Former Los Angeles Clippers center Daniel Theis has emerged as another NBA figure connected to Rhode Island FC amid Pablo Torre's ongoing investigation into Kawhi Leonard's business relationships. On the latest episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out, Torre highlighted that Rhode Island FC publicly welcomed Theis into its ownership group in March 2023. The connection attracted attention because, according to Torre's reporting, Leonard, his uncle and business adviser Dennis Robertson, and Leonard's former agent Mitch Frankel also acquired ownership interests in the soccer club – but their involvement was never publicly promoted by RIFC. There is no evidence presented in the podcast that Theis committed any wrongdoing or that his investment was connected to the LA Clippers.

As the Kawhi Leonard scandal continues to worsen, the LA Clippers are remaining firm in their stance.
The Clippers and Leonard came under scrutiny last season when investigative reporter Pablo Torre unearthed documents about Aspiration, a company he alleges the team used to pay the superstar beyond the salary cap under the table.
And with Leonard's trade to the Raptors being paused amid an investigation from the NBA, and Torre's newest report, the Clippers have issued a response.

INDIANAPOLIS — Five-time Brickyard 400 winner Jeff Gordon has returned to one of the most important places in his racing life — this time as the centerpiece of history.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum has opened "Jeff Gordon," its newest rotating exhibition, marking the first time the museum has dedicated an entire exhibit to a single NASCAR driver. The exhibit traces Gordon's journey from quarter midgets and sprint cars to becoming a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and the winningest driver in Brickyard 400 history.
"It's more than a dream come true," Gordon said. "You just hope as a young kid who becomes a race car driver that you get to do it professionally, that you can have success doing it professionally, and do it as long as possible and stay healthy doing it. I got to do that and a whole lot more."
Open through February, the exhibit features 13 race cars spanning every stage of Gordon's career, more than 70 helmets and never-before-displayed artifacts, including his first bicycle racing trophy, the first Jeff Gordon T-shirt, the firesuit from his first sprint car victory and the Williams Formula One steering wheel he used during his 2003 seat swap with Juan Pablo Montoya at IMS.
"I look at this room and walk through the timeline, and that's what comes back is just all the dreams and the hard work and everything paying off," Gordon said.

Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) said Wednesday that Congress has a "culture of creepiness" when it came to members approaching and soliciting staffers.
Cammack told MeidasTouch's Pablo Manríquez that she "wouldn't feel comfortable sending" her "daughter to work here" in the current congressional environment.
Her comments came after Rep. Jeff Crank (R-Colo.) unveiled a resolution that would mandate lawmakers to confidentially disclose relationships with staffers in other offices or committees to the House Ethics Committee.
"I think we would be better off if members were more focused on their work than enhancing their love life," Cammack said.
She commended the resolution in addressing the power dynamics of these situations.

Argentina's top football officials on Wednesday firmly denied reports that their federation's president and treasurer were detained and questioned upon leaving the United States after the World Cup final.
The Argentine Football ***** ociation (AFA) did, however, acknowledge a US investigation into a third party with links to the ***** ociation.
The organization issued a statement following media reports that its president Claudio Tapia and treasurer Pablo Toviggino had been detained at New York's John F. Kennedy airport before boarding the flight transporting the national squad home after their loss to Spain Sunday.
The pair were reportedly detained for questioning and had their electronic devices seized by US authorities, before being summoned to appear in court regarding AFA's international contracts.
But an AFA statement denied all of the reported claims as "absolutely false."

Atlético de Madrid and Sporting Clube de Portugal have struck an agreement over the Lisbon side's captain Morten Hjulmand, according to reports in Spain and Portugal.
Rubén Uría was the first to report that Denmark international Hjulmand will arrive in a €40 million transfer, with Sporting able to secure another €5 million based on the amount of games Hjulmand plays, in addition to how far Atleti progress in the UEFA Champions League. The player last week signed off on a five-year contract to 2031, and he arrived in Madrid on Thursday to undergo a medical; his signing should be announced before Atleti's preseason training camp begins on Monday.
Hjulmand will take a big leap in his career following spells in Austria (with Admira Wacker) and Italy (Lecce) as well as Portugal, where he won two league ******* les with Sporting and helped the Leões reach the Champions League quarterfinals in 2025/26. The 27-year-old scored three goals and provided four ******* ists across 27 appearances in the Primeira Liga last season.
Hjulmand is regarded as a superb positional midfielder, a pivot with good ball progression and a strong stride that helps him cover ground and recover the ball at a high rate. His traits complement both Pablo Barrios and Johnny Cardoso, and he should offer Diego Simeone a genuine alternative to his long-serving captain Koke, who last week renewed his contract for one more season. Hjulmand has suffered only a few injuries in his career
Hjulmand will need to adjust to the faster pace of LaLiga relative to the Primeira Liga, and his proclivity for picking up yellow cards could limit his effectiveness. He was booked 40 times in 114 league appearances for Sporting (though he received just one red card) and ended last season with 14 yellows across 37 appearances in the league and the Champions League. Hjulmand will have to be more careful in Spain, knowing how referees here love to make the game about themselves.

Interest in FC Lorient's Pablo Pagis (23) is continuing to grow, as RC Strasbourg Alsace join the race to sign the playmaker, as per a report fromOuest-France.
Pagis, who came through the academy at Lorient, is coming off the back of a breakthrough season in which he scored 10 goals in 28 appearances in Ligue 1. The Frenchman has announced a desire to leave Les Merlus, however, the Breton club won't simply be giving him away, even if he has just one year remaining on his deal.
A price tag of €10m was initially floated, but that was denied by president Loic Féry, who said that it would take €20m to lure Pagis away from the Moustoir. Given the level of interest, that may be an attainable fee for FCL.
Paris FC are in for Pagis, as are RC Lens, Olympique Lyonnais, and BlueCo-owned Strasbourg. An unnamed English side and an unnamed German side are also contenders for his signature.

Donald Trump said on Monday that he personally asked Fifa president Gianni Infantino to review the red card shown to United States striker Folarin Balogun, saying he believed the dismissal was unfair but insisting he did not pressure football’s governing body to overturn the suspension.
“All I did was ask for a review because I didn’t think it was a foul,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
“I didn’t tell him what to do. I can’t tell him what to do.”
Trump’s remarks were his first public acknowledgment that he had personally intervened after Balogun was sent off in the United States’ 2-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last 32. Fifa had lifted the striker’s automatic one-match suspension on Sunday despite officials previously saying the sanction could not be appealed under the governing body’s disciplinary code.

Real Madrid have already announced the exit of Dani Ceballos this summer, after another year spent mostly warming the bench. There was always a chance that Los Blancos would be seeing him again in La Liga, but he may well be staying much closer to home than expected.
Ceballos, 29, and Real Madrid reached an agreement last month to terminate his contract with a year remaining on it. That allows him to leave the club as a free agent, and seek a new club. He was heavily linked with Ajax, but it appears that negotiation is still yet to come to fruition. His boyhood club, Real Betis, have been perennially linked with Ceballos, but that has been the case for the last three seasons.
According to TeleMadrid and MD, Atletico Madrid are one of the sides that have shown a surpise interest in him. There were some links between Ceballos and Atletico during this season, but they seemed to dissipate relatively quickly. It remains to be seen whether he would be open to the move.
Certainly Atletico have been short of midfielders comfortable on the ball in tight ***** es, and capable of improving the team’s build-up. It was for that reason that captain Koke Resurreccion saw so much action this season, becoming one of Diego Simeone’s most used players again, albeit injuries to Johnny Cardoso and Pablo Barrios also forced his hand.
Out of the names mentioned, Ceballos probably has the most similarities with Koke in terms of his ability on the ball. Whether Ceballos is willing to do the defensive work Simeone demands of his players is another matter. Although a bargain on a free, it would be something of a surprise to see Ceballos at Atletico.

According to SPORT, Barcelona are keeping a close watch on Pablo Torre’s future following Mallorca’s relegation from La Liga, with the Catalan club still retaining significant control over the midfielder’s long-term future.
Although Mallorca were unable to avoid the drop, Torre finished the season in impressive form, establishing himself as one of the team’s standout performers during the final months of the campaign.
The 23-year-old Torre enjoyed his most consistent spell since joining Mallorca, making 12 consecutive starts during the closing stages of the season.
Operating primarily as an attacking midfielder, Torre became a key creative outlet, particularly from set pieces. He ended the 2025/26 campaign with a tally of four goals and five ****** ists from 38 games in all competitions.

Former ESPN president John Skipper admits it “stings” to have to flip on Fox to watch the World Cup.
Skipper’s frustrations are justified on a personal level. The ex-ESPN president ushered the Worldwide Leader through coverage of three World Cups in 2006, 2010, and 2014, only to, in his estimation, lose the broadcast rights for subsequent tournaments due to a corrupt bidding process spearheaded by FIFA. Skipper would testify to that end in federal court, but the damage was already done. Fox kept broadcast rights for the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, and was subsequently granted rights for the 2026 edition via a no-bid contract after FIFA was forced to move the 2022 tournament in Qatar out of its traditional summer window and into November and December to avoid the desert heat.
But it’s not just the World Cup departing ESPN for Fox that has Skipper upset. It’s that he believes the quality of coverage on ESPN was superior to what Fox is currently putting out.
“Does it bother me that I put on the television and I have to watch Fox in order to see the World Cup? Yeah, **** yeah, it bothers me,” Skipper said on a recent episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out. “Somebody asked me how they were doing in production, and I finally found the right answer. It’s the second-greatest production of the World Cup ever. So they’re doing okay. But it’s not the greatest production of the World Cup ever.
“I take pride in the fact that we at ESPN were right about this, that George [Bodenheimer] supported me, we went out and did it. We built the World Cup in ’06, ’10, and ’14. We celebrated the event, we spent a boatload of money doing stories. …Wright Thompson went into the favelas to do reports, in South Africa Sal Masekela took us inside Soweto, we had Hugh Masekela do the music. We did stories, we did documentaries, we had shoulder programming. We had studio shows that lasted overnight. I watched Netherlands-Morocco the other night, what a game, and it’s over. They go to like nine hours of commercials, and I think James Corden is coming on for some reason. …I wanted to watch five hours of commentary, to listen to people break the game down.”

While much of the attention in Andoni Iraola's first month at Liverpool has focused on potential signings, with last season's unbalanced squad and the departures of multiple club legends leaving plenty of work to do on the player recruitment front, there's also been plenty of work going on behind the scenes to fill out the new head coach's backroom staff.
Today, it appears the work has been completed. With the calendar ticking over to July bringing us into a new season from a contracts and finances point of view, reliable reports have the club having completed the signings of coaches Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper—both rumoured to be following Iraola from Bournemouth in recent weeks—as well as Pablo de la Torre and Tom Webber
Elphick and Cooper served as Iraola's top ******* istants at Bournemouth while De la Torre was that club's head of fitness and Webber their senior first team ******* yst. Earlier in the summer Elphick was linked with Bristol City in the Championship, with the 38-year-old even offered the chance to take over as their next manager but in the end deciding to reject them.
In the aftermath of that, talk of him following Iraola to Liverpool heated up, and in recent weeks it had been something of an open secret that he and Cooper would end up on Liverpool's books when their Bournemouth contracts officially expired on June 30th.

Several players from Girona B have ended their **** ociation with the Club and will not continue to be part of the reserve team next season.

Laying the groundwork for a free trade agreement that would remake his nation's economy, Mexican president Carlos Salinas de Gortari loaned crates of art to the United States in the autumn of 1990. Bolstered by a $10 million advertising campaign, the works were destined to be shown in a series of one hundred and fifty exhibitions and events intended to counter Americans' derisive views of Mexico. Illustrating many of the ads was a self-portrait of Frida Kahlo.

The selection of Kahlo's mestiza visage as the face of Salinas's neoliberal propaganda was as prescient as it was improbable. Within a decade, Frida would become one of Mexico's leading exports. Championed by celebrities including Madonna – who deemed Kahlo her "soul mate" – the artist grew into a global brand in the years that Salinas privatized the Mexican economy and NAFTA lifted his country to the pinnacle of globalization. Mattel brought a Frida Kahlo Barbie doll to market. Frida's name and likeness, known only to an elite in her lifetime, have been licensed for products ranging from sneakers to cosmetics. For those manufacturers, and for the neoliberals who appropriated Kahlo to sell free trade with Mexico, her life of political radicalism is left unmentioned. (Mattel never considered making a doll of her lover Leon Trotsky.)
The peculiarities of "Fridamania" provide the leitmotif of Frida: The Making of an Icon, a sprawling exhibition organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, now on view at Tate Modern. The MFAH curator Mari Carmen Ramírez suggests an underlying cause for Kahlo's many conflicting representations in the opening paragraphs of her astute catalogue essay. Kahlo's iconicity "is not limited to a single image but is plural, resulting from the seemingly infinite number of competing icons that today comprise and perpetuate her myth," Ramírez writes, making the case that the myth entails much more than even the legends of Vincent van Gogh and Pablo Picasso. "The Frida phenomenon is unlike anything else in past or recent history. It is not limited to Kahlo's art-making but extends to all aspects of her social image, innermost character, as well as her attire."
As a "polyvalent" icon with a lifelong habit of narcissistic theatricality, Kahlo has been put in the service of causes ranging from Chicano identity to Mexican dignity, from socialism to feminism, from queerness to disability. All of these have a basis in her life, which also included the role of devoted wife and muse to the muralist Diego Rivera, and the part of avant-garde painter creatively mixing Mexican folk art with Surrealism. Each of these dimensions of her character has attracted different constituencies to the cult of Frida. And many aspects of her identity have come into fashion recently, decades after her premature death in 1954.

Brazil’s U-17 Futsal National Team won the Nations League **** le, played in Córdoba, Spain. The tournament, held between June 25 and 28, was part of the team’s preparation for the CONMEBOL U-17 South American Championship, scheduled for August in Paraguay.
In their opener, the Seleção beat Spain 4-2, with goals from Pablo, Isaac, Cauã Farias, and Victor Kauê. In the second round, Brazil thrashed Indonesia 9-0, with Pietro scoring three times, while Arthur Furtado, Victor Kauê, João Fronza, Isaac, Jhon, and Kauã Paiva also found the net. The home of former fashion model turned war photographer Lee Miller is to be given over to charity as part of new plans for the house and her works.
Farleys House and Gallery in Chiddingly near Lewes, Sussex, became the home of Miller and her husband Roland Penrose in 1949 following World War Two, and later became a hub for artists including Pablo PIcasso and Juan Miró.
Now, the family home is to operate under the banner of the Farleys House and Gallery Trust, which the trust hopes will help to preserve it for future generations.
Antony Penrose, Miller and Penrose's son and founder of the gallery, said: "To see this incredible creativity was just an amazing thing to find."
He added: "She [Miller] had stood in the gateway of Dachau and seen 30,000 people all dying of starvation. To come here and grow masses of food that she could share with people was so important for her."

The betting market for the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft has seen plenty of wild swings. One notable occurrence was in 2022, when Pablo Banchero moved from 16-1 to -200 the morning of the draft.

Drew McIntyre is not expected back in WWE anytime soon, and a new Hollywood commitment helps explain why. PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that there is nothing on the table creatively for McIntyre in WWE at this time, and that online reports suggesting he was set for a return heading into SummerSlam were inaccurate. At the same time, Deadline has confirmed that McIntyre has joined the cast of The Last Druid, a historical action drama starring Russell Crowe that is currently filming in Spain.
The two developments together paint a clear picture of where McIntyre's focus is right now. Since returning from filming the Highlander reboot in Scotland, he has been circling several Hollywood projects, and The Last Druid represents the latest concrete result of that activity. His most recent WWE appearance came at WrestleMania 42, where he lost to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match before stepping away from television entirely.
The Last Druid sees Crowe return to the world of ancient warfare, set a quarter century after Gladiator. The story follows a Roman Emperor who discovers a secluded Druid stronghold in the mountains of Caledonia, forcing a peaceful Celtic elder — played by Crowe — to take up arms to protect his family and people from annihilation. McIntyre's specific role has not been announced. The film's cast also includes Stacy Clausen, star of the Sundance breakout Leviticus, Spanish veteran Pablo Derqui, Crowe's son Tennyson Crowe in his second acting role, Rose Leslie, Andreas Pietschmann, and Daniel Zovatto. William Eubank is directing from a script he co-wrote with Phil Gawthorne and Carlyle Eubank.
The project marks McIntyre's second collaboration with Crowe, following their work together on Amazon MGM's Highlander reboot. In that film, directed by Chad Stahelski, McIntyre plays Angus MacLeod, the brother of Henry Cavill's Connor MacLeod. That project also reunited him with his The Killer's Game co-star Dave Bautista. The Last Druid now extends his relationship with Crowe into a second production.

Argentina's plans to join the pact follow its backing for other trade deals in recent months, including a reciprocal trade and investment ‌agreement with the United States and the Mercosur-European Union agreement.
"We will continue to ‌make rapid progress on these agreements," Quirno said during a virtual address to the 43rd Congress of the ‌Argentine Institute of Finance Executives.
