Karen Huger reveals that Andy Cohen was one of her biggest supporters while she was in prison.
At the premiere of Real Housewives of Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, Huger shared that Cohen spoke with her as she was behind bars, expressing her excitement to reconnect with her Bravo family.
"Bravo stood by me when I went through a lot," Huger told E! News. "And I often credit the courage that I had from the training I had as a Housewife to make it through and to get sober and to be clean."
"Andy was one of the few people that I allowed to talk to me inside while I was paying my dues," she continued.
"He was so lovely and so supportive," Huger added. "I adore him. I love him. I am so happy to be a part of his team and his family."

After a five-year hiatus, Notre Dame and USC will renew their college football rivalry beginning with the 2030 season.
The two programs agreed to a new four-year deal, according to multiple reports. It will begin with the teams playing a Week 1 matchup in Los Angeles and then kicking off the season in South Bend the following season.
USC reportedly preferred to play Notre Dame earlier in the season, before entering Big Ten conference play. The games will be played on Aug. 31, 2030 and Aug. 30, 2031.
The 2030 and 2031 dates opened up for Notre Dame when Indiana reportedly canceled its previously scheduled home-and-home series, The Athletic's Pete Sampson reported. Those games were originally agreed to in 2021, preceding current head coach Curt Cignetti taking over the Hoosiers program and winning the 2025 national championship.
"USC's historic rivalry with Notre Dame holds a special place in the history of college football, and we are happy to resume a series that means so much to the entire Trojan Family," USC athletics director Jen Cohen said in a statement.

Mired in an atrocious 2026 season after falling apart last year, the New York Mets are likely to be big sellers ahead of Major League Baseball's trade deadline on Monday, Aug. 3.
Despite the highest payroll in baseball, the Mets are in last place in the NL East but have a handful of high-end players to trade, including starting pitchers Freddy Peralta and Clay Holmes, as well as relievers Luke Weaver and Brooks Raley.

Elizabeth Hurley had never met Miley Cyrus before beginning her relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus, but Miley's work had already been a familiar part of life with her son, Damian Hurley.
During a July 27 appearance on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live, Andy Cohen asked whether Hurley had met Billy Ray's daughter. "I have met Miley. She's adorable," Hurley replied.
Hurley added that she has been fortunate to meet some of Billy Ray's other children and described them as "fabulous." Her introduction to Miley, however, followed years of seeing her on television and hearing her music at home.
Damian grew up watching Hannah Montana and later became a fan of Miley's pop career. Hurley said that history had already convinced her that she would like Miley before the two ever met.

While appearing on Sirius XM's Andy Cohen Live, the Bedazzled actress, 61, revealed Miley was a well-known name in her house for years prior to her becoming her boyfriend's daughter. She recalled, "I'd never met her, but my son used to love Hannah Montana, so he loved Father Montana," speaking of her son Damian, who she shares with businessman Steve Bing.
"He loved Miley too, so I always knew who she was, and when he was a young teen, he used to love all her music," she continued. "I used to have to watch her music videos, like "Wrecking Ball," a zillion times with him, so we were very familiar with who she was, and I knew I was going to like her."

Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus are two peas in a country pod.
Hurley, during a recent interview on SiriusXM's "Andy Cohen Live," said the couple – who have been together nearly a year and a half – are "remarkably similar in strangely different ways."
"We've both been in showbiz our whole lives. We've both lived out of suitcases our entire lives, so that's very normal for us," she said. "You're not reliable for anything because work comes first, so we've both been that person for a very long time, and that really helps. We're both also, again, even though we've always both worked in the cities, we're both country mice at heart."
Hurley, who grew up in a market town in Hampshire, England, and Cyrus, who is from Flatwoods, Kentucky, share a desire for a quiet life, she said.
"We like bird watching. We've got binoculars. We've got long lenses, and we watch 'Birds of Prey' a lot," she continued. "I do the gardening. He sits under a tree and plays his guitar, and we couldn't be happier. May sound odd to some people, but for me, it's bliss."

The Braves reliever was left in to twist against New York's lineup long after the outcome had been decided, and by the time Atlanta finally mercy-killed the outing, Thomas had been shelled for 11 earned runs — the most any reliever has allowed in a major-league game in more than half a decade — according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.
His final line read: 2 2/3 innings, 10 hits, 11 runs, five walks, two strikeouts, three home runs, 78 pitches.
As Gary Cohen mentioned on the SNY broadcast of New York's 14-3 win, Atlanta had ground through five consecutive one-run games in the days before Monday, and rather than burn another arm in a game that was already lost, the Braves made the call to sacrifice Thomas to the baseball gods.
The 28-year-old left-hander — a Tifton, Georgia, native and Georgia Tech product who made his MLB debut with the Brewers back in 2025 — had only been summoned from the minors about two days prior. He's never been treated as a top prospect, and he entered Monday having not thrown more than 70 pitches in a single appearance since he was a starter for St. Louis' Triple-A Memphis affiliate back in September 2023 — more than 1,000 days ago.

NEW YORK — David Stearns has barely seen all of the members of the team he constructed on the field at the same time, but that reality is fleeting.
As injuries mounted and underperformance permeated the Mets in 2026, the looming reality that the club might never meet its grand expectations has come to pass. And now, with the Aug. 3 trade deadline a little more than a week away, the stark realization of an overhaul cast a pall on the Mets season.
"I think we have to be open-minded. We've been very clear, Steve (Cohen's) been very clear that we expect to compete in 2027 — we have to keep that in mind," Stearns said. "We also have to make moves that that we believe are right for the organization, and so we're sitting here nine, 10 days out for the deadline, and we're not going to close any paths down right now.
Now, the team that Stearns pieced together this offseason with the belief that a World Series could be attainable will be systematically dismantled. With two months left in the season, the sights have turned toward the future.
"This season didn't go as we anticipated. It's extremely disappointing," Stearns said. "I am extremely disappointed that we are in this situation, but I am also very aware we are in this situation. It's my job to do what's in the best interest of the organization right now."

Ryan Cohen built Chewy into a top online pet retailer and sold it to PetSmart. He then rebuilt GameStop Corp. (NYSE:GME)'s balance sheet after the meme-stock era. Now he wants to buy a company roughly four times GameStop's size. He stated in a recent interview with Bloomberg:

It then converted 39 million more shares from put/call options on July 17. This follows the 5% stake GameStop disclosed in May alongside an unsolicited offer to buy eBay for about $125 per share, valuing the deal at roughly $56 billion. eBay's board rejected the offer within days, calling it "neither credible nor attractive" and noting concerns about GameStop's financing and the logic of the combination.
That raises a simple question. Can a company one-fourth the size of its target actually complete this deal and swallow a giant (eBay)? And if it can't, does building a near-10% stake still make sense for GameStop shareholders, or is Cohen spending real capital on a bid he can't close?

Golesh returns to the SEC after serving as Tennessee's offensive coordinator and tight ends coach from 2021-22.
He left the Vols to become USF's head coach from 2023-25. The former Tennessee ******* istant led the Bulls to a 23-15 (14-10 AAC) record and two bowl game wins.

July 17 (Reuters) - Videogame retailer GameStop owns nearly 10% of e-commerce company eBay, the company said in a regulatory filing late on Friday, signaling its intent to push ahead with plans to buy eBay even after its unsolicited offer was rejected.
GameStop said it owns 43.4 million outstanding shares of eBay, or 9.8%, marking a dramatic increase in ownership from early May when GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen told eBay's board chairman it wanted to buy the company for roughly $56 billion.
At that time he said GameStop had "accumulated a 5% economic stake" through derivatives and beneficial ownership.
Over the last weeks GameStop turned its economic stake into common shares. Last month it bought 3.5 million eBay shares for roughly $381 million and on Friday it settled 39 million eBay shares from put/call pairs, the filing said.

Wimbledon got an unexpected blast from the past when Sacha Baron Cohen showed up at the men's singles final as Ali G — gold chain swinging and yellow shades on. The US dollar (DX-Y.NYB) has had a strong start to the year. Driven by booming foreign demand for US tech exposure and expectations of higher-for-longer interest rates, the greenback has appreciated roughly 2.5% against a basket of other major currencies.
Bank of America believes the US currency has more room to run in the second half of 2026.
The bank's foreign exchange desk sees three primary drivers for dollar outperformance: conflict in the Middle East, the AI boom, and a higher-for-longer interest rate outlook.
First, the war in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz are set to keep geopolitical tensions high and oil prices higher. Even after a sharp decline in June, futures on Brent crude (BZ=F) and US WTI crude (CL=F) are still up roughly 40% on the year — and a new wave of conflict is driving them higher still.

On the company's earnings call, Chief Financial Officer Amit Muni said Cohen & Steers generated adjusted earnings per share of $0.85, up from $0.79 in the first quarter and $0.73 in the year-earlier quarter. Net income was $44 million, rising 8% sequentially and 18% from the second quarter of last year.

Jul. 9—CHAMPAIGN — Greg Cohen is quick to point out the challenge of succeeding Scott Davis as Champaign Central's boys' tennis coach.
But the next leader of the Maroons' program is equally energetic about where the team can go.
"This is the best program I've walked into," Cohen said.
Cohen — who claimed The News-Gazette's 2026 boys' tennis Coach of the Year award after guiding St. Thomas More to a sectional ****** le and a tie for 11th place in the Class 1A state tournament — would know a thing or two about that.
He was drawn to the Maroons' opening in large part because of his background with public schools. He played at Rock Island before graduating in 1981 and taught and coached at Warren Township for 32 years before retiring in 2019.
But the next leader of the Maroons' program is equally energetic about where the team can go.

We've seen a lot of long, frustrating losses this season. Last night's 16-12 offensive barrage was unique even for the 2026 Mets. Following that monstrosity of a baseball game, tonight's affair was blissfully, mercifully fairly normal in comparison. It was a fairly low-scoring evening until a sudden offensive barrage in the eighth inning, and the Mets came away with a 6-2 victory.
The Mets got the scoring started early against Royals opener Steven Cruz, as A.J. Ewing followed his four-hit barrage last night with another homer to lead off the game for the Amazins. It was Ewing's seventh major league home run—and his first in the leadoff spot—and it quickly gave the Mets a 1-0 lead. That would prove to be the only run the bats would bring home for quite a while, as bulkman Randy Dobnak came on in the second and would go on to shut the Mets down for 5.2 scoreless innings. They came close in the bottom of third when Francisco Lindor socked a ball to deep right field with runners on first and second with two outs, but Tyler Tolbert made a terrific leaping catch against the wall to end the inning.
Thankfully for the Mets, Christian Scott was able to maintain that one-run lead during his start tonight. While Scott has overall had a pretty solid 2026, going deep into games has been an issue for him—as mentioned by Gary Cohen on the broadcast, he had not made it through five innings in any of the past three starts. Tonight, he managed to make it through five scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and one walk while striking out five. The most meaningful threat against him came in the top of the second when he surrendered a two-out walk and single, respectively, before inducing a pop fly to second base from the previously unstoppable Tolbert. All told, it was an encouraging outing from one of the few bright spots in the team's starting rotation.
Unfortunately, the Mets quickly surrendered the lead when Scott exited the game. Tobias Myers was just recalled from the minors today, and he came on for the top of the sixth. He gave up a one-out double to Jac Caglianone, and after a groundout to third brought him within one out of getting out of the inning, Salvador Perez lined a 3-2 pitch to left field to bring the tying run home. Thus, Scott would receive a no-decision despite his solid start, and we were square even once more.
Myers got out of that inning and managed to toss a scoreless top of the seventh. Brooks Raley then came on and contributed a scoreless inning of his own. The Mets' bats, meanwhile, continued to look hapless following the leadoff homer. Reliever Alex Lange came on for the eighth inning and quickly recorded the first two outs, and it looked like it was going to be yet another scoreless frame. Then Lindor lined a single to the outfield to break up a lengthy hitless stretch. Carson Benge followed that with a walk, and then Jorge Polanco hit a dribbler to first base and made it safely when Caglionone made an errant toss to the pitch

First and foremost, it shouldn't. There are few shortstops in the league better than Lindor when he's healthy. Last season, he slashed .267/.346/.466 with an .811 OPS, 31 homers, 86 RBIs, and 31 stolen bases in 160 games played. He was a 5.8-WAR player. The year before, he was a 6.8-WAR player. He also won't be a free agent until after the 2031 season. There's no reason for the Mets to move on from one of the best shortstops in the game, but sports radio host Mike Francesca went deep down the rabbit hole and claimed that the Mets are going to try "very, very hard to trade Lindor."

And then they went out and brought in a guy who more than doubled his salary, which hit him right between the eyes, and I’m going to tell you something, it would have hit a lot of stars between the eyes. … So, where does that leave you? Comedian Dave Chappelle said Friday that he understood why President Donald Trump "gets mad" at CNN during a live interview with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, as the network counted down to America's 250th birthday in New York City's Times Square.
During the segment, Cohen asked Chappelle why he was proud to be an American and how he viewed the country.
"Boy, that's a loaded question," Chappelle said. "Now I see why Trump gets mad at y'all all the time. Why would you ask me that?"

The San Diego Padres did not just lose to the Chicago Cubs. That’s the easy headline. The attention grabber. What happened is they got embarrassed so badly that their MLB trade deadline conversation needs to change. A 23-3 loss is not normal. It was the worst loss in franchise history, and it came at the end of a series sweep. When a supposed contender gets dragged like that in July, somebody in the front office needs to stop acting like this is business as usual
The Padres love big swings. That is their brand. Star power, aggressive trades, wild roster bets, all of it. But there comes a point where bravado starts looking really stupid. Maybe, just maybe, San Diego should not be buying. Maybe the Padres should be honest enough to ask whether this team is actually worth adding to.

That does not mean a full teardown. **** ody is saying to trade every recognizable player and start handing out apology letters to season-ticket holders. But the Padres need to look at this roster coldly. If they are not built to survive a real playoff race, then chasing one more shiny deadline piece just because it feels aggressive would be a mistake.
This is where smart teams separate themselves from loud teams. A loud team reacts to humiliation by making a desperate trade. A smart team asks why the humiliation happened in the first place.
The Padres love big swings. That is their brand. Star power, aggressive trades, wild roster bets, all of it. But there comes a point where bravado starts looking really stupid. Maybe, just maybe, San Diego should not be buying. Maybe the Padres should be honest enough to ask whether this team is actually worth adding to.

That does not mean a full teardown. **** ody is saying to trade every recognizable player and start handing out apology letters to season-ticket holders. But the Padres need to look at this roster coldly. If they are not built to survive a real playoff race, then chasing one more shiny deadline piece just because it feels aggressive would be a mistake.
This is where smart teams separate themselves from loud teams. A loud team reacts to humiliation by making a desperate trade. A smart team asks why the humiliation happened in the first place.

The Mets were blown out in the finale against the Blue Jays to drop the series. Starter Freddy Peralta was awful again putting the Mets behind early. The offense didn’t score until the game was well out of hand and all told it was just another sloppy loss in a season full of them.

With the Mets' 2026 season having gone completely off the rails, the owner of the team is standing by his president of baseball operations. Steve Cohen was a guest on a podcast, and while being interviewed, he offered up a variety of responses that offered support to Stearns just a few days after the organization fired manager Carlos Mendoza.
In supporting Stearns, Cohen highlighted the need for the organization to be able to commit to a long-term plan and mentioned that it would be tough to attract people to the club if he were to fire someone like Stearns for short-term plans. He also made a point that Stearns was in charge when the Mets made it to the National League Championship Series in 2024.
Stearns is in the third season of a five-year, $50 million contract as the team's head of baseball ops. The Mets are 208-202 thus far in the regular season under his leadership.

The current Major League Baseball Collective Bargaining Agreement expires on December 1st. This is the train light at the end of the tunnel that owners, players, and fans have seen coming since the last CBA was signed in 2022. Every interested party fully expects that the owners will lock out the players when the clock strikes midnight that day, and a long, cold winter may ensue.
Unlike in previous negotiations, MLB dealmakers have begun sending over their proposals considerably earlier in the process. The first one landed in late May, more than six months prior to the deal’s expiration. It is hard to know the actual reason for the early disclosures, but it may be simply to stake their position before the players union can frame the issues.
Regardless of motive, the proposals that have come out of MLB’s New York headquarters have been vast and aggressive, and have landed with a thud in both clubhouses around the league, and with people who cover the sport for a living. The starting point for the entire negotiation is that the owners want Major League Baseball to join all of the other major sports with an ironclad salary cap.
