PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Richwoods had a big comeback win against Mohamet-Seymour in flag football, avenging a one-point loss from last season. The Bulldogs led the Knights 22-18 with six minutes left in the game, but Richwoods scored a pair of late touchdowns. The go ahead touchdown game with Anjaliyah Adams for the go ahead touchdown to put the Knights up 24-22 and then Acosia Morris would put the game away in the final minute with a rushing touchdown as Richwoods defeated Mahomet-Seymour 30-22.
In other flag football action Normal Community had a big 19-12 win over Joliet Catholic. Bailey Engel continued to chuck the ball all over the gridiron as she had a couple more touchdown passes.
In volleyball Limestone was at the Lincoln Invitational looking to win the tournament for the second consecutive year, but the Rockets fell in three sets to O'Fallon.
Washington competed in the Williamsville Invitational where the Panthers took down the host school in straight sets.

After an epic 11-inning win Friday night against the Phillies, the Braves were hoping to finish them off in the division race. They got a bit of a boost from the Phillies scratching Jesus Luzardo with long-running shoulder soreness.
Tyler Mahle cruised through the first two hitters before Bryce Harper hit a monster homer and took a comical amount of time rounding the bases, clearly hitting back at the controversy from Zach Wheeler's comments about Ronald Acuna's home run celebrations last week. The Phillies had to be feeling good with a 1-0 lead for a couple innings there, until the Braves essentially ended the game with 8 runs in the fourth inning. Ronald Acuna kicked things off with a towering homer (and a normal home run trot).

Potential home buyers and refinancers hoping for some mortgage rate relief instead saw rates creep toward, and in some reports, top 7%.
Yields were mixed Friday, with the 10-year Treasury remaining just below 5%.
In an interview Thursday evening with conservative strategist Steve Bannon on "War Room," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent disputed the talk that the buyback program failed.
"This whole nonsense today that our operation didn't work — well, our operation didn't work, because we only had $10 billion of offers for our buyback program," Bessent said. "Normally, we get $20 billion, and we only buy the bonds back cheap. People seem to want to keep their long-term bonds, because we only had half as many offers. So, it's a bunch of noise, and in my career, I made money ignoring the noise."

On Friday, as New York commemorated the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, Saracini threw out the ceremonial first pitch with Jeter watching from the mound before the Yankees hosted the crosstown Mets.
"I remember just talking about anything and everything and anything that kind of came through my mind that day and you just made it so comfortable and I remember just feeling normal for a day, which was hard to do," Saracini said while sitting next to Jeter at a news conference. "The odds were stacked against me that day but I remember just taking a minute and just having normal conversations and just feeling like a kid."

More than 1,600 miles away, in the shadows of the ever-altered New York City skyline, 10-year-old Thea Trinidad watched — as she always did — after experiencing an upheaval most do at some point in their life, but few as suddenly as her.
"That one's specifically always stuck out to me," Trinidad, a former WWE champion who performed under the alias Zelina Vega, tells Uncrowned. "I remember that one specifically, I saw all of the wrestlers get really emotional and seeing Lillian, still I always tell her: 'Yours is still my favorite to hear.'
"It just felt like, in that moment, the thing that I loved most was kind of shining a light on my dad. In a way, it kind of felt like it was just for 9/11, and it felt like it was just for those people. The U.S. Treasury Department said Wednesday that it plans to buy $6 billion of government debt this week as part of an effort to reduce long-term borrowing costs and maintain liquidity in the bond market. The buyback operation, which triples the normal level of $2 billion per week, will continue at a higher level moving forward, Treasury said, with at least $4 billion in debt purchased each week for the next few months, and perhaps longer.
This week's buyback, which is scheduled for Thursday, will focus on 10- and 20-year Treasury bonds. Yields have been rising on those bonds, along with other durations, as investors confront the reality of persistent inflation, massive investment in artificial intelligence and rising government debt levels around the world.
Treasury Secretary Bessent said Tuesday that the buyback operation is intended to reduce the "fever that was building" in the bond markets.
The markets did not respond as hoped. Treasury yields rose after the announcement Wednesday, with the yield on long-duration bonds rising as much as 5 basis points in volatile trading, though yields fell back in later trading.
"It doesn't seem like the patient's feeling much better," Adam Josephson of Sakonnet Research wrote in a note, per Investopedia.

Vertiv Holdings (VRT) bounced off its 200-day moving average last week and then crossed above the 50-day moving average on Tuesday. **** ysts are bullish on Vertiv stock with an average price target of 336 a share. However, Wednesday morning saw the stock pulling back below its 50-day line. Can it hold recent support?
When it comes to options, we normally look at short-term trades — anywhere from one week to one month. Today, we will look at a slightly longer-term bull put spread.
Longer-term option trades tend to move a little slower than shorter-term trades. That allows more time to adjust or close, but also means a lower annualized return.
As a reminder, a bull put spread is a defined-risk strategy, so you always know the worst-case scenario in advance. This type of trade will profit if Vertiv stock trades sideways or higher, and even sometimes if it trades slightly lower.
With Vertiv trading around 270, if we use the Dec. 18 expiration, we can sell a 230 put and buy a 220 put to set up the bull put spread. That spread is trading around $3.20 a share.

BUENOS AIRES, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Argentina's corn exports are expected to reach a record 10 million metric tons in August and September, driven by a ****** per harvest and strong international demand as buyers seek alternatives to Ukrainian supplies disrupted by war and European crops battered by extreme heat.
The world's third-largest corn exporter is wrapping up its 2025/26 harvest, estimated at 71.7 million tons, nearly 20% above the previous record set five years ago, according to government data.
"Argentine corn right now is very competitive in price and in volume," Gustavo Idigoras, head of the CIARA-CEC grains exporters and crushers chamber, told Reuters. Normal export volumes for August-September typically reach about 3 million tons, he added.
Idigoras said demand from North African countries — typically buyers of Ukrainian grain — has been the primary driver. "In the last months we've had meetings with several North African countries, who want to have deeper commercial ties with Argentine exporters," he said, without naming specific countries.
