Ant-Man alum Michelle Pfeiffer is ready to leave one part of Hollywood behind. The veteran star says leading a film no longer appeals to her after discovering how much she enjoys sharing the spotlight.
Michelle Pfeiffer says her future acting plans are heading in a different direction. Speaking at The Hollywood Reporter x Apple TV's Leading the Narrative: The Women of Apple TV event, the Oscar-nominated actress admitted she no longer wants to headline films and would rather work in ensemble projects. "I never want to star in another movie, I swear to God," Pfeiffer said, before explaining that she now prefers ensemble casts because "it's so much more fun."
That change in perspective follows a busy year on television. Pfeiffer stars in and executive produces Margo's Got Money Troubles and also appears in The Madison, with both series already renewed.
She praised television for giving women richer material, saying she has been "bowled over" by female performances on the small screen. She added that Margo's Got Money Troubles stands out because its characters are "complicated," "flawed" and deeply human.
While discussing the Apple TV+ drama, Pfeiffer also reflected on a Robin Williams quote about kindness, saying it perfectly captures the series' emotional core. She described playing Shyanne as a blast, joking that she's "the wallflower" in real life but loved stepping into the colorful character's outrageous wardrobe. Laughing, she recalled how crew members would react whenever Shyanne arrived on set: "Oh God, now look what she's wearing!"
