Kris Meeke dominated Rali Ceredigion in Wales to win on his first European Rally Championship appearance in 18 years.
The 47-year-old and co-driver Noel O'Sullivan won by 38.6 seconds ahead of Finland's Teemu Suninen, who won the ******* le with a round to spare.
"What a weekend, a big thanks to everyone who got me here," Toyota driver Meeke said after the rally.

In each of the past two seasons, Kayshon Boutte ranked second in receiving yards among Patriots wideouts and first or tied for first in receiving touchdowns. His reward? A trade to Houston.
The Patriots traded for A.J. Brown in the offseason, signed free agent Romeo Doubs and brought back DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams and Mack Hollins. That left Boutte as the odd receiver out, and Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said in explaining the trade that Boutte "probably would have been inactive" on game days if he had remained in New England.
Boutte responded Thursday.
"They did pay two guys to come in and do that job," Boutte said, via Timothy Rapp of the Bleacher Report. "Sadly, it is the way it is. Being that it's a contract year for me, I [sought] a bigger role. I feel like what Vrabes said in his media interview, it wasn't nothing bad. I wouldn't say I'll use that as fuel. . . . It was an honest opinion. He sat there, talked, [spoke] his truth, and [we'll] pretty much move forward from it."
The Texans needed a receiver after losing Jayden Higgins to a season-ending torn ACL last month. Boutte, who has 76 receptions for 1,140 yards and nine touchdowns over the past two seasons, joins Nico Collins, Xavier Hutchinson, Jaylin Noel and Jared Wayne in the wide receivers room.

If you want the most terminally online deep sleeper, Ferguson is your guy. The 2025 second-round pick played in the most absurd role in tight end history last year under coach Sean McVay. Ferguson largely played a vertical receiving role in 2- and 3-TE sets as a downfield receiver in disguise. His average depth of target was 17.9 yards downfield. Only Tyquan Thornton, Alec Pierce and Kyle Williams were targeted more downfield!!! That will boggle the mind. Fast-forward to this year, the Rams need better talent at "WR," and Ferguson could be the answer based on what he provided last season. Davante Adams was dangled in trade discussions open to the public after a down season beyond the goal line, and trading for Tutu Atwell on Aug. 27 is never a great sign for the rest of the room. There's a chance (25%) that Ferguson is viewed as the team's WR3 this season. The loss of a true breakout receiver in Jayden Higgins will have significant ramifications on the Texans' passing attack. Nico Collins is an elite top target, with Jaylin Noel and Kayshon Boutte as quality contributors. However, fantasy managers shouldn't sleep on Dalton Schultz. The veteran tight end seems like a boring pick, but he's quietly coming off a strong fantasy campaign where he averaged the 11th-most points at his position over the final 13 weeks. That included finishing tied for third in receptions among tight ends (82) and sixth in receiving yards (777). With Higgins sidelined for the season, Schultz now has a chance to be C.J. Stroud's No. 2 target once again. You're not going to impress your leaguemates by taking the 30-year-old Texans tight end. But if you somehow miss out on the top-13 options at the position, Schultz is in the next group of high-end TE2s who could easily end the year as a fantasy TE1. — Justin Boone

Belgian comedian Noel Godin, who made a name throwing custard pies at celebrities from French film legend Jean-Luc Godard to tech ******* an Bill Gates, has died at the age of 80, his partner told AFP Monday.
Nicknamed "the Glooper" for his cries of "Gloop! Gloop!" after each strike, Godin spent more than three decades lobbing pies at rich and famous targets he felt needed bringing down a notch.
He died on Sunday morning, his partner Sylvie Broodthaers told AFP.
Describing himself as an "anarcho-confectioner," Godin began his campaign with a pie in the face of author Marguerite Duras in 1969.
His high-profile targets went on to include the future French president Nicolas Sarkozy in 1997 -- although in that case he had an accomplice lob the actual pie for fear of being recognised.

Miss USA will celebrate its 75th Diamond Anniversary on Thursday, Aug. 27.

Contestants touched down in Miami in the week leading up to the pageant, representing all 50 states and Washington, D.C., as they prepared to vie for this year's ******* le.

This year's pageant theme is "75 Years of Icons," which the Miss USA website says is meant to represent the organization's legacy as one of the most "recognized and enduring platforms for women in the world. It is a cultural institution woven into the fabric of American entertainment, fashion and media."

"For 75 years, the organization has showcased dynamic, accomplished women who reflect the confidence, diversity and ambition of modern America," the website reads.

This year, over 40 legacy ******* leholders from around the U.S. are set to take part in the activities leading up to the historic reunion. In addition, the 44th iteration of the Miss Teen USA pageant will also take place throughout the week in Miami.

On Aug. 27 at 8 p.m., a new queen will be crowned, taking over from last year's winner Audrey Eckert, who represented Nebraska at the 2025 pageant.

Chivas goal scoring finally appeared in the Apertura 2026 when they defeated Tijuana by a 5-2 score. Chivas finally scored more than one goal in a Liga MX game during the season after they were able to convert their chances days after the news came that their top goal scorer, Armando Gonzalez, was transferred to Olympiakos in Greece. Tijuana came into the match tied in first place but they had a poor defensive display that Chivas took advantage of. Chivas will now travel south to face off against Pachuca while Tijuana returns home where they will host Pumas.
The 1st half started with a two hour and thirteen minutes rain delay. While the stadium crew did a huge effort to get the field in playable conditions, the field was drenched in a lot of areas. A good combination play ended with Efrain Alvarez getting the ball in the area but his left footed shot went wide. A left footed shot from outside the area by Santiago Sandoval was easily saved by Tijuana's goalkeeper, Jose Rodriguez. A back pass was badly fumbled by Rodriguez and left there for Ricardo Marin, who incredibly kicked the ball straight to Rodriguez in a terrible miss. Off a corner kick, the cross into the area was headed back by Luis Romo into the path of Santiago Sandoval, who headed the ball from close range past Rodriguez to score and give Chivas the early 1-0 lead. It was a deserved goal as Chivas had been the better team. Tijuana would try to answer back with a counter in which Ramiro Arciga got off a header that would be cleared off the line by Romo. Off another corner kick, the cross into the area was headed back by Diego Campillo into the path of Ricardo Marin, who headed the ball from close range past Rodriguez to score and increased the lead to 2-0. It was the same play that Tijuana failed to defend and from set pieces, Chivas had a two goal lead. A cross into the area was headed by Diego Abreu but his teammate, Ignacio Rivera would get in between the path of his shot and deflected it wide. After a thru pass would allow Hugo Camberos to get into the area, he would be brought down by Arciga and the referee would give a Penalty Kick to Chivas. Ricardo Marin took the PK and calmly placed his left footed shot past Rodriguez to score and increased Chivas' lead to 3-0. The halftime whistle blew and Chivas had a solid lead after having their best half played so far in the Apertura 2026.
The 2nd half started with Tijuana subbing out Pablo Ortiz, Diego Abreu and Ignacio Rivero for Alan Vega, Elias Manoel and Yael Padilla. Seconds after the start of the half, Chivas lost the ball and allowed Ivan Tona to get to the area but his left footed shot was blocked by Chivas' goalkeeper, Raul Rangel. Rafael Fernandez got off a right footed shot from outside the area that went wide. Chivas subbed out Efrain Alvarez and Miguel Gomez for Brian Gutierrez and Luis Rey. Tijuana subbed out an injured Ramiro Arciga for Francisco Gonzalez. A great combination play by Chivas ended with Gutierrez finding a

Cristian Perez will likely call himself "UFC fighter" come Wednesday.
At Dana White's Contender Series 88 on Tuesday, Perez (15-2) finished a game opponent in Logan Paxton (10-2) with punches at 1:06 of Round 2. The lightweight bout took place at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
The first round was competitive, with Paxton showcasing some aggression and power. Perez remained level-headed, focused on the ***** ignment. In Round 2, Perez put Paxton down with a big left hook and finished the fight with a pair of hammerfists.
Perez, 27, redeems himself after a failed DWCS attempt vs. Manoel Sousa in 2025. The fight was a back-and-forth banger, but Perez was finished midway through Round 3. The loss was the only one in his most recent eight appearances.
Paxton, 31, has an eight-fight winning streak snapped.

With a three-belt unification against Noel Mikaelian off the table for now, Mike Coppinger reports that David Benavidez will return to action on December 12th. Coppinger "expect[s]" him to meet interim WBC cruiserweight champion Michal Cieslak, confirming an earlier report from Abraham Gonzalez, who claims it will land in the "area" of Benavidez's birthplace of Phoenix, Arizona.
Cieslak (28-2, 22 KO), whose only pro losses came in ******* le bids against Ilunga Makabu and Lawrence Okolie, mollywhopped the remains of Jean Pascal two Junes ago for his seventh consecutive victory since falling to Okolie in 2022. He's not a particularly glamorous opponent and doesn't have the deepest body of work outside of faded vets like Pascal, Olanrewaju Durodola, and Youri Kayembre Kalenga, but he's a solid operator and hasn't gone the distance in victory since 2018.
Benavidez (32-0, 26 KO) made short work of "Zurdo" Ramirez in his cruiserweight debut to claim the WBA and WBO ******* les. He then flexed his status as reigning WBC light heavyweight champion to push for a rare mandatory unification against Mikaelian. Sampson Lewkowicz and Don King claim to have worked out a deal, but Mikaelian elected to try his luck with Zuffa instead, which I'm still convinced will result in a lawsuit.
Thus, a kinda-palatable ******* le defense. Maybe next time.

Veteran wide receiver Tank Dell is finally coming back for the Houston Texans.
Entering 2026, he'll be a part of a crowded receiver room that includes Nico Collins, Xavier Hutchinson and Jayden Higgins. And coming off a severe injury that sidelined him for nearly two years, it could be risky to add him into the immediate plans regarding fantasy rosters.
However, one fantasy football expert thinks Dell could be a sleeper option this season.
NFL.com's fantasy expert Matt Okada believes Dell should be taken in the final round of fantasy drafts. He also thinks there is an upside to drafting Dell given his flashes at points during his career:
"It's been a long road back since Dell suffered a catastrophic knee injury in December 2024. Dell returned to a full-pads practice for the first time on Aug. 5. He could be back at the forefront of the Houston offense in 2026, alongside Nico Collins and the Iowa State duo of Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel. Eintracht Frankfurt and SV Elversberg have agreed to a loan deal for Noel Futkeu ahead of the upcoming 2026-27 season.
The striker will move to the Saarland club on a until June 2027, while the newly promoted Bundesliga club also has an option to buy.
Futkeu joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Schwarz-Weiß Essen in 2023 and scored 16 goals in 27 Regionalliga (fourth division) appearances.
In 2024, Futkeu moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth and was the top scorer in the 2. Bundesliga last season with 19 goals in 36 games.

Cologne and Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly reached an agreement over the transfer of Ellyes Skhiri back to his old Bundesliga club, dramatically reviving a return that appeared to have been abandoned only weeks ago. Sport Bild reports the two Bundesliga clubs have settled the terms of a deal for the 31-year-old midfielder. The remaining obstacle is Skhiri's salary demand. Cologne are reportedly prepared to offer the Tunisia international approximately €1.5m per year. Skhiri currently ranks among Frankfurt's higher earners and has yet to accept the proposed terms.
Get German Football News reported in late July that Skhiri had been granted permission to negotiate a departure from Eintracht Frankfurt. The midfielder was omitted from Adi Hütter's training-camp squad after being informed that he no longer featured prominently in the club's plans. A return to Köln initially appeared one of the most logical solutions. That option subsequently seemed dead, however.
GGFN reported during Köln's pursuit of Wolfsburg midfielder Vinicius Souza that Skhiri was no longer considered an option at the RheinEnergieStadion. Köln had elected to explore alternative solutions for René Wagner's midfield instead. That position was reinforced again only recently when GGFN covered Sevilla's emerging interest in Skhiri. At that stage, Köln were understood to have dropped their pursuit entirely.
Skhiri's return would address an obvious need in Köln's midfield, where Tom Krauß, Ísak Jóhannesson and summer signing Paul Okon-Engstler currently represent Wagner's main central options. The veteran already knows the club exceptionally well. Skhiri joined Köln from Montpellier for approximately €6m in 2019 and developed into one of their most important players. He made 133 competitive appearances for the club and contributed to 28 goals before departing for Frankfurt on a free transfer in 2023.
Skhiri has since made 117 appearances for Eintracht, although his role declined last season. The additions of Raphael Onyedika and Noël Aséko have further reduced his prospects under Hütter. Skhiri also enters the final year of his SGE contract. The RheinMainAdler remain eager to cash in on the 86-times-capped international, who still maintains a €5m estimated market value. The two clubs have ironed out the terms of the transfer. Skhiri will still have to lower his salary expectations in order to facilitate the move.

NEW YORK, Aug 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar was mixed on Thursday after data showed that producer prices were unchanged in July, leading traders to further pare bets on a September Federal Reserve interest rate ‌hike.
The flat reading in the Producer Price Index for final demand last month followed a revised 0.1% drop in ‌June. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the PPI rebounding 0.2%.
It comes after Wednesday's consumer price inflation report showed that U.S. consumer prices barely increased last month.
Noel Dixon, senior macro strategist at State Street, said the components of Thursday's report that feed into the personal consumption expenditures data due later this month suggest that the report "should be pretty good."

Two Bundesliga midfielders could be headed for the Premier League before the transfer window closes, with Crystal Palace showing concrete interest in Eintracht Frankfurt's Farès Chaïbi and Ipswich Town continuing their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen's Exequiel Palacios. According to Sport Bild, Crystal Palace are considering a move for Chaïbi. No formal offer has yet arrived in Frankfurt, though one could reportedly follow soon.

The 20-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is starring in Midsummer!, an adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Suri will be playing Helena, Mustardseed, Flute and Thisbe in the show, which runs from Aug. 6 to 19.

As much as I prefer to start on an upward trajectory, this has to be addressed.
The Texans constrained their media affiliates on what they can tweet and communicate regarding depth charts, player groupings, and roster configuration. Do they not realize there are eight practices open to the public and preseason games? Fans will find out sooner or later what they're hiding. My hunch, first-rounder Keylan Rutledge doesn't look good and is not participating with the first or second string.
This is more illogical than embarrassing… and it's fairly embarrassing. There are eight practices open to the public, who have no media affiliation nor restriction on posting on social media. Word is going to get out one way or another as to what's happening at camp. If anything, trying to conceal it will only make fans search harder.
Watson in very short time and with even less production wedged himself onto this roster as an integral part of the system. His blocking and route running are highly valued ******* ets by Offensive Coordinator Nick Caley. Plus, the injury to Jaylin Noel opened up more reps for the veteran. Depending on Noel's timeline, Watson has the inside track to not only make the roster but start as the WR3.

It'll soon be back-to-back U.S. appearances for Australia's Jai Opetaia, who has landed the co-feature slot on one of the biggest boxing cards in 2026.
Opetaia, the reigning Zuffa cruiserweight champion, will defend his ****** le against Noel Mikaelian on the Sept. 12 Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn undercard at the T-Mobile in Las Vegas.
Mikaelian is the reigning WBC cruiserweight world champion. The status of that ****** le was not clarified in Tuesday's announcement, although Mikaelian did ****** ert his intention to defend his crown.
"When I step into the ring on September 12 against Jai Opetaia in Las Vegas, I intend to defend my world championship," Mikaelian said in a press release.
Opetaia (30-0, 23 KOs), a former two-time IBF cruiserweight champion, routed Brandon Glanton in his Zuffa Boxing debut in March.

Despite a standing order to defend his WBC cruiserweight ***** le against David Benavidez, Noel Mikaelian will meet Jai Opetaia in the co-feature of Zuffa Boxing's Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"This is a huge card, and I look forward to showing the world once again why I'm the best cruiserweight on the planet," Opetaia said. "Credit to Noel for stepping up to the plate while others — yes, David Benavidez, I'm talking about you — continue to run and hide."
"This is a massive fight for Jai, and it's refreshing to see a top-tier cruiserweight step forward when so many continue to avoid the challenge," said Mick Francis, Opetaia's longtime manager. "He's proud to defend the Zuffa Boxing and Ring ***** les on the biggest stage."
"When I step into the ring on September 12 against Jai Opetaia in Las Vegas, I intend to defend my world championship. This is the fight I've wanted since becoming a two-time world champion, and I'm ready to deliver," Mikaelian said. "I haven't fought since December 2025 because of circumstances outside of my control. I refused to stay inactive. It's certainly a better matchup than the Glanton fight that kicked off this whole debacle in the first place. but I personally would not put any stake in this happening. Mikaelian (28-3, 12 KO) is under contract with Don King, who remains as vexatiously litigant as ever and has a long history of quashing any attempt by his fighters to compete outside of his purview. Dan Rafael reports that King, who'd reached a deal with Benavidez promoter Sampson Lewkowicz, will follow his usual M.O. and "likely" file suit.

The Houston Texans are expecting a massive jump from second-year wide receiver Jayden Higgins as they prepare to make their deepest run in the playoffs in the DeMeco Ryans era.
They'll need to see growth, especially with second-year standout Jaylin Noel on the NFI list with a finger issue and Tank Dell still working his way back from injury.
It's early in training camp, so expectations are low, but takeaways are high. As the team prepares for their first indoor practice, Higgins has been the best offensive weapon, turning heads through drills, especially in team reps as C.J. Stroud's second-best threat.
"You're seeing a guy who we're able to move around the formation a little bit more, get him inside the formation, "Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said. "He's making some plays everywhere we put him. On the first play of practice today, he ran a great route and C.J. gave him a great ball. It just shows his growth and shows a guy you can rely on."

Suri Cruise, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has legally dropped her father's last name and chosen a surname that honors her mother instead, according to a Page Six report.
Rather than adopting Holmes as her last name, Suri opted for Noelle, her mother's middle name. While it's unclear when she officially changed her last name, Page Six reported that she registered to vote in Allegheny County, Pa., under the name Suri Noelle during her freshman year at Carnegie Mellon University in October 2024. She first made headlines in June 2024, when she graduated from New York City's LaGuardia High School and was listed as Suri Noelle in the ceremony pamphlet.
The reported name change comes after years of estrangement from Cruise. Following her parents' divorce in 2012, Suri moved from Los Angeles to New York City with Holmes, who was granted full custody, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The Mission: Impossible star was ordered to pay $400,000 annually in child support, plus medical, dental, education and insurance expenses, until Suri turned 18, the outlet reported.
Before moving to Pittsburgh, Pa., Suri, who has often been described as the spitting image of her mother, was frequently spotted out and about in New York City.
"We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests," read a joint statement from Holmes and Cruise following their divorce in 2012. "We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents."
