Head coach Brian Barry-Murphy says his Cardiff City squad is "vulnerable" after centre-back Gabriel Osho joined their list of fitness concerns.
Osho was seen on crutches after the 1-1 draw with Wrexham on Monday due to a knee issue.
The Championship side are already without fellow defenders Will Fish, Dylan Lawlor and Calum Chambers and have had to move established full-backs into central defence this season.
Left-back Joel Bagan started the Wrexham game in a central role and Perry Ng, who normally operates at right-back, did the same in the EFL Cup win over Swindon.
"We're in a situation at the moment where we're a little bit stretched, so we're a little bit vulnerable, but we feel as if we can be really competitive at the start of the season," Barry-Murphy said.

The Detroit Lions were back in pads on Sunday, slowly ramping things back up in their 13th training camp practice of the 2026 preseason.
A couple of unexpected absences popped up at Sunday's practice, but we also saw some injured players return, like Juice Scruggs and Derrick Moore. The pair took to the field in pads for the first time as they continue to build back up after soft-tissue injuries.
Because this was Scruggs' first practice in pads, the Lions appear like they want to keep his acclimation tempered a bit. He started most "team" series—save the final few—but at the halfway point, Scruggs went to the sidelines. That decision let the offensive line adjust its interior combination and test other options.
When Scruggs exited, Tate Ratledge stepped in at center with Christian Mahogany shifting from left to right guard to accommodate for Ben Bartch at left guard. With this combination, they could see where Ratledge is at in his development at center, make room for Bartch to get reps with the first team, and give Mahogany some looks from the right side.
The difference between the two combinations was drastic. When Scruggs was at center, the offensive line looked solid, but when they shifted to Ratledge inside, they appeared more vulnerable to blitzes, and Ratledge botched at least two snaps. While the second combination arguably puts the Lions' five most talented linemen on the field at the same time, the cohesion was clearly absent, illustrating how important it is to find the "right" combination and "fit."

Not the start that Paul Heckingbottom would have wanted or the terrific following down the M61 from the Preston faithful.
The damage was done long before the final whistle. Two goals conceded, three yellow cards collected, countless offside decisions and barely a meaningful save required from Bolton goalkeeper Jack Bonham painted a picture of a side completely out of sync.
A switch to a back four was perhaps forecast during the week, when Heckingbottom suggested that he wants this season's squad to have more flexibility. It's fair to say that a groundswell of fan opinion has been calling for it quite regularly in recent years.
But, on the evidence of the first half, the defensive unit looked uncertain, disconnected and vulnerable whenever Bolton turned possession over and drove forward.
Heckingbottom found the first-half display a difficult one to explain. He told me: "We gave ourselves a real mountain to climb. I felt it was just something as simple as their enthusiasm, their energy about being in this league and the crowd. It seemed to catch us cold."

U.S. consumer sentiment fell about 8% in August, snapping two consecutive months of improvement as worries about inflation linked to the Middle East conflict weighed on households.
The University of Michigan's Index of Consumer Sentiment came in at 51.0 for August, down from 55.2 in July, a month-over-month decline of 7.6%. Economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast a reading of 54.5. A Bloomberg survey of economists had projected 55.
The decline was broad-based. While views of personal finances saw only minor changes, expected business conditions sank 11% for the short run and 17% for the long run, according to the survey. The Index of Consumer Expectations fell to 50.6 from 55.4, and the Current Economic Conditions Index dropped to 51.8 from 54.8.
Joanne Hsu, director of the University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers, said sentiment fell across the political spectrum, with Republicans recording the steepest month-to-month drop. "Sentiment among Republicans is now 19% below readings just prior to the Iran conflict and the lowest since the 2024 election," Hsu said in a statement. Notably large declines were also recorded among older consumers, lower-income consumers, and those without a college degree — groups Hsu described as particularly vulnerable to any erosion of purchasing power from inflation.
Year-ahead inflation expectations rose to 4.3% from 4.2% in July, topping the 3.4% reading recorded in February, just before the Iran conflict erupted, and coming in above every 2024 reading as well. Consumers' five-to-ten-year inflation outlook remained anchored at 3.3%, unchanged for the third consecutive month. Only 8% of consumers expect their income growth to outpace inflation in the year ahead, down from 18% in December 2024.

US consumers grew more gloomy about the economy in August as sentiment declined amid the war, higher bond yields, and geopolitical uncertainty, according to a preliminary consumer sentiment reading from the University of Michigan.
UMich's Index of Consumer Sentiment fell to 51 from July's 55.2 reading, coming in markedly below economists' expectations of 55 and ending two consecutive months of improvement in the metric.
Indexes tracking current conditions and consumer expectations also underperformed estimates. The current conditions index printed at 51.8 versus economists' estimate of 54.8, while the expectations index was 50.6 versus the estimated 55.2.
Read more: What is consumer confidence, and why does it matter?
"Although the early-month weakening in sentiment was pervasive across various demographic groups, notably large reductions were seen among older consumers, lower-income consumers, and those without a college degree," said survey director Joanne Hsu. "These groups are all particularly vulnerable to any erosion of purchasing power stemming from inflation.

Prince Harry could reportedly use Queen Camilla's absence as an opportunity to repair his strained relationship with his father, King Charles. According to reports, the Palace is concerned that the Duke of Sussex may attempt to meet with the monarch while Camilla is away on vacation with friends. With Charles left at Balmoral, Harry could see the Queen's absence as the perfect chance to have a private conversation with his father.
As per Rob Shuter, the Palace is keenly watching Prince Harry's next move as Queen Camilla is away on vacation. This leaves King Charles alone at Balmoral, and the Duke of Sussex may seize this chance to make amends with his father.
As reported in Stuter's Naughty But Nice Substack, Harry is aware that his father is fond of him despite everything that has transpired over the years. And the Duke of Sussex is positive that he will be able to have a heartfelt conversation with Charles if he is away from all the palace noise.
A palace source said: "Harry knows exactly when his father is most vulnerable. Camilla being away removes one of the strongest voices telling Charles to think carefully before responding."
It is no secret that Charles takes Camilla's words seriously and that her presence matters a lot in his life. The Queen Consort was reportedly present when the Sussexes had a private reunion at the monarch's Highgrove House residence on July 10.

Lyft (LYFT) finally gave something to its investors: constant growth along with increasing profitability. Lyft reported another better-than-expected quarter, pushing the number of active riders above 30 million for the first time and setting a record of gross bookings at $5.5 billion.
These numbers allowed LYFT stock to reach its peak in the last six months, although still being over 30% below the 52-week high. However, the improving fundamentals of Lyft do not settle the largest debate about the stock. The ***** ysts are divided over the question of autonomous vehicles (AVs), with one group considering Lyft's partner strategy as an advantage and the other believing that Lyft's smaller size makes it more vulnerable than Uber Technologies (UBER).

The Yankees are struggling offensively. The Yankees do not hit with runners in scoring position. The Yankees have been too homer-reliant. All three of these tenets are true, especially since the injury bug swept through the Bronx and left them more vulnerable than they've been in several years.
All of their wins and losses are decided by one or two runs. They get excellent pitching, but regardless of the quality of the opposing starter, they often fail to dent home plate due to their middling healthy power options and their struggles with RISP. Since June 18th, they have been batting an absolutely dreadful .170 in these situations, by far the worst in baseball. They are also striking out a league-high 29.4 percent in these spots, limiting opportunities for productive outs.
This game was going like all the others. They squandered three massive opportunities with runners in scoring position off Bryan Woo early on before going down in order in three consecutive innings. Now trailing 1-0 after one measly run scored off a sharp Ryan Weathers, they got one more chance in the seventh and didn't let it go to waste. Two unlikely sources provided two great pieces of hitting to small ball their way to a four-run inning and a 4-1 win.
Weathers started this one out looking to continue the good vibes he's had on the ****** p lately and quickly retired the first two he faced before jumping ahead 0-2 on Julio Rodriguez before throwing four straight ****** and walking him. Things might've gotten hairy with a Dominic Canzone grounder that hit the second base bag if not for a stellar barehanded play by George Lombard Jr., who continues to be a savant defensively.

Sands Capital, an investment management company, released its "Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund" Q2 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. In the quarter, global equities rebounded sharply, with the MSCI ACWI posting its strongest quarterly gain since 2020, supported by broad market strength, easing geopolitical tensions, and continued enthusiasm for AI infrastructure. Information technology led the advance, with semiconductor and hardware companies accounting for most of the index's rise. The fund returned 26.9% (net) in the second quarter of 2026. The portfolio benefited from strong gains across memory, software infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other AI-related holdings, although its concentrated exposure to mega-cap chip designers and manufacturers weighed on relative performance as leadership broadened into CPUs, networking, and memory. Vertical software, internet, and financial holdings were modest detractors amid macro concerns and uncertainty over AI disruption. The fund remains focused on critical AI bottlenecks, including compute, memory, manufacturing, networking, and power, while retaining selected businesses that may use AI to strengthen their competitive positions. You can check the fund's top five holdings to learn more about its leading investment ideas for the year.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund highlighted Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX). Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX), an online gaming and virtual experience platform, supported by AI-driven innovation and infrastructure advantages, detracted from the performance this quarter. On August 7, 2026, Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) closed at $37.79 per share. The one-month return of Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) was -32.87% and its shares lost 72.42% over the past 52 weeks. Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) has a market capitalization of $27 billion.
Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund stated the following regarding Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) shares declined, reflecting more difficult user engagement comparisons and increased investment in safety features that pressured margins. We sold the business during the quarter. Roblox has strengthened its position as a platform since our initial investment, with engagement and monetization broadening beyond a small number of viral hit games. That progress drove a meaningful improvement in revenue growth and profitability. However, the stock has become more vulnerable to difficult comparisons following a surge in engagement, while incremental safety investments may weigh on near-term usage and monetization. Although we continue to see long-term potential in the business, we exited the position because the near-term setup had become less attractive relative to other opportunities."

American Airlines Group Inc. (NASDAQ:AAL) and easyJet plc (LON:EZJ) are facing the same industry-wide challenge: sharply higher fuel costs. Yet their latest earnings suggest they are responding in very different ways. American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) delivered record quarterly revenue as stronger pricing and premium demand offset part of the fuel shock, while easyJet's (LON:EZJ) profits plunged 70% despite continued operational improvements.
The key question for investors is whether American Airlines Group's (NASDAQ:AAL) pricing power or easyJet's (LON:EZJ) fuel-hedging strategy leaves either airline better positioned if elevated fuel costs persist.
The strongest argument in favor of American Airlines Group (NASDAQ:AAL) is the quality of its revenue growth. Total revenue rose 16.3% to a company-record $16.7 billion, while capacity increased only 5.4%. Passenger unit revenue improved across premium and Main Cabin products as well as domestic and every major international region. Premium passenger unit revenue increased 13.4%, Main Cabin passenger unit revenue rose 8.8%, and domestic passenger unit revenue advanced 10.6%. The gap between revenue growth and capacity growth suggests American Airlines Group (NASDAQ:AAL) generated a significant portion of its improvement through stronger pricing and higher revenue per available seat rather than simply flying more aircraft.
The recovery was also broad-based, extending across premium, Main Cabin, domestic, and international markets rather than relying on a single customer segment. That diversification is encouraging because it makes revenue growth less dependent on one area of demand while reinforcing management's strategy of prioritizing higher-value passengers through additional premium seating and fleet upgrades.
easyJet's (LON:EZJ) investment case rests less on pricing power and more on risk management. Although profits came under considerable pressure, non-fuel costs remained broadly in line with expectations, and approximately 72% of the airline's second-half fuel requirements had already been hedged. While management acknowledged that the remaining unhedged fuel exposure leaves the airline vulnerable to additional price increases, the hedge book provides an important buffer against near-term volatility.

Liverpool's summer is taking on a familiar shape, ambition in the market, patience at the negotiating table, and a fanbase watching the calendar as much as the pitch. Credit to The Athletic, whose latest DealSheet offers a useful snapshot of where matters stand at Anfield, and the picture is one of selective movement rather than frenzy.
The headline development is clear enough. "Liverpool have completed a deal to bring in Ronald Araujo on loan for the season in the first move of the summer to tighten up the defence." In a window that has carried an urgent undertone around squad balance, that feels significant. Araujo arrives with stature, pedigree and versatility, and Liverpool have moved to address an area that had begun to look vulnerable.
Photo IMAGO
Elsewhere, the search for attacking reinforcement remains active but unresolved. "Discussions over bringing Bradley Barcola in from Paris Saint-Germain have continued, but Liverpool remain no closer to agreeing a fee, with the two clubs' valuations still considerably apart." It is a line that captures the push and pull of modern recruitment, aspiration against price discipline, desire tempered by realism.
There is also uncertainty around Curtis Jones, with interest from Inter Milan lingering in the background, and wider questions over how swiftly Liverpool can complete the squad-building required for Andoni Iraola's first season in charge. This is not a window for panic, but it is one for clarity.

Liverpool's summer has the feel of a queue that will not quite move. You can see the shape of what the club want to do, you can understand the logic behind it, and you can also sense the frustration rising because the clock keeps ticking while key pieces remain out of reach.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool have made their first significant defensive move by completing a loan deal for Ronald Araujo from Barcelona. At the same time, talks over Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola continue to drag, with a sizeable valuation gap still in the way. Add in uncertainty over Curtis Jones and interest in Cody Gakpo, and it is clear this remains a squad in transition under Andoni Iraola.
There is no panic required yet. There is, however, a growing need for clarity.
Photo: liverpoolfc.com
The most concrete development is at the back. The Athletic reports that "Liverpool have completed a deal to bring in Ronald Araujo on loan for the season in the first move of the summer to tighten up the defence." That line matters because it sums up precisely where the club were vulnerable.

The months-long closure of the Strait of Hormuz has led to severe fuel shortages around the globe, as companies battle to continue operations. Airlines have been hit hard as they struggle to obtain enough jet fuel to maintain their regular flight schedules.
The U.S.-Israeli war on Iran led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz – a key trade corridor connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, via which roughly 20 per cent of the world's oil is transported when fully operational. Several months of closures have resulted in significant restrictions to energy trade, with many countries now facing severe fuel shortages.
In July, several European airlines announced that they were at risk of running out of jet fuel. Europe has turned to the United States and Asia for alternative fuel imports in recent months but continues to feel the strain of the shortages. The United Kingdom, France, and Germany are extremely vulnerable due to their heavy reliance on the Middle East for their fuel supplies.
In recent decades, several countries have reduced their refining activities in favour of a green transition, leaving them more susceptible to supply chain disruptions. Before the war, Europe relied on the Middle East for roughly half of its jet fuel imports. Iran has allowed limited fuel supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, but it is uncertain when normal trade will resume due to the ongoing conflict.
On 18th June, the consultancy Energy Aspects forecast a jet fuel supply deficit across Europe of almost 600,000 bpd in the third quarter of the year, compared to surpluses of around 116,000 bpd in the United States and 425,000 bpd in Asia-Pacific. Europe's inventories totalled around 38 million barrels at the beginning of June, equivalent to roughly 30 days of its fuel demand. The International Energy Agency (IEA) made a similar estimate.

Meryl Streep is one of the most famous and accomplished actors of all time. Born in New Jersey in 1949, Streep actually started out considering opera, but soon fell in love with theatre. She studied drama at Vassar College before graduating from the Yale School of Drama with an M.F.A. in 1975; it only took her three years to earn her first Oscar nomination (for 1978's "The Deer Hunter"). That was her first of a whopping 21 Academy Award nominations, making her the most-nominated actor in Oscars history. That's in addition to her 33 Golden Globe nominations (another all-time record), six Emmy nominations, and so much more.
Streep has clearly put in a lot of work to accomplish all that she's done, and it's hard to imagine something she can't do. Whatever your goals in life, it's easy to wonder how Streep got to where she is today, and easier to want the recipe for that success to cook up yourself. However, you might be surprised by her answers when she shared her thoughts on the subject, and that's why Streep's take on success and building confidence is today's quote of the day.

During a chat with Michelle Obama for More magazine in 2015, Meryl Streep said (via People), "It's a good thing to imagine yourself doing something you think you can't. I do that every day because, basically, if I had it my way, I'd just stay home and think about what I'm having for supper." Streep explained that, while this may not be apparent to fans, it actually isn't in her nature to put herself out there and be confident, ambitious, and vulnerable.

Meta Platforms (META) continues to grow rapidly, and evidence suggests that artificial intelligence (AI) is making its ads more effective. Still, the company's financial results appear unlikely to get a huge boost from AI in the bigger picture, while Meta also does not appear to have many imminent positive catalysts on the way. Meta's core ad business is also quite vulnerable to a potential drop in consumer spending, which could eventually be triggered by elevated oil prices and tariffs.
Conversely, Amazon (AMZN) is benefiting tremendously from the AI boom and appears likely to continue to do so. Amazon has multiple, needle-moving businesses working for it as well, making the case for AMZN stock even stronger.

LIV Golf 1.0 — the era of big talk and bigger paychecks — is over. Whatever comes next for the breakaway tour, cut loose by Saudi Arabian funding and now on the hunt for outside investment, the days of "Golf But Louder" are done.
Without a doubt, LIV fundamentally changed the structure of men's professional golf, forcing the PGA Tour into reworking its entire structure, schedule and financial model. LIV altered the professional arcs of some of the game's greatest players, gave others the opportunity to destroy their own reputations, and provided a pathway back to prominence for the once-lost Anthony Kim. LIV also brought the concept of sportswashing into the mainstream of the American sports conversation, forcing sports fans to decide just how much politics they were willing to accept with their sports.
That's a ****** of an impact in just a few short years, but that also leads into another LIV lesson: the impossibility of competing with the established American sports framework. Even a league funded by bottomless oil wealth ultimately couldn't compete with a vulnerable legacy organization.
So what does that mean? Competing with the PGA Tour is a lost cause for LIV, so coexistence is now the only path forward. And if LIV is going to survive and thrive in the years to come, version 2.0 will need to learn from the mistakes of its predecessor. And oh, are there plenty of lessons to learn.
LIV Golf fired off the tee in 2021 with swagger, attitude and arrogance, largely mirroring the personality of firebrand Greg Norman. Longtime PGA Tour antagonists like Norman and Phil Mickelson spoke openly (and in court filings) of wanting to upend the Tour's entire business model, torching the very house in which they'd grown wealthy. That didn't sit well with Tour traditionalists, and the badass playacting came off as more silly than intimidating. You're smacking a little white ball around a field, gentlemen. Let's not pretend this is armed combat.

Up until July 20th, Yankees trade acquisition Ryan Weathers was sporting a disappointing 4.40 ERA in 102.1 innings. His four-seam fastball was getting battered, and he was allowing too many home runs to have a chance at sustained success. Baseball, however, is a game of adjustments. The talented left-hander has allowed just one earned run in his last three starts and 18.2 frames, with 13 hits, no homers, five walks, and 17 punchouts. He seems like a completely different pitcher, much less vulnerable, and has dropped his season ERA to 3.79 over that span.
What changed? Well, if you have a fastball that has surrendered a .628 xSLG (expected slugging percentage) and a .408 xwOBA, you just don't throw it very often, as our own Peter Brody suggested a few weeks ago. The writer prescribed more sinkers and fewer four-seamers as the recipe for success. Let's see Weathers' pitch mix in his last start on Tuesday, when he held the St. Louis Cardinals scoreless for six frames, conceding just four hits and a walk while fanning six:
Changeup: 30 percent
Sinker: 25 percent
Sweeper: 24 percent

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Foundations funded and co-founded by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jeff Bezos have launched an initiative committing $200 million to revive 100 of Earth's most threatened species, including endangered lemurs, salamanders, pangolins, pigs and echidnas.
DiCaprio's Re:wild and the Bezos Earth Fund are leading the Phoenix Species Project, the groups announced Tuesday. They call it the largest single fund in history dedicated exclusively to recovering critically endangered species.
DiCaprio has for years been developing the idea of a major concerted effort to help species whose habitats and future existence are threatened by climate change.
In 2021, he and Re:wild co-founder Wes Sechrest, a biologist who serves as the organization's CEO, met with the Amazon-founding mega billionaire Bezos and his wife, former TV news reporter and host Lauren Sánchez Bezos. He serves as chair and she as vice chair of the Bezos Earth Fund.
The meeting led to a series of conversations with local governments, environmental groups and Indigenous people on how best to reverse the decline of their most vulnerable species. Those conversations eventually led to the Phoenix Species Project.

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles' increased use of under-center formations does not mean they are abandoning the run-pass option concepts that have helped Jalen Hurts throughout his career. Offensive coordinator Sean Mannion believes both approaches can remain part of the offense, with their usage determined by matchups, game situations and what opposing defenses present each week.
"I think there's definitely room for both," Mannion said. "A lot of it is just dependent on week by week or situationally."
Philadelphia displayed several under-center play-action looks during the opening week of training camp. Those formations could help create varied rushing angles for Saquon Barkley while giving Hurts opportunities to attack defenses with play action. Operating under center can also make Philadelphia's intentions less obvious. The Eagles can run the football, use conventional play-action or build movement passes from similar formations. That forces linebackers and safeties to process more information after the snap.
Hurts has traditionally done some of his best work from the shotgun, where his ability to read defenders powers Philadelphia's zone-read and RPO packages. Mannion does not view adding under-center concepts as an either-or decision. Instead, the Eagles want enough variety to select the approach that best attacks each opponent. Some defenses may be vulnerable to play-action from under center. Others may struggle to account for Hurts as an additional runner from shotgun formations.
"There's a lot of different things that come up throughout the game from one week to the next, things you're seeing from the defense," Mannion said. "To have all those different elements in your back pocket, I think there's room for many different things."

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Faced with a narrow path to winning control of the U.S. House, Democrats are seeing fresh opportunity in a northeast Ohio congressional seat where the Republican incumbent is facing mounting pressure over domestic abuse allegations in a bitter and drawn-out dispute with his ex-wife.
Allegations against U.S. Rep. Max Miller, a White House adviser during President Donald Trump's first term, have been public for years but have recently drawn increased media scrutiny amid an escalating legal back-and-forth with his former spouse, who is the daughter of U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio. That has Democrats sensing Miller could be vulnerable in a district he won two years ago with just over 51% of the vote.
Over the past week, they have called for Miller to resign, requested a congressional ethics investigation and suggested more help could be directed in the fall toward his Democratic opponent, union ironworker Brian Poindexter. Miller has denied the abuse allegations and filed defamation lawsuits against his ex-wife and a second accuser.
The House Majority PAC, a super political action committee aimed at electing a Democratic majority, said it is monitoring the race's dynamics as part of its strategy to push deeper into GOP territory in this year's midterm elections.
"HMP is willing to do whatever it takes to take back the House, and nothing is off the table," spokesperson CJ Warnke said.

Wondering how to get cheap life insurance? It may be easier than you think. A new study by LIMRA found that adults under age 30 overestimate the cost of life insurance by 10 to 12 times more than it actually costs.
The reality is, some healthy adults could get affordable life insurance for about what they'd spend on a streaming subscription each month. The trick lies in buying coverage while you're young, choosing term life insurance over permanent coverage when appropriate, and comparing quotes from several insurers before making a decision.
For most people, cheap life insurance comes down to a policy you can comfortably afford. And the amount you can comfortably afford might look different from your friend, coworker, or neighbor.
Affordable life insurance also comes down to you getting a good price for the coverage you actually need. For example, a $500,000 policy will almost always cost less than a $1 million policy. But if your family would need far more than $500,000 to replace your income, pay off a mortgage, or cover future expenses, choosing the lowest premium could leave them financially vulnerable.

As we get deeper into the summer, the NBA world slows down, but there is still some intrigue in the free-agent and trade market. Some of this may drag out closer to the start of training camp, but here is the latest from the rumor mill.
When the Warriors came out as a loser in the LeBron James sweepstakes, that led some people to speculate about Stephen Curry's future: With the end of this Warriors era limping to the end, would he leave Golden State to chase a ring somewhere else?
No.
While some pundits looking to grab attention may talk about it, the idea of a Curry exit was never seriously entertained by other teams, league sources told NBC Sports. Every report out of the Bay Area has been about how the sides will talk extension when he becomes eligible on Aug. 29. Here is how ESPN's Anthony Slater put it.
"There remains mutual interest in a Curry extension when he's eligible in late August, league sources said, but nearly the rest of the roster is vulnerable in the next calendar year."

Football chiefs will consider whether to push for a vote of no confidence on Gianni Infantino following another another day of drastic developments surrounding the embattled Fifa president.
But Infantino's game-breaking Fifa Forward Enterprise plan is described as "not dead yet", with the Swiss official still pushing on with his controversial plans after the global governing body issued another round of "clarifications" overnight.
Sources have even spoken of Infantino continuing on in the office as normal. Meanwhile, many outside his decreasingly small circle are highly curious as to what he is "feeling" right now, as a previously invulnerable position has been left so exposed in a matter of days.

Above anything, it's remarkable to think a Fifa president can continue when the most powerful continent have boycotted the World Cup, in Uefa, and two other confederations have at least prepared the ground to follow.

New BYU linebacker Cade Uluave thought it sounded too good to be true.
Take a few hours off from offseason football conditioning and play golf with his teammates, coaches and media members?
"Count me in," said the transfer from Cal, who earlier this month was selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team and named All-America Fourth Team by both Athlon Sports and Phil Steele Publications.
Uluave, safety Raider Damuni and offensive linemen Andrew Gentry and Sonny Makasini were among the players who participated in the annual BYU Football Media Golf Classic on Thursday at Timpanogos Golf Club in Provo, along with coaches Kalani Sitake, Fesi Sitake, Demario Warren, Lewis Walker, Logan Lutui and Jack Damuni.
"I think everybody loves it. It is a chance for all of us to be a little bit more vulnerable, get to know each other a bit better. I always look forward to it."

Medicare Advantage enrollees get one 12-month trial right to return to Original Medicare and buy a guaranteed-issue Medigap policy without medical underwriting.
The trial window closes 63 days after year one ends, and missing it can permanently expose beneficiaries to unlimited 20% outpatient coinsurance with no cap.
The MA Open Enrollment Period, which runs from January through March, lets you leave Advantage but does not guarantee Medigap access, leaving post-year-one switchers vulnerable to health underwriting.
Two retirees, same $1 million, same 4% rule, buy one finished with $1.4 million, the other hit $0 in 12 years. Our free reader guide explains the flaw that separated them, and the income-first method built to avoid it.
A 66-year-old retiree signs up for a zero-premium Medicare Advantage plan the month she turns 65. Fourteen months in, her orthopedist drops the network, her prior authorization for an MRI is denied twice, and she wants back on Original Medicare with a Medigap policy. She calls a broker. The broker asks when she first enrolled. Then he tells her the escape hatch closed 60 days ago.

It's been a bit of a janky week for Yankee baseball, with a pair of rain-induced doubleheaders and a scheduled offday in the past six. We return to what is hopefully normal programming today, with the Bombers coming into Philadelphia for a three-game set against the second-place Phillies.
It's Cam ****** p Day, as the ace Cam Schlittler looks to pull himself over the 4.0 fWAR mark if he can really strut on the Phils tonight. I've remarked a number of times this year how Cam will variate between "real good" and "meh" starts this year, with a handful of dominant performances and only one real stinker in the mix. His last outing was certainly in the "meh" column, as the Dodgers were able to chase him before the end of the fifth last Sunday.
I need to do the math on this, but it feels like because Cam throws so many pitches in the zone, he's most vulnerable against teams that make contact and offer at pitches in-zone. The Phillies boast the sixth-highest strikeout rate in baseball and the 10th-highest Z-Swing percentage, along with the 16th-best Z-Contact rate. To me that sounds like this should be a good matchup for Schlittler's game plan, but Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper are still who they are.
Jesús Luzardo, who is still just 28 despite me feeling like I've heard his name for 15 years, goes for Philly. After a five-win season of his own last year, he's returned that pace and then some in 2026, making the All-Star team with a 3.43 ERA and 2.90 FIP, led by a sparkling ability to keep the ball in the park. The Yankees have managed to induce some immediate regression in other homer-suppressing pitchers this year, if they can manage that tonight they'll set themselves up well for a win.
Do note this game is on AppleTV+. I wish it were not.
