The Heat have had a really poor start to the season, winning just one of their first five games. That has increased the need for reinforcements, and Irving has come up as a potential option.
However, NBA insider Brett Siegel has all but dismissed the chance of this move happening, even if the interest from Miami is genuine.

TOMARATA, New Zealand (AP) — Defending champion Fifa Laopakdee of Thailand salvaged a 1-over 71 in strong wind Friday in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship to take a two-stroke lead into the weekend at Te Arai Links.
A day after opening with an 8-under 63, Laopakdee began his morning round on the seaside layout bogey-bogey-birdie-bogey-bogey in 35 mph wind. The Arizona State senior also bogeyed the 10th, then birdied Nos. 12, 13 and 17.
"I had a 5‑footer two holes in a row and the ball just snapped 90 degrees," Laopakdee said. "I aimed a foot left from 5 feet and it went like 3 feet right. It's pretty tricky. Overall, it was a grind out there and I would take 7 under for the first two rounds."
The winner will receive spots in the Masters and British Open. Last year in Dubai, Laopakdee won the third hole of a playoff to become the first Thai champion in event history.

San Antonio viewers are about to see a new face on their TV screens. But one station's new addition is a face you may have seen before.
Casey Viera, who spent about three and a half years with local CBS affiliate KENS 5, announced on social media on Thursday, October 29, that he'll be making a comeback in San Antonio.
"Happy to share I've returned back to KENS5 as a Sports Anchor," Viera wrote in a post on X. "Thrilled to be back to make more memories in such an exciting time in San Antonio with a place that's given me some of the best times of my career."
According to LinkedIn, Viera was with KENS 5 from January 2022 until May 2025, where viewers saw anchored the 6 and 10 p.m. sportscasts. Viera told MySA his contract with the station timed out amid TEGNA's merger with Nexstar Media Group, though he never wanted to leave because it's the "best newsroom I've ever worked in."

The Hall of Famer recalled the moment Jordan pulled him aside while playing golf in the early 1990s. On The Dan Patrick Show in June 2025, Barkley said he was making about $3 million a year from his Nike endorsement deal at the time.
"We were playing golf and he says, 'Chuck, I was talking to somebody, I want you to quit taking $3 million. Take $1 million and take the other $2 million in stock options,'" Barkley said.

During a YouTube live stream on Monday (Oct. 19), the 44-year-old America's Next Top Model season one winner criticized the brand's direction and shared her frustrations alleging the brand selects established celebrities and influencers over unknown talent and models.

And, although each player is good, this season, only Alexis Mac Allister has really met expectations.

Going into Sunday's game between Juventus and Lazio, the Biancocelesti hadn't won a game at the Allianz since 2017, back when Ciro Immobile was banging in goals and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was blossoming into a full-on superstar. It was still the height of the Streak, before Beppe Marotta was forced out of the front office by Andrea Agnelli and Juve's long, slow decline began.
So yeah, a long time ago.
But that long unbeaten streak against Lazio at home ended with a thud. Juventus' attack continued to prove toothless, generating just two shots on target all night. They held Lazio to only three of their own — but the problem was that Lazio made the most of all three, ruthlessly finishing whenever they had the chance to polish off a 3-0 win.
Indeed, Juve were outplayed for much of the night. Whatever momentum they might have picked up from their last-second win over Celta Vigo midweek was nowhere to be found. They were on the back foot for much of the night, while Lazio at times played football that made you wonder where the **** Gennarro Gattuso was keeping this when he was failing to qualify for the World Cup with Italy seven months ago.
It was an awful game, through and through, and now it leaves everyone picking up the pieces.

The Carolina Hurricanes lost for the first time in two weeks on the second night of a back-to-back, and Calgary picked up their second win of the season thanks to a late third period goal by Yegor Sharangovich. The 3-2 loss ended the Cane's winning streak at seven, and was their first road loss of the year.
The loss came with some rough news before puck drop as Mark Jankowski was scratched as a game time decision, leading to Nicolas Deslauriers having to draw in and Jordan Martinook to play center on the normal Staal line. Already missing Jordan Staal and Taylor Hall, the Jankowski injury left the Canes scrambling, and after the game it sounded as if it was something to worry about as he was sent back to Raleigh to have it checked out according to Rod Brind'Amour
The action really didn't get going until the second period. The first had plenty of back and forth, but both Brandon Bussi for Carolina and Devin Cooley for Calgary handled the shots in front of them well. The Canes outshot Calgary 14-8, but as tends to happen with the shots that get through Carolina's defense, the Calgary shots were some high-quality ones that required good stops by Bussi.
In the second it was more of the same until Jesperi Kotkaniemi decided it was time for him to score again. With the loss of Jordan Staal, Kotkaniemi has had steady ice time playing mostly on the fourth line. He was rewarded for his patience on Saturday with a goal in Winnipeg, and on Sunday he found the back of the net again thanks to a great pass from Nicolas Deslauriers. When did we lose the art of enjoyment? These days, the average person loves a think piece—specifically, having their own and putting it out there for the world to see. It stems from this new access we have on the internet to each other. On ****** es like TikTok, Instagram, and X and Threads, we can reach beyond our narrow circles into the phones of literally anyone else. Out of this environment, we've normalized an even more extreme parasocial nature between celebrities, influencers, and each other. The new internet landscape involves users ****** yzing and critiquing anyone who chooses to try or put themselves out there, serving as amateur publicists, stylists, and brand-image architects. There's an element of this new world order that's thrilling—our opinions matter! But...what's that phrase about opinions again?
I'd argue that we've critiqued ourselves into mass hysteria, conflating personal opinion with expertise. Just because someone has something to say doesn't mean they actually know what they're saying. There once was a time when people took the time to learn, gain experience, and work in a specific field so they're equipped to handle certain industries. But now, everyone simply thinks they know enough about everything. And it's making fashion and entertainment commentary less fun for everyone involved.
Over the last few weeks, with Fashion Month, the Emmys, and the VMAs, we were inundated with sartorial opinions on the internet. Top of mind for me was Shailene Woodley's Emmys look.

On ****** es like TikTok, Instagram, and X and Threads, we can reach beyond our narrow circles into the phones of literally anyone else. Out of this environment, we've normalized an even more extreme parasocial nature between celebrities, influencers, and each other. The new internet landscape involves users ****** yzing and critiquing anyone who chooses to try or put themselves out there, serving as amateur publicists, stylists, and brand-image architects. There's an element of this new world order that's thrilling—our opinions matter! But...what's that phrase about opinions again?
I'd argue that we've critiqued ourselves into mass hysteria, conflating personal opinion with expertise. Just because someone has something to say doesn't mean they actually know what they're saying. There once was a time when people took the time to learn, gain experience, and work in a specific field so they're equipped to handle certain industries. But now, everyone simply thinks they know enough about everything. And it's making fashion and entertainment commentary less fun for everyone involved.
Over the last few weeks, with Fashion Month, the Emmys, and the VMAs, we were inundated with sartorial opinions on the internet. Top of mind for me was Shailene Woodley's Emmys look.
