Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and singer Madison Beer announced their engagement on Instagram on Tuesday.
The singer and the quarterback have reportedly been together since August 2025. Dating rumors between the two initially sparked when Herbert was seen at a video shoot in Los Angeles.
Beer was seen kissing Herbert on the sideline before a game against the Washington Commanders in October 2025, confirming the couple's relationship.
Herbert doesn't use his Instagram account much, and when he does, he typically just posts highlights from his games or content with sponsors.
Back in April 2026, though, he posted a picture with Beer and captioned it "My world!"

Liverpool's interest in Bradley Barcola has become one of the most discussed stories of the current market, and Fabrizio Romano has now offered a pointed update on where things stand. In his latest discussion, Romano urged caution on the speed of any potential move, while making clear that the situation is alive and developing.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the key message for now is patience. He said, "many questions again tonight. I understand the excitement of Liverpool fans. I will tell you more tomorrow, but what I can say tonight as an update is don't expect something something imminent."

On Friday night, Chris Haynes of NBA on Prime reported the news that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and the Memphis Grizzlies are working on a buyout.
He would then join the Philadelphia 76ers as a free agent.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS Sports ***** yst Tony Romo has been arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence in Wisconsin.
Romo was pulled over at 6:18 CDT in Milwaukee on Thursday, July 23, according to NBC News, where he was arrested after allegedly failing a sobriety test. He was going southbound on Interstate 43. Taken into custody, Romo has since been booked and released with a court date currently scheduled for September 21, which would coincide with Monday night of the NFL's Week 2 slate.
The top CBS matchup that weekend is expected to be the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the AFC-champion New England Patriots. Romo's arrest came just hours after he'd wrapped an interview with NBC's affiliate WTMJ.
For those who may need a refresher on Romo's career, the quarterback played for 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the Dallas Cowboys, beginning in 2006. Romo has worked alongside announcer Jim Nantz as CBS's lead NFL broadcasting crew.
Romo is originally from Wisconsin, having grown up in Burlington, and was visiting to play in the 2026 Wisconsin Amateur Championship golf tournament, which has become a yearly tradition for the athlete. "It is as tough as you are going to play. I think in almost any golf tournament. You get the best guys around, the competition, and then the guys who work with the WSGA — they are really special people," Romo told WTMJ.

U.S. women's national team legend Megan Rapinoe said the U.S. men's national team had a good vibe at the 2026 World Cup — until Donald Trump got involved.
Earlier this month, the U.S. president revealed he pushed FIFA president Gianni Infantino to reverse Folarin Balogun's red card suspension ahead of the Belgium match in the round of 16.
Though Infantino has insisted that Trump did not influence FIFA's Disciplinary Committee, which operates independently, Balogun's suspension was lifted at the 11th hour in controversial fashion.
Even with its best forward available, the USMNT turned in a dismal performance against Belgium, losing 4-1 to crash out of the tournament.
"It didn't give them the boost that they were thinking it would or that Trump was hoping that it would," Rapinoe said on The Daily Show this week. "It seemed like it threw them off their game."

Ashton Jeanty has an up-and-down rookie season as a rusher for various reasons after the Las Vegas Raiders made the running back the No 6 overall pick in the 2025 draft.
However, the Boise State product did make a major impact as a receiver out of the backfield. A recent X post by NFL Researcher showed Jeanty was one of the most productive receiving running backs in the entire NFL last season.
Jeanty had 55 catches (on 73 targets) and five touchdowns. His 55 catches was the sevetnh most by a running back in the league. Jeanty should be able to build on that start as a receiver under new Raiders' head coach Klint Kubiak.

Former Netherlands midfielder Mark van Bommel is set to become Belgium coach, according to a media report.
The 49-year-old is expected to sign a contract with the Red Devils until Euro 2028, Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad reported on Wednesday.
Van Bommel, a World Cup runner-up with the Dutch in 2010, played for Fortuna Sittard, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and AC Milan.
As a coach, he took charge of PSV, VfL Wolfsburg and Royal Antwerp, where he won the Belgian double. Van Bommel has been without a club since 2024.
Frenchman Rudi Garcia was let go despite leading Belgium to the recent World Cup quarter-finals.

Kingsburg High pitcher Jensen Hirschkorn has reportedly signed a record deal with the Atlanta Braves.
The video above is from an earlier story and will be updated.
According to MLB.com's Jim Callis, the Atlanta Braves have signed Hirschkorn to a $4 million signing bonus, making it the highest signing for a draftee after the second round.
The previous record was set back in 2022 when the Texas Rangers signed their fourth-round pick, Brock Porter, for $3.7 million. Porter was also a high school pitching prospect.
Hirschkorn was drafted in the 3rd round, 84th overall, on Saturday. The value of Hirschkorn's draft slot was $973,000.

On Jeremy Fowler's annual top linebacker rankings, the Jacksonville Jaguars' Foye Oluokun was briefly mentioned.
What makes Fowler's rankings unique is that they are constructed with the input of 70 NFL execs, coaches, and scouts as the voters. Other elements, such as research, interviews, and film ***** ysis by Matt Bowen, factor in as well.
With all that taken into account, Fowler then compiles the top 10, highlights a few honorable mentions, and notes which players received votes.
Oluokun appeared in the 'receiving votes' category. So of the 70 voters who put their top 10 lists together, at least one had Oluokun in the top 10.
Since arriving in Jacksonville, Oluokun has provided a stable presence at linebacker. He's been extremely durable, playing over 1,100 snaps in three of the last four seasons, and a very reliable tackler throughout his career. He's also shown the ability to get after the quarterback as a blitzer.

Detroit defeated Cleveland, 103-94, on Sunday in the NBA Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Former Vol Chaz Lanier started and led the Pistons in scoring with 25 points. He converted 9-of-17 field goal attempts and 7-of-12 three-point attempts. Lanier also recorded three rebounds, three ******* ists and one steal.
Meleek Thomas led all scorers for the Cavaliers. He totaled 30 points, four rebounds, seven ******* ists and four steals.
Lanier was selected in the second round of the 2025 NBA draft by Detroit (No. 37 overall). He played at Tennessee during the 2024-25 season after transferring from North Florida.
During the 2024-25 basketball season, the guard appeared in 38 games, including 38 starts, for the Vols. Lanier averaged 18.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 ******* ists per game.

Terrell Owens knows something about elite wide receiver play, star exits, and what it means to carry enormous expectations in Philadelphia.
That makes his opinion on A.J. Brown's departure from the Eagles worth considering. Owens, one of the greatest receivers in franchise and NFL history, said Brown "did what was best for him" when discussing the former Eagles star's move away from Philadelphia. It was a practical response from a player who understands the business side of football as well as anyone.
Brown's exit changed the Eagles' receiver room, but Owens did not frame the situation as if Philadelphia suddenly lacked a true top option. When asked about the current group, Owens said DeVonta Smith has always been a No. 1 wide receiver. That may be the most important part of his **** sment.
Smith is no longer sharing top billing with Brown, but this is not the first time he has been asked to prove he can lead a passing game. His route running, body control, hands, and consistency have long made him one of the NFL's most polished wideouts. The difference entering 2026 is opportunity. Smith will now sit at the front of a reshaped room that includes Hollywood Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, Elijah Moore, rookie Makai Lemon, and several receivers competing for depth roles.
Owens' comments also offer a useful reminder. Brown's departure does not have to be viewed as a referendum on the Eagles or on Smith. Brown made the decision he believed was right for his career, and Philadelphia must now build around the talent that remains.

The negotiations involving Atlético-MG and midfielder Fred have entered a new chapter, but there is still no imminent outcome for the Atlético fans.
The CEO of the Minas Gerais club, Pedro Daniel, spoke openly about the talks, making it clear that completing the deal is seen as very difficult at the moment.
The main obstacle is Fred's contract with the Turkish club, which runs until June 2027.
Since Galo's board has already decided it will not make major investments in the transfer window that opens on July 20, the deal would only be viable if the player terminates his contract with Fenerbahce.

The energy inside the T-Mobile Arena was palpable. McGregor, who recovered from a broken tibia in his left leg suffered in 2021, went for a running kick in the opening seconds. Right after, things didn’t seem right.
It appeared McGregor blew out his right knee. He was slipping through the fight, and Holloway even tried to see what was wrong.
McGregor was in pain with each step, and the referee finally called it after about a minute into the fight. It was a brutal blow to McGregor and the UFC following a great night of fights.

Juventus have revived their interest in Fikayo Tomori, roughly 18 months after a move for the Milan defender collapsed when the player turned it down.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via CalcioMercato, the Bianconeri are once again weighing up the centre-back, drawn to his experience and Serie A grounding, a profile that fits Luciano Spalletti's wishes.
Any deal, however, depends on outgoings. Giovanni Carnevali's hierarchy want to lighten the squad before adding to it, and Federico Gatti is among those who could make way.

Of course anything can happen Saturday, July 11, and we've seen enough chaos at this World Cup already (looking at you, Norway) to know it is possible. Switzerland is talking a good game, too, insisting it isn't intimated at facing the defending champions.
But there is a difference between possible and probable and, sorry Switzerland, it just isn't happening.

Then Milton Williams and Christian Barmore start year two together while Cory Durden, Leonard Taylor III, Joshua Farmer, Eric Gregory, Jeremiah Pharms, David Blay and Travis Shaw will be competing for depth roles.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Casey Schmitt, Bryce Eldridge and Willy Adames homered to back rookie Carson Whisenhunt and the San Francisco Giants beat the Colorado Rockies 8-2 on Thursday night to start a four-game series.
Whisenhunt (2-0) allowed two runs on three hits in 5 2/3 innings in his second start this season and the seventh of his career. He struck out four and walked four, throwing 57 of 87 pitches for strikes.
JT Brubacker retired all four batters he faced before Erik Miller struck out two in a scoreless eighth. Caleb Kilian fanned two in the ninth to finish.
Schmitt hit his 18th homer — a two-out shot off Ryan Feltner (3-3) for a 1-0 lead in the first inning. He had an RBI double after a two-out bases-empty single by Luis Arraez to ignite a four-run eighth against reliever TJ Shook. Rafael Devers added a ground-rule RBI double in front of Adames' 15th homer to cap the rally.
Eldridge became the first Giant this season to hit a home run into McCovey Cove, tying it 2-2 in the fourth with his eighth of the season.

Schalke are reportedly in talks with former Germany full-back Robin Gosens about a return into the Bundesliga.
The Bild paper and Sky TV said that Schalke want to bolster their ranks with the 32-year-old after returning into the top flight from three seasons in the second division.
Gosens is at Serie A club Fiorentina where he has a contract until 2028. He would likely have to accept a pay cut at Schalke but has said in the past that Schalke are the club closest to his heart.
Gosens has spent the majority of his career in the Netherlands and Italy, but has one season in the Bundesliga, at Union Berlin in 2023-24.

England are gearing up for the quarter-finals of the World Cup and a fascinating clash with Norway.
Thomas Tuchel's side came through a testing and taxing night in Mexico City to reach the last eight with a performance that bolstered their hopes of lifting the trophy, and now take on Erling Haaland and co. for a semi-final spot.
Tuchel has a number of selection conundrums to sort out, with Reece James perhaps back to boost his options at the problem position at right-back.
Does Dan Burn earn a starting spot after a strong showing off the bench? Will Anthony Gordon keep his place on the left?

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Joey Bart hit a two-run home run with two outs in the eighth inning, lifting the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves to a 3-0 win over his former team on Wednesday after Pittsburgh Pirates starter Jared Jones pitched six perfect innings before being lifted.
Bart, traded to the Braves from the Pirates on June 18, followed a double by Mike Yastrzemski with a 422-foot drive to left-centerfield off a slider from Dennis Santana (2-4). Drake Baldwin added an RBI single to center in the ninth.
Jones struck out eight on 77 pitches, including 53 strikes, to lower his ERA to 4.37 from 5.28. His bid was nearly ended by Bart with one out in the third, but a long drive to left was caught at the wall by Bryan Reynolds.
The 24-year-old Jones hasn't thrown more than 81 pitches in eight starts since returning May 20 after missing all of last season after undergoing an ulnar collateral ligament internal brace surgery on May 21, 2025.
Mason Montgomery relieved Jones to start the seventh inning, getting Michael Harris II to ground to first before yielding a single to left by Ozzie Albies with one out. He struck out Matt Olson and Baldwin to end the inning.

Angel Reese felt that Atlanta Dream teammates Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray were snubbed by not being selected as All-Star starters.
Now the Dream trio will get to play together in Chicago at the WNBA All-Star Game on July 25 after all three players were selected as reserves by the league's coaches on Tuesday.
Reese had said after the All-Star starters came out that she felt her two Dream teammates should have been starting. It's the fourth time that Atlanta has had three All-Stars.
Joining the Dream players as reserves are Washington teammates Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen. Both made the All-Star Game as rookies last season.
Toronto's Marina Mabrey will be making her first All-Star appearance and gave the expansion franchise a player in the game. She matched the WNBA record with a 53-point game last month.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland, who died by suicide in November 2025 after a high-speed chase with police, had early stage chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a brain abnormality linked to repeated concussions, his family announced Tuesday.
The Boston University CTE Center, which investigates the long-term consequences of repetitive brain trauma in athletes and others, ****** yzed Kneeland's brain tissue after his death. Researchers determined Kneeland, who was 24, was in stage one of four of CTE.
