Fabrizio Romano has reported that personal terms have been agreed between Yankuba Minteh and Liverpool over a potential move to Anfield for the Brighton winger.
The Reds have already seen two bids rejected by the south coast club in recent days, the second of which amounted to £60m (Sky Sports), as they pursue a late-window replacement for Mo Salah on the right flank.
The 22-year-old is currently sidelined for at least a couple of months with a leg injury he suffered in the Seagulls' pre-season win over Roma a fortnight ago, but that hasn't deterred the Merseyside club from testing the waters with a couple of unsuccessful offers for him.

According to Romano, Minteh would jump at the chance to sign for Liverpool and already has an agreement in place on personal terms, with the next step being for the two clubs to agree a fee for the Gambia forward.

The Senegal international wasn't involved in Crystal Palace's defeat to Everton on Saturday – officially injured despite training in the two days prior to the game (Sky Sports) – and reportedly wants to leave the south London club, who are determined to keep hold of him.

That was swiftly knocked back - but the 2024/25 Premier League champions didn't hang around. Another offer of £60m went in and Brighton again sent that bid to Room 101.
It is thought that the South Coast side would accept £70m for the Gambian - who joined from Newcastle in 2024.

To be clear, we're big fans of Yankuba Minteh and are excited about the prospect of what he could bring to this Andoni Iraola side.
However, we're simultaneously confused about Liverpool's strategy in the market, given that they apparently walked away from negotiations with PSG for Ibrahim Mbaye based on the 18-year-old's asking price.
