The 87-year-old college basketball personality shared the message on X, noting that he's responding well to treatments.

Former New York Rangers star Ron Duguay is out of the hospital after last week's collapse and working to regain strength for his newest cancer treatment, his daughter announced.
Shay Thomas said last week on Instagram that the 12-year NHL veteran, who has been dealing with Grade 4 colon cancer that has spread to his liver, was taken to the hospital after fainting at his house, suffering facial injuries. She said doctors determined he had severe dehydration because he had been feeling sick and was having trouble eating.
Thomas provided a new update on Duguay, 69, after his release from the hospital.
"He still isn't feeling his best or eating much, but he is taking it day by day, trying to get down some soup and slowly regain his strength," she wrote.
"Our main focus is getting him strong enough to travel back to Orange County and return to City of Hope. His next treatment will be Bizengri, also known as zenocutuzumab-zbco, a targeted therapy that works by blocking certain signals that can help cancer cells grow. We are praying this will be the treatment his body responds to."

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An employee was among three people killed in a shooting at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in southern Idaho, the fast-food chain's owner said.
"My heart is broken, my chest is heavy, my eyes burn from the tears I've shed. We lost one of our beautiful **** ociates tonight," In-N-Out owner Lynsi Snyder said in a statement released early Sunday on social media. "In-N-Out will be mourning with the families and praying for them as they tread through a very painful season."
The FBI on Sunday encouraged the public to submit images and videos related to the shooting Saturday in Twin Falls that left seven other people wounded, some critically.
The In-N-Out had opened just about a week earlier, on July 24, as part of the California-based company's recent expansion to Idaho.
Snyder did not identify the worker. Officials were still trying to notify relatives of victims and so were not yet releasing the names, ages or other details about the people hurt in the shooting, Twin Falls spokesperson Josh Palmer said Saturday.

According to a report Page Six published Thursday, July 30, Keough, 70, discussed her prognosis via email, writing, "It's upsetting to know that even after all this treatment, I still only have a 40 to 60 percent cure rate within the next five years. We're just praying that I'm on the good side of that coin flip."
She continued, "I can see the finish line now, but I'm hearing it's a long climb to recovery and that I'll likely have the feeding tube for two to six months."

90 Day Fiancé couple Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh are pushing back on claims that her amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis has worsened to the point where she has become dependent on her husband.
Slatten, 68, and Singh, 38, recently addressed the rumors in a video shared to Instagram on Monday, July 27.
"She is still able to do walking, talking, and everything, and she is not depending completely on anyone or even not on me," Singh began. "What you're seeing on some pages – people are posting that she is on a hospital bed and unable to do anything, which is a lie."
Slatten, who was sitting beside her husband in the clip, shook her head in agreement.
He added that she didn't "like" the rumors about her mobility, adding that they were "still hoping and praying that there will be a solution, that there will be a treatment" for Slatten's diagnosis.

Telford Hornets Rugby Club are one of many who said the pitches they play on are dying because spending to irrigate would cost them thousands of pounds, money which they do not have.
Since 15 June, most of England has recorded less than 10mm of rain, which has meant many clubs are praying for a sustained downpour.
The club's chairman, Neil Thomas, said they have had to learn strategies to keep their pitches in as good condition as possible, so they can continue playing on them.
As many sport teams return from their off-season, players are faced with the prospect of playing on hardened pitches, which physiotherapists say increase the chances of soft tissue injuries.

An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk in California's Santa Clara County, per the California Post.
The warrant is for a "misdemeanor charge of exhibition of speed." The charge stems from a video Aiyuk himself posted to his YouTube channel in December 2025, showing him speeding past Levi's Stadium.
The video was taken from the wide receiver's position in the driver's seat and shows the speedometer. During the video, Aiyuk traveled more than 100 mph past the stadium. The wide receiver wanted to show off the Cadillac CT5 V Blackwing, and he did so by driving around Santa Clara.
When the video was released, the public reacted with a stark backlash over the lack of safety in it. The wide receiver apologized on social media for the video and said that any future car content wouldn't feature any more speeding.

Legendary Washington coach Joe Gibbs remembers Monte Coleman

While the NFL world has focused on the 2026 NFL Draft this week, it's been a difficult few days for the Washington Commanders. On Sunday, Washington lost a franchise legend when former linebacker Monte Coleman died. He was 68.
An 11th-round pick back in the 1979 NFL Draft, Coleman would go on to play 16 NFL seasons — all with the Redskins. He played on four Super Bowl teams and was a three-time Super Bowl champion. Coleman wasn't just on those teams; he was a key defender for years. Coleman was one of the NFL's most athletic linebackers throughout his career. That type of skill set would make him valuable in today's NFL.
The loss of Coleman has impacted Washington fans and several legendary former Redskins. Tributes have poured in for Coleman, including from Commanders Wire. It's almost impossible to encapsulate what Coleman meant to many of his former teammates, coaches and the fans. Not only was Coleman a terrific player, but an honorable man.
On Wednesday, Hall of Fame Washington coach Joe Gibbs weighed in on Coleman's passing.
"Monte meant so much to the Washington community," Gibbs wrote. "He was a fan favorite. He played his entire 16-year career with us, and only Darrell (Green) played in more games in franchise history. He was a key part of all our Super Bowl teams. He was really respected by his teammates, leading by example through his preparation and his workout routines. He really had a tremendous work ethic. He applied all those same qualities into his coaching at University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. But more impressive than all of that is the type of person that Monte was. He truly was well liked by everyone he came into contact with. We are praying for his wife, Yvette, and his children."
