The villainous nature of Lane Kiffin is well documented. After leaving the Rebels last season before the playoffs, he allegedly left his dog behind while also trying to bring Ole Miss players to LSU. After all that, he tried to bring in players who were on NFL rosters in the offseason, and LSU ended up being sued. Now, Kiffin is returning to Ole Miss for a Week 3 game, looking for revenge.
As the game between Ole Miss and LSU approaches, Rebels head coach Pete Golding is summing up what it is like to welcome Kiffin back to town, per Trey Wallace.
"To me, it's like high school homecoming for these dudes. Like, if you focus on the wrong s**t, that homecoming dance ain't very fun after you get your **** beat on a Friday night. Woodley and Rodgers began dating in July 2020, and a few months later in December 2020, the Pittsburgh Steelers star proposed. The couple confirmed their engagement in February 2021.

Analyst Tom Haberstroh specifically named Charlotte as a genuine contender. Looking at the roster, it is not hard to see why.

1. How did K-State's offensive line look against Nicholls, and do the injuries to John Pastore and George Fitzpatrick look to hamper the Cats as much as it might seem?
The offensive line checked all the boxes it could on Saturday. There were a lot of questions surrounding this group entering the season, but game No. 1 was a success. That being said, Nicholls is just not a good football team, so it's tough to get too excited over that performance in the trenches. K-State simply had the bigger, more physically dominant dudes at the point of contact. Anything other than a promising night would have been a concern for the offensive line.
George Fitzpatrick not being able to give it a go didn't help matters, but Collin Klein & Co. certainly couldn't have been caught off guard when they learned he had to be sidelined this season. His health condition from last offseason just lingered and lingered, so it's not like this just happened out of nowhere. There was ample time to create a backup plan. John Pastore, though, was supposed to be not just a starter but a true star at left tackle. His injury, which will sideline him for the season, happened about a month before the season, and then Tanner Morley also had to miss some time late in camp, so everything kind of just compounded at once.

Dell Technologies' Q2 earnings were a perfect encapsulation of how far the company has come since its "dude, you're getting a Dell" days. Revenue and adjusted EPS spiked 58% and 203% during the quarter, rocketing past Wall Street's expectations. The core driver of Dell's success in Q2 came from its AI-Optimized Server revenue of $16.4 billion, which doubled from last year.
As promising as this revenue growth alone is in its AI unit, its record $60.9 billion of orders and exiting backlog of $95 billion highlight that the best is yet to come and that Q2's excellent results may just be the tip of the iceberg. Powered by the visibility of this backlog, management raised its full-year guidance to 69% sales growth and a 148% rise in adjusted EPS, to $25.50. This leaves DELL stock trading at 19 times forward earnings, which isn't particularly outrageous given the company's AI potential and its steady servers, networking, and PC businesses.

Houston Rockets superstar Kevin Durant has been an avid gamer for years, and it turns out that hobby has led to him making some pretty special friends. During an episode of Boardroom Talks, Speedy Morman asked Durant whether he has made friends over video games and whether they know that it's actually him they're playing with.
"Yes, they hung out with me in my house," Durant said. "They'd been friends with me for ***** near 10 years now… One of my best friends I met on the game… And it's like I trust this dude with anything. Like seriously. We hung out plenty of times. So, I'm like, 'Let me see what this dude really about.'"
With Durant regularly speaking to this person and his group of gamers during these sessions, he decided he had to meet them in person. When he did, he realized they were great people, and they are his friends to this day. While Durant is, of course, this big superstar, some of his friends have just regular day jobs.
"We got 9-to-5s," Durant said. "… And I'm like, 'How y'all got so much time to play the game with me?' My job is from 9 to 11 in the summer. I go to work, and I don't have to do that. I just go do that 'cause I love to do it. And I'm like, 'How y'all got so much time to play the game?' I'm just like, man, this my safe haven for real. This is what I do to decompress.
"It's 10 of us in a party," Durant continued. "We competitively playing the game. We communicating, trying to win. Tonight's game at Fenway Park was capital-B Baseball. Yesterday the Red Sox lost 16-1 to the Yankees in ways that were humiliating in line wit what losing to the Yankees naturally implies, especially around Labor Day. Just over a day later, they won as good a regular season game as you'll ever seen. It was a 9-8 extra innings walk-off after several comebacks against the Mariners generally but specifically Randy Arozarena, who had a Randy Arozarena Game, and overtook all of Boston's leads but the last one. The last one came on a Trevor Story single in the bottom of the 10th to end it. Before that, they played the hits: Mickey Gasper went deep again, because of course. Jarren Duran did too, because why not? Payton Tolle hugged a dude!
And yet all these feats were repeatedly and rudely refuted by the M's, not just Randy but Cal Raleigh, whose sleeves are too short and seemed to have put it out of reach at 8-5 in the 7th:
But no. The Sox would and could not be denied. Story didn't just have the hit to end it, he had the critical slap in the 8th to bring it within a run. After Aroldis did his thing in the top of the ninth (scare the ******* out of us while being objectively impressive but [redacted]) Roman Anthony came out and hit a leadoff triple and scored on a sac to left to tie it. Once the Sox dispatched the top of the 10th and came back up, they moved the fake runner to 3d and the M's walked 'em loaded and went to a 3-1 count before this happened:
"Nine-eight in 10." That's great stuff, Obie. I can't lie.

Pape Matar Sarr hasn't been seen in a Tottenham shirt since preseason and there are plenty of rumors that both he and the club are looking for an exit from N17. According to Sky Sports France's Sascha Tavolieri, the club making a late push for Sarr is none other than our good friends Nottingham Forest.
Previous rumors suggested that Sarr had preferred a move to Monaco, which as a French speaking Senegalese dude makes a ton of sense and would be a good move for him. Tavolieri writes that the Monaco interest is real, but unlikely to happen before the last week of the season and is contingent on Monaco offloading American striker Folarin Balogun first. But staying in the Premier League would have its advantages as well.
The whole kerfluffle over Morgan Gibbs-White last summer seemingly hasn't dimmed Tottenham's relationship with Forest THAT much if they're still considering a a deal. A loan plus an option isn't the best outcome for Tottenham, but it beats keeping Sarr around if he's not going to play that much, which feels like the case. Honestly, Forest wouldn't be a terrible club for Sarr to land at — he's likely going to get more playing time there and Oliver Glasner is a pretty good coach with good midfield ideas. No guarantee that Forest's mobster-boss owner Evangelos Marinakis wouldn't sack Glasner in a fit of rage after three consecutive losses, either.
Tavolieri writes that Spurs are asking €25m (£21.5m) for Sarr, which is what caused Galatasaray to back down after they offered €18m. That's well within the budgets of both Monaco and Forest (especially Forest). It could come down to where Sarr ultimately wants to go. But at this point it's looking very likely that he WILL go. Somewhere.

Carter Grandbois was 16 years old, working for a junk-removal operator in Johnstown, Colorado, when he noticed the cash. His boss kept a thick stack of it in the center console of his truck. Grandbois went home and talked to his dad, and within days, they bought a trailer. The first job paid $500 for 30 minutes of work. "That was kind of an eye-opener," Grandbois, now 18 and working for himself full-time, told Fortune.
Carter's Junk Away bills as much as $15,000 a month in peak season, Grandbois said. His W-2 employees are his high school friends, but he admits that he wasn't able to scale up and reach profitability until he created a pricing calculator, started tracking data, and started using systems to get consistent lead flows.
"I'm really into vibe-coding and creating software," he explained. "After that, we were able to be profitable on every single job," he said proudly. "When our team is out… they're bidding jobs spot-on every single time. So every time they complete a job, I mean, we're making anywhere from $50 to $200 without being on the truck." He said he earns about $125 to $1,000 per junk-removal job and he is increasingly overseeing the business from home as he scales, which is what he means by not "being on the truck."
Grandbois wants to share the wealth, too, via social media. (He's on TikTok at american.junkremoval.) "I was like, 'Hey, like everyone else could totally use this for their business.'" Now he has two calculators—a universal one for everyone and another, "private junk-removal calculator," which he described as detailed for a "more experienced junk-removal business." When asked about potentially creating his own rivals, he shrugged. "That is one of the things with giving away stuff for free. You never know who's watching the content. But at the end of the day, I know I'm doing something good for anyone else who's trying to start."
After all, he explained, it was his inspiration. Where another generation might have read about, say, Warren Buffett in Fortune magazine, he reflected, "it's probably just like Instagram reels where you're scrolling and you're like, 'That guy has a Lamborghini. That dude has a McLaren. Why can't I have one of those?'"

Conor McGregor must be out of his mind, at least according to Max Holloway.
Their highly anticipated rematch at UFC 329 turned out to be a dud thanks to McGregor blowing out his knee on an immediate jumping kick, resulting in Holloway winning by injury TKO after just 69 seconds of limited action. In the weeks following the July 11 event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, McGregor did his best to play damage control by calling for the fight to be ruled a no contest as he blamed, in part, the fog used during his entrance for causing him to slip and get injured, while also promising his "generational beating" of Holloway is simply postponed until they run it back.
All of which is laughable to Holloway.
"For that dude to be talking about how it was slippery because of the dry ice or whatever, I don't know what he's talking about because I didn't fall," Holloway said in a video posted on his YouTube channel Friday. "Him talking about this 'generational beating,' dude is delusional. Because, to me, he felt slow in there. He felt slow. He looked old. If there was going to be a generational beating, it wasn't going to be on his end, I'll tell you that much. It wasn't going to be coming from his side.
"At the end of the day, I feel bad for the fans. It was a big event. A lot of people spent a lot of money. Shout out to them for coming to support, but I had the man weak in the knees from the beginning, I guess."

TUCSON, Ariz. — Here in the office of Arizona offensive coordinator Seth Doege, you will hear the story of a college football species that has practically gone extinct.
Doege, who played quarterback at Texas Tech a decade and a half ago, points to the sofa up against the wall. That's where Noah Fifita was sitting seven months ago after Arizona completed its surprising 9-4 season, when Doege asked a question that would determine both of their futures.
"There's no doubt he's the best quarterback in the league, so people are hitting this guy up to tamper, to say, 'Hey, we'll pay you $3.5 million to come play for a year," Doege told Yahoo Sports. "And you know how it is. When you go 9-4 on a team that was picked dead last in the Big 12, now all the coaches are getting hit up [for new jobs].
"So I sat him down and said, 'Dude, what is your plan? Man to man, brother to brother, you know there's real love here. What are you gonna do? Because if you're leaving, I need to think about what I need to do. But if you're staying, I'm with you. And then he said the exact same thing, and that was that."

Four-star Kevin Hartsfield is the No. 1 running back and the No. 35 overall player in the 2028 recruiting class, and Michigan is recruiting him hard, led by position coach Tony Alford.
"It's just a great relationship with him," Hartsfield told On3's Ethan McDowell ($). "He's a cool dude. He always checks on me, and everything's really not about football. He checks on me outside of football. He taught me some things. He teaches me a lot, actually. He's not even my coach, but he teaches me a lot."
Hartsfield has been to Ann Arbor before, but he wants to come back for a game to get the full experience.

The Philadelphia 76ers continue to be the talk of the league as they have been the most aggressive team in the league in terms of making big additions. The Sixers were able to pull off a big deal to acquire Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics and that move then set up the addition of LeBron James.
James brings his brilliance now to the City of Brotherly Love as he is still one of the best players in the game this late in his career. In year 23, and his eighth with the Los Angeles Lakers, James averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 **** ists, and 6.1 rebounds while guiding the Lakers to Round 2 of the playoffs after a series win over the Houston Rockets.
Plenty of James' former teammates have come forward to speak on how terrific he is a player and a teammate and D'Angelo Russell joined that crowd as he gave his thoughts on James joining the Sixers in free agency:
But also adding a guy like LeBron to a team that did really well last year without a guy like Joel (Embiid). And then you add a healthy Joel, I think that is debatable. LeBron is the greatest of all time. Joel is ex-MVP. Jaylen Brown Finals MVP. Russell played alongside James to help the Lakers reach the Western Conference finals in 2023. He knows very well what James brings to the table and he knows what the future Hall of Famer will be able to do in Philadelphia. The Sixers will certainly be considered the favorites in a much tougher Eastern Conference as they move forward into the season.

So, Oklahoma has placed an emphasis on improving its rushing attack this offseason. Some of that is the addition of tight end coach Jason Witten and running back coach Deland McCullough. It's also due to what they return in the running back room and the new additions. Oklahoma returns its top two rushers at the running back position in Tory Blaylock and Xavier Robinson.
The Sooners also added Colorado State Rams transfer Lloyd Avant, who has received significant offseason buzz. But there is one guy that is stealing the show. Former Oklahoma All-American Teddy Lehman said he's been blown away by four-star freshman Jonathan Hatton Jr.
"Hatton is looking better and better and better," Lehman said on the 'Oklahoma Breakdown with Ikard and Lehman.' "I mean, had a really nice day out there at the scrimmage. He had a couple of big-time plays. You've got a 235-pound tailback that's one of the fastest guys on the team. So, we have a dude."
At 235 pounds, Hatton already has the size to handle the physical demands of SEC football. If Lehman's ***** sment of his speed and explosiveness is accurate, he could bring a combination that is difficult for defenses to account for.

Some are surprised that cornerback Terrion Arnold, who was cut by the Lions after being charged with eight felonies in Florida, found a landing spot in Seattle. Lions coach Dan Campbell is not.
"No, I'm not surprised," Campbell told reporters on Sunday. "You know, every team's gonna — they're gonna do their due diligence. Just like we would if we were in their seat, like Seattle or New York or whoever, we would have done the same thing, man. Let's see if we can find out whatever we can. We know that, him coming out, we know he's a good kid, he's got ability, he's got all these — we've seen him on tape. So, no, I'm not surprised by that, you know?
"And, look, I have no ill will whatsoever towards Terrion. I wish him the best, man. And I wish everything and everyone the best in that whole situation, man. I, you know, that's — it's the best way to put it."
Campbell also vouched for his former first-rounder.
"Terrion's a good dude, man," Campbell said. "He's a good dude, and it's just — it's an unfortunate — the whole thing's unfortunate. It really is, but it is what it is. There's no way around it."

There has been a lot made by the playmakers that the Oklahoma Sooners have added around quarterback John Mateer. Last season, the Sooners ranked No. 92 in total offense.
A major reason for the struggles was that the team lacked enough playmakers beyond wide receiver Isaiah Sategna. So, the Sooners attacked the transfer portal, adding Virginia Cavaliers wide receiver Trell Harris and Texas Longhorns wide receiver Parker Livingstone. Those two have received a ton of offseason buzz.
However, during fall camp, two sophomores are getting a lot of attention. That is Manny Choice and Elijah Thomas. Head coach Brent Venables spent time in his press conference on Friday, calling out the two young receivers.
"For the Oklahoma Sooners to be the team that we want to be, that we've talked about wanting to be, it includes Manny and Elijah Thomas being dudes," Venables said via SoonerScoop. "Not being freshmen, who, you know, are forgotten. They're now sophomores, like being dudes. Showing up and having some purpose to what they're doing. So far, camp's been good for those guys. They've taken another step from where we were in the spring."
Venables' comments are significant because Oklahoma needs more than just its veteran playmakers to emerge if the offense is going to take a meaningful step forward in 2026.

Dan Campbell does not sound bitter about Terrion Arnold receiving another NFL opportunity.
The former Detroit Lions cornerback has agreed to join the Seattle Seahawks, giving the 2024 first-round pick a fresh start less than two months after Detroit released him. When Campbell was asked Sunday about Arnold landing in Seattle, his answer carried no resentment.
Only disappointment over how everything unfolded.
"Terrion's a good dude," Campbell said. "The whole thing is unfortunate."
Campbell then made his feelings toward Arnold even clearer.

PHOENIX — Colorado Rockies rookie third baseman Kyle Karros, struggling early in the season, sat slumped in front of his locker, his mind soul filled with self-doubt, wondering if he even belonged in the big leagues.
"I remember sitting alone," Karros said, "and I was like, "It's just so frustrating. I know I can play here. I know I'm capable. I just haven't seen any results at this level.'
Rockies teammate Mickey Moniak walked over, put his arm on Karros' shoulder, and Karros innocently asked him if he ever felt that way.
"He's like, 'Dude, you know who you're talking to?'" Karros said.

The New Orleans Saints opened their 2026 preseason with a 24-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. New Orleans carried a 20-6 lead into halftime before being outscored 18-0 over the final two quarters. The result doesn't matter much, especially with most of the Saints' starters sitting out. Individual performances stand out — and several players strengthened their roster cases while others missed an opportunity. Here are the studs and dude from the Saints' preseason opener.
Wilson made a strong impression in his Saints debut. He completed 11 of 16 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown pass to rookie tight end Oscar Delp. He pushed the ball downfield very well, connecting with several receivers for explosive gains, and finished with a 118.0 passer rating.
Rattler completed eight of his 11 attempts, but those completions produced just 42 yards. He also took two sacks and lost a fumble. It could have closed the gap that Rattler had over Wilson in the QB2 competition, which will be something to watch out for over the coming weeks.
The undrafted rookie continued building on his strong training camp with an outstanding preseason debut. Heldman recorded six total tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for loss. He'll continue making a serious push for a place on the 53-man roster.
The Saints failed to score in the second half after taking a 20-6 lead into the break. Hunter Dekkers nearly completed a game-winning drive in the closing minutes, but the Saints just couldn't finish it.

Since the Bruins legend called it a career, many professionals from across the sports world have reacted to the news, including a four-time NBA champion on his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show."
"Basketball fans, y'all suck. Basketball fans suck. And by the way, I am a basketball fan, so you can throw me in that category too. But basketball fans suck," Green proclaimed. "For the last eight to 10 years, all this guy has heard is how bad he sucks, how he don't shoot it well, how he stat pads and how he messes up teams.
"Make no mistake about it, 'Westbrick,' and all the things y'all said about him, and the moment he steps aside, 'Oh man, y'all did Russ wrong. Can't tell me he couldn't be on a team. Wow, how he played the game, gonna miss him.' All these great, beautiful things.
"Why we can't feel that when you gone? It's like when somebody die. Everybody's like, 'Oh man, best dude ever, best woman ever, would take the shirt off their back.' Everybody got all these great things to say, but when that person was living, you don't show that love.

The Detroit Lions have added more help for their injury-riddled running back room.
The Lions signed veteran back Trayveon Williams on Saturday, Aug. 15.
Lions coach Dan Campbell said Kye Robichaux is believed to have broken a bone in his foot in the Lions' preseason-opening loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and Jacob Saylors will miss practice time with an ankle injury.
The Lions went into the Bengals game without Isiah Pacheco, Sione Vaki and Jabari Small because of injuries. Pacheco likely will miss another week of practice, Campbell said, while Vaki (nose) and Small were expected to return Saturday. Starter Jahmyr Gibbs also did not play against the Bengals.
"God bless [Robichaux], dude," Campbell said. "It looks like he may have broke a bone in that foot. He's been so dang just durable all camp, played his heart out. He's another guy that just gives you everything he's got, maximizes everything."
