Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Hollywood plans might be on hold. According to sources, their Netflix film projects haven't shown any clear progress since March. However, another source claimed that this is standard practice in the industry. Meanwhile, their production company has reportedly lost another executive.
Sources told Page Six that the Sussexes' Netflix films, "Meet Me at the Lake" and "The Wedding Date," remain in development. The first is based on Carley Fortune's bestselling book. It has reportedly been in development since August 2023, and it's believed to have an attached director whose identity remains under wraps. "The Wedding Date," based on Jasmine Guillory's novel, has been in development since 2025.
However, a second source called it simply how Hollywood works. "Things are not made in a day," the industry insider said. They explained that adaptations take a while, especially as producers work with the book writers on the script.
The couple's untitled scripted polo drama also hasn't received any update. Harry is reportedly working on a documentary about Princess Diana ahead of her 30th death anniversary. Netflix's potential involvement in the film currently remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Archewell Productions' longtime head of nonfiction, Chanel Pysnik, is reportedly leaving. She helmed the Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan." Page Six was told that she wanted a "new chapter." Following her exit, Nishika ******* ble, senior vice president of scripted television, remains a key executive in the company. The outlet reported last month that Archewell Productions was downsizing.

Marvell Technology (NASDAQ: MRVL) has been a big winner this year, with the stock up more than 130% in 2026, as of the end of October. However, an announced deal to acquire Lumentum (NASDAQ: LITE) could be a game changer for what has already been a good story.
This deal is all about optical networking, as it will combine Marvell's leadership in optical interconnects with Lumentum's strength in lasers. Marvell called the deal a "once-in-a-generation opportunity to define and lead AI connectivity in the era of integrated optics," as it will provide the company with end-to-end design capabilities that will allow it to accelerate its time to market and solve the increasing complexity of scale-up and scale-out networks.

Let's see what this could all mean for investors.
The two companies' optics technologies are very complementary. In an optical network, Marvell provides electronic components such as DSPs (digital signal processors) that prepare data to be converted into optical signals; transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) that convert light signals back into electrical signals; and silicon photonics (SiPho) engines that combine hundreds of components to improve the performance and energy efficiency of optical interconnects.

The biggest market gains don't always go to the investors who buy first. Sometimes they go to the ones who have enough cash left when everyone else is rushing for the exits.
Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban made that case last week on the "Diary of a CEO" podcast, urging investors to be patient as AI-related stocks surge. His advice is to resist the urge to chase every rally, keep some cash available and wait for the market to turn. That's when he believes the real opportunity appears.
"When that happens, that's when the real magic happens and where the real money is made," Cuban said. "The delayed gratification."
Cuban's approach reflects a lesson he ***** ociates with late Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK) (NYSE:BRK) Vice Chair Charlie Munger. In a conversation about long-term thinking and the temptation of get-rich-quick schemes, he pointed to Munger's belief that meaningful rewards require patience and effort.
"Even Charlie Munger used to say it all the time, right? There's no delayed gratification anymore. Never," Cuban said. "And if you don't realize you have to do the work first, you're not going to get the gratification."

Ja Morant's first game against Grizzlies takes painful turn after Trail Blazers star exits originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Ja Morant's first game against the Memphis Grizzlies was always going to attract attention. The former face of the franchise spent seven seasons in Memphis, developed into one of the NBA's most electrifying guards and became one of basketball's most recognizable personalities.
His departure in June marked a significant change for both Morant and the organization that selected him with the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Thursday night provided the first opportunity for the two sides to face each other.
Unfortunately for Morant, the reunion did not end the way he hoped. The Portland Trail Blazers guard exited with a left hamstring injury during the fourth quarter of a 124-103 loss to Memphis.

Speculation surrounding the long-term future of Ronald Araujo has intensified as his representative finally addressed the defender's mindset at Anfield. The Uruguayan international remains a central figure for the Premier League leaders despite persistent links to a continental exit.
The representative for Araujo has sought to clarify the Liverpool defender's current status following a wave of reports suggesting a potential move away from the Premier League. As one of the most consistent performers in the English top flight, Araujo has become a cornerstone of the defensive unit, leading to inevitable interest from across Europe's elite clubs looking to bolster their backlines.
However, despite the noise surrounding a possible departure, the message from his camp remains one of stability and contentment. His agent, Eduardo Crnjar, spoke about the player's current situation and how he feels about his surroundings in the North West of England. "Ronald is performing well , we're very happy with what he's offering, but it's still too early to talk about his future. He feels great, he's happy to be playing for Liverpool and helping the club and his teammates, as he's already said," Crnjar told WinWin Sports, as quoted by SPORT.
While the agent's comments provide some breathing room for the club, the broader context of the transfer market continues to loom over the situation. Several teams have been monitoring the Uruguayan's progress, aware that a defender of his calibre and age profile is a rare commodity in the modern game, especially given his proven track record in both La Liga and the Premier League.
The mention of a €55m valuation has frequently appeared in discussions regarding a potential transfer fee, a figure that many consider to be a bargain for a player of his international standing. Liverpool, however, would likely demand a significantly higher sum to even consider entering negotiations for a player who still has his best years ahead of him at the highest level of European football.

Former Man Utd and City star Carlos Tevez has opened up about the intense animosity he felt toward Gary Neville following his controversial cross-town switch in Manchester. The Argentine forward admitted he was left fuming by public criticisms made by his former captain after he swapped Old Trafford for the Etihad Stadium.
Tevez sent shockwaves through English football in 2009 when he traded Manchester United for fierce local rivals Manchester City. At the time, City were freshly armed with Abu Dhabi investment and determined to disrupt the Premier League's established hierarchy.
Tevez had enjoyed immense success at Old Trafford, securing two league ******* les and a Champions League crown. However, a bitter contract dispute triggered his departure across the city.
The Argentine striker felt aggrieved by Sir Alex Ferguson, claiming the legendary Scottish manager broke a verbal promise to sign him permanently after his two-year loan spell concluded. This tension laid the foundation for an acrimonious exit and a lingering rivalry with former captain Neville, who accused Tevez of disrespecting the manager.
The animosity between Tevez and Neville stemmed from the full-back's public ******* ertion that the striker had mishandled his departure. Speaking on Rio Ferdinand's YouTube channel, the scale of that friction was laid bare.

Arsenal have suffered a significant setback in their efforts to protect teenage sensation Max Dowman after an independent commission dismissed their appeal against his recent red card. Those hopes were quickly dashed when the Football ******* ociation shut down ******* nal's attempts to clear the youngster's name. Taking to X on Thursday, an FA spokesperson released a statement confirming that the original on-field decision would be upheld by an independent panel.

The Memphis Grizzlies, fueled by a triple-double from teenager Cameron Boozer, topped the Portland Trail Blazers 124-103 in a battle of NBA unbeatens on Thursday, Portland guard Ja Morant's first game against his former team ending with an injury.
Boozer, taken third in June's NBA draft, scored 18 points with 12 rebounds and 12 **** ists for the Grizzlies.

He also had a pair of lengthy suspensions and, after multiple injuries limited him to 20 games last season, he was traded in June.
Morant finished with 14 points, two rebounds and three **** ists before exiting in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury.

Nuggets' fatal flaw that will doom 2027 NBA championship chances appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Denver Nuggets have started the season off with just two wins in four contests, with both of those victories coming against the New Orleans Pelicans. Their latest victory, which came on Wednesday, was, at the very least, convincing, unlike their first win against the Pelicans which required them to come back from 23 down.
Injury problems are already giving the Nuggets trouble. Cam Johnson had to exit Denver's first game of the season due to an ankle injury, making life difficult for a team that's already missing sharpshooting forward Spencer Jones, whom they re-signed this past offseason.
There are already quite a few red flags that should worry Nuggets fans about their team through the early goings of the season. Perhaps the team rectifies it as the season moves forward, but some flaws may be too difficult to overcome as they seek out to compete for another NBA championship.

Green Bay Packers receiver Christian Watson suffered an injury at the end of a 53-yard catch during the second quarter of Thursday night's showdown with the Carolina Panthers.
Watson made the catch between two defenders while going to the ground. The Packers say Watson is questionable to return with a chest injury.
After being evaluated on the field, Watson walked off the field under his own power. He was evaluated inside the blue medical tent and then walked back to the locker room. The Prime Video broadcast showed Watson getting into an ambulance after exiting the field.
John Kuhn of the Packers Radio Network said Watson would be taken to a local hospital for "precautionary tests."
Watson appeared to land hard, and the trailing defensive back fell on his back to amplify the impact.

ATLANTA – Thank you for coming to the WNBA Finals! Also, please leave the building.
Now.
The circus surrounding the moving of this game to a 12:30 p.m. start time on a Thursday was bad enough, but I'm not sure we talked enough about the circus going on inside the building in order to pull this off.
Game 6, won by the Dream 80-69, was a major-league event with a minor league schedule.
Saturday's Game 4 gave us a preview. That game began at 1 p.m. and all working media and staff were required to leave the building by 4:30 p.m. to accommodate the Hawks-Rockets game taking place immediately afterward. Generally, if you're a burgeoning league trying to increase awareness and interest, it's not a great idea to shoo all your media partners out the door right as they're trying to tell the world all about your product. Logistically, it worked out, barely, as writers scattered off to ****** orted hotels and coffee bars to finish their stories, and happy fans had at least a few minutes to whoop and holler before exiting into a glorious 70-degree day … but imagine if it had gone to overtime?

Max Verstappen has joked that his former team-mate Daniel Ricciardo is "a smart man" for picking him for his dream Le Mans line-up. In fact, he revealed that the pair of them had already discussed the possibility of it.
In a recent interview with the Beyond the Grid podcast, the Australian talked about his time at Red Bull and his exit from Formula 1. While he discussed what was next for him, he said that a Le Mans entry could be on the list. When asked who he'd team up with, Max Verstappen was the first name on his list. Sebastian Vettel was also an option, making something he called a "nice little Red Bull reunion" of sorts.
"He's a smart man to choose me in the car," Verstappen joked. "But we have to see. It just depends on a lot of things."
The four-time world champion has made no secret of his interest in endurance racing with him recently competing at Portimao, where he and his team finished ninth. He did, however, stress that he would only take on Le Mans with full preparation.
"Also for me, if I want to do it, I want to do it proper with really good prep. And at the moment I cannot do that. I don't have the time - the free time to dedicate to a Le Mans project with all the other things that I'm also doing outside of Formula 1."

Ahead of Bayern Munich's DFB-Pokal match against FC Magdeburg, the team lined up on both sides of the tunnel exit for one reason: to give newly crowned 2026 Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane a guard of honor. The Englishman walked out to applause and cheers—a reception he found almost unbelievable.
"It was quite strange. I don't usually enjoy this sort of thing very much," Kane admitted (via Bild as captured by X account iMiaSanMia). "When I came out for the warm-up and everyone was standing there applauding, I don't know… I felt almost a little bit embarrassed. But of course, I realise that it's a big deal."
Although Kane remained on the bench for the entirety of the match, the Bavarians cruised to a 6-1 victory to advance to the next round. Up next is Der Klassiker this weekend in a high-stakes battle for the top spot in the Bundesliga.

Although Kane remained on the bench for the entirety of the match, the Bavarians cruised to a 6-1 victory to advance to the next round. Up next is Der Klassiker this weekend in a high-stakes battle for the top spot in the Bundesliga.

Yankees predicted to replace Jazz Chisholm with $12M two-time Silver Slugger winner, 4x All-Star originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The New York Yankees have a big offseason ahead after getting swept by their division rival, the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees wanted to make a deep postseason run, but ultimately fell short.
All eyes are now on free agents and players who could leave the team. One of those players is Jazz Chisholm Jr., but he would like to stay in New York.
"Chisholm, an All-Star for the second time in 2025, endured a down year at the plate and struggled both offensively and defensively in four appearances in the playoffs. Manager Aaron Boone left Chisholm out of the Yankees' starting lineup for two postseason games, including their season-ending loss on Wednesday. The fans at Yankee Stadium booed Chisholm after he fouled out to first base as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the seventh inning. Nevertheless, Chisholm would rather continue his career with the Yankees than exit in free agency," MLB Trade Rumors wrote.
Early in Chisholm's career, he wasn't always the best player off the field. Yankees legend Derek Jeter even had to get on him when he was an owner of the Miami Marlins.

The controversy surrounding Farid Basharat's UFC release continues to grow, with the former bantamweight now hitting back at Dana White's remarks. The 29-year-old was let go despite remaining unbeaten, finishing his UFC run with a perfect 7-0 record and an overall MMA record of 16-0.
One of the biggest talking points since Basharat's release has been his lack of finishes. Six of his seven UFC victories came by decision, but he consistently got the job done against tough competition. His most recent outing was a win over John Garza in July, adding to a resume that includes victories over Jean Matsumoto, Chris Gutierrez, and Taylor Lapilus.
White was asked why Basharat was not offered a new contract during the UFC Edmonton post-fight press conference. The UFC CEO suggested that a fighter's record is not always the only factor behind such decisions, pointing to possible issues with the matchmakers and fighters turning down bouts. He also hinted that there was a specific reason Basharat was not brought back.
Dana White hints there may be MORE to Farid Basharat’s UFC exit
“If you’re 16-0 with seven wins in the UFC and don’t get re-signed, there’s definitely a reason.”

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid delivers an update on Travis Kelce's injury after defeating the Chargers. Getty
After their bye week, the Kansas City Chiefs came back and crushed the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6. Their perfect record holds as they're now 6-0 on the season.
However, the game started with a big scare when Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce limped off the field with an ankle injury. After a questionable tackle by Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley, Kelce sat on the medical table and got his ankle wrapped.
Chiefs Kingdom collectively held their breath after Kelce's early exit, including his wife, Taylor Swift, who made it to Arrowhead Stadium after her big performance at the Academy Museum Gala. However, Kelce was able to return and finish the game, catching 4-of-5 targets for 53 yards.

Second Lady Usha Vance's scary moment exiting a helicopter with her newborn has sparked a heated debate online. Fans raised concerns about the incident and questioned why no one stepped in to help.
Second Lady Usha Vance nearly stumbled while exiting the Marine Two helicopter at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Monday, Oct. 5, PEOPLE reported. She had 10-week-old son Alec Neel Vance strapped to her chest in a baby carrier. Vance also carried a large leather diaper bag as she descended the aircraft's staircase.
She grabbed the railing after missing a step and quickly regained her balance. She then turned back toward the helicopter's entrance to reassure those nearby. According to lip reader Nicola Hickling, Usha told nearby officers, "I'm okay, and he's fine… thank you" (via The Mirror).
Vice President JD Vance followed her down the stairs moments later. He carried their four-year-old daughter, Mirabel, and did not appear to notice the incident. The family traveled to Anchorage, Alaska, for a Republican National Committee rally supporting Senator Dan Sullivan's reelection campaign.
The video quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), sparking safety concerns and criticism. One user questioned why no one intervened, writing, "Did ******* ody notice that Usha Vance is carrying a 9-week-old baby and a huge leather diaper bag, and she nearly FALLS down the stairs of Marine 2? The Air Force officers didn't move to help her, and her husband barely even acknowledges her."

Frank Fitzpatrick bought ~200 shares of Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-B) at $40 in 1976, sold after 14 months when the stock doubled, then bought back in at a higher price.
Fitzpatrick used his Berkshire gains to buy a Lake Tahoe lakefront home, fund an education nonprofit, and leave shares to his two children.
Fitzpatrick's habit of running back to Berkshire despite a painful early exit shows temperament, not timing, drives long-term investing success.
Building a portfolio and living off one are two completely different skills, and almost ******* ody teaches the second. This problem is what The Definitive Guide to Retirement Income helps, and it is free today. Read more here. (Sponsor)
In 1995, a family gathered on the deck of a newly purchased lakefront home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. According to The Wall Street Journal, they came together "for a group hug and said, 'Thank you, Warren'". The homeowner was Frank Fitzpatrick, a Lake Tahoe tax lawyer known to friends as "Forty-Dollar Frank."

As Sen. Thom Tillis exits the Senate, he's blasting many of the advisers President Trump has surrounded himself with as "sycophants, and calling on his colleagues to stand up to executive power like the co-equal branch of government they are."
The 66-year-old senior senator from North Carolina unloads on what he calls the "WTF moments" of the second Trump Administration in a new book, "How to Lose Friends and Antagonize Presidents." Having served in the Senate during the Barack Obama, Joe Biden and both Trump presidencies, Tillis said he's increasingly worried about how the nation's system of checks and balances is being tested by the outsized influence of the executive branch.
"We will have a sort of dictator king if we're not careful," he said.
Every recent White House has been eager to govern by executive order, something that's been especially true during the current Trump administration, Tillis said. Presidents, he said, fail to understand that Congress is a coequal branch that should be treated as a peer, and that Congress needs to act as such.

Jennifer Lopez is getting the "diva" treatment on social media again, this time over an umbrella. A video circulating on X shows the singer seated at an outdoor fashion show while a man standing beside her holds an umbrella overhead. The post accuses Lopez of making her bodyguard handle the task, bringing another round of attention to her alleged demands. The clip follows criticism of her New York City hotel exit earlier this year and a former television staffer's claims about her backstage dressing room.

X user Oli London shared the footage with the caption, "Jennifer Lopez branded a 'diva' for making her bodyguard hold an umbrella over her during fashion show."
In the screenshot of the post, Lopez sits with her legs crossed, wearing a brown outfit with a matching wrap across her lap. A man dressed in black stands beside her, seemingly her bodyguard, holding the umbrella above her seat. Other umbrellas are visible around the outdoor seating area.
