Still, both ranges imply that a rapid return to the prior year's scale is unlikely.
Those figures complicate, rather than erase, DA Davidson ***** yst Lucky Schreiner's bearish case. In a September 1 note, Schreiner reiterated an Underperform rating and a $7 target, while seeing possible professional-services upside and stabilization in subscription trends. Revenue landed near the middle of guidance, and subscription revenue represented a larger share of the mix. However, stabilization at a much lower level is not the same as renewed expansion.
The bearish evidence remains substantial. GAAP gross margin was only 32%, and the company posted a $92.8 million GAAP net loss, or $0.60 per share. C3.ai, Inc. (NYSE:AI) still competes against cloud providers, data platforms, and customers building applications internally. Better bookings and cash flow must translate into durable subscription growth and improving margins before the results demonstrate an economic turnaround.
Hedge funds showed cautious improvement rather than conviction. Insider Monkey counted 29 hedge funds holding the shares in Q2, up from 25 in Q1. Point72 ***** et Management increased its position 154% to 568,406 shares. That is notable, but 13F filings reveal positions rather than investment rationales.

Michael Atherton has questioned the authority of Babar Azam and the role Pakistan's captains are allowed to play after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made sweeping changes to the Test squad midway through the England series.

Pakistan suffered defeats in the opening two Tests and responded by sending seven players home. Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha and Imam-ul-Haq were among those removed from the squad, while coaches Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul were also asked to leave.

Mike Hesson will now take charge of the team for the third and final Test at Edgbaston, beginning on September 9.

The scale of the changes has placed Babar under increasing scrutiny. Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif had already argued that Babar should have resigned after the seven players were sent home, while also branding him a "dummy captain".

Atherton has now questioned whether Babar, or indeed any Pakistan captain, has enough influence within the setup to lead effectively following such a major intervention from the board.

The former England captain believes the changes could have lasting consequences for Pakistan, regardless of what happens in the final Test.

"Not in this instance, no, because of the damage it will do in the long term. This is no way to manage players and no way to build a long-term vision at all," Atherton said on the Sky Sports Cricket Podcast.

"I feel it's a horrible position for a captain, Babar Azam, to be in - and what kind of authority does he or indeed any captain of Pakistan have in this outfit?" he added.
Atherton suggested that the events of the England tour could make it extremely difficult for Babar to establish authority over the Pakistan dressing room.

He acknowledged that modern-day captains do not have the same control they once enjoyed, but insisted that a captain still needs to have a meaningful say in the team's affairs.

"One understands that the captain is not all-powerful these days, you're not going back 30 years ago when they perhaps ran the show, but they have to have some authority within a team," said Atherton.

The former England captain then raised a question over how Babar can move forward after the PCB's intervention.

"Given what's happened, how do you lead that team now?" he added.
Babar reclaimed Pakistan's Test captaincy from Shan Masood earlier this year after Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in their two-match series.

His side subsequently drew the series against the West Indies before travelling to England.

The 31-year-old missed the first Test against England because of an injury, but returned for the second match at Lord's.

His comeback, however, did little to ease Pakistan's batting problems. Babar scored only 8 and 6 as Pakistan suffered another heavy defeat.

England won the Lord's Test by 194 runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

With both the NFL and college football seasons about to begin in earnest, it's a great time to check in with the top prospects headed into the 2027 NFL Draft.
This is my first crack at this year's big board, ranked 1-30, including two receivers slotted ahead of the quarterback with a very famous last name.
Smith might not be the first pick, but he could be one of the best non-QB prospects to enter the draft in a few years. With ideal height-weight-speed benchmarks and outstanding feel for the game, Smith is as polished and gifted a receiver as you'll see come out of the college game. It has been a minute since a receiver was this well-regarded prior to turning 21 years old (which Smith does in November). He reminds me of Andre Johnson coming out of Miami. The sky is the limit.
Moore is nearly an elite athlete with great production to match. In 26 college games, he's recorded seven interceptions (one run back for a TD) and 18 passes defended. There are very few lockdown man-to-man corners in college, but the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Moore is one of them. The Irish are willing to glue Moore to opponents' best receivers and let him go to work. He's a willing tackler, but Moore could take another step by improving his consistency there and getting a bit stronger. Other than that, there's little not to like or even love about his game.
This might appear a tad ambitious of a ranking after a semi-frustrating season at Auburn, but most of Coleman's issues were QB-related there. That shouldn't be an issue in Austin. Lining up opposite Ryan Wingo, with Arch Manning throwing Coleman passes, appears to be a dream setup. He's authored some jaw-dropping catches in summer practices and could be in line for a monster season, ******* uming he can refine his route-running and cut down on the concentration drops. At 6-3 and 205 pounds, Coleman has a built-in-a-lab frame. He's an aerial acrobat and looks like a future top-10 pick, with just a shade more consistency.

On the two-month anniversary of Juventus Women hiring Isaac Guerrero as their new head coach, the Spanish tactician got his new-look squad past the final hurdle necessary to see them qualify for the Women's Champions League league phase once again.
For some, that was going to be quite the task with so much turnover this summer and Guerrero having little time to get to work with his new team before the qualification process got underway last month.
But in front of the hometown crowd — and some very notable front office member from both the men's and women's sporting area — in Biella on Wednesday night, Guerrero's Bianconere got the result they needed, a 1-1 draw, against Austrian side St. Pölten to qualify for the UWCL league phase. Portuguese midfielder Tatiana Pinto scored Juventus Women's lone goal of the night five minutes before halftime, but it was the 3-0 victory last week in Austria that allowed the Bianconere to see out the game and claim the 4-1 advantage on aggregate in the final round of the qualification path.
And with it came a ticket into the 16-team league phase — which is in effect for a second season after they made the switch to replicate the men's setup at the beginning of last season's competition.
Juve got through the four-team mini tournament last month. They then got a much less complicated draw against St. Pölten as compared to two years ago when they had to go through a Paris Saint-Germain side that was one of the last teams standing the season prior to make the group stage.

Barcelona have completed the signing of German defender Mikael Baza from Hamburg SV, adding another highly rated teenager to their youth setup.
