The Duke of Sussex's searingly honest memoir, Spare, became the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever when his tell-all tale about the royal family was published in 2023.
His explosive autobiography gave royal watchers a very intimate insight into all his personal goings-on, including introducing his future wife Meghan Markle to the royal family.
Although Meghan's first meeting with the late monarch was "pleasant", Prince Harry confessed his frustration at some of the circumstances.
"There was some bloke standing to the other side of Granny and I thought: Bogey at twelve o'clock," he wrote, referring to a friend of Sarah Ferguson. "Meg looked to me for a clue as to his identity, but I couldn't help – I'd never seen him before.
"[Princess Eugenie] whispered into my ear that he was a friend of her mum's. Ah, OK. I looked at him hard, 'Brilliant. Congratulations on being present for one of the most consequential moments of my life.'"

Last Saturday night in Minneapolis, the Boston Cannons walked off the field with a win, a spot in the semifinals and one game standing between them and a trip to the U.S. Bank Championship.
Connor and Colin Kirst had plenty to celebrate. Then their family group chat started going off.
Their younger brother, CJ Kirst, was among the first to chime in.
"See you next weekend."
It was the Philadelphia Waterdogs attackman's way of saying congratulations.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Jonas Urbig has not often had a misstep in his time with the club.
A young, eager, and talented player, Urbig might have had his first bout with letting a reporter get under his skin.
It is impossible to know the tone of the question, the background of how it was asked, or any history, given the context we have access to, but Urbig was asked whether something could have been done about VfL Osnabrück's goal after the game.
"Have you ever been a goalkeeper? He shoots, the ball drifts a bit and hits the top corner. I'm very, very self critical, but in this case congratulations to him. That was unstoppable," Urbig said (as captured by iMiaSanMia).
Maybe that was an innocent response and genuine. More often than not, though, it can come across as more of a "how dare you ask me that?" kind of response.

A subtle smile played across Vincent Kompany's face as the final whistle blew at Bremer Brücke late on Wednesday evening. Joshua Kimmich gave a thumbs-up to the travelling fans, whilst Harry Kane glanced down briefly and seemed content in the moment. Then the FC Bayern players high-fived one another and headed towards the away supporters' block.
Job done at VfL Osnabrück. Through to the second round of the DFB Cup. That was exactly what was at stake in FC Bayern's 4–1 win against the newly promoted Bundesliga 2 side. The record cup winners showed composure and poise at a venue where even favourites can sometimes stumble.
Going behind early on due to a wonder goal from Robin Meißner proved to be the perfect stress test (5th minute). A shot that thundered into the top corner sent the stadium into a frenzy, and briefly gave the underdogs hope that they could perhaps cause an upset. But the Munich side remained calm and didn't let that moment unsettle them.
"It flew right into the top corner – congratulations to Robin Meißner on that goal," said Jonas Urbig after the game. The FCB goalkeeper had been given a vote of confidence by coach Kompany and immediately found himself in for a cup night that demanded more than just taking care of business. "The first goal was a stunner. You know, of course, that it can be tricky here, and then a goal like that goes in within the first ten minutes. It was absolutely incredible. But we kept our cool, played a solid second half and are ultimately very happy," concluded Kompany.
The response was crucial. Bayern needed a moment to regroup, but quickly found their way back to their strengths. Their passing and positional play looked composed, they kept up the pressure, and Kimmich's well-thought-out passes consistently added structure to the game. Up front, Kane provided a swift response with his equaliser (18'), before Tom Bischof turned the game around before the break (24').

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — ******* eX has pulled off its biggest salvage operation yet, recovering its most recently launched Starship from the Indian Ocean.
Elon Musk's company is now in the process of shipping Starship back to its home base in Texas, a trip expected to take several months. ******* eX shared pictures of the recovery effort near Christmas Island late this week.
Starship — the biggest and most powerful rocket in the world — blasted off July 24 from Starbase, Texas. It was the 13th test flight of a full-up Starship, but unlike all the others, it survived the hourlong ******* e-skimming flight and remained floating and intact.
"Congratulations to the entire ******* eX Recovery team for battling through challenging conditions to give our engineers access to a wealth of data to continue rapidly developing Starship," the company said via X.
Starship is how Musk intends to get people and equipment to Mars, where he hopes to build a city. First up, though, is the moon. NASA is counting on Starship as well as Jeff Bezos' Blue Moon lander to return astronauts to the lunar surface as early as 2028.

Hall of Famer Troy Aikman has spent his life surrounded by elite stardom, crossing paths with some of the biggest names on the planet. So when Stallone announced that his eldest daughter, Sophia, got engaged to her boyfriend, Michael Sheehan, Aikman chimed in with his wishes for the Stallone family.
"Congratulations, Sophia!❤️," Aikman commented on Stallone's Instagram post. "And you too, champ????."
On Friday, Sophia revealed the happy news on her Instagram, sharing pictures from Michael's proposal. The two posed for the camera with Sophia flaunting the diamond on her finger.

An eventful Week 2 of the high school season saw some wet bulb delays, a coach get his first-ever victory, and a Sun Valley sweep.
Here is "The Friday Five" — that's what we call our new feature rounding up the five most important things that happened in Week 2.
Congratulations to Nick King. The former Palm Springs high athletic standout and now first-year head coach at Shadow Hills picked up the first victory of his coaching career Friday. The Knights' defense solved the Wing-T offense of Palo Verde Valley and the offense got on track as Shadow Hills pulled away for a 26-6 victory. Damian Walls had a pair of rushing touchdowns in the win. King and Company will have a short week and a tough task in Week 3 as they play at Yucaipa on Thursday. But tonight, Coach King can go ahead and exhale and celebrate the fact that he's a winning high school head coach.
Last week, the Rancho Mirage defense bent, but rarely broke, as they turned away and shut down a solid Yucca Valley offense. This week, the Rancho Mirage defense bent, but rarely broke, as they turned away and shut down a solid Coachella Valley offense. The Rattlers flummoxed their second straight DVL team and have found a nice mix of offense and defense early this season. There's been a lot of talk about the Rattlers sophomore class and that was on display in this one as the four touchdowns were scored by four different sophomores. Wow! Bentley Arredondo, Jadarius Hester, Reid Keane and Jayden Ayers all scored. That's 2-0 for the Rattlers and that's a good feeling.
The Blackhawks took their usual opening week bye week and there was absolutely no rust to be found as La Quinta ran around, over and through Yucca Valley for a 58-28 victory. The only thing that slowed them down was a wet bulb delay to start the game as La Quinta showed off its balanced offense. Talented tailback Colton LaCrone did his thing with 136 yards rushing and two TDs on 16 carries, while QB Mason Flores threw for 187 yards and three touchdown passes. The defense did its part getting a safety from Dominyck Gonzalez and a pick six from Alfredo Castro. Sure there was some sloppy play that gave coach Juan Ruiz something to talk about during film sessions, but he said it best "Even if there was some sloppy moments, nothing beats starting off the year with a W." One note for Yucca Valley in a mostly forgettable night, Aiden Pope did return a kickoff for a touchdown.

Before impressing at Texas and becoming one of the NFL's best running backs, Atlanta Falcons superstar Bijan Robinson became one of the greatest high school athletes the state of Arizona has ever seen.
Robinson set an Arizona state record at Salpointe Catholic, rushing for 7,036 yards and scoring 114 total touchdowns during his time as a Lancer. On Thursday, the school announced that Robinson's No. 5 jersey will soon be retired:
"We're thrilled to announce that Salpointe will honor Bijan Robinson '20 by retiring his iconic No. 5 football jersey at our next school **** embly," the school announced via Instagram. "Even more exciting, Bijan will be joining us on campus for this special celebration! We can't wait to welcome him back to Salpointe and honor the incredible legacy he's created both on and off the field. Congratulations, Bijan. Once a Lancer, always a Lancer."
Robinson rushed for over 2,000 yards in each of his final three seasons. Earning Gatorade Arizona Player of the Year honors during his senior year, the class of 2020 standout rushed for 2,235 yards and 38 touchdowns while also hauling in 12 passes for 314 yards and three more scores. He averaged over 17 yards per carry that year and averaged more than 13 YPC across his 46-game career with the Lancers.
The 5-foot-11, 215-pounder was no under-the-radar recruit, either. He finished as the No. 16 overall prospect and No. 2 running back in the 2020 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.

Fox bolted a camera to the observation level of the Washington Monument, hung another one off a 70-foot crane, and scattered roughly 90 cameras around the National Mall for what the network billed as the most ambitious live motorsports production it has ever attempted. The payoff arrived Tuesday: the Freedom 250 Grand Prix averaged 3,282,000 viewers, peaking at 3,482,000 between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. ET. That is the largest audience any NTT INDYCAR SERIES race has pulled outside the Indianapolis 500 since Champ Car and the IRL finally stopped bleeding each other out in 2008.
Congratulations are in order. So is a second look at the arithmetic.
Four days before the green flag, IndyCar published its season-to-date figure through 14 races: 1,731,000 viewers per race, up 16 percent on 2025 and 53 percent on NBC's final season in 2024. After Washington, the same metric through 15 races reads 1,875,000 — up 32 percent and 70 percent respectively.
Read that again. A single Sunday doubled the series' reported year-over-year growth rate. That isn't a rising tide. That's one wave hitting a shallow denominator.

UFC's Contender Series has now delivered one of the greatest upsets in MMA history — at least in terms of the odds.
In the show's Season 10, Week 4 main event on Tuesday, -6000 betting favorite Bella Mir — the much-ballyhooed daughter of UFC legend Frank Mir — suffered the shocking first loss of her professional MMA career to +1500 underdog Alex Apodaca via a unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). With the win, Apodaca earned herself a UFC contract.
Mir, 23, has long been considered a blue-chip combat sports prospect under the tutelage of her former UFC heavyweight champion father. UFC CEO Dana White, who's known Bella since she was a child, spoke openly in the lead-up to Tuesday's Contender Series fight about the possibility of the young phenom competing at the 2028 Olympics while pursue **** les in multiple TKO properties: The UFC, UFC BJJ and Zuffa Boxing.
"Alex, what you had to face tonight [was different]," White said following the result. "Now, I'm very proud of myself that in 10 years of doing [Contender Series], I have never had any bias. I don't know anything about anybody coming in. I was overly biased on this fight. I've known Bella for a long time, four years ago we started mapping out her plan and who she was going to be, and you came in tonight [and changed all of that].
"Unbelievable upset. Congratulations, you're in the UFC."

"Unbelievable upset. Congratulations, you're in the UFC."

When seen from the safe, comfortable vantage point of the living room sofa, it all seems so simple. Frank Mir was a UFC heavyweight champion with a long, decorated career in fight sports. His daughter Bella, being of his genetic lineage, also seemed to have some natural aptitude for the mixing of the martial arts, so it was only a matter of time until we saw her on the way to the UFC.
So when some people see her fighting on this Tuesday's edition of Dana White's Contender Series, they might think nothing of it. Pure logical progression, right? You'd think so, at least, if you've never spoken to a professional fighter about this very issue.
Many years ago I was having drinks with what you might call a mid-level UFC fighter whose wife had recently given birth to their first child. I offered my congratulations, like you do, and then without thinking much about it made an offhand remark about how maybe one day I'd cover one of his son's UFC fights the same way I'd covered the father's.
What I remember now is the look he gave me before he told me, in a tone of voice that said there was to be no joking on this subject, "That's honestly my worst nightmare."
Since I learn nothing, a couple years later I made the same mistake with former two-division UFC champion Jon Jones. Standing around the gym in Albuquerque, making conversation, I asked which of his daughters had the best chance of becoming a champion fighter some day.

Entertainment giant The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS)'s shares are down by 9% over the past year and by 3.6% year-to-date. One aspect of the firm that Cramer regularly discusses is its cruise ship business. For instance, in August 2025, the CNBC TV host predicted that The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) would make "a lot of money" with its cruise ship business. As the firm's new CEO previously ran its cruise business, naturally, Cramer had a lot to say about The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) on August 17th:
"I have been a big believer in Josh [D'Amaro]. First, congratulations to Chris Berman, ESPN legend. . .it's a good example of what, they have this ESPN and it's been, somehow been an albatross. I think that's ridiculous. They have all this great film they do these great things. Now Josh ran the cruise ships, if they could double the cruise ships then the numbers would go up big. James Gorman put them in a terrific situation in the interim. Do I want to own Disney? We owned it, it's very hard to own that stock because it's kept down by the cohort. The cohort is so miserable that you keep thinking, I don't want to get ahead of myself here because oh man, everybody else is doing terribly."
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) is in the unique position in the media and entertainment industry since it owns both legacy networks and has set up formidable digital platforms as well. Consequently, the debate for the firm also covers these facets. On the bullish front, The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS)'s unified streaming platforms are scaling up nicely. During its fiscal third quarter, the firm streaming revenue grew by 11% to $5.53 billion, as it added that streaming achieved a 13% operating margin. Additionally, and as Cramer loves to talk about, the firm's Experiences division, which covers the cruise business, is also performing well. Experiences revenue jumped by 10% to a record $9.97 billion. As a cherry on top, Toy Story 5 also crossed $1 billion at the global box office and allowed The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) to fire on multiple cylinders.
Yet, overall revenue in Q2 missed ******* yst estimates and as the firm does not provide a streaming revenue breakdown, it is difficult to determine whether the growth was a result of price increases or subscriber growth. Additionally, while the Experiences division remains a standout, its revenue is not secular and leads to concerns of causing a downturn for the entire business should The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) come to rely on it too much. Not to mention, Experiences is also a capital intensive business which ends up affecting cash flows and inflation and discounting cutting operating margins to below 24% could lead to weakness. To sum it up, while The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) is creating tailwinds from streaming and experiences, cyclicality for parks and continued troubles with linear offerings can create headwinds. Considering this, perhaps Cramer believes that increase cruise revenu

Dwayne Johnson is excited to be named a Disney Legend, but his children might feel more strongly about the occasion than he does. In a new interview, the "Game Plan" actor reflected on receiving the honorary **** le from the famed network and movie studio and said his children loved that he now gets a special perk. The rare moment comes just weeks after Disney announced "Moana 3" had begun production.

Johnson received the honor on August 16 at the Disney Legends Awards ceremony. Among the inductees were Anne Hathaway, who has earned her fair share of Disney roles, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and the Jonas Brothers. At the ceremony, Disney said that the recipients are those who "for generations have defined Disney across entertainment, storytelling, and experiences."
Johnson spoke with PEOPLE at the ceremony and said that his children were probably more excited about him being named a Disney Legend than he was. "They said, 'Congratulations, Daddy, you're a Disney legend. What does it mean?'" Johnson said. "And I sent them back a video, and I was like, 'It means we get free tickets to Disney for life.'"

Only one victor didn't impress DanaWhite and the Ultimate Fighting Championship matchmakers on Week 1 ofDana White's Contender Series 2026.
JosephKropschot (9-3) opened the action in a middleweight outingagainst JonathanKunneman (10-1). Kropschot dislocated Kunneman's elbow with anarmbar in the final seconds of the fight. He earned a unanimousdecision win after his opponent refused to tap. Kropschot's intentto finish was enough for White to give him a UFC contract.
"When he got that armbar, I said, 'I'm gonna give him a shot.' 31years old, he went for the finish. I'm always looking for guys tofinish," White said. "That fight should have been finished… Joseph, you went for it and you swayed me and changed my mind.Congratulations."
TomPagliarulo (11-2) was the second fighter to earn a contract onWeek 1. The featherweight prospect finished AnaniasMulumba (10-4) with vicious ground-and-pound in the finalseconds of the fight.
"Thomas, you were in a dog fight; turned it on in the third round, and finished a really tough kid," White said. "Congratulations, you're in."
Former Cage Fury Fighting Championships flyweight champion Bilal Hasan(9-0) was a -5000 favorite going into his matchup against MridulSaikia (9-2). Hassan absolutely justified the odds bydispatching Saikia in 45 seconds to earn his UFC contract. Whitecan't wait for Hasan's first UFC bout.
"This is an absolute no-brainer. Even with the ton of hype, absolutely lived up to it," the UFC CEO said. "When you're thebiggest favorite in the history of the Contender Series, 10 years. That's how you treat somebody, and you absolutely did. I'm excitedto see your future. I'm really pumped for your first fight in theUFC."
AbeAlsaghir (9-0) earned a split decision win in a lightweighttilt against FabrizioEscarrega (9-2). While both fighters went toe-to-toe, Whitebelieves neither fighter stood out to earn a contract. The UFC headhoncho also disagreed with the judges' scorecards on this one.
"I actually thought this was a dog fight between two tough guyswith great records," White recalled. "And the third round was whereI was looking to see who was going to be my guy, and it neverhappened. And I don't agree with the judges. I don't think you wonthat fight. I think the judges absolutely blew that decision. And Ijust didn't see anything that I was looking for."
AnthonyWint (7-0) earned the final contract of the night with afirst-round stoppage win over MatthewAdams (6-3). The heavyweight powerhouse took hardly over 30seconds to reverse a takedown and rain brutal ground-and-pound tosecure the stoppage.
"Anthony, you're a f*cking tank, my friend… Holy sh*t!" White said."I didn't get to see much, but what I got to see was pretty nasty. And I have a long history with your coach, who has nothing but goodthings to say about you. Welcome to the UFC."

Erling Haaland was among the first Manchester City players to reach out to Enzo Maresca and offer his congratulations upon succeeding Pep Guardiola. However, the Norwegian striker is unlikely to be leading the side out too frequently under the new manager — and it's precisely because he finds the back of the net so often.
Haaland was handed the City captaincy following January 2025, when he put pen to paper on a new deal tying him to the club for nearly a decade. The 26-year-old has developed into a genuine leader over the past season and remains one of just a handful of players still at the club from their Treble-winning campaign three years ago.
New boss Maresca will be leaning on Haaland not only for his presence in the dressing room but also for his prolific output in front of goal. A greater emphasis will be put on getting the ball wide so that City's wide players can beat their markers and deliver into the box, which should generate even more scoring opportunities for the No.9, as per the Manchester Evening News.
