Ciearra said her friends' needs and concerns are never too much for her to handle, and she would much rather have close, familiar friendships than distant ones.
Ciearra began by saying that once she considers someone a friend, they're never too high-maintenance for her because she will make time for them if they need to talk or video chat. Even if she just met someone the day before and they want to see her again, she doesn't mind because, in her view, that's what friends are for.
She said, "No, you're not acting like I'm your boyfriend. No, it's not too high-maintenance. No, I don't feel like you're smothering me." Ciearra continued by explaining that this level of closeness is exactly what she wants in a friendship because she thrives on the connection she has with the people she considers friends.
She explained, "This is literally what I want. I literally want to do life with human beings." She went on to say that she doesn't consider a friendship one where you barely see each other throughout the year. Instead, she believes real friends should naturally see each other more often, and she said she actually looks forward to spending time with her friends.
Ciearra stated, "No, I don't want to see you every quarter of the year. I wanna see you way more than that, actually. Why are we doing quarterly meetings? What is this, a business or a friendship?" Out of this environment, we've normalized an even more extreme parasocial nature between celebrities, influencers, and each other. The new internet landscape involves users ****** yzing and critiquing anyone who chooses to try or put themselves out there, serving as amateur publicists, stylists, and brand-image architects. There's an element of this new world order that's thrilling—our opinions matter! But...what's that phrase about opinions again?
I'd argue that we've critiqued ourselves into mass hysteria, conflating personal opinion with expertise. Just because someone has something to say doesn't mean they actually know what they're saying. There once was a time when people took the time to learn, gain experience, and work in a specific field so they're equipped to handle certain industries. But now, everyone simply thinks they know enough about everything. And it's making fashion and entertainment commentary less fun for everyone involved.

Celebrity comedian Sebastian Maniscalco has responded to this week's uproar in the comedy community over his takeover of a SiriusXM channel that for years supported up-and-coming stand-ups while providing them a minor lifeline in royalty checks. He joins the broadcaster in ****** uring those up in arms over the station's disappearance that the company axed it well before the superstar took over.
In April, Maniscalco's Comedy Radio replaced SiriusXM's Channel 99, the longtime home of the Raw Comedy/Raw Dog channel, a small corner of the satellite radio giant where up-and-coming comedians could not only launch their careers but make a few bucks doing it. SiriusXM replaced the "jukebox channel," which rotated sets from comics and had no host, with one now "curated and headlined by Maniscalco" that features mostly mainstream and well-known talent. Kylie Brewer named the video "Blonde wh!te women tend to overrate their attractiveness." This is the sequel to her earlier video, where she said white men overestimate their looks.
Brewer claims that lots of white women find it hard to understand that other people might not think of them as the ultimate choice.

STOCKHOLM, Oct 8 (Reuters) - Canadian poet and writer Anne Carson won the 2026 **** el Prize in Literature "for her bold and inventive oeuvre that, in playful dialogue with the classical tradition, has created new forms for contemporary literature", the Swedish Academy said on Thursday.
"She was very taken by surprise," said Ingrid ‌Carlberg, permanent secretary of the academy, which awards the prize worth 12 million Swedish crowns ($1.2 million).
"We didn't have so much time to speak, and all she had time to tell ‌me was that she is for the moment in Iceland, where she's listening to the wind."
Carson's work often blends verse, prose, dialogue and translation in a genre-defying mix. Born in Toronto, the 76-year-old has also held Icelandic citizenship since 2022 and has spent considerable time on the Arctic island in recent years.

I think anyone with an Amazon Prime Video subscription probably understands that Alan Ritchson is jacked, whether or not they watched Reacher Season 4. The man is splashed all over the home screen on the streamer between his various movies and his very popular TV show. He's a big, fit guy, and as a gym girlie myself, I know this takes dedication and diligence. I just didn't realize the "high high volume" of reps he was putting in.
Ritchson recently sat down with Thomas DeLauer Podcast, and explain his strategy for staying swole. Some of this involves eating right and throwing in a lot of HIIT cardio with sprints and the Stairmaster, the latter of which does not always go over so well. Some of this is because he literally likes to do four sets at 25 reps of a given exercise.
Gym newbies are often taught to do three sets of eight for each exercise, and maybe push to nine or 10 before going up a plate or free weight. People who are more intermediate or advanced often throw in extra sets or increase reps at a lower weight to keep things interesting, so it's not like a giant surprise Alan Ritchson might do longer rep sets. BUT 100 reps for one exercise is a lot.

OK, if you were on the Internet at all this weekend, you probably heard about Taylor Swift's surprise appearance during her pal Dakota Johnson's SNL episode. British author Jeffrey Archer, who penned a series of best-selling novels, served as a Conservative MP and was convicted of perjury, died suddenly at 86, his publisher HarperCollins said.
Archer died "suddenly and peacefully at his home between writing sessions" on Monday, HarperCollins said.

Megan Thee Stallion had one tiny problem while filming with Daniel Radcliffe: She kept seeing Harry Potter. The rapper admitted she struggled to separate Radcliffe from his iconic role while filming NBC's The Fall and Rise of Reggie ****** ins.
The unexpected fangirl moment came during a packed year for Megan. Alongside her acting work, she made her Broadway debut, navigated a breakup, and continued shaping her delayed Act III album.
Megan discussed the experience in a new interview with Marie Claire. She played Denise, a divorced mail carrier who developed a flirtation with Radcliffe's documentary filmmaker character, Arthur Tobin. "I was on that set, calling that man Harry Potter all day," Megan admitted.
Radcliffe apparently took the teasing well. Megan said their easy friendship helped create their chemistry onscreen. "Daniel made me feel so, so, so comfortable," she said. "We were literally talking and joking the whole time. I think that's why the chemistry was so good." Radcliffe returned the compliment, praising Megan's willingness to jump into acting. "We were honestly so lucky to get Megan to be on the show," he said.
He added that guest stars of her stature usually took longer to join established shows. Radcliffe called her "a total pro, a delight to work with, and really ****** funny." The role added another credit to Megan's expanding acting résumé. She also appeared in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Big Mouth, ****** s: The Musical and Mean Girls.

Megyn Kelly is calling out what she sees as a lack of due process when it comes to Cornell's Chi Phi fraternity brothers amid their Jane Doe gang rape investigation.
On Monday's episode of "The Megyn Kelly Show," the host suggested the public has already made up its mind regarding the seven men named after a former student filed a civil suit claiming she was drugged, ******* aulted and gang-raped by them in 2024.
"These young men have had their names plastered all over every major newscast in America for a week now," Kelly said. "The mob has decided they're guilty and ought to be put to death, which is literally what we are hearing in several circles online without a trial, without a due process chance to defend themselves. Not in a kangaroo court on a college campus, which is a joke, but in an actual court, either civil or now it's looking more and more likely criminal."
She added: "This is deeply immoral. There are two sides to every story. You don't know, and I don't know what happened inside of Cornell that night. We know that there's been a story told by Jane Doe. We know that from her own story, the DA – a Democrat – said there's no case here… And we know it took her two years to file a civil suit… Now her lawyers are all over the television, ripping on the DA."
Kelly is not the only news personality to question the due process of the case. "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin also spoke out wondering if the men's names should not be going up across a number of news networks.
