Will Arnett says unfiltered comments on SmartLess have sometimes led to misleading headlines
His podcast experience unexpectedly helped shape his role in the thriller Behemoth!

Will Arnett has learned that when it comes to podcasting, sometimes less is more.
The actor, 56, who stars in the new thriller Behemoth!, has spent the past several years getting candid with cohosts Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes on their hit podcast SmartLess. M*A*S*H star Alan Alda recently sat down with CBS Sunday Morning's Dr. Jon LaPook, revealing a nightmarish story from his childhood. When the actor was seven, he battled polio, and like tens of thousands of other Americans during the 1950s and 60s, the now-eliminated virus left Alda with serious symptoms at the time.
Alda explained, "I had polio before there was a vaccine. It was pretty hard to experience." He continued, contextualizing the experience, "My father had just gotten a huge part, his first big part, playing George Gershwin in the biopic of Gershwin. And about a week after he started shooting, I got polio." Of course, Alda was referring to Robert Alda, the vaudeville, Broadway, and alter, film star.
And here's where the story takes an even scarier turn. "He and my mother had to administer the treatment, which was almost scalding hot packs of wool on every limb. So they're practically torturing their kid. I remember thinking it was hard on them. There's a little bit of empathy. But I knew it was hard for them." Despite the harsh treatments, Alda was, as he described, "All stiff and I couldn't walk. I was affected in every limb but one arm."
If you're wondering what Carol Burnett has to do with the M*A*S*H star's scalding wool treatment, he shared, "She lived about two blocks away while I was in my house with polio. I would stand on the bed and look out the window and see kids playing, and I was waiting for the time I'd be out there playing with them."

Two princesses are rewriting the rules on what a future queen is supposed to look like — and the story is told entirely with their jewelry boxes. Spain's Princess Leonor and the Netherlands' Princess Amalia are both heirs apparent, both members of the same Gen Z cohort now stepping into royal life, and both destined, eventually, for a crown. But side by side, they could not be telling more different stories with their jewelry.
Princess Leonor completes her college outfit with a roomy black leather bag that balances style and practicality. (@ Europa Press via Getty Images)
Diamonds have always carried outsized meaning in royal circles — treasured by some dynasties, quietly set aside by others, but historically the clearest marker of status that Europe's reigning houses had at their disposal.
That symbolism is fracturing along generational lines. As Gen Z heirs move into the spotlight, the old formula of grand dynastic jewels signaling status is splitting in two: one path toward deliberate restraint, the other toward unapologetic opulence.
Leonor has planted her flag firmly in the first camp, favoring costume pieces, pearls and low-key designers over anything resembling a vault heirloom. Amalia has done the opposite, reaching for the Orange-Nassau family's most formidable pieces when the occasion calls for it.

Kevin Sorbo does not regret leaving California.
After the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys actor, 67, traded Hollywood for the Sunshine State seven years ago, the MAGA supporter told Fox News in an interview Sunday that part of the reason he left California was that he was "canceled" due to his political beliefs as a conservative Christian — but he had other complaints too.
Sorbo told the right-wing outlet that although he misses the weather, his old house and his local golf course, three factors keep him from returning to the Golden State.
"I mean, here in Florida, yeah, we get five months of pretty high humidity," the Andromeda star acknowledged. "It's pretty hot, but the winters here are really quite amazing. But yeah, there are things I miss, but they can keep their taxes, they can keep their traffic, and they can keep their negativity, I'm done."
He went on to say that Florida has given him more "acceptance" since he relocated with his family.

Meghan Markle is reportedly facing jokes over her "Eggxit" from California as she and Prince Harry prepare to spend an extended period in Britain. The couple plans to bring their dogs, but their much-loved flock of chickens will remain at their Montecito home under the care of household staff.
Harry and Meghan are preparing for a major change in their family routine after six years in California. However, their move across the Atlantic does not mean they are cutting ties with the US. Their Montecito mansion will remain, along with the chicken coop that became an unexpected symbol of Meghan's post-royal life.
"There has been plenty of joking about 'Eggxit' because the chickens became such a recognizable part of Meghan's California life," the source claimed to RadarOnline. "They featured prominently in the image she created after leaving Britain, so there is an obvious irony that the family is heading back to the UK while the chickens stay behind."
Meghan reportedly remains very attached to the chickens, but moving them across the Atlantic was never a realistic option. Another insider said the birds will stay at the Montecito home and continue to receive proper care.
Harry and Meghan originally rescued 10 hens from a commercial farm in California. Their neighbor, Ellen DeGeneres, later gave them another chicken. The birds also appeared during the couple's famous interview with Oprah Winfrey and later featured in one of Meghan's Netflix projects. The family even gave their chicken coop a personal name, "Archie's Chick Inn," after their son, Prince Archie.

Benny Blanco shared the results of his five-day pizza diet to prove that "you can lose weight, eating literally anything."
The prolific music producer, 38, explained his plans in an August 21 TikTok: "I'm going to eat one pizza a day and lose weight. My pizza of choice? One large thin crust" from Domino's. Showing a small slice of the pizza, he quipped, "Like, how is this supposed to last me a whole day? This is one-sixteenth of everything I can eat today."
Blanco, who began the challenge at 152.2 lbs, shared that the point was "to prove you can lose weight, eating literally anything." He stayed committed, even bringing the pizza with him when joining wife Selena Gomez for dinner at a restaurant.

The Princess of Wales, 44, is known to wear hemlines that are categorised as 'midi' in length. This is not only due to her classic personal preference, but also her adherence to the unofficial royal style rule that prefers royal women to opt for hemlines no higher than four inches above the knee.
Although this hasn't been confirmed, due to the fact there is no official royal style etiquette book for the public to see, we take our information from style experts and from studying the formal dressing ethos the royal family follows.

Some love stories begin with a grand gesture or a chance encounter — but for Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel, the unusual start to their journey was captured on camera from the very beginning.
During a trip down memory lane on Tuesday, August 4, Jonathan, 48, posted a throwback selfie on Instagram showing the day he filmed Carpool Karaoke with brother Drew Scott, 48, as well as his now-fiancée, 46, and her sister Emily Deschanel.
"7 years ago I met this amazing woman on carpoolkaraoke and well…the rest is history," he captioned the shot. "How many people can say their origin story was caught on video." Jonathan concluded the sweet message with laughing and heart emojis.
During the episode, the group sang along to a mix of beloved songs, including K-Ci & JoJo's "All My Life," Britney Spears' "…Baby One More Time" and Christmas classic "Baby It's Cold Outside," a fun nod to Zooey's famous role in Elf.
Although the episode aired in 2020, it was filmed the previous summer, when Jonathan and the New Girl alum's love story was just beginning.

Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce turned their "New Heights" podcast into one of the biggest success stories after launching the show in 2022. The brothers built a massive audience that reached far beyond football and helped make them among the highest-paid podcasters in the world.
However, the Kelce family has another podcast star as well: Jason's wife, Kylie Kelce.
Kylie delivered a memorable podcast moment when she teamed up with the Backstreet Boys, the best-selling boy band in history, to recreate one of television's most recognizable comedy scenes.
Kyle and the legendary band recreated the "I Want It That Way" cold open from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 5, Episode 17, ***** led "DFW."
That scene became one of the most shared sitcom moments ever, largely because Detective Jake Peralta, played by Andy Samberg, turned a police lineup into a performance.
