Gay fashion designer Bob Mackie has died. He was 87.
The legendary fashion and costume designer, famous for dressing people like Cher, Elton John, Diana Ross, and Tina Turner, has passed away, according to a statement released on his social media accounts.
"It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Mr. Bob Mackie passed away today," the statement read. "He lived his 87 years to the fullest, fulfilling his dream of being a Fashion and Costume Designer, which is all he ever wanted to do. His genius and extraordinary designs will live on forever, continuing to bring beauty into this world."

The 2025 Out100 honoree has shaped the cultural zeitgeist for more than six decades. A young Mackie drew the initial sketch for Marilyn Monroe's "Happy Birthday Mr. President" dress when he was working for designer Jean Louis, and went on to dress Elton John in that memorable Donald Duck costume, complete with webbed feet.

Peter Cullen has died at the age of 85. Cullen was a prolific voice actor who played Transformers' Optimus Prime in both the animated and live-action franchises, Winnie the Pooh's Eeyore, the evil K.A.R.R. in Knight Rider, and more. He was also known for voicing the menacing clicking sounds that came out of the monster's mouth in Predator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Cullen's death was announced on Thursday, August 27, but Cullen died on August 26 in his home in Los Angeles, his agent, Kevin Motley, told The Hollywood Reporter. An official cause of death has not been disclosed.
The Canadian actor "passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family — and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide," Cullen's family said in a statement. The family asks "that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty, and always remember 'be strong enough to be gentle.'"
Cullen recently played the voice of Thadeus in Invincible on Prime Video. Cullen also played the voice of King Kong in the 1976 remake. His live-action work in the early years of his career included being the announcer for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour.

Wladimir Klitschko is remembering Hayden Panettiere on what would have been her 37th birthday.The former heavyweight boxing champion shared an emotional tribute to his former fiancée on Aug. 21, five days after the "Nashville" actress died at 36.
"Today is Hayden's birthday. Instead of celebrating the way we had planned, today we celebrate her life, her spirit, and the love she brought into this world," Klitschko wrote on Instagram.

The Office creator admitted, however, that he hasn't changed his stance that marriage isn't necessary, saying rather that he is likely to wed author Jane Fallon in the coming years for tax purposes.

Emilie Kiser has apologized after footage from a family trip showed her 16-month-old son, Teddy, briefly sitting on a boat without a life jacket.
In a TikTok video posted Friday, Aug. 14, the 27-year-old influencer said she and her husband, Brady Kiser, made a mistake. She also said she believes the public discussion is important because it holds people accountable.
Kiser said the moment occurred during a June trip to Mallorca, Spain. Teddy had become fussy, she explained, so she and Brady removed his life jacket for a few moments while they tried to calm him. The footage appeared in a since-deleted vacation video shared by fellow influencer Madi Curtis.
The response has been especially sensitive because Kiser's older son, Trigg, died at age 3 following a drowning in the family's backyard pool in Chandler, Arizona, in May 2025. Since returning to social media after his death, Kiser has repeatedly discussed water safety and the precautions she believes families should take around pools and open water.
"I understand this conversation. I think it is important. It holds people accountable," Kiser said. "I know that I am not perfect. I know that we make mistakes, and all I can say is that I'm sorry, and that I know we made a mistake."

In a post shared on social media, Dash said that he was made aware of Lorosa's latest post detailing his bankruptcy case during a meeting.
