Chuck Lorre ignited a feud with White House after a charity gala speech put Donald Trump on notice.
Lorre lamented that while he'd love to champion a "compassionate government," he instead feels compelled to "say a few words about that bloated orange piece of s--- in the White House."
A spokesperson for the White House responded, encouraging Lorre to "immediately seek psychiatric help to treat his severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome."
Add Chuck Lorre to the overstuffed rolodex of Hollywood legends who have personal beef with Donald Trump.
The creator of such modern classics as The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men took no prisoners in his acceptance speech after winning the Founders Award at a Project Angel Food fundraiser in Los Angeles on Sept. 26. "Sure, I'd love to stand here and talk about my deep yearning for a more compassionate government, one that prioritizes the health and welfare of its citizens," he lamented. "But the burden of my profession demands that I take this opportunity to say a few words about that bloated orange piece of s--- in the White House" (per The Daily Beast).

Devon Sawa and Macaulay Culkin's internet feud may be over, but one joke persists. Sawa recently opened up about a strange rivalry with Culkin, saying that the "Home Alone" star still owned a website with his name.
Sawa has revealed to E!'s Hot Goss that the playful feud dates back to when Culkin purchased a website connected to him. Culkin bought devonsawa.com around Sawa's birthday. He then proceeded to direct fans towards merchandise and jokes involving the actor.
"He and I had a internet beef," Sawa told E!'s Eyal Booker and Lonnie Marts IIV. "He bought devonsawa.com. He did that, and we did this photo shoot together, and then we just started pranking each other."
The rivalry ultimately "kind of faded out," but Culkin still owns devonsawa.com. "If you want to go to devonsawa.com, you will be purchasing everything from Macaulay Culkin," Sawa joked. "I can't believe I'm giving him free press." Despite the long time they spent trolling each other, Sawa heaped praise on his fellow former child star.
"He's amazing," he said.

Matt Bell, 52, has been farming for more than half his life in central North Carolina. He grows soybeans, corn and wheat and raises beef cattle on more than 1,000 acres. But Bell, who voted for President Trump, says soaring prices for fuel, fertilizer, and equipment are hurting his farm and leading some of his fellow farmers to consider calling it quits once this growing season ends.
"I've done this 34 years. I have never worried and stressed like I have the last year," Bell told CBS News in an interview on Wednesday at his farm in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
Bell has been forced to make significant changes to his operation as a result of the high costs. He's shifting some of his acreage, trying to stretch out the lifespan of his equipment and producing his own fertilizer. His children have also opened up a storefront where visitors can pick pumpkins and take hayrides in the fall. But Bell is still feeling the pinch.
"We've cut everything we can cut," he said. "The last several years in agriculture have been terrible, and we have, you know, just cut the fat anywhere we could. But we're just getting to the point now there's nothing left to cut. You cannot run without fuel. You cannot run without fertilizer. You have to have that."

Grab Holdings (NASDAQ:GRAB), a super-app for ride-hailing, deliveries, and digital financial services, closed at $2.87, down 1.37%. The stock moved after Grab announced a $1.49 billion cash deal for a 60% stake in Atome Financial. Investors are watching the financial services expansion and consumer lending reach looking ahead. Trading volume reached 82.1M shares, coming in about 72% above its three-month average of 47.6M shares. Grab Holdings IPO'd in 2020 and has fallen 76% since going public.
The S&P 500 (SNPINDEX:^GSPC) fell 0.43% to 7,553, and the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX:^IXIC) slipped 0.01% to 25,978. Among ride-hailing, delivery, and consumer fintech platforms, Uber Technologies (NYSE:UBER) closed at $71.01, down 0.59%, while Lyft (NASDAQ:LYFT) finished at $15.69, unchanged, as mobility peers remained in focus.
Grab, the Southeast Asian delivery, mobility, and financial services upstart, continues to show it intends to become the leading "superapp" in its niche after acquiring 60% of Atome Financial for $1.49 billion today. Prior to the deal, Grab held over $6 billion in cash versus minimal debt, so the deal shouldn't be a funding problem by any means.
Atome Financial operates in five of Grab's six markets and brings over 25 million unique transacting users, helping to beef up the latter's fintech offerings. Atome has seen its gross merchandise volume grow ninefold over the last six years and is profitable on an adjusted EBITDA basis.
As of 2024, merely 5% of Southeast Asian adults owned a credit card and only 14% had borrowed from a financial institution, so the potential here for Grab could be massive if they execute successfully upon this opportunity.

On the September 11 episode of Mad Money, Jim Cramer expressed strong optimism for Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE:EAT) ahead of its upcoming **** yst presentation, as he said:
Thursday, we have two important **** yst meetings. Brinker... We have them all the time on the show. Brinker, you know, is Chili's, and the company never fails to wow me. I think this meeting will be no exception.
Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE:EAT) continues to demonstrate operational strength across the casual dining sector, driven by sustained customer traffic and menu innovation at Chili's Grill & Bar. In its fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, the company generated $1.54 billion in total revenue, bringing full-year revenues to $5.81 billion. Adjusted earnings per share for the quarter reached $3.07, representing a 23% year-over-year increase.
Chili's reported a 5.6% increase in comparable store sales, marking its 21st consecutive quarter of positive same-store sales growth. The sustained momentum has been supported by the ongoing success of the $10.99 "3 for Me" everyday value platform as well as targeted menu launches, including the Big Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which helped support traffic as Chili's continued positioning its value proposition against fast-food offerings. According to the company's CEO Kevin Hochman, the Big Crispy Chicken Sandwich "overdelivered" on the management's estimates.
Despite consistent top-line momentum, Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE:EAT) faces ongoing execution risks **** ociated with sticky cost inflation and broader macroeconomic pressures on consumer spending. Elevated wholesale prices for core commodities, especially beef and produce, continue to weigh on restaurant operating costs, while wage growth across regional markets keeps labor expenses elevated.

Hosted by Mariska Hargitay and live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards welcomed over 20 first-time nominees, including Chase Infiniti for The Testaments, Hacks star Megan Stalter, Sarah Pidgeon for FX's Love Story, and Carey Mulligan, who is up for two Emmy nominations for her role as Lindsay Crane-Martín in Netflix's Beef.
Mulligan attended tonight's ceremony in a dress designed by everyone's favorite minimalist duo, the Olsen twins. And yet, despite The Row's restrained approach to fashion, Mulligan's resort 27 dress is anything but. It's colorful. It's playful. It's eye-catching. The sky-blue strapless dress teases a reveal of a stark-white underpinning at the neckline, overlayed with patterned embroidery. Mulligan wore for minimal jewelry—no necklace, opting instead for stunning diamond stud earrings and a pearl ring.
The back of the dress features a deconstructed bow that drapes down to meet the hem, where a pair of pointed-toe heels peek out from underneath. See the entirety of Mulligan's look below.

Steakhouse dining chains have faced a challenging year of rising beef prices, which increased by 9.4% year-over-year in July 2026, making it harder for many restaurants to maintain profitable businesses and keep their doors open.
Among the restaurant chains implementing plans to improve their business performance is Bloomin' Brands' Outback Steakhouse, which has closed locations that no longer make economic sense to operate.
Outback Steakhouse is closing two more of its restaurants about 10 months after the chain's owner Bloomin' Brands launched a multi-year turnaround strategy that will eliminate locations that lack the potential for growth.
The 38-year-old steakhouse chain abruptly closed its Evansville, Wyo., location on Aug. 23, 2026, and posted a farewell note on its front door.
"G'Day Casper/Evansville: Outback Steakhouse is now closed. Thank you for all your support over the last 21 years. It has been a pleasure working with so many great, local Outbackers over the years. To all the fond memories!!! Cheers, The Outback Team," the note stated.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts spent an entire offseason reshaping the defense.
They signed multiple free agents to beef up the defensive line. They drafted two linebackers they projected as potential starters. They waited for two promising defensive backs to get healthy after training camp injuries cost each their entire 2025 seasons.
But on Sunday, it didn't look like a new and improved unit. Instead, the Colts allowed 506 total yards and 202 yards rushing in another troubling season-opening loss.
"This is a good gut check for the entire team, every single one of us," Pro Bowl defensive tackle and team captain DeForest Buckner said after an underwhelming reintroduction in a 41-23 loss to Baltimore. "We've got to be better, including myself. We've got to be better each and every day, have a sense of urgency and move on to the Chiefs."
It's a familiar refrain for Indy fans, who have celebrated just one opening-day win in the past 13 years. And to many, this one seemed like more of a dud than the promised fresh start. They responded with a cascade of boos as they watched more of the same.

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens haven't worked out a contract extension yet, and whenever a player this big goes this long without a deal, there are rumblings of what's really going on behind the scenes.
The Ravens go up against the Indianapolis Colts in their season opener in Week 1, and ahead of the matchup, The Athletic's Jonathan Jones is sharing his notes about what's really going on inside the Baltimore camp with this superstar quarterback.

October live cattle (LEV26) futures on Tuesday rose $4.075 to $217.025 and hit a two-week high. November feeder cattle (GFX26) rose $5.725 to $320.45 and hit a three-week high. Both markets in morning trading on Wednesday were giving back some of Tuesday's strong gains to start the holiday-shortened trading week.
The cattle futures markets on Tuesday saw more solid short covering and perceived bargain buying by the speculators. President Donald Trump's recent overtures to get smaller U.S. beef processors ramped up appears to have also given a psychological boost to the cattle industry.

Let's start the night off by taking a look back over the three biggest stories of Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026.
Paulo Costa requested UFC release multiple times with only one fight left on contract – 'I'm very professional': At 35 years of age, maybe Paulo Costa thinks he can cash out in the boxing ring before his career is up? I'm not sure what MMA promotion would pay him significantly more than his current UFC contract.
Paddy Pimblett details hatred of Ilia Topuria: 'I want to inflict pain on his life': It really is remarkable that two random undercard fighters started beefing and then ended up as two of the sport's biggest stars years later.

Isaac and his wife, Elvira Lind, have been each other's dates to awards ceremonies for years. Over the past decade, Isaac has shared updates about his relationship. Keep reading for all the facts about the actor's wife, whether he has kids, and more.
Lind is a 45-year-old film director from Copenhagen, though she and Isaac are currently based in New York. She primarily makes documentaries, though Lind and Isaac have worked together on some fiction projects, including Lind's Oscar-nominated short film The Letter Room.
She wrote a message "to [her] talented husband" after The Letter Room was made. "Thank you for letting me put you in a fat suit during a Summer heat wave," says her June 2020 Instagram post. That same year, Lind and Isaac started their own production company, Mad Gene Media.
She continued, "Thank you for trusting me to direct you while I was 7 months pregnant. I know that wasn't always easy. Thank you for encouraging me and showing up and doing absolute magic like you always do. And thank you for growing the most impressive moustache I have ever seen. You are the funniest man I know. I love you more than any words can explain on social media. I am very happy we got to make this together – (and stayed married after)."

Over the past decade, Isaac has shared updates about his relationship. Keep reading for all the facts about the actor's wife, whether he has kids, and more.
Lind is a 45-year-old film director from Copenhagen, though she and Isaac are currently based in New York. Per her website, she went to film school in Cape Town in 2006 before launching a career in filmmaking.

I come to you in peace.
You'll find zero negative vibes here today — and I have little interest in sparking any kind of intra-fanbase beef or even a mild-mannered debate for that matter.
There'll be no fingers being pointed, blame apportioned, guilt being tripped and absolutely no pontificating whatsoever. My soap box is well and truly collecting dust in the garage, where it shall remain.
To paraphrase Julia Roberts in the otherwise underwhelming romantic comedy Notting Hill…
I am just a man, standing in front of a fanbase, asking them to buy a ticket for tonight's Carabao Cup game against Hull City. How will I present my case? In the form of a list, of course. Everybody loves a list, don't they?

(NewsNation) — Rising costs continue to squeeze American households, with prices climbing across groceries, gas and health insurance.
Beef prices have jumped for numerous reasons, including a shrinking U.S. cattle herd, drought, consumer demand, and inflation. Ground beef prices are nearing $7 per pound, up $0.63 since July 2025, and sirloin steaks have jumped to nearly $15 per pound, up $1.04 since July 2025.
Food prices in July 2026 were 3% higher than in July 2025, per the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service.
The ongoing war in Iran has led to rising gas prices, with the national average currently at about $4.14, nearly a dollar higher than it was just a year ago, according to AAA.

Usually, when a restaurant chain goes under, it happens in steps.
On The Border, for example, first closed a number of locations, then filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. It was purchased during that process and closed a few more locations. Then, its new owner filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy for the brand, shutting down all but a handful of franchised locations.
It's rare that a company simply makes the decision to close all its restaurants and exit that business.
Whitbread, a company that operates a number of restaurant chains including Beefeater, Brewers Fayre, Bar + Block, Table Table, Whitbread Inns, and Cookhouse + Pub, plans to close all of its restaurants, a process that began in September.

Western Michigan football likely has some beef with Michigan – and the refs.
The Wolverines won 13-12 over the Broncos at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Sept. 9, on a last-second Hail Mary pass from quarterback Bryce Underwood to receiver JJ Buchanan. The game had appeared to be over one play before when Underwood's previous Hail Mary attempt sailed out of the end zone with the game clock appearing to have expired, but the officials put one second left on the clock, giving the Wolverines their opportunity to win.
The decision immediately came under scrutiny, with NBC rules ****** yst Terry McAauley questioning how the call was made.
"Our in-set clock is in-synch, is the actual stadium clock, the ball isn't even close to touching a player when it goes to zero," McAauley said. "Now their system, their Hawk-eye system, apparently either had a different synch or whatever and they came up with 1 second when it touched the players. I don't see how that happened, ****** uming our clock is correct."
But if this was found to be the wrong call, can it be reversed?

Tyson Foods lowered its fiscal 2026 revenue growth forecast to 1.5%-2.0%, down from 2.5%-3.5%.
The company expects significant losses in its beef segment due to volatile cattle prices and shortages.
Tyson Foods shares dropped 7% after the revised outlook and are down 11% year-to-date.
Tyson Foods updated its fiscal 2026 outlook Thursday. Investors aren't too pleased.
Shares of Tyson Foods (TSN) sank roughly 7% in morning trading after the meat giant reduced its full-year revenue growth and adjusted operating income projections, "primarily driven by significant margin compression amid volatile cattle prices and one of the most severe cattle shortages in U.S. history, as well as the expected impact of lower cattle prices on the value of live cattle inventories."

More than half a decade after the pandemic fundamentally changed how consumers interact with restaurants, delivery has moved well beyond the "turn it on" phase for full-service operators. The focus now is less on adding a sales channel than on optimizing one that touches the kitchen, labor model, guest relationship, and broader tech stack.
"We look at it a little differently nowadays," says Jason Saposnik, VP of information technology for FSC Franchise Co., the parent company of Beef 'O' Brady's, The Brass Tap, and Newk's Eatery. "Early on, the focus was more about just growing delivery sales. Now, we're a lot more focused on whether those sales are profitable, how the restaurants can handle that increased volume, and whether customers are actually getting the same great experience."
The first major improvement in delivery operations was straightforward: getting orders into the restaurant without forcing employees to act as the integration layer.
Saposnik recalls an earlier "tablet ******* " environment in which teams monitored separate devices for DoorDash, Uber Eats, and other channels, then manually entered orders into the POS. "That created all sorts of issues for missed orders and mistakes and delays," he says. "Now, everything just flows into the POS and into the kitchen correctly."

LONDON — Having failed to secure a majority stake in Hugo Boss this summer, Mike Ashley is returning with another strategy to wrest control of the brand, and eject Stephan Sturm as chairman of the supervisory board.
Ashley's Frasers Group said in a stock market filing Tuesday that its "current intention" is to further increase its interest in Hugo Boss, including through the potential acquisition of additional shares.

Tomi Lahren, the host of Outkick's "Tomi Lahren Is Fearless."
After breaking out as a 21-year-old creator back in the early days of Facebook-driven political commentary, Tomi Lahren spent the next decade establishing herself as a fixture in conservative media. Along the way, she carved out a massive footprint across Fox News, YouTube, podcasts, and the social media accounts she uses to broadcast her perspective directly to millions of followers.
Speaking of those followers, not to mention the rest of her expansive media audience, here's one thing that surely hasn't escaped their notice: These days, some of Lahren's biggest targets are on her own side.
Lahren, who co-hosts The Big Weekend Show on Fox News in addition to hosting OutKick's Tomi Lahren Is Fearless, has repeatedly called out Republicans and the Trump administration this year over stalled priorities like mass deportations. She's also blamed the party's economic record for making socialism palatable to younger voters, warned that the right is in danger of losing young women, and slammed plans to import foreign beef as a betrayal of American ranchers.
Where others might see that kind of infighting as conservative media splintering into rival factions of podcasters and influencers, however, Lahren told me she views it more as simply the natural growing pains of an ecosystem that's expanding in real time.

When Alix Earle spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her new Netflix reality television series, "Earle Meets World," she slipped in a small dig directed toward her former boss, Alex Cooper, with whom she is currently embroiled in a months-long feud.
Earle was asked how it felt to finally address the beef on camera in the series that is due out Sept. 4. "I'm happy that I said my piece, but I'm happier just to, like, focus on the premiere and having the show out there," she told the reporter. "And, you know, hers are getting canceled, so it is what it is."
Earle's podcast "Hot Mess" was hosted on Cooper's Unwell Podcast Network until March 2025, when it was abruptly announced that it was leaving.
Cooper, best known for hosting the podcast "Call Her Daddy," took to social media in April of this year to address the rumors of their rift, saying in a video, "Hey girl, the passive aggressive reposts and the likes and the commenting on things — I've got to call you out here." She continued, "You're going to need to get specific and just say what you've got to say about me. There's no NDA. No one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself." Then, Earle responded to her in the video's comment section: "Okay on it."
