La Stampa reports that part of the Juventus dressing room is unhappy with Luciano Spalletti's methods, particularly because the Tuscan coach spends too much time talking, which reduces the intensity of training.
Juventus are preparing for a crucial Serie A match against Napoli, and coach Spalletti has ordered the team into a two-day training retreat.

The Italian tactician is on the brink, having only earned 14 points in nine Serie A games so far this season, losing two of the last three games.
On Thursday, after a 2-0 loss to Genoa, CEO Giovanni Carnevali gave a stern dressing-room speech, asking the players to take responsibility for the poor results so far.

Former Texas A&M football players delivered several notable performances in Week 7 of the NFL season, including a breakout game from Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion and a career milestone for Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Cashius Howell.
Concepcion recorded career highs with eight receptions for 129 yards in Cleveland's 27-24 victory over the Tennessee **** ans. He also added 23 rushing yards on three carries, for 152 total yards from scrimmage. His performance earned him a nomination for the NFL's Rookie of the Week award.

Three academy players scored their first goals for Athletic Club's senior side inside four minutes as Edin Terzić's team beat Prat 6-1 in the Copa del Rey. The late burst came from substitutes in a side rotated with the Basque derby in mind.
On Thursday 29 October, Athletic met Prat in the Copa del Rey round of 128. The tie was played at the Estadi La Feixa Llarga in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. Its closing stages belonged to Athletic's academy.
Each of the late scorers had come off the bench. Selton Sánchez finished the night with the sixth goal, teed up by Vizcay, whose own strike had started the flurry.
Aritz Conde earned an 8.2 rating from the data provider for his half-hour on the pitch. Imga, aged just 17, had made his first-team debut alongside Vizcay against Getafe the previous Sunday.
EFE reported that Athletic picked a starting XI shaped by the coming Basque derby, giving chances to players such as Yohaneko, Sannadi and Nico Serrano. Those changes did not slow the visitors.

Michael Carrick has insisted he is "not surprised" to remain in the Manchester United dugout despite the club enduring their most disastrous start to a league season in four decades. The former England international saw his position come under intense scrutiny this week following a dismal 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Bournemouth.
Carrick looked certain to face the axe following Sunday's humiliating loss against the Cherries. That result extended an abysmal winless streak to eight matches in all competition, cementing the club's worst start to a league campaign in 40 years.
However, crisis talks were held on Monday between the 45-year-old and the United hierarchy. Despite widespread anticipation of a managerial change, the boardroom ultimately opted to keep him at the helm.
This backing comes just months after Carrick penned a new permanent two-year deal in the summer. He had earned the permanent role by securing Champions League football, having originally taken over as a short-term successor to Ruben Amorim in January.
When pressed on his survival, the former midfielder maintained a defiant stance. He insisted his sole focus remains on rectifying the current crisis on the pitch rather than fearing for his job.

Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson (chest) had eight receptions (on 10 targets) for 113 yards against the Carolina Panthers in Week 8.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: In something straight out of a WWE show, Watson left Lambeau Field in an ambulance on Thursday night to get examined for a chest injury. He was cleared to return, however, and ended up being drive back from the hospital to make what was essentially a game-sealing catch on Green Bay's final drive of the night. Despite missing a significant chunk of the game, Watson still led all players in receptions (8) and receiving yards (113), though he did finish without a touchdown for a third straight game. Despite the scoring drought, Watson has earned a spot as a low-end WR1.

Patriots vs. Dolphins bold predictions for AFC East clash in NFL Week 8 appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The New England Patriots will be a rested and motivated team when they take the field in South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots lost a hard-fought game against the Chicago Bears last Thursday night, but the defeat was a competitive effort that demonstrated they could play on the road against a team with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations.
The ****** ignment this week doesn't compare. The Dolphins lack the kind of talent on either side of the ball to put up a 60-minute fight against QB Drake Maye and a motivated Patriots team. Miami earned its first victory of the season in their Week 7 game against the New York Jets, but they benefitted greatly from an inefficient and sloppy game from the Jets.
It is unlikely that the Patriots will come at them in a similar manner. New England has played four consecutive solid games, and three of them were victories. When they took down the Buffalo Bills on the road in Week 4, it demonstrated that Mike Vrabel's team was back on track and was ready to make a run at the AFC East ****** le once again.

Jake Garcia experienced a disappointing ending to Friday's Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway, finishing 26th after being involved in a major accident during the final stage. The ThorSport Racing driver started 11th and led three laps before his afternoon ended prematurely.
Garcia initially showed competitive speed, remaining among the leading trucks as drivers battled through multiple drafting lanes. His No. 98 Ford eventually moved into the lead for three laps, providing an opportunity to establish himself among the contenders.
However, maintaining track position proved difficult as competitors changed drafting lanes and employed different pit strategies. Garcia remained in competition through the opening stages but encountered serious trouble on Lap 57.
An accident sent his Ford hard into the outside wall, triggering a caution and collecting multiple competitors, including Chandler Smith and Conner Jones. The damage prevented Garcia from continuing, ending his afternoon after 56 completed laps. He ultimately finished 26th and earned 11 points.
Garcia remains 11th in the overall NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings with 559 points, the highest-ranked driver who missed the championship Chase. With Martinsville and Homestead-Miami remaining, Garcia will attempt to preserve that position and finish his season strongly.

Josh Reaume endured a challenging afternoon in Friday's Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway, finishing 22nd after starting 33rd. The Team Reaume driver gained 11 positions during the event and briefly led one lap in his No. 22 Ford.
Reaume began the race near the rear of the field, facing the challenge of advancing through a competitive 36-truck lineup. However, the unpredictable drafting conditions provided several opportunities for competitors to gain positions as the running order constantly changed.
The first major accident occurred on Lap 17, collecting eight trucks and forcing NASCAR to temporarily stop the race. Reaume avoided elimination in that incident and continued battling for track position as the event progressed. His Ford also remained competitive during the second stage, when multiple drivers experienced tire problems and varying pit strategies reshuffled the field.
Reaume eventually moved into the lead for one lap, providing a notable moment during his afternoon. The final stage featured additional accidents and an overtime finish, but Reaume could not remain on the lead lap. He ultimately completed 82 laps and finished 22nd, four laps behind winner Sammy Smith.

Justin Haley endured a challenging afternoon during Friday's Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway, finishing 20th after an early tire problem disrupted his race. The Kaulig Racing driver started 17th and led two laps before encountering difficulties.
Haley initially demonstrated competitive speed in his No. 16 Ram, moving toward the front during the opening stage. However, his afternoon changed on Lap 13 when a flat tire forced him to slow while running in traffic. Contact from Kaden Honeycutt briefly sent Haley sideways, but he managed to save the truck and return to pit road without triggering a caution.
The unscheduled stop cost Haley valuable track position and forced him to spend much of the remainder of the event attempting to recover. Despite the setback, he remained competitive during the second stage, finishing ninth and collecting two additional points.
The final stage featured multiple accidents and an overtime finish, but Haley could not regain the lost laps. He ultimately completed 84 laps and finished 20th, two laps behind winner Sammy Smith. Haley earned 19 points and maintained 14th in the overall NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings with 475 points.

Ex-player issues Masyn Winn demand to Cardinals appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn features a high ceiling. Winn earned a Gold Glove in 2025. He displayed offensive potential as well, but in 2026 Winn hit just .232 with a .625 OPS. Former MLB star pitcher Lance Lynn isn't placing all of the blame on Winn for his offensive struggles, though. Lynn believes the Cardinals need to make a lineup adjustment next season.
"If you do not put Masyn Winn in the top of the lineup to do what Masyn Winn is capable of, you keep putting him in a hole," Lynn said, via Cardinal Territory. "You gotta free him up… Last year, when you put him in the three hole, you just put him in a spot to just not be successful. I don't know how else to say it. When you put him in the nine hole, it's kind of disrespectful to his talent."
It's an intriguing take. The Cardinals could certainly try putting Winn at the top of the lineup and see what happens. Perhaps it could lead to him finding more overall offensive consistency.

Tyler Ankrum nearly captured his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory of the 2026 season during Friday's Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway. The McAnally-Hilgemann Racing driver started seventh and finished second after an intense four-wide battle approaching the checkered flag.
Ankrum remained competitive throughout the afternoon, navigating the shifting drafting lanes while several championship contenders experienced significant problems. His No. 18 Chevrolet stayed among the leading group during the final stage, giving him an opportunity to challenge for the victory when the race entered overtime.
Ankrum restarted among the front-running trucks and maintained enough momentum to reach the finish line alongside Austin Green, Ty Majeski and Kaden Honeycutt. Although Sammy Smith secured the victory by 0.091 seconds, Ankrum narrowly defeated Green for second place by just 0.002 seconds.
The runner-up finish marked Ankrum's seventh top-10 result of the season and fourth career top-10 finish at Talladega. He also earned 35 points, providing an important boost to his championship total. Ankrum remains ninth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Chase standings with 2,157 points, trailing championship leader Honeycutt by 214 markers.
Although his championship chances have ended, Ankrum will look to build on his strong Talladega performance at Martinsville and Homestead-Miami.

The tiny town of Wheeler is now home to a World Series champion.
Native son Brandon Woodruff has earned a ring after his Milwaukee Brewers finished off Tampa Bay in five games, winning 4-1 on Wednesday night. It's the first World Series ****** le in franchise history.
Woodruff, 33, has spent his entire professional career in the Brewers organization, including the last 10 in the majors – making him the longest-tenured current Brewer. He's been one of the team's most consistent pitchers – when healthy. Woodruff missed the entire 2024 season with an injury to his throwing shoulder, and he has battled similar ailments the past two seasons. He made 12 starts in 2025 and nine starts this year.
After pitching on July 4, Woodruff was shut down due to shoulder issues and did not pitch the rest of the regular season. His numbers: a 2-2 record and 2.98 ERA.
But surprisingly, the right-hander did not need surgery and got healthy enough to be included on Milwaukee's World Series roster. And then, in Game 3 on Monday, Woodruff got the final three outs of a 10-1 win. He allowed one run on two hits and had one strikeout.

One of the most basic realities of the NFL trade market is that, when a team adds a key player during a given season, someone will be taking a seat.
In Seattle, the "someone" who will be leaving the starting lineup after the arrival of guard Quenton Nelson is Anthony Bradford. With Nelson taking over at left guard and 2025 first-rounder Grey Zabel moving to right guard, former starting right guard Anthony Bradford will move to the bench.
"It's not an easy situation," coach Mike Macdonald told reporters on Thursday. "I thought Anthony played good football for us, and he has, and he's earned a significant role on our team, a starting-level role. It's one of those 'through not around' type of things with AB that is not easy.
"There's no way to sugarcoat it, and he believes this when we say this, how much we love him. The guys love him in the locker room. He's a fantastic teammate. We don't expect him to be jumping over joy in this situation because that's not realistic, but he's going to be a great teammate and he's going to stay ready.
"We know how this league works. You're a play away from him playing every play again. It's not an easy situation, but he's a tough cookie, and the guys will have his back as well and we're behind him as well, but it's not easy."

ATLANTA — The thing Angel Reese learned in her first WNBA Finals appearance is that long series still go by fast. What's done is done, and what's to come is for the taking.
Trailing 3-2 in the series, and potentially 40 minutes from the experience ending, she and her Atlanta Dream teammates gathered together ahead of film sessions to talk through what it meant. They needed to gain confidence back following two losses marred by offensive woes. They emphasized how each could take a superstar turn, but everyone was needed.
By the end of the day's film and a final practice ahead of a must-win Game 6, they said they felt good about returning to Atlanta Dream basketball. They proved the talk true immediately.
"You could definitely tell we got our swagger back," Angel Reese said.
The Dream's offense tore out of its funk and past the Golden State Valkyries' suffocating defense in Game 6 on Thursday, a jolt to West Coasters settling in with their breakfast for a 12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT tip-off. The 80-69 win was more dominant than the final score indicated; the Dream led by 25 points with three minutes to go until the half.

Kim Kardashian was left "so mad" after her years-old feud with Paris Hilton was recently revived, her biographer has revealed.
The reality TV star's biographer shared that Kim was left fuming after she learned Paris Hilton had ghosted him.
Jonathan Van Meter, author of Kim's upcoming authorised biography Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, revealed he had tried several times to schedule an interview with Kim's former best friend, but was repeatedly left hanging.
"Kim was so mad when I told her," Jonathan told The Hollywood Reporter of Paris's multiple cancellations. "It seemed to stir up some ancient irritation between them. The creation turning on the creator."
Paris, 45, famously introduced Kim, 46, to the world via her reality series The Simple Life.
The formerly close friends had a falling out after Kim's star ascended with the success of her own reality TV series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Noni Madueke made the difference for ***** nal as his deflected effort helped the Gunners secure a hard fought victory over Nottingham Forest in a difficult Premier League match. The result earned ***** nal three important points as they continue their battle for the ***** le against Manchester City.
Arsenal know they cannot afford to fall six points behind City, who have started the campaign in impressive fashion. The Manchester club have performed better than many expected and could maintain their winning run, leaving the Gunners under pressure to keep pace with their rivals.
The City Ground is a difficult venue for visiting teams, with Nottingham Forest having a reputation for making life uncomfortable for their opponents. ***** nal were well aware of the challenge before kick-off, particularly after failing to score on their previous two visits to Forest.
That record offered a warning of what could happen, and the match proved challenging for Mikel Arteta's side. Forest made the contest difficult, using direct play and aerial ***** to disrupt ***** nal and prevent them from finding their rhythm.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has praised his side's response to their pre-international break humbling at Brighton.
The Gunners were ripped apart by the vibrant Seagulls at the end of September and had to stew on the defeat for three weeks as players went away to their national teams.
But they made it three wins from three after the restart as Noni Madueke's late goal earned a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
And Raya, whose side face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday, hailed the reaction as "incredible".
"We came back very, very strong, especially after that tough defeat against Brighton and having 19 days since then to play a game," he told the club website.

The Stein Line has learned, however, that Cissé is a real candidate to be claimed off waived in the event he is let go. Chicago, sources say, has interest in the high-energy big man. I'm told Atlanta also has interest even though the Hawks don't currently have an open standard spot. If Cissé were to be waived Monday and then clear waivers Wednesday, I'm also told that the 76ers and Lakers would have strong interest in signing him to a two-way deal even though neither team currently has a two-way opening.

This has to be satire. Or so you might think when you watch the following clip from Spain's fourth division. A match there was called off last weekend due to severe flooding in the region.
But that didn't stop the referee from first checking whether it really was impossible to kick off. The official even got his feet wet in the process.
Of course, we don't know whether he considered letting the game go ahead despite the pitch clearly being unplayable. But with him refereeing, the players should apparently at least make sure they've earned their beginner's swimming badge. You never know. Next time, the ball might bounce a little and they'll find themselves in a water battle.
