The Cowboys agreed to terms with veteran outside linebacker Von Miller on Sunday. He is expected in camp on Monday night and will begin the ramp-up process on Tuesday.
B.T. Jordan, a pass rush consultant for the Cowboys, is the personal pass rush coach for Miller. Jordan vouched for the 37-year-old Miller, who had nine sacks last season while playing 37 percent of the snaps in 17 games.
"You get someone that's been there and done that," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said of Miller, via Tommy Yarrish of the team website. "He trains with our consulting trainer, and boy, [Jordan] had been telling us for all this past year, 'Boy if we could get [Miller].' He knew first-hand because he works with him all the time and knew that he could help us. And of course, that trainer is working with all of our guys. We feel real good.
"We've really been communicating with him for a lot of weeks here. [Jordan] couldn't say enough good things about what kind of shape he's in, how much quickness he has, how he thought he could really help us."
The Cowboys have hinted at a "substantive" trade for a defensive player since training camp opened, and Jones said Miller's signing doesn't change that.

The Jets had a bit of a scare during Monday's practice.
Star running back Breece Hall was forced to leave the session early as he went down untouched while running after pulling in a swing pass in the open field.
Hall walked off slowly alongside trainers to the medical tent.
Head coach Aaron Glenn revealed later Monday morning that the 25-year-old strained his groin, and is set to undergo further evaluation.
The initial belief, though, is that the injury isn't believed to be serious.

The Boston Red Sox were one of the hottest teams in baseball over the last month and a half, but have cooled down as of late.
They are 3-7 in their last 10 and have seen some of their pitchers struggle. On Sunday, Patrick Sandoval allowed seven earned runs in four innings of work. He had been pitching well recently, so Sunday's blow up start was a shock. He received a visit from the trainer on Sunday as well, in the fourth inning.
"Patrick Sandoval said he's been pitching through a blister on his left foot basically all season (thus the trainer visit in the fourth inning)," The Boston Globe's Alex Speier reported on Sunday. "He says it's just a matter of pain tolerance."
Any sort of minor injury can impact any player's performance, but especially pitchers. A blister in his left foot would certainly be something that is difficult to manage, but he has been doing it all year. Given Jake Bennett's recent struggles, the Red Sox will need their other arms to step up. They know what they are going to get out of the top-end guys like Ranger Suarez, Payton Tolle and Sonny Gray.

MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins activated rookie wide receiver Chris Bell from the non-football injury list on Monday, Aug. 17.
Bell has looked good in work on the side with trainers as he planned a return from a season-ending knee injury at Louisville.
This is an indicator Miami could have rookie receivers Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell available for the season opener at Las Vegas on Sunday, Sept. 13.
This is a huge boost for quarterback Malik Willis and offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.
Bell was a third-round pick in the last NFL Draft, 94th overall.

Aaron Donald's potential return to the Los Angeles Rams has gone from an exciting possibility to a waiting game that is testing fans' patience.
The 35-year-old defensive legend completed a second official workout at the Rams' facility, once again fueling speculation that he could make a stunning comeback. But with no contract yet, some fans are starting to wonder how much longer this saga can continue.
Donald's second workout included defensive-line drills with defensive line coach Giff Smith, members of the Rams' strength staff, and his personal trainer, DeWayne Brown.
Because Donald used Rams facilities and team equipment, the workout had to be reported as an official tryout on the NFL transaction wire.
That was enough to reignite speculation about a comeback, but it also produced a wave of frustration from fans who have been following the story closely.

The Chicago Bears have been dealing with injuries throughout the first few weeks of training camp, and that continued on Sunday when running back Kyle Monangai suffered a knee injury.
According to reporters in attendance, Monangai got tangled up with defensive tackle Grady Jarrett during a non-padded practice, and both players went to the ground. Monangai's knee was examined on the field by trainer Andre Tucker before they both walked off the field, although Monangai was walking gingerly.
But it sounds like good news as ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Monangai is believed to be "fine" and "initial tests showed his knee to be structurally sound, but the team will do an MRI to confirm."
More to come.

Travis Kelce made sure his new wedding ring was impossible to miss as he arrived at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs' pre-season opener against the Los Angeles Rams.
The 36-year-old tight end was sporting a yellow gold band on his ring finger, giving fans another glimpse into life after his July 3 wedding to Taylor Swift.
Kelce and Swift tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York, with more than 1,000 guests attending the celebration. Details from inside the wedding have remained limited because of strict security and a no-phone policy.
Swift has also been seen wearing her own ring since the wedding, most recently during a night out in London earlier this week.
Kelce arrived at Arrowhead in a tie-dye outfit, black sunglasses and trainers, but it was the chunky gold wedding band that quickly caught attention.

Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert is among the three newest advisors to the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority, officials announced Aug. 14.
As a member of HISA's Horsemen's Advisory Group, Baffert is expected provide feedback on the Racetrack Safety, and Anti-Doping and Medication Control programs, which cover rules and regulations in horse racing. The others named to the 18-member advisory group Aug. 14 are trainers Jena Antonucci and Tim Keefe.
"We are also pleased to welcome our new members to the Advisory Group and look forward to the perspectives they will bring as we continue working collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance the sport for horses and participants alike," HISA CEO Lisa Lazarus said in a statement.
Baffert, Antonucci and Keefe succeed outgoing advisory group members Kelsey Danner, Gavin Murphy and Jonathan Sadler.
Baffert, 73, has trained six Kentucky Derby and two Triple Crown winners in a more than 40-year career. In 2021, Baffert received a two-year suspension from Churchill Downs after Medina Spirit, who had finished first in that year's Kentucky Derby, was found to have failed a postrace drug test. The suspension was later extended one year amid a lawsuit from Baffert, who had claimed Churchill was targeting him and trying to destroy his career.

Following a Thursday night preseason opener tie, the Indianapolis Colts were back in action indoors during otherwise a soggy late Saturday afternoon—for what was a rather uneventful training camp practice, with the team primarily focusing on end zone work.
I was actually able to attend this one as a credentialed member of the media, so I'll change the format up a bit:
For another training camp practice, it looked like the Colts secondary got the better of the Indianapolis wide receivers, especially with Alec Pierce still out (who we'll get to in a bit here). That seems to have been a common theme so far this training camp, and when the trio of Sauce Gardner, Charvarius Ward, and Justin Walley are all fully healthy, the Colts project to have one of the best cornerback rooms atop their depth chart in the entire league.
In particular, starting cornerback Justin Walley, who was playing on the outside in place of Ward in this one, had at least a few deflections of note. Oftentimes, Jones was forced to hold the football in the passing pocket until a Colts receiver could finally free up from tight coverage. That may not happen in a real game, where the pass rush will get to him a lot quicker and not let up, likely seeing more 'coverage sacks.'
That being said, while the Colts secondary did stifle Jones for much of the afternoon, he connected on at least a few touchdowns passes in 11-on-11 red zone work, including to Josh Downs, who came up gingerly after the acrobatic touchdown catch but was able to walk off the field and be attended to by trainers. Downs did later return to practice. Ashton Dulin, Seth McGowan, Laquon Treadwell, and Tyler Warren, who also had an acrobatic dandy, caught the other touchdown receptions from Jones on the afternoon from what I saw.

Slowly but surely, some of the Detroit Lions' key figures are making their way back into training camp practices.
Per Pride of Detroit's Jeremy Reisman, running backs Sione Vaki (broken nose) and Jabari Small, offensive lineman Juice Scruggs (soft tissue), linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez (ankle), EDGE Derrick Moore (groin) and cornerback D.J. Reed (groin) all made their way back into Saturday's training camp practice.
On another encouraging note, Lions rookie linebacker Jimmy Rolder was spotted working with trainers. Rolder is expected to "miss some time" but NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on Aug. 1 that Rolder had avoided a severe injury. Saturday's news is a step forward in Rolder's return.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell shared an injury update before the Lions' 12th training camp practice, indicating that some of its top players would start working there way back in.
"Yeah, (Derrick) Moore will start working back here a little bit. We'll work those guys progressively. Get them back every day a little bit more and more, provided no setbacks. So, I think we'll get (Sione) Vaki out there a little bit. Moore is one of them. We talked about Juice. I think DJ Reed's going to start working back in. So, we're about to get a lot of guys back here," Campbell said.

In 2025, the injury bug didn't just bite the Bucs, it fed off them. Nearly every meaningful starter on both sides of the ball was beaten up, and the health of this team would be a big reason why they either bounced back or continued down the standings of the NFC South.
On Wednesday, the bug returned.
During a joint practice with the New York Jets, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka limped off the field with trainers. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo shared he was, "examined on the sideline table for a while. Hard to see exactly what's up from where we are but he's still on the table and hasn't returned."
Later, while speaking to the media, head coach Todd Bowles shared that he did not have an update on Egbuka. He also said he was unclear on what the injury was at that point.
As updates come in, we will provide them on Bucs Wire.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka (undisclosed) limped off the field to be examined by trainers Wednesday, Aug. 12.
SOURCE: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo
Huddle Up: No word on what the ailment is, but the talented second-year receiver is worth monitoring. He had a 63-938-6 line last season but was slowed by injuries despite playing in all 17 games. He's a WR with an ADP of 46 and is supposed to be the featured guy with Mike Evans gone to San Francisco.

Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice had an unexpected 30-day offseason jail stint, due to a positive THC test while on probation for felony charges arising from a 2024 street-racing incident.
The timing, which is never really ideal, became especially problematic because it kept Rice away from the team during the offseason program. At first, he was unable to engage in rehab after a recent knee surgery. (He later got permission to leave the jail for the treatment he needed.)
He spoke to reporters on Tuesday for the first time since his incarceration.
"It was a learning experience and a reality check," Rice said, via Nate Taylor of ESPN. "Don't focus on the past. Focus on what's going on now. I'm doing [well] mentally.
"It was mentally tough. They gave me ways to communicate with my teammates still and as well as my athletic trainer. Besides the hard times in there, I kept my mind right watching shows and as much Kevin Hart as I could to laugh."

Offensive tackle Jacob Ponton and defensive tackle Mateen Ibirogba got tangled up and went to the turf during a recent Texas Tech football practice. The behemoths toppled, and because Will Hammond was in the vicinity, the Tech quarterback went down, too.

"Not going to lie," Tech coach Joey McGuire said. "I was holding my breath, but Will popped up and Mike (Ramirez), our head trainer, goes, 'I didn't have that on my bingo card, the first time Will would hit the ground is in this group.'"

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua provided an early scare on Tuesday, leaving joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys alongside head athletic trainer Reggie Scott. The star wideout did not return to finish the day's session and head coach Sean McVay wasn't sure what happened.
While any early exit for a franchise cornerstone brings a certain level of anxiety, veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford doesn't appear to be hitting the panic ****** on just yet. Speaking to reporters after practice, Stafford projected a calm, business-as-usual attitude regarding his top target's departure.
"I did not [see what happened]," Stafford said when asked about Nacua's exit. "I'm not really sure what the issue was, but ****** ody ran up to me in a panic, so I don't think it was anything too major."
Stafford's laid-back reaction is a welcome sign for a fan base that holds its breath whenever Nacua steps off the field. The 25-year-old receiver has developed a reputation for his relentless, physical playing style, but that same trait has occasionally sidelined him. After avoiding injury during his record-breaking 2023 rookie campaign, Nacua dealt with a right knee PCL sprain in 2024 and missed a game due to an ankle sprain in 2025.
Despite the occasional ****** p in the road, Nacua's production has been nothing short of historic. He is coming off a staggering 2025 campaign where he led the entire NFL with 129 receptions, racking up 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns. Over his first three professional seasons, he has accumulated 313 catches for 4,191 yards and 19 scores.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Defensive end Myles Garrett was held out of the Los Angeles Rams' joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday, while wide receiver Puka Nacua left the workout early because of an apparent injury.
Sean McVay said Garrett did not participate as a precaution because of swelling in his knee, which has the two-time AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year who was acquired in a blockbuster trade in June feeling 85% healthy, according to his new head coach. Garrett missed time earlier in training camp because of what McVay described as lower body soreness.
The Rams are still learning how to manage Garrett's workload in practice. The Cleveland Browns limited reps for Garrett later on in his tenure, allowing him to play in 83 of a possible 85 games over his final five seasons there.
"I don't know what 100% is going to look like, but it must be pretty good if that's 85%," McVay said. "He's so tough, he wanted to be able to be out there. ... There's nothing to be concerned about. It was just kind of us erring on the side of caution. There wasn't any setbacks, anything like that."
Nacua came out of practice accompanied by team trainers, but McVay did not have an update on what happened to his No. 1 receiver who had 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

Matthew Stafford is neither a trainer nor a doctor. But as a quarterback entering his 18th pro season, he has an idea of what a serious injury looks like.
Head coach Sean McVay did not have a real update on why Puka Nacua left Tuesday's joint practice with the Cowboys, and Stafford didn't know much about it either. But he also did not get any indication that Nacua's injury was significant.
"I did not [see what happened]," Stafford said, via Lindsey Thiry of ESPN. "I'm not really sure what the issue was, but **** ody ran up to me in a panic, so I don't think it was anything too major."
That's not confirmation that nothing serious happened to Nacua. But it is a positive signal when there isn't any other concrete information.
Nacua caught 129 passes for 1,7115 yards with 10 touchdowns last season.

Los Angeles Rams wide reciever Puka Nacua left Tuesday's practice early with trainer Reggie Scott and did not return.
Nacua is in a contract year, and he is set to become the highest-paid wide reciever in the NFL, but he may already be injured.
According to head coach Sean McVay, Nacua did in fact leave early, though there is no information on his injury, and the coach does not know what led to it.
The Rams were hosting the Cowboys for a joint practice since both teams are in the LA area for their training camps, with Dallas basing out of Oxnard for the preseason.

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins was carted off at practice on Tuesday. Reports were that it looked like he suffered a lower-body injury, either to his left leg or knee.

After the injury, head coach Jesse Minter said he didn't have much more information to add. He did say that, "I think there's optimism."

WALTON — There's good news at Lewis Cass in regards to athletic trainer Sally Young being back on the sidelines as the athletic trainer.
For awhile it looked like that might not be the case. There was a petition on Change.org that got 505 verified signatures. The petition stated: "For residents of Walton, Indiana, and particularly for those of us with children at Lewis Cass High School, the potential job loss of our beloved athletic trainer, Sally Young, is a deeply personal issue."
For a time it looked that Young might be out of a job at Lewis Cass.
But Parkview Logansport Hospital stepped up to the plate and saved the day.
Lewis Cass' previous superintendent Dr. Christopher Daughtry, who recently took the job at Wabash City Schools, also had an ****** ist, as well as the Lewis Cass school board.

Chrissy Metz has revealed that she is taking a GLP-1 medication after years of skepticism, saying concerns about her long-term health eventually persuaded her to reconsider.
The 45-year-old This Is Us star said perimenopause, obesity within her family and health problems involving her father all contributed to her decision. She discussed the treatment with her doctor and says she ultimately concluded that trying a GLP-1 could be beneficial for her.
Metz, who is now a brand ambassador for telehealth company Ro, says one of the biggest changes has been a reduction in what she calls "food noise", the persistent thoughts about food and what she would eat next. She has also reported improvements in mobility, joint pain, inflammation, energy and blood work.
Metz began taking a GLP-1 later, in 2026, after she had already publicly discussed changing her diet, exercising and working with a trainer.
Metz told PEOPLE that she had spent years **** uming a GLP-1 either would not work for her or would produce side effects she did not want. Her experience so far has been more positive than she expected.

The NFL preseason is quickly approaching for the Los Angeles Rams and so is a decision from defensive end Aaron Donald.
Donald has not played for the Rams since the conclusion of the 2023 season. The Rams already are considered to be the favorites to win the Super Bowl this upcoming season, and the addition of Donald would only further those odds.
Head coach Sean McVay has provided updates regarding Donald, who was recently listed as having a workout with the Rams in recent days.
The Rams followed NFL rules, listing Donald as someone who participated in a workout on the league transaction wire, which is required if the player uses team equipment, such as a helmet.
When speaking with reporters on Thursday, McVay had also mentioned that Donald had flown his speed trainer out to Los Angeles from Pittsburgh.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — The Los Angeles Chargers are entering the stretch of training camp where the calendar starts to matter.
Thursday's preseason opener against the Houston Texans is only days away, and Sunday's practice carried the feel of a team beginning to sharpen its focus. The pads are popping, competition is intensifying and coaches are getting a clearer picture of which players are ready to carry their work from camp into live preseason action.
There was plenty to watch on both sides of the ball Sunday, but the defense offered perhaps the most intriguing storyline.
A number of Chargers veterans and depth players did not practice, including safety Derwin James, left tackle Rashawn Slater, cornerbacks Tarheeb Still and Rodney Shelley, defensive back Noah Avinger, outside linebacker Bud Dupree, defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson and offensive lineman Laekin Vakalahi.
Defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe was on the field but left individual work with a trainer. He later met with the media after practice, providing an encouraging reminder of just how important his development has become to this defense.

Even though there's no deadline for Aaron Donald to decide whether he's going to come out of retirement or not, fans are getting impatient waiting for his decision. One thing's for sure, though: He looks ready to go.
Rams coach Sean McVay said last week that Donald brought his speed trainer out from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles and on Sunday, his trainer posted a video of Donald going through footwork drills with Braden Fiske and Desjuan Johnson.
He cruised through the speed drills, showing off the footwork he displayed throughout his Hall of Fame career. There's more that goes into playing in the NFL than simply being quick, but Donald doesn't appear to have lost a step at all.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk reported last Thursday that Donald was expected to make a decision in the coming days, but that timeline has been updated. Florio wrote on Sunday that Donald has shifted his timeline from "early this week to the end of this week."
There's no rush for him to make a decision, but the Rams would probably like to know his plans before Week 1. Then again, McVay sure looks like a guy who knows Donald is coming back, so maybe it's just the contract holding things up.

After having a severe knee injury with multiple torn ligaments that caused him to miss the entire 2025 season, wide receiver Tank Dell has returned to training camp for the Houston Texans.
Even though it is in a limited capacity, it is a step in the right direction to finally have him on the field. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans was certainly happy to see him able to get some time in during individual drills and running routes in camp.
"Tank looks really nice out there. You see him being explosive," Ryans said. "It's good to see him in routes when they're in individual drills. It's getting back in the swing of not doing things on the side. It gets lonely when you're in the return to football program and you're just off to the side working with the trainers. Now to get back in with your guys and actually do football things with football guys, it's really that big first step into the progression of getting back on the field. We're taking our time with Tank, allowing him to come along as he needs to in his time. He's doing an outstanding job with it. He looked really nice today, nice and crisp running his route. It's exciting anytime you see Tank on the field. As everybody understands, Tank's personality, his joy and love for football, you want to see that comeback story come to life. We're excited to see whenever that happens, we're all going to be very joyful for him."
There is currently no approximate timeline for when Dell will be able to play this season. However, he should certainly be back in action at some point this year.
Whenever he is able to come back, Dell will make an impact, especially after recording almost 1,400 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in his first 25 NFL games.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III is expected to miss some time as he recovers from a groin injury, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Burden went down awkwardly in practice Saturday and was seen leaving early with a trainer. While the good news was that the wideout was able to walk off under his own power, he was walking gingerly.
It looked like a lower-body issue, and now we know it is a groin injury. These issues can be problematic and easily aggravated, so the Bears may be a little more cautious with his recovery. The good news is that Chicago's regular season start is more than a month away, giving Burden time to recover.
The biggest problem in the interim is that without Burden, the Bears' wide receiver depth looks very thin.
Chicago opted to trade away veteran wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills in the offseason. That puts a lot of pressure and faith into the Bears' young wide receiver foundation in Rome Odunze and Burden.

ORCHARD PARK - The Buffalo Bills first practice at the new Highmark Stadium was dampened, literally, by a strong rain shower about halfway through, but also because of injuries to center Connor McGovern and running back Ty Johnson.
Coach Joe Brady did not have any specifics on either player and will meet with the training staff before announcing anything, probably when the Bills return to practice Monday at One Bills Drive.
Johnson went down during a one-on-one drill when he got behind linebacker Joe Andreessen with a nice move at the line of scrimmage, but as he pulled away downfield he suddenly went to the ground. At first it looked like he slipped - this was before the rain - but then he stayed down and ultimately walked gingerly to the locker room with a trainer.
Not long after that, McGovern left an 11-on-11 portion for a couple plays after chasing down a defensive player after an interception, then returned to center but re-injured himself and this time he limped off the field, flanked by trainers.
Lloyd Cushenberry and Sedrick Van Pran-Granger split the first-team reps after McGovern went off.

Commanders left tackle suffered a torn triceps during Saturday morning's training camp practices and will miss a large portion of the season, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Steve Wyche reported later that evening.
This is a major blow for the entire team, one that will have a significant impact on the 2026 campaign.
Tunsil suffered the injury during a 1-on-1 rep with edge rusher Odafe Oweh. He dealt with the bull rush and the pair locked arms, but Tunsil awkwardly disengaged and immediately clutched his arm and elbow.
He was immediately taken to the medical tent and went with trainers inside the Commanders training complex immediately after for further evaluation.
Garafolo, who was on-site at Commanders camp, reported that he would need further testing to inform the extent of the injury. The results came back with bad news.

The Buffalo Bills' first practice at new Highmark Stadium came with a couple of injury concerns.
Starting center Connor McGovern and running back Ty Johnson both left the field and headed to the locker room during Saturday night's Return of the Blue & Red practice.
Johnson was the first to go down.
The running back was injured along the right sideline during one-on-one receiving drills less than 30 minutes into practice. Trainers tended to Johnson on the field before helping him off and into the locker room.
McGovern left later during 11-on-11 team drills.
