BarriC's $750 XRP target extrapolates the token's historic 500x rally from 2017, ignoring that it implies a staggering $47 trillion market cap.
At $750, XRP's market cap would dwarf Bitcoin's entire $1.73 trillion valuation 27 times over, requiring capital inflows unprecedented in any market.
XRP must first climb 143% just to reclaim its $3.65 all-time high, making a 500x moonshot an extraordinarily remote possibility.
Building a portfolio and living off one are two completely different skills, and almost ******* ody teaches the second. This problem is what The Definitive Guide to Retirement Income helps, and it is free today. Read more here. (Sponsor)
Crypto ******* yst BarriC recently suggested that XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) could potentially reach $750 if it replicates the extraordinary 500-fold increase seen in 2017 and 2018. This prediction has gained traction in the XRP community on social media platform X, where BarriC has made bold price forecasts for years.

Miranda Lambert just confirmed long-standing rumors that she and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger got into a bar fight back in 2010.
Appearing on the Thursday, October 1, episode of The New York Times' Popcast podcast, the country singer, 42, was asked whether it was true she once "hit Chad Kroeger in the face."
The question came after Us Weekly reported more than 15 years ago that the Canadian rocker, 51, "kept persisting" that the three-time Grammy winner do shots with him at her 27th birthday party. At the time, the outlet reported he said she "didn't have to be a [expletive] about it," before she "grabbed a shot and threw it in his face."
Joking that she was "nervous" to answer the question now, the "Somethin' Bad" singer then admitted, "I threw moonshine in his face. I did do that." She also said she "wrecked" his trademark long locks.

Stephanie Vaquer is once again the WWE Women's World Champion. The native Chilean pulled off the rare untelevised **** le change at a house show Saturday night in Santiago, Chile, dethroning Liv Morgan at WWE's live event at the Movistar Arena.
Becky Lynch served as the special guest referee for the **** le match.
The finish saw Vaquer hit Morgan with her corkscrew moonsault before Lynch counted the pinfall, ending Morgan's reign at 147 days. Lynch raised Vaquer's hand after the match before the two embraced as the new champion celebrated her victory.
History made in Santiago tonight….

Vaquer's second ascension to the throne arrived less than a week after Morgan successfully defended the belt against her on Monday's episode of "WWE Raw." That match ended in controversy after interference from Morgan's Judgement Day stablemates, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, helped Morgan retain.

ATLANTA — Tennessee football fans will get two free cookies because Braylon Staley scored a touchdown against Georgia Tech.
Staley is UT's current so-called "Cookie Monster" for Moonshine Mountain Cookie Co., which gives fans two free cookies when the wide receiver scores a touchdown as part of his NIL deal.
The 18th-ranked Vols played Georgia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 12. But fans can pick up their free cookies on Monday, Sept. 14, at Moonshine Mountain Cookie Co. in Knoxville.
Staley's 20-yard TD catch in the second quarter earned the free cookies for UT fans.

In the wee hours of Thursday morning, catcher Jose Trevino was once again pitcher Jose Trevino as the Cincinnati Reds wrapped up a 14-1 drubbing at the hands of the mighty Los Angeles Dodgers. The Reds managed just 6 hits in total on the night, their lone run coming off the bat of superstar Elly De La Cruz as he launched a moonshot off Yoshinobu Yamamoto to log a home run in his fifth consecutive game.
The loss sunk the Reds to the third worst run differential in the sport behind only the hilarious Colorado Rockies and homeless Athletics. Not exactly where you want to find yourself when you're supposedly on the upswing of one of Nick Krall's infamous rebuilds.
Now, the Reds head into Milwaukee to face the mighty Brewers, off whom they managed to take two of three in Great American Ball Park just last weekend. Safe to say, I expect there to be some revenge on the minds of those beermakers.
Lefty Andrew Abbott looks to turn the tide on his wayward season with the start in Friday's series opener at American Family Field that I still choose to call Miller Park. Dustin May takes the mound for the Beers, meaning this may well be Cincinnati's best chance to sock some dingers and actually take home a win in the series.
First pitch is set for 7:40 PM ET. Here's how the Reds will line up to start:

A large sinkhole has opened up up outside a house in Malibu reportedly belonging to Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage.
The sinkhole, estimated to be 30ft (9.1m) by 30ft, appeared after the driveway collapsed and follows heavy rain in southern California over recent days.
Local media said that no injuries had been reported. BBC News has asked representatives for Cage for comment.
The actor bought the home in 2024, according to a report in the New York Times shortly after the sale.
Cage won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas and is also known for films such as Gone in 60 Seconds, Face/Off and Con Air, as well as Pig, Moonstruck and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

It really just feels like each series the Atlanta Braves have been in lately has been like them leaving a snake pit for a lion's den only to realize that they've stepped into a piranha's pond and escaped that just to find out that the dry land was quicksand. "I don't know how much more battle-tested we need to be," quipped Walt Weiss when he was asked by the media during Tuesday's pregame press conference about the tough schedule that the Braves have been dealing with as of late — and still have to navigate going forward.
Indeed, one of the takeaways from this patch is that the Braves will have faced some of the toughest teams that baseball currently has to offer once they eventually reach the Postseason and they should be more-than-ready to handle whatever's in front of them. With that being said, the Braves had to deal with another serious test in the form of the Tampa Bay Rays and once the smoke cleared, it was less about acing the test and more like simply doing enough to pass the test. Did Atlanta manage that? Let's get into it.
This one was competitive for two innings, as the Braves matched Junior Caminero's two-out dinger off of AJ Smith-Shawver in the first inning with a run of their own in the bottom half of that frame. The deadlock didn't last long at all, as the Rays made the third inning a long one for Smith-Shawver. AJSS was one out away from potentially putting two outs on the board against the Rays in that inning. Instead, Liam Hicks sent one flying into the Georgia night sky for a two-run shot. Smith-Shawver was one out away from keeping it at 3-1 before Victor Mesa Jr. hit a bouncer that eluded the glove of Ozzie Albies and dribbled into the infield for an RBI single that made it 4-1.
AJ Smith-Shawver was only able to make it through 3.1 innings with those four runs allowed, but credit is due to Brent Suter for going 3.2 innings while only giving up a single run while he was out there. Elieser Hernández wasn't as fortunate, as he surrendered two runs across his two innings of work and then got the DFA treatment once the next morning rolled around. It really felt like the Rays were either ****** ing and dunking or hitting moonshots, there was no in-between in this one.
Meanwhile, a nasty trend for the Braves was emerging while they were on the mound. It's not particularly shocking that Freddy Peralta ended up going six innings with just one run allowed since he'd done pretty well in two previous starts against Atlanta with the Mets. It wasn't shocking either to see the Rays bullpen clamp down on the Braves they did on Tuesday, either. What was shocking is that the Braves came out of this game with 11 batted ****** that were at least 95-mph that ended up turning into outs. Folks, that's tough!

Our **** ysts just identified a stock with the potential to be the next Nvidia. Tell us how you invest and we'll show you why it's our #1 pick. Tap here.
Christopher Waller stood up at a Reuters event Thursday and paraphrased John Lennon at a room full of bond traders. "Give disinflation a chance," the Fed governor said. "We can wait one meeting." Somewhere a rates desk put down its sandwich.
Stocks took it as a gift. At noon, the S&P 500 had climbed just over 1%, the Nasdaq 1.4%, and the Dow tacked on 640 points for a 1.2% gain and its best session since Aug. 4. The 10-year Treasury yield eased to about 4.75% after spiking Wednesday.
The Fed's benchmark, the overnight rate it charges banks to borrow from each other, currently sits in a range of 3.50% to 3.75%, and markets have spent weeks bracing for it to go higher on Sept. 16. Higher rates make a boring government bond paying you nearly 5% look awfully good next to stocks so we can forgive the equity jockeys who have been deprived of good news for a few moons from getting a little giddy when Waller signaled he'd hold if August inflation behaves and knocked hike odds from 63.2% to 50.4%, per CME FedWatch. Even if those traders are rejoicing on what's basically now a coin flip.
July's vote was 9 to 3 to hold, with Beth Hammack in Cleveland, Neel Kashkari in Minneapolis, and Lorie Logan in Dallas all wanting a quarter point more, the most dissents at a single meeting since 2016. Not one governor joined them. Warsh, for all his talk about inflation being a choice, has voted to sit still both times he's run the room.

Chinese diversified technology conglomerate Tencent (TCEHY) recently reported that its new artificial intelligence (AI) model performs better than models belonging to relatively newer labs like Z.AI and Moonshot. While Z.AI is known for its General Language Model (GLM), Moonshot's Kimi models have grabbed headlines following the release of its flagship K3 model.
Now, Tencent claims its Hy4 Preview has reportedly outperformed the models of these newer AI upstarts. Primarily aimed toward coding, game development, and scientific research, the model works on 770 billion parameters, has 49 billion active parameters per token, and a token context window exceeding 1 million.

BEIJING/SINGAPORE, Aug 26 (Reuters) - China's Moonshot AI is negotiating revenue-sharing agreements with Microsoft, Amazon and Alphabet's Google that would allow the U.S. cloud giants to host its blockbuster Kimi K3 model, three people familiar with the talks said.
Any deal could mark the first big revenue-sharing pact between a Chinese AI firm and a major U.S. cloud company.
The discussions highlight how China's leading AI models, often far cheaper than Western offerings, are gaining traction in the U.S., despite national security concerns in Washington that have led to bans on exports of AI chips to China. They are also taking place despite critical comments about Moonshot from senior U.S. officials.
IPO-bound Moonshot is seeking up to a 30% share of revenue generated from K3-related services on Microsoft's Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, according to the sources who declined to be identified because the discussions are private.
That would be in line with terms that sources have said the startup has outlined for major customers using the open-weight model.

Best and worst Premier League jerseys this season: Ranking the best kits, from Fulham style to Bournemouth horror originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Few things are more pleasing to the eye than the beautiful game. At its best, the ball dances through the mist, caressing one foot, then another. The moonscape brushes off chests, ricochets off heads and twirls through the brisk night sky, all before nestling its way into the corner of the net.
Given the aesthetics on display during an average match, it's little wonder why apparel companies have invested in football so heavily. The Premier League is inundated with high-profile outfitters, including Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and Hummel. Each company is tasked with conjuring up kits that have their own distinctive feel and look about them.
That doesn't always come to fruition. But when it does, the harmonies linger in the concourses for a little longer. In a sport filled with heartache, that might make it all worth it.
With that, here's a look at the best and worst kits set to cloak Premier League players during the 2026/27 season.

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) released a new open-weight AI model called Muse Glimmer on August 10, a compact system built for agentic tasks that can run on a Mac or PC with a single graphics card. CEO Mark Zuckerberg used the launch to press Washington for lighter rules on open-source AI, arguing that Chinese developers have pulled ahead. The release lands squarely inside the debate that has been rattling Meta's stock all summer: whether the company's AI ambitions are actually worth what they cost.
Muse Glimmer's design speaks to real demand. Businesses have grown uneasy about the size of their AI bills, and about a string of recent hacking incidents tied to models built by Anthropic, OpenAI and Meta itself. Open-weight systems answer both worries by running locally and staying cheap to operate. Hugging Face illustrated that shift last month, saying it deployed a Chinese-made open-weight system to fend off an attack traced to a rogue OpenAI model, since closed-source options are restricted from that kind of security work. If Meta can position Muse Glimmer as a trusted domestic alternative for that exact use case, the addressable market is not small.
None of this changes what still pays Meta's bills. Advertising brought in $114 billion in the first half of 2026, 97.7% of total sales, and Wall Street expects that business to keep compounding at a 21.6% annualized clip through 2028. Zuckerberg is also betting AI sharpens that ad targeting further, which is part of why Meta paired the Muse Glimmer release with a governance change, giving independent directors power to sign off on safety criteria before future models ship. Add in early plans to sell spare data center capacity to outside buyers, and Meta has more ways to monetize its AI buildout than the spending headlines usually suggest.
The launch does not erase the fact that Meta is behind in open-weight AI. By Zuckerberg's own account, Chinese labs including Moonshot's Kimi K3, Alibaba's Qwen3.8-Max and DeepSeek's V4-Flash already deliver performance that rivals top US systems, while Meta and its domestic peers remain boxed in by training-data rules Zuckerberg says put American developers at a disadvantage. Muse Glimmer is smaller and narrower than Meta's frontier ambitions, and Washington adds its own uncertainty: the Trump administration has said it will not subject open-weight systems to voluntary safety testing, leaving the ground rules for a technology already tied to hacking incidents unsettled.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Baltimore Orioles have continued to stick with Gunnar Henderson at the top of their lineup despite his season-long slump only getting worse over the past month.
It paid off Tuesday.
Henderson entered their game against the Minnesota Twins hitless in his last 16 at-bats and carrying a .675 OPS that ranked 127th among the 142 qualified players across MLB. Yet there he was in the leadoff spot once again, thrust front and center atop an Orioles lineup whose overall struggles this season have mirrored that of their star shortstop.
This time, he took advantage. Henderson singled off Twins starter Bailey Ober's second pitch of the game and went on to go 3 for 5, finishing a triple short of the cycle. His two-run home run in the second inning was one of three the Orioles launched in their 5-2 win. It marked the first multi-hit game for Henderson since July 20 and served as a reminder of what kind of player the 25-year-old can be when he's going right.
Baltimore (58-62) homered off Ober in each of the first three frames. Pete Alonso took him deep a few pitches after Henderson's first-inning single for his 26th of the season, and Christian Encarnacion-Strand launched a 460-foot moonshot to straightaway center field in the third. Encarnacion-Strand's blast was the longest by an Oriole since Jordan Westburg went 461 feet against the Atlanta Braves on July 5, 2025.

Most new NFL head coaches arrive at their jobs with muted expectations: Win a few more games than last year. Maybe make the playoffs. Stop embarrassing us as a franchise and a city.
For Joe Brady, new head coach of the Buffalo Bills, the expectations are more straightforward: Win a Super Bowl. Or else.
That's what happens when you take over a team that won 12 games last season, a team quarterbacked by an MVP in the absolute prime of his career, a team that's spent the last seven years beating its fists **** on the heavy iron door of the playoffs. Forget honeymoons; Brady's seat may as well be warm already. And he's just fine with that.
Play Yahoo's new College Fantasy Football game: Create or join a league now!
"I didn't take this job to shy away from expectations. I sure as **** did not do that," Brady said days after taking the job. "I'm embracing it. I'm understanding it. And I'm meeting it full-on. I know what I signed up for and I'm going to embrace it because no one rises to low expectations. I want what this city wants."

Forget honeymoons; Brady's seat may as well be warm already. And he's just fine with that.

Aug 7 (Reuters) - Chinese startup Moonshot's flagship AI model, Kimi K3, escaped a cybersecurity testing environment developed by the UK AI Safety Institute, research firm Frontier Security said on Thursday, raising concerns over the cybersecurity risks posed by advanced AI systems.
AI models are typically run in isolated "sandboxes" during cybersecurity tests to block access to external information and ***** s their ability to solve problems independently.
Kimi K3 bypassed one such sandbox, allowing it to access information beyond the test environment, U.S.-based cybersecurity research firm Frontier Security said.
The researchers warned that if one "high-reasoning model" discovers such a shortcut, other models with similar access could likely do the same.
As Kimi K3 is a publicly available model, the researchers cautioned that it could be used by "adversarial actors," making the incident potentially more harmful.

DeepSeek gave Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) and Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) a revealing price comparison on August 3. Artificial ***** ysis estimated that DeepSeek's V4-Flash averaged just $0.03 to complete each test in its benchmark suite while scoring 50 on its Intelligence Index, matching Google's Gemini 3.6 Flash.
Three cents is the average cost of completing each benchmark test, not a normal customer query, and the index combines nine coding, reasoning, and workplace tests. More capable models from Moonshot, OpenAI and Anthropic scored at least seven points higher. Still, V4-Flash costs $0.14 per million input tokens and $0.28 per million output tokens. That makes model intelligence cheap enough to pressure pricing for routine enterprise workloads.
Source: unsplash
Alibaba has two ways to monetize that pressure. Alibaba Cloud's AI Gateway already supports DeepSeek V4 APIs and can route workloads between DeepSeek and Qwen. Alibaba also unveiled its own 2.4-trillion-parameter Qwen3.8-Max on August 3, sending its Hong Kong shares up 7%. Its cloud revenue grew 38% in the March quarter, external cloud revenue rose 40%, and AI products reached 30% of external cloud sales. The catch is severe spending: group revenue rose only 3%, while Alibaba plans to exceed its earlier RMB380 billion three-year AI commitment and is treating margins as secondary.
What that creates is a demanding unit-economics test. Lower inference prices can pull customers into Alibaba Cloud, but revenue compounds only if workload volume grows faster than prices fall and those users also buy storage, networking and databases.

This is the second part of this series, where the game is that I get to victory lap these wins while not being held accountable for any potential misses. These are the made up rules of a bold predictions column. If you want straight-forward takes, please visit the Yahoo Ultra Draft Guide, which includes over 150 pages of advice from the Yahoo crew and a draft strategy lab where you can test different approaches.
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
If you missed the QB and WR bold predictions, head here to read more.
The bar to be in the top-five is really high, and it'll take one of these fringe Round 1 RBs to accumulate enough pass-game work to pair with a very strong goal-line role. Walker is my favorite roll of the dice, especially on Yahoo, where his ADP is well into Round 2.
The Chiefs paid him handsomely after a Super Bowl MVP with the Seahawks, and that was their only skill position change of the offseason, one that featured their top receiver going to jail and their top tight end going on honeymoons with the most famous woman in the world. Walker will be the focal point of the offense as Patrick Mahomes comes back from a torn ACL. When head coach Andy Reid had quality backs, he turned them into fantasy football league-winners. Duce Staley, Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy, Kareem Hunt, etc. Walker could match what Shady McCoy did in his final three seasons with Reid: a 1,825 scrimmage-yard pace. I'd also argue this is the best OL that Walker will run behind, so his explosive play rate could jump another tier.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – New observations of some of Neptune's moons and rings are providing evidence of a catastrophe that occurred billions of years ago around the solar system's outermost planet in which a Pluto-sized interloper caused a celestial demolition derby.
Researchers used NASA's James Webb ***** e Telescope to examine the composition of three of Neptune's small inner moons — Proteus, Larissa and Galatea — and its inner dusty rings, and detected clay minerals that one might expect to find deep inside certain worlds in the outer reaches of the solar system. These magnesium-rich minerals are known to exist on the dwarf planet Ceres, which orbits in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, and in some meteorites.
"These minerals require prolonged contact between liquid water and rock to form," said planetary scientist Ryleigh Davis, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, San Diego, and lead author of the study published in the journal Science Advances.
"The moons themselves are far too small and cold for that chemistry to have occurred in place, so the clay had to come from somewhere else — the deep interior of a much larger ancient world. Finding this material on Neptune's inner moons points to a catastrophic event in Neptune's past that destroyed those ancient worlds and exposed their deep interiors, with the small moons and rings we see today re-forming from that wreckage," said Davis, who worked on the study while at Caltech.
First possible exomoon may change definition of what a moon is

Trading at about a $17 share price, Nano Nuclear Energy (NASDAQ: NNE) has the sort of moonshot potential that could turn a modest investment into something larger.
That's not because of the low sticker price. Any cheap-looking stock could pop at the drop of a hat, but only those with a compelling business model to match will sustain their gains over the long term.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
For Nano Nuclear, the long-term upside is tied to future energy consumption. The technology being built, a nuclear microreactor, could be essential for generating the kind of reliable, round-the-clock power that many industries need, including data center operators, military and research bases, and mining and industrial sites.
Electricity demand is expected to rise sharply enough that **** ysts at Bank of America believe nuclear energy could unlock a market opportunity worth up to $10 trillion over the next 25 years.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said American companies should be free to use Chinese open-source artificial intelligence models, positioning himself against Trump administration officials and U.S. AI labs that have sought to restrict them.
"These Chinese models are excellent," Huang told Axios on Tuesday. "Open-source models that are excellent should be used." He said companies should "absolutely" be allowed to use them.
The remarks came as the release of Kimi K3, a model from Beijing-based Moonshot AI that combines near-frontier performance, lower prices, and open weights, has rattled chip and AI stocks, reviving concerns that cheaper models could undercut the case for large AI infrastructure spending. Huang argued Wall Street has the situation backward. "Free AI should be great for hardware," he said. "Free AI should be great for chips. Free AI should be great for data centers." Cheaper and more accessible models draw more people into AI ecosystems, he argued, and that broader adoption ultimately drives up demand for the chips and data centers that Nvidia provides.
Huang also rejected the argument that downloaded Chinese models create a security backdoor to Beijing. Companies can customize those models and run them inside secure environments, he said, and openness makes AI more secure because outside researchers can inspect models and identify weaknesses. "If everything just becomes one single model, one single point of attack, one single source of failure, I think the world is much, much more vulnerable," he said.
His comments came hours after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox Business that the administration is examining Chinese AI models for evidence of stolen U.S. intellectual property and considering sanctions. "If we see ... that overseas models are stealing from our great companies, we have the ability to sanction them because of this theft," Bessent said, according to Axios. Huang said companies should still face consequences for violating privacy or contracts, but he argued the response should target misconduct, not the models themselves. "Distillation, learning from AI, learning from other sources of knowledge, is fundamental to intelligence," he said.

Giverny Capital ******* et Management, LLC, an investment management company, recently published its second-quarter 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The model portfolio returned 13.70% this quarter, compared to the S&P 500's 15.20% return. YTD, the portfolio gained 5.89%, while the index increased by 10.21%. The long-term link between stock appreciation and earnings growth is strong; Benjamin Graham described the market as a "voting machine" in the short term and a "weighing machine" in the long term. Despite the S&P 500's 10.2% rise in the first half of the year, 210 stocks lost value, indicating market anomalies. High-quality earnings compounders that benefit from AI capabilities are likely to maintain their competitive edge. Recently, the market has increasingly chased momentum. Tech giants are taking advantage of the optimism of investors amid fears of an AI bubble. Despite strong profit margins, reliance on "moonshot" investments raises sustainability concerns. The author recommends investing in both emerging tech leaders and established firms. In addition, please check the Strategy's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Giverny Capital ******* et Management highlighted Arista Networks, Inc. (NYSE:ANET) as one of its leading performance contributors. Arista Networks, Inc. (NYSE:ANET) is a high-speed switching and cloud networking solutions provider for hyperscale users. On July 21, 2026, Arista Networks, Inc. (NYSE:ANET) closed at $174.58 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $219.82 billion. Arista Networks, Inc. (NYSE:ANET) posted a one-month return of 7.94%, while its shares gained 54.44% over the past 52 weeks.
Giverny Capital ******* et Management stated the following regarding Arista Networks, Inc. (NYSE:ANET) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Our two largest positions are Alphabet and Arista Networks, Inc. (NYSE:ANET), which I believe have strong positions in the emerging AI economy. Arista is the leading provider of networking equipment for hyperscale data centers. As AI traffic grows exponentially, data center owners increasingly need signal to move seamlessly not only within a given data center, but between data centers. The demands on the routers and switches that direct the flow of traffic are considerable. As the most sophisticated networking provider, Arista's growth may accelerate in coming years. As for portfolio activity for the quarter, we trimmed Alphabet and Arista. We sold about 20% of our position in Arista in April in two tranches at an average price of about $160. The stock finished the quarter higher than our sale price. Arista and Alphabet remain our largest positions as of June 30. The valuations on both are high enough that future returns likely will be lower than we're used to, even if the businesses continue to grow."

In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Giverny Capital ***** et Management highlighted JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM). JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) is a leading financial services company that provides financial, commercial, ***** et and wealth management as well as investment banking services. On July 21, 2026, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) closed at $345.23 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $917.69 billion. JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) posted a one-month return of 3.53%, while its shares gained 16.33% over the past 52 weeks.
Giverny Capital ***** et Management stated the following regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Roughly 40% of the Index outperforming the average and 60% underperforming is not so unusual, but two-thirds of that lagging group underperforming by more than 10 percentage points seems like a lot. Even this level of dispersion might make sense if most of the earnings growth in the Index was concentrated in the 200 stocks that were up double digits. This is not the case. We own Index constituents such as Charles Schwab, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM), Mastercard and Progressive Corp. that continue to grow their earnings per share at healthy rates and in some cases at higher rates than usual, but whose stock prices are lagging. JP Morgan has compounded earnings in the low teens over the past decade, with growth accelerating recently, but the stock lags the market this year."

In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Giverny Capital **** et Management highlighted Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL). Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL), the parent company of Google, offers various platforms and services, including online search and advertising, cloud solutions, and artificial intelligence, and is a significant contributor to the Strategy's performance. On July 21, 2026, Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) closed at $347.15 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $4.22 trillion. Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) posted a one-month return of 0.54%, while its shares gained 82.49% over the past 52 weeks.
Giverny Capital **** et Management stated the following regarding Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Our two largest positions are Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Arista, which I believe have strong positions in the emerging AI economy. Alphabet has a near monopoly in search, a robust cloud data center business, a leading computer chip used in AI data centers, a highly profitable **** et in YouTube and the premier autonomous driving platform in Waymo. It has built a tremendous collection of **** ets.
As for portfolio activity for the quarter, we trimmed Alphabet and Arista. We sold 17% of our position in Alphabet in April at about $380. Management subsequently sold $80 billion of stock in a secondary offering at $350 to raise money to fund more investment in data centers. I feel we did the responsible thing in trimming Alphabet as it got to nearly 12% of our portfolio. Arista and Alphabet remain our largest positions as of June 30. The valuations on both are high enough that future returns likely will be lower than we're used to, even if the businesses continue to grow."

Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU) stock has shed close to 29% of its value over the past month, but it has nothing to do with fundamentals. The tailwinds of the memory cycle remain intact, and each day further proves that AI demand is rising. The current dip presents a compelling buying opportunity that may not be around much longer.
Continue »
Moonshot AI's large language model product Kimi AI recently shared an X post that enhanced Micron's bullish thesis. The Chinese company explained that it can no longer take on new customers for its open source LLM because it has run out of available compute. This decision was made to "protect the experience of existing subscribers."
Kimi is a chatbot with a similar setup to OpenAI's ChatGPT, where you can enter prompts or have AI agents perform tasks. Each of those prompts and AI agents requires compute from GPUs, and the GPUs need memory chips to remember everything and function more efficiently.
Kimi AI's news demonstrates parabolic demand for its services, which can only be met by buying more memory chips. This event isn't limited to Kimi AI. Other companies have more GPUs or are taking extra precautions to ensure they do not run out of compute. If other businesses don't want to turn away customers amid soaring demand, they will have to buy more Micron chips.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the U.S. is considering sanctions on China over its alleged "theft" of U.S. large language models.
On Bessent's list are Chinese open-weight AI models like Moonshot's Kimi, DeepSeek, and GLM of z.ai, as well as the tech giant Alibaba. We don't yet know what these proposed sanctions would look like.
As of today, we do not know what these proposed sanctions would look like. If imposed, they could restrict or ban Chinese open-weight models and push U.S. developers toward the best budget-friendly intelligence stateside.
Bessent on Tuesday told Fox Business that frontier AI companies like Anthropic and OpenAI face what he called "IP theft" from Chinese AI models that "distill" their products.

The consensus of Wall Street **** ysts says Progressive will report lower earnings this year than last, as auto insurance rates are in decline after years of rate inflation. Progressive's growth rate is indeed slowing, but for the first half of 2026 its EPS rose 7%. Despite this, the share price dropped 4% for the first half of the year. We added to our position in June. For the first time in years, Progressive has been buying back its stock."
