responded to the internet's outrage about her dating preferences in her video **** led "Is it okay to have Racial Preferences in Dating?" Wong claimed people are missing the point of attraction and criticizing what they can't control.
First, Wong set the context and described people's reaction to her earlier statement about her dating preferences.
"People get very upset when hearing that other people have dating preferences," Wong said. "So I said that my preferences are white Americans, Chinese, and Koreans, and a lot of people are very upset with that. So let's talk about it, because I personally don't think it's worthwhile criticizing other people's dating preferences."
Then, she addressed the argument that people's preferences may be affected by the media and historical background.
"I said that my preferences come primarily from familiarity. But a lot of people say that our preferences can also be largely shaped by media and history, and it can reflect, internalize racism. And I don't disagree with that. There's no denying that that is definitely true. The media shapes what we find attractive. It shapes what I find attractive. It shapes yours. I don't think anybody is above it," she said.

A growing number of Democrats who grabbed national attention as they led the resistance to President Donald Trump during his first term in the White House are the latest casualties in this year's primary battle between the party's left-wing and the establishment.
The latest victim: Alexander Vindman, who gained national prominence nearly a decade ago as the then-Army lieutenant colonel and National Security Council official who served as a key witness against Trump during the president's first impeachment trial.
Vindman, who made resisting Trump a key part of his Senate bid, was upset Tuesday in Florida's Democratic Senate primary by state Rep. Angie Nixon. A Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member, Nixon landed a double-digit victory over Vindman despite being outspent by a roughly 10-to-1 margin.

An all-time MMA great, reigning PFL featherweight champion Cris Cyborg looks to add to her legendary résumé with what could be her swan song in the sport. For Vieira, an upset win is the only thing up for grabs after she missed weight by seven pounds on Friday, making her ineligible to claim the **** le.
Cyborg (29-2) has mostly turned her attention to the boxing world since Bellator was acquired by the PFL in late 2023, though the "grand slam" MMA champion has also successfully secured PFL **** le victories against the likes of Larissa Pacheco and Sara Collins. Much has been made about the Vieira fight being Cyborg's last in MMA, but the merger between PFL and Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions has opened the door to new opportunities for Cyborg, regardless of whether she wins or loses.
Vieira (16-5) enters her would-be PFL **** le shot in her promotional debut after parting ways with the UFC earlier this year. The longtime bantamweight contender last scored a unanimous decision victory against Jacqueline Cavalcanti in May, finishing out her UFC contract. South African authorities announced that former ***** list Zolani Tete, 38, was fatally shot outside of his home in Mdantsane today.
Per the country's Ministry of Sport, Arts, and Culture, "[t]wo armed men in balaclavas" shot Tete and a female companion as Tete waited at his gate. The companion remains hospitalized, while Tete himself passed away.
Tete lost his first ***** le bid to countryman Moruti Mthalane in 2010, kicking off a 3-3 skid, but came out the other side on an absolute tear. He felled Teiru Kinoshita in hostile territory to claim the IBF super flyweight ***** le four years later, then knocked out Paul Butler in his first and only defense before moving up to 118. There, he won the later-upgraded interim WBO belt against Arthur Villanueva and made three successful defense, one of which earned him the fastest knockout in championship history when he sparked Siboniso Gonya with his very first punch. An upset loss to John Riel Casimero lost him the belt, but after two years on the sidelines and a 55-second get-well knockout in South Africa, he put himself right into super bantamweight contention by blowing the doors off of Jason Cunningham.
That would unfortunately mark his final time in the ring. A failed drug test for stanozolol wiped that win off his record and resulted in a four-year suspension, which only expired last month.
Tete will be remembered as a terrific, hugely accomplished fighter, highly entertaining and a true standout in the lower weight classes. Our thoughts are with his friends and family after this horrific tragedy.

In Trent Dilfer's coaching return to Lipscomb Academy and TSSAA football, the Mustangs were inches short of a season opening upset.
McCallie's defense stopped Lipscomb Academy at the goal line on 4th and goal to preserve a 27-24 overtime victory on Aug. 21 in Chattanooga.
Lipscomb Academy twice appeared close to scoring on the overtime possession but were denied. On third and goal, Turner White carried inside the 1-yard line but was ruled short. Duke commit Mikel Stephens was stopped inches short on a fourth and goal carry in the game's final play.
And while the Mustangs will drive back up Interstate-24 with a 0-1 record, it was a huge effort against a Division II-AAA power in Dilfer's return after three seasons at UAB.
The Mustangs led 17-7 in the second quarter after a 78-yard touchdown catch by Jaxon Spencer via a reverse pass. But the Blue Tornado slowly chipped away at the deficit.

The San Francisco 49ers emphatically earned their first preseason win with a 41-17 (we can mention the final score this week since the 49ers won) thumping of the Los Angeles Chargers.
It was a thorough beating from the 49ers, who dominated the Chargers in all three facets of the game. A win that will likely keep Jim Harbaugh up late on Thursday night, an attitude that 49ers fans are far too familiar with. But as upset as Harbaugh will be, Kyle Shanahan will be just as excited, as there wasn't much to complain about – outside of that little left guard issue, which Austen Pleasants is apparently very involved in.
But let's focus on the positives. Three of them to be exact. Here are the three stars from Thursday's preseason win:
3rd Star – CB Jack Jones
Garret Wallow was in consideration for the honor, but Jones's performance stood out just a smidge more.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are working overtime to try and convince their mother, Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson, to cancel plans for a tell-all book, a source tells Examiner.
"Sarah keeps saying that she could tell her side of the story without upsetting anyone at the palace, but Eugenie and Beatrice are adamant that's not possible," says the source. "They know that any publisher willing to pay the sort of money their mother is after is going to want to extract plenty of juicy details."
Plus, "even if by some miracle she was able to publish something innocuous, it would still upset everyone in the [royal] family because it would put the spotlight back on a topic they're all desperately trying to move past," the source notes.
James Whatling / MEGA
Beatrice, 38, and Eugenie, 36, are even willing to dip into their own pockets to help Fergie, 66, out financially as she struggles to make ends meet, reveals the source.

A former butler revealed that King Charles might possibly invite Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and his grandchildren for Christmas after they return to the UK. However, the invitation will be under one condition. Various media outlets have recently reported that the Sussexes will be returning to Britain by the end of the month. Reports suggest the family of four will be residing in a private, non-royal home. Moreover, there is no change in their status as non-working royals.
The Royal Family's former butler addressed whether King Charles will invite Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, for Christmas following their UK return. Grant Harrold, who worked as a royal butler at Highgrove House, shared that they can possibly receive a Christmas invitation, but under a special condition.
Harrold said, "If it all goes nicely and there are no upsets, I think the King will invite them for Christmas. I don't think it's out of the question. But they need to behave. They will have to come quietly and do their own thing. Public opinion will have to believe they are here for the right reasons" (via CasinoHawks).
As per a report by PEOPLE, the Sussexes have already enrolled their children, Archie and Lilibet, in a British school, and they will begin their term in September. Harry and Meghan will not stay at the royal palace and will instead inhabit a non-royal, private home. The couple will reportedly retain their Montecito and Portugal homes. The location of the family's new home and the children's school is being kept strictly confidential.
King Charles was "made aware" of Harry and Meghan's plans on August 16. The 77-year-old monarch has reportedly welcomed the idea of meeting his younger son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren more often.

Meghan Markle reportedly felt "attacked" over one Princess Diana comparison while Kate Middleton avoided the same heat. The ******* ss of Sussex faced online backlash after sharing a birthday pool photo that critics compared to Diana's yacht image. A source claimed Meghan viewed the reaction as unfair because Kate also draws inspiration from Diana. The reported tension centered on fashion, public image, and who gets praised for royal homage.
As per a HeatWorld report, a source claimed Kate Middleton stayed silent after Meghan Markle's birthday photo backlash. The insider said Kate "won't have missed the skewering Meghan got." The source added that many people called it "an obvious attempt to copy Diana." However, Kate reportedly kept "totally out of the fray." The insider said she refused to upset Prince William by joining a "fashion war."
Meanwhile, the source said Kate clearly valued Diana's style legacy. The insider claimed there was "no doubt" Kate took inspiration from Diana's "timeless fashion choices." The Princess of Wales was also given some of Diana's jewelry by William. The source said Kate "treasures" those pieces. Still, the insider added that Kate would never want to feed a "catty narrative" about Princess Diana.
However, the same report claimed Markle viewed the different reactions as unfair. The source said Meghan would argue she was "only doing the same thing." Instead of being praised like Middleton, she was "attacked," the insider claimed. For context, Meghan shared black-and-white birthday photos. The images showed her jumping into a circular pool with balloons.
Soon after, the pictures sparked Princess Diana comparisons online. A recent report said one X account shared a side-by-side with Diana's 1997 Saint-Tropez vacation photo. Some users claimed Meghan was "cosplaying," while another wrote, "She always recreates her images." The HeatWorld insider pushed back, saying Meghan had shared "a fun photo" from her birthday. The source added she was "torn apart" because Diana was once photographed jumping from a yacht. For Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, the source framed the dispute as a double-standard debate.

After Viera upset top-seeded Melbourne in the district semifinals last year, the two squads met in the second game of the season on Aug. 20.
The Hawks used big runs in the middle portion of all three sets to pull away from Melbourne for a 25-15, 25-19, 25-17 sweep.
"I'm really excited about we played. We had a big talk at practice about controlling our side of the court and eliminating our errors from the first game," Viera head coach Sarah Wayne said. "It's probably first-game jitters, so we did a really good job of earning a lot of our points. I thought our defensive play was really well, but then we executed offensively really well with our outsides. Both of our middles had 0 errors. They did a great job."
It was a balanced and potent Viera attack as 10 players scored points. The Hawks ended the night with 28 kills, 10 aces and 7 blocks that led to points.
"Our setters are comfortable setting any one of our three hitters across the net," Wayne said. "That makes the other start to have to guess. That opens a lot of holes for our hitters."

Jim West thinks UFC champion Sean Strickland presents a challenge that ***** ody else does at middleweight.
Anthony Hernandez (15-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) saw his eight-fight winning streak snapped by Strickland (31-7 MMA, 18-7 UFC) in February. Strickland went onto upset Khamzat Chimaev to claim the middleweight ***** le at UFC 328.
Hernandez's coach West says they approached Strickland's unique style incorrectly.
"Like in Anthony's case, obviously he had an eight-fight win streak, which is the longest in UFC middleweight history, and then he had a mishap," West told MMA Junkie Radio. "OK, well, you fought a unicorn. Sean Strickland is a unicorn, right? When you look at all the middleweights, he's the only one that's going to present that thing that he does, right? There's no one else like Sean Strickland, so you have to throw that aside.
"It's almost kind of an outlier. There's things that I think went into that fight where he might have been in his own head a little bit that we talked about with certain things as far as the approach, and we just got caught against the now-current UFC champ. He's one-of-a-kind. We got caught, we made some mistakes, we didn't approach the fight the way we were supposed to, and we lost. You have to move on."

Los Angeles Dodgers locker room leader Miguel Rojas detailed the work he has done to get struggling star Kyle Tucker out of his slump.
Tucker, by all accounts, is a shy guy who tends to operate as an introvert. Manager Dave Roberts has noted that Tucker doesn't show much emotion in the clubhouse.
His reputation as a guy who is always collected makes it stand out all the more when he is visibly upset after an at-bat.
That is why, when he was frustrated after a recent at-bat during the Dodgers' homestand, Roberts elected to sit Tucker and have him ingest a game from the sidelines.

This week had absolutely everything you could hope for: an upset that sent an NSL side home from the Canadian Championship, seven goals in Calgary, a stoppage-time winner in Vancouver and a Montréal side that walked away from Toronto with another clean sheet.
With the regular season moving deeper into August, every result is starting to tilt the playoff scales. Here's how the latest run of action unfolded.
Wednesday, Aug. 12 | Stade Boréale, Laval, Quebec | Canadian Championship quarterfinal
Simcoe County Rovers FC did not look like an underdog when the whistle blew. They bloomed into a team that had decided the occasion belonged to them.
Just three minutes into the match, Teagan Handley swung a corner into the box and Tia Schaffer rose above the crowd to bury a header. The early goal gave Simcoe something valuable against an experienced Montréal side: confidence.

After a promising start to the partnership, the A.J. Brown era with the Philadelphia Eagles ended with a faceplant. Following a rocky offensive performance — one that features a handful of sideline outbursts by Brown — the wideout was shipped off to the New England Patriots for two draft picks.
But if Brown has any bad blood with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, he's not showing it. Following a joint practice between the Eagles and Patriots on Thursday, Brown embraced Hurts before engaging in a friendly conversation with his former quarterback.
It was a notable development, especially after Brown told reporters Wednesday that he had not spoken to Hurts since the trade. Brown did add it's "love my way," when discussing Hurts. The quarterback echoed that sentiment, saying, "I've got a lot of love for him and always have" after Wednesday's joint practice.
The two were extremely close with the Eagles, with Hurts eventually becoming the godfather to Brown's daughter, per ESPN.
But it was tough to know where their relationship sat following Brown's trade. During the 2025 season, Brown engaged in a few sideline outbursts of frustration when the Eagles' offense didn't perform up to expectations. During those moments, it was difficult to know whether Brown was upset with coaches, the offense's general performance or his quarterback.

Two fourth-quarter goals from Spanish forward Marc Reyne were enough to end Ireland's hopes of a top-eight finish at the World Cup as Mark Tumilty's side fell to a 3-1 defeat.
Needing a draw to make it through to the upper end of the crossover phase of the tournament, Ireland were more than holding their own against the world-ranked six side after 45 minutes.
After Spain had taken the lead through Nicolas Alvarez, the Irish dominated the second quarter and deservedly equalised when Lee Cole converted a penalty stroke.
Defensively solid, Ireland were 15 minutes away from pulling off the first major upset of the World Cup.
However, Reyne had other ideas, pouncing on a corner rebound and then producing a superb finish on the reverse stick to give the Spanish a 3-1 win.

The DFB Pokal returns this weekend with teams ranging from the Bundesliga all the way down to Germany's fifth tier. Many talk about the magic of the cup, but which games should you watch out for when it comes to an early cup upset?
Given that Stuttgart have reached the final in the past two editions of the DFB Pokal, losing in the first round would indeed be a shock, particularly against a side in the 3. Liga.
However, going to Rostock is a tough ***** ignment regardless of the level you're used to playing at. Situated on the German North coast, Rostock are known for creating an intimidating atmosphere and often fill all 29,000 seats in the Ostseestadion.
Rostock are already two games into their season, having beaten Hoffenheim II 2-3 and drawn with Mannheim 3-3. Rostock are tipped to fight for promotion and will only relish the opportunity to beat a Bundesliga side in the cup for extra morale.
Player to Watch: Bernie Lennemann – The right winger has already scored twice this season and looks to be a good creative outlet for Rostock this season.

The season opener is a much different battle than most games, and for Notre Dame that won't be any different in 2026.
The Irish will open their slate on the road at historic Lambeau Field facing the Wisconsin Badgers, a contest that will be huge for both teams. Notre Dame wants to start its season off on the right foot, and for Badger head coach Luke Fickell, a win over a top-5 team will quell the chatter of him being on the hot season.
However, this game could be shaping up to be a huge Irish win, as a report from Wisconsin's fall camp from Kate Fox mentioned on social media "at least five turnovers" for the offense this week. It's a tough task to face Notre Dame's defense, and it will be even harder if the Badgers are giving the ball away.
The Irish had the No. 4 ranked turnover margin last fall, with over a takeaway-per-game, while the Badgers had one of the worst, at No. 123 nationally giving the ball away almost once a contest according to NCAA.com. There's a significant talent gap between the two, and it's very troubling for Wisconsin if this is happening in the fall.
Local media has high hopes for a Badger upset, but this report should put some, or a lot, of doubt into those thoughts. Notre Dame and Wisconsin open up their season on Sunday, Sept. 6th in primetime.

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed star second baseman Ketel Marte on the restricted list in June 2025 after his Phoenix-area home was burglarized during last year's All-Star break.
"We all know what he's dealing with," Dbacks manager Torey Lovullo said at the time. "It's been unfortunate. I think he retreats a little bit when he gets upset, and I respect that ***** e, and I'm going to give him that ***** e."
With the Diamondbacks in Boston this week to play the Red Sox, Marte didn't just retreat a little bit. He retreated a lot.

Marte never came to Fenway Park for the series opener on Monday, Aug. 17. The Diamondbacks placed Marte on the restricted list again — only minutes before the game's scheduled first pitch — which means he will not get paid until he's activated, under MLB rules.
