Retired wrestling legend AJ Styles made a bold point calling out WWE for not pushing new star Bron Breakker fast enough into the world ***** le scene. Breakker was viewed as a "can't miss prospect" after an epic NXT run and a hot start to his main roster career. WWE seemed ready to push Breakker to the top after storylines with Paul Heyman, Seth Rollins and CM Punk. Recent months have seen things slowing for Breakker and seemingly distanced from the main event scene.
Styles had the following to say on his podcast about being confused at WWE's logic:
"How long are we going to wait for Bron Breakker to be Heavyweight Champion? He should be next. I think that he's definitely a star right now. Why we haven't put it on him to put the rocket up his ***** and send him to the freaking moon? I don't know why we haven't done that because he is the destroyer."
The current role of Styles sees him retired from in-ring competition but active in various background roles for WWE. Styles uses his experience of well over two decades to contribute via coaching, training and scouting for the company. Two of the biggest heavyweights in the chip sector are Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: TSM) and Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA). Six months removed from a destructive knockout victory over Jake Paul, heavyweight superstar Anthony Joshua is back in the ring with eyes on a blockbuster clash against Tyson Fury later this year.
But before turning to Fury, Joshua must get past Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, his first bout since surviving a car accident in Nigeria in December.
"It’s no secret I’ve taken some time to consolidate and rebuild to be ready for stepping back into the ring and (this fight) is the next step on that journey," Joshua said in April.
While scarcely known on the heavyweight scene, Prenga is riding a 16-fight knockout streak. He has scored three-straight first-round stoppages, but against opponents with a combined record of 38-28-5.
"Anthony Joshua is a great fighter, but he made a terrible miscalculation in picking me as his opponent," Prenga said. "This is the kind of fight that changes everything in my life and his. I know they have big plans ahead after this fight. I know they are overlooking me. I’m happy about that. I will derail their plans and shock the world . . . ”

Croatian veteran Luka Modric has extended his contract with AC Milan by one season, the Serie A club announced on Thursday.
The midfielder will turn 41 in less than two months' time but has committed to Milan until June 30, 2027.
Modric joined the Italian heavyweights in 2025, scoring two goals in 37 matches last season.
"One of the finest and most iconic players in world football, the Croatian will continue his journey in the Rossoneri shirt," AC Milan said in a statement.
Modric was a finalist at the 2018 World Cup with Croatia, also picking up that year's Ballon d'Or, and won six Champions League ***** les while playing for Real Madrid between 2012 to 2025.

But UFC fans probably know him best for his now-canceled ESPN show with former two-division MMA champion Daniel Cormier.
Clark is one of several high-profile layoffs by the network this week.
“FOFO….Podcast with Dana [White] aired a day after he was fired,” UFC heavyweight Josh Hokit wrote on social media. “Every podcast creates a script of questions days in advance of the show. The mere negative thought towards the ‘Incredible Hok’ brings a curse. Let this be a lesson.”

Canelo Alvarez has suggested he will never box David Benavidez, saying “it’s not fair” that the Mexican-American fights in the weight classes he occupies.
Fans have long desired a showdown between Mexico’s Canelo, a former four-weight world champion, and Benavidez, a three-weight world champion, with many accusing Canelo of “ducking” the 29-year-old.
Canelo has held ***** les at super-welterweight, middleweight, super-middleweight, and even light-heavyweight, while Benavidez has held gold at super-middleweight, light-heavyweight and cruiserweight.

July 22 (Reuters) - U.S. stock indexes were mixed on Wednesday, as weakness in chip shares soured sentiment ahead of the first batch of Big Tech earnings that could decide the durability of Wall Street's AI-driven rally.
After months of gains that pulled the major indexes up from their March lows, momentum has faltered as volatility in heavyweight semiconductor shares has dented risk appetite.
Investors are now looking to second-quarter results from Alphabet and Tesla, the first of the so-called "Magnificent Seven" megacap companies to report after the bell for fresh evidence that these companies' multibillion-dollar investments in AI are paying off.
Alphabet will be under particular scrutiny after a delay in the launch of a model central to its AI ambitions intensified concerns. Its shares were flat.

Before Tuesday, the main event for the Carolina Panthers' 2026 installment of training camp was likely to be a heavyweight bout at a heavyweight position. But the outlook changed drastically, when news of right tackle Taylor Moton's medical issue became public.
The team had announced yesterday afternoon that the 30-year-old veteran was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung back in late June. And while Moton, per Panthers.com, has been responding well to treatment, the offensive pillar is expected to miss time into the regular season.
That forecast turned our aforementioned main event on its head, as the projected bout at left tackle between veteran Rasheed Walker and first-round pick Monroe Freeling seems likely to be called off. Nonetheless, one of those combatants may still have to put up a fight this summer.

What happened: Semiconductor stocks jumped on Monday in early trading, recovering from a rout that left the PHLX Semiconductor Index (^SOX) down more than 9% last week.
AI chip heavyweight Nvidia (NVDA) rose more than 2%, while AMD (AMD) jumped 4% on ****** yst price target calls. Broadcom (AVGO) and Intel (INTC) also gained on Monday. Marvell (MRVL) and Qualcomm (QCOM) rose as well, reversing Friday's losses.
Memory and storage leaders Micron Technology (MU) and SK Hynix (SKHY), meanwhile, jumped 5%. Highflier Sandisk (SNDK) gained more than 3%. Among the semiconductor equipment makers, ASML (ASML), Applied Materials (AMAT), and Lam Research (LRCX) edged higher.
What's behind the move: Chipmaker AMD was selected as a "top pick" by Rosenblatt, which raised its price target on the stock to $665 from $490. UBS ****** ysts also raised their price target on the stock to $700, maintaining a Buy rating ahead of the chipmaker's annual AI conference this week.
Despite the semiconductor pullback, Wall Street sees the AI trade intact with the semiconductor index 20% decline over the past month signaling "a positioning unwind following a 90% year-to-date rally," according to UBS ****** ysts.
