If Prince Harry has taught ******* ss Meghan anything over the years, it's how to look on the bright side.
The ******* ss of Sussex, who's been married to the British royal for nearly a decade, opened up about the emotional advice that Harry has given her for navigating life's adversities, while attending a screening Tuesday, July 28, for the couple's Girl Scouts documentary, "Cookie Queens."
According to People magazine, Meghan was asked during a Q&A at the event about how she gets through "tough moments," prompting her to recall a pearl of wisdom Harry had previously shared with her in their marriage.
"Funny enough, I was thinking about something my husband told me ages ago, because we all go through experiences and life is full of surprises," Meghan, 44, said, per People. "But you know, he was a helicopter pilot in the British Army for 10 years. And sometimes on really hard days … he said, 'Hey, but my love, you know, even if there's a storm happening, above the storm, the sun's always shining.'"
Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot in May 2018 in an ornate ceremony at Windsor Castle in Harry's native United Kingdom. Only the second time a member of the British monarchy has married an American, the union was met with manic fanfare on both sides of the pond.

Luis Robert Jr. doesn't want to be traded by the Mets.
"To be honest, I'd like to stay here," Robert told Anthony DiComo of MLB.com on Monday. "I don't like those types of moves or trades that just happen in the middle of the season and you have to move around fast."
Whether he prefers to stay in Queens with the Mets, Robert needs to brace for a trade.
Outfield is the least of the Mets' problems as the focus shifts to next season and beyond. With phenoms A.J. Ewing and Carson Benge blossoming into everyday players alongside superstar Juan Soto, it would be a surprise if the Mets picked up Robert's $20 million club option for next year. There's no spot for him to get consistent playing time.
Therefore, since Robert must be treated like a player on an expiring deal, the Mets will look to get as much back for him as they can. Bob Nightengale of USA Today used the word "desperate" to describe how badly the Mets are trying to move Robert this week.

With the IBF world light-middleweight ******* le in his possession, Josh Kelly feels "it's a different version of me" since he dethroned Bakhram Murtazaliev as he promised to "put on a show" in his maiden defence against Caoimhin Agyarko on Saturday.
Kelly had to bide his time for his opportunity, but the silky 32-year-old from Sunderland grabbed it with both hands with a majority points decision verdict against the Russian in January, improving to 18 wins with one defeat and one draw.
In some ways, 29-year-old Belfast challenger Agyarko has followed a similar path, enjoying big promotional backing in spells under the Queensberry and Matchroom banners, but was cut adrift by the latter following what was then a career-best win over Troy Williamson in 2023.
Both men will walk to the ring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's heavyweight return against Kristian Prenga fully aware of how tough it has been to get to this stage.
Kelly, who had to rebuild from a 2021 defeat by David Avanesyan, has rattled off eight successful wins, culminating in his ******* le victory over Murtazaliev in Newcastle, dropping the champion in the fourth before coming through a late storm and surviving his own 11th-round trip to the canvas.

Rosie O'Donnell speculated on why President Donald Trump is "so obsessed" with her, decades after their public feud began.
On the July 17 episode of the Work in Progress With Sophia Bush podcast, O'Donnell, 64, shared her theory about the ongoing beef the POTUS, 80, has with her.
"It's so crazy to me, Rosie," Bush, 44, said. "He's so obsessed with you."
To that, O'Donnell said, "I have a theory. We both grew up on Long Island. He grew up in Queens; I grew up in Commack… He grew up with girls like me: tough, probably gay, Irish girls who didn't take s*** from no stupid, rich-boy wannabe – a**hole, liar, megalomaniac, no social skills, no empathy, no compassion. I would have told him to his face in third, fourth, fifth grade."
She continued, "And I think when I did it to him. quote unquote, on The View, he couldn't believe that I had the ******* to attack him. Because he thinks he is heralded, and held up, and belongs on Mount Rushmore, and, you know, solved 108 wars, and is the No. 1 person on 'Tic Tac.'"

Jul. 14—Lucas Jumalon, the 22-year-old ace from Spokane, slid into the final table of the World Series of Poker on Monday night.
Jumalon entered Day 8 of the tournament with 40,800,000 chips, according to pokernews.com. He ended the night with a stunning 194 million chips.
His next closest competitor has 79 million chips, said Paul Burke, a spokesperson for the World Series of Poker.
On Day 8 , Jumalon won a single pot worth more than 50 million chips. Jumalon, who had a pair of jacks, bet big against Aussie Millions Main Event champion Malcom Trayner's pocket queens. The flop had a four, an ace and the jack Jumalon needed for a three-of-a-kind. With the river, came another four which gave Jumalon a full-house to easily beat Trayner's two queens.
Jumalon didn't stop there. He kept plundering chips until he eliminated Trayner. With Trayner out, Jumalon's pile of 194 million chips leaves him in an enviable position ahead of his debut at the Final Table.

Longleaf Partners, managed by Southeastern ****** et Management, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter for its "Small-Cap Fund". A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The letter states that the portfolio holdings are attractive now based on both P/V and P/FCF metrics; however, market winners have gone far higher than fair value. The Fund returned -2.47% in the quarter, underperforming the 21.49% return for the Russell 2000 Index and the 17.19% gain for the Russell 2000 Value Index. The underperformance in the quarter was driven by unexpected moves primarily in the IT and industrials sectors and market favor for speculative stocks. The Firm's investment approach focuses on median, unweighted multiples, prioritizing growth in free cash flow per share, the potential for multiple expansion, and strategic initiatives. In addition, please check the Fund's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Longleaf Partners Small-Cap Fund highlighted Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:ESRT). Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:ESRT) is a NYC-focused REIT that owns and operates office, retail, and multifamily ****** ets. On July 13, 2026, Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:ESRT) posted a one-month return of 3.36%, and its shares lost 30.49% over the past 52 weeks.
Longleaf Partners Small-Cap Fund stated the following regarding Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:ESRT) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Alexander's and Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:ESRT) – New York real estate companies Alexander's and Empire State Realty Trust both contributed in the quarter. Alexander's was the bigger contributor, as the company closed the previously announced ****** et sale of a non core property while signing a lease with Target to get its key shopping center in Queens fully-leased. It is getting harder for the market to ignore the steady FCF power and strong balance sheet of this company. Empire State also contributed but on a lesser scale in the quarter as the company closed a great ****** et sale itself that implies a value for the rest of its business that is over 2x the current share price. Both companies are on offense and able to continue closing their price to value gaps."
Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:ESRT) is not on our list of 40 Most Popular Stocks Among Hedge Funds Heading Into 2026. According to our database, 16 hedge fund portfolios held Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:ESRT) at the end of the first quarter, compared to 17 in the previous quarter. Swindon Town boss Ian Holloway was sent off during the latter stages of his side's 1-0 pre-season friendly victory against Spanish club Costa City in Alicante.
The club confirmed that the 63-year-old was dismissed in the 89th minute after an altercation with a Costa City player.
Friday's match, played in blisteringly hot conditions, was decided by a second-half penalty from Fletcher Holman.
The club added that Holloway reacted "following an incident of unsportsmanlike conduct by one of the opposition's players off the field" after it was alleged that the former Queens Park Rangers, Blackpool and Crystal Palace manager had been struck in the face by the ball.

Alfred Johansson will get his first introduction to the Motherwell support in Friday's friendly against Belgian side Genk, but Thursday marks a week until the first leg of their Conference League second-round qualifier against HB Torshavn.
Excitement is building among the fans of the Fir Park club, yet there is also some concern bubbling away about the readiness of the Lanarkshire side as the start of their European campaign approaches.
Two key players from the team that mesmerised the fanbase throughout last term have departed, with goalkeeper Calum Ward joining Queens Park Rangers and Callum Slattery departing for Sheffield Wednesday.
No direct replacements have been signed for either yet, with forward Willy Vogt and centre-back Martin Moorman the only signings of the window so far.
Meanwhile, speculation will not go away regarding the futures of Elliot Watt and Elijah Just, who returned for pre-season training last week following his excellent showings at the World Cup with New Zealand.

A surge in shark sightings and a swimmer's shark bite have beachgoers on the East Coast on high alert.
A small sand tiger shark is likely what bit a man who sustained non-life-threatening lacerations to his foot while swimming at Jones Beach State Park Field 6 on Long Island over the Fourth of July weekend, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation determined.
The beach was temporarily closed while state officials searched for more sharks, but they reopened it to restricted swimming after an hour.

The Sox have also held down the lower reaches of their division much of the year but have played better of late, including a sweeps of the Yankees and Angels each of the last two weekends.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Premier Boxing Champions officially became part of DAZN's roster of promotional partners on Thursday, and while the Teofimo Lopez-Rolly Romero welterweight ***** le fight will carry the marquee value on August 22, the more consequential story to come out of the press conference at the Avalon in Hollywood may be everything the deal unlocks below it.
DAZN's head of boxing in North America, Britton Hardin, called PBC the last major promoter needed to bring nearly the entire sport under one roof, joining Matchroom, Queensberry, Top Rank, Golden Boy, Boxxer and Salita Promotions. TGB Promotions' Tom Brown noted the platform actually opens July 25 with Errol Spence Jr. facing Tim Tszyu in Australia, with Lopez-Romero following as the first ***** le fight of the new relationship. Both men framed the deal as removing the biggest obstacle boxing has dealt with for years: division. Hardin put it bluntly, saying the goal is to stop keeping fighters siloed on separate networks and start building the matchups fans actually want.

Of course the New York Mets lost another player. That's just how the season is going in Queens.
Mark Vientos fractured his right hand Thursday, July 9 when a pitch from Kansas City's Michael Wacha ran inside and caught him on a checked swing in the second inning. He stayed in to run, came out an inning later and will land on the injured list, interim manager Andy Green confirmed after the Mets' 7-3 win over the Royals at Citi Field.
Green did not indicate a timeline for Vientos' return, but broken bones traditionally take six to eight weeks.
The injury is one more thing that has gone wrong for the Mets in a season where everything is going wrong.
The Mets opened the year with baseball's highest payroll at $358 million, then lost 12 consecutive games in April. They fired manager Carlos Mendoza in late June – the franchise's first in-season managerial change since they axed Willie Randolph in 2008 – days after a six-error game against the Cubs.

The New York ******* ans played their first home game at the Polo Grounds on Sept. 11, 1960; they played on the field as renters, not owners. After a name change and 66 years as a franchise, the Jets still have the same problem: they are effectively homeless.
The New York Jets have played in four different stadiums in their franchise history. The Jets moved to the Mets’ Shea Stadium after a four-season stint at the Polo Grounds. The Jets and Mets shared the stadium from 1964-1983. New York was forced to move to New Jersey after failing to secure stadium funding. The Jets and Giants began their stint as stadium roommates in 1984 and have been sharing since.
Gang Green’s undergone plenty of change throughout franchise history, but one constant has remained — the Jets do not have a home they can call their own. If the Jets ever hope to be talked about with franchises like the Packers and the Steelers, they must find their own stadium.
If the Jets are to move, where should they go?
The Jets were born in Queens, moved to New Jersey, and had a failed move to Manhattan. The franchise has ties to the city, but the boroughs are not an option.

SYDNEY (AP) — Flyhalf Sam Prendergast kicked a conversion with three minutes left, after replacement forward Thomas Clarkson scored a try, to give Ireland a 33-31 victory Saturday over Australia in their Nations Championship opener.
At a sold-out Sydney Football Stadium, the Wallabies led 24-19 at halftime after early tries by Dylan Pietsch and Jock Campbell. But the Irish stayed in touch through touchdowns from Cian Prendergast and Josh van der Flier, with Jamison Gibson-Park scoring a try on halftime to keep them in the match.
After the lead had changed seven times in the 10-try match, Ben Donaldson had the chance to give Australia the winning points, but he pushed a penalty attempt wide from more than 40 meters in the final seconds.
The match marked the start of the end of Joe Schmidt's coaching era at the Wallabies and close to the beginning of the Les Kiss era. Under Schmidt, Australia was winless in its tour to Britain late last year and was on a four-match losing streak.
Schmidt will stay on for two further Nations Championship tests against France in Brisbane next Saturday and vs. Italy in Perth on July 18. Kiss will officially take over on July 20 and is currently concluding his duties with the Queensland Reds Super Rugby side.
