Aug 10 (Reuters) - Retail investors who spent weeks defending ***** eX through its post-IPO run turned net sellers on Friday, marking the first such instance since the company's blockbuster debut in June.
Mom-and-pop traders sold a net $4.5 million in Elon Musk's rocket company on August 7, the first net negative reading since the company went public on June 12, according to Vanda Research data.
"A shift from persistent net buying to selling is rarely about one catalyst, it is usually a mix of profit-taking, position fatigue and investors reassessing the risk-reward," said Sam North, market ***** yst at etoro.
"Friday is particularly interesting because retail turned net sellers while the shares were rebounding strongly and trading back around the IPO price. That looks more like investors using strength to take some money off the table than panic selling."

Bechtel has taken over management of the site designated for Poland's first nuclear power plant, as the project shifts from design and planning to large-scale site preparation and construction.
The transition from Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe (PEJ) to the US-based engineering company coincides with the start of earthworks at the Choczewo site, marking a key development in Poland's long-term energy strategy.
Bechtel will now oversee construction operations, coordinate contractors, supervise activity on site and ensure safety standards throughout the project.
According to the company, more than 400 people are currently involved in the initial site works, with about one-third of the workforce recruited locally in Poland. This number is expected to increase as preparations progress.
Bechtel project director Ed Gore said: "As we ****** ume responsibility for the site and begin the first permanent plant work, with the initial earthworks contract, we are focused on safely advancing the project, working closely with our Polish partners, and creating the platform for the next phase of work that will ultimately deliver a new source of reliable, carbon-free energy for Poland."

There's no need to let the AP top 25 and Coaches Poll have all of the fun — let's talk about another poll. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will start the season ranked No. 3 in the first FWAA-NFF Super 16.
NOTES:
Ohio State, last season's Big Ten runner-up, opens the season at No. 1 after receiving 28 of 56 first-place votes. It marks the Buckeyes' 25th all-time appearance atop the preseason poll and their first since 2015. Only Alabama (62) and Georgia (37) have more No. 1 appearances.
Oregon begins the season at No. 2 following an appearance in last season's College Football Playoff Semifinals, marking the highest preseason ranking in program history. The Ducks' previous best was No. 4 in 2024.
Notre Dame also enters the season at its highest preseason ranking ever at No. 3, surpassing its previous best of No. 6 in 2025 and 2022.
Texas is No. 4, joining Ohio State and Georgia as the only teams to open each of the last three seasons ranked in the top five.
Defending national champion Indiana is No. 6 and makes its first appearance in the preseason poll in program history.
Miami (FL) is the ACC's lone ranked team at No. 7, while Texas Tech, at No. 11, is the Big 12's highest-ranked team.
The SEC leads all conferences with seven ranked teams, followed by the Big Ten with five, the Big 12 with two, the ACC with one and the FBS Independents with one.
Since 2015, the eventual national champion has been ranked among the top six of the preseason poll a total of nine times. Alabama in 2017 is the only national champion during that span to open the season at No. 1.
ABOUT THE FWAA-NFF SUPER 16 POLL:
The FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll was established at the conclusion of the 2013 season by long-time partners, the Football Writers ****** ociation of America (FWAA) and the National Football Foundation (NFF). Voters rank the top 16 teams in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, and the results will be released every Sunday of the 2026 season; the individual votes of all members will also be made public. The first regular season poll will be released on Tuesday, Sept. 8 (to account for Labor Day games), and the final poll will be released Sunday, Dec. 6. The pollsters consist of FWAA writers and College Football Hall of Famers who were selected to create a balanced-geographical perspective. The poll utilizes a computer program designed by Sports Systems, a TicketManager company, to compile the rankings and Kellner Ratings to publish the individual votes.
Kind of an interesting note here… Notre Dame received the second most 1st place votes with 9. When you look at the individual ballots, however, you can see a few things that stick out about Notre Dame's ranking — but the one that sticks out the most comes from former Notre Dame defensive lineman, Chris Zorich, who ranked the Irish at No. 10 to start the season.

LegalZoom.com (NASDAQ:LZ) had one of the roughest weeks in its history, and it happened almost right on top of a product launch. On August 4, the company announced a new agent integrated into Microsoft 365 Copilot, putting business formation, compliance filings, and attorney consultations directly inside the productivity tool millions of small businesses already use. Two days later, on August 6, the stock dropped 30% after second-quarter earnings revealed a guidance cut. Investors now have to decide which story matters more.
The Copilot integration is a meaningful distribution move. Instead of asking small business owners to leave their workflow and visit LegalZoom's site, the new agent lets Microsoft 365 Copilot users compare business structures like LLCs, corporations, nonprofits, and DBAs right where they are already working. A founder can ask Copilot how to start a business, get walked through a formation checklist covering state, name, and ownership, and see LLC packages with pricing, all backed by LegalZoom's 100% accuracy filing guarantee. The same agent connects users to attorneys in LegalZoom's network for consultations on contracts, intellectual property, and employment matters, complete with attorney bios and available appointment times for either async chat or scheduled calls. LegalZoom even generates an AI-powered briefing document so attorneys walk into each consultation with context on the client already in hand.
That product push lands on top of a subscription business that has actually been performing. Subscription revenue rose 11% in the second quarter, marking five consecutive quarters of double-digit growth in that category, the part of the business LegalZoom is leaning into most. Total revenue came in at $205.3 million, up 7% year over year and roughly in line with what ******* ysts expected. For investors willing to look past this week's news, the forward price-to-earnings ratio of 6.22 is strikingly cheap for a company still growing its highest-margin revenue line by double digits.
The reason the stock fell 30% is that the good subscription numbers came wrapped in bad news elsewhere. Management said abrupt changes to Google's search algorithm hurt the company's traffic from the world's largest search engine, a serious problem for a business that depends heavily on customers finding it online. In response, LegalZoom cut its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $795 million to $805 million, down from a prior range of $810 million to $830 million. The company also trimmed the top end of its adjusted EBITDA guidance to $195 million, down from a previous ceiling of $200 million. Adjusted net income, which excludes certain accounting items, actually fell 3% to $27.4 million, or $0.16 per share, even as revenue grew. Management is now taking what it calls a more cautious approach to customer acquisition while it works to offset the search disruption with subscription and specialized product growth, a pivot that will ta

George Russell and Carmen Montero Mundt are engaged after six years together, marking a major personal milestone for the Mercedes Formula One driver.
Russell and Montero Mundt announced the news in a joint Instagram post on August 9. The photographs showed the couple during what appeared to be an intimate, candlelit dinner beside the beach, with Montero Mundt displaying her engagement ring.
The couple kept the announcement simple, captioning the carousel with only a ring emoji and a white heart.
The proposal came just two months after Russell publicly described Montero Mundt as part of his future and said he expected them to marry within the next five years.
The engagement carousel included four photographs from the occasion. In one, Russell kissed Montero Mundt as she held up her left hand to display the ring. Another showed the couple beside a candlelit dinner table under the evening sky.

TONIGHT'S GAME: The first-place Houston Astros (60-58) continue their six-game road trip with the third game of three-game series against the San Diego Padres (61-57) at Petco Park.
RHP Cristian Javier (1-2, 6.59 ERA) will be on the mound for the Astros for sixth start of the season tonight, opposite RHP Randy Vásquez (7-6, 4.19 ERA) and the Padres.
THE TURNAROUND: After a slow start to the season, the Astros are 40-27 since May 22, which is the second-best record in the AL in that span. On that date, the Astros were 20-31, 11 games under, which is their low water mark for the season.
THAT'S OFFENSIVE: The Astros lead the AL in SLG (.417), and OPS (.739), while ranking second in home runs (160), OBP (.322) and hits (981). In the Majors, the Astros rank third in homers, trailing only the Nationals (170) and Yankees (166).
EL REPTIL: Tonight's Astros starter RHP Cristian Javier is making his sixth start of the season and his third since returning from the IL in early July. He has split time between being a starter and reliever since his return, making four relief appearances and two starts. Since returning from the IL, he's recorded a 3.50 ERA (7ER/18IP) with 19 strikeouts, a .257 opponent batting average and a 1.33 WHIP. In his last start on Monday against the Blue Jays at Daikin Park, he allowed three runs on seven hits and no walks with two strikeouts in six innings, marking his first quality start of the season (last, Sept. 17, 2025 vs. TEX).

Not sure if we have a guest recap today. I didn't hear back from the scheduled recapper, and didn't see them in the GDT either. So just in case, I'm going to throw up a quick one for now: if a proper recap shows up, this one can quietly wander off into the sunset. I think it's definitely worth marking the fact that today was the first time since 2018 that the D-backs have won the season series over the Dodgers. Now, it's still highly likely to be nothing more than a moral triumph. Los Angeles are still 7.5 games ahead of Arizona, so there's unlikely to be any need for any tie-breaker. But it still indicates this team is certainly playing them tougher than some previous years.
And few players deserve that "tougher" label than Eduardo Rodriguez, who threw 115 pitches over seven innings of two-run ball. It was certainly needed, on a day where the team effectively had four relievers off the board. That was a full ten pitches more than any Arizona starter this year. The last time any D-back threw more was more than nine years ago, Robbie Ray tossing 122 on June 30, 2017. [Of course, Randy Johnson passed that number on an almost everyday basis: twenty-one times in both 1999 and 2001] E-Rod scattered five hits and two walks, with nine strikeouts and improved his record for the year to 11-4.
View Link
The offense jumped out on Justin Wrobleski early, putting up a crooked number in both the first and second innings. After a Geraldo Perdomo walk to start the game for the D-backs, Ketel Marte cranked his twentieth home-run of the year into the left-field bleachers, for a quick 2-0 lead. In the second frame, a Ryan Waldschmidt bunt [let's take the arguments as read, shall we?] caused an error which brought home a run, and a Corbin Carroll double gave Arizona a 4-0 advantage. The offense largely shut up shop thereafter. They went 0-for-14 against the Los Angeles bullpen, and were 0-for-7 with RISP. But it was definitely a case of "good enough."
The Dodgers pulled runs back in the third and sixth, but a Freddie Freeman double-play in the eighth, when he represented the tying run, was the end of their real threat. Kevin Ginkel, much-maligned in some quarters, came in for the ninth, notched a 1-2-3 inning with two K's for his first save of the year, reducing his season ERA to 3.60 – pretty respectable, I'd say. There should be some relief (literally) arriving for the team, with the news the D-backs have signed Zack Littell, the former Nats pitcher, likely to act as a long-man in the bullpen. They just have to pay the prorated MLB minimum, Washington covering the rest.

SEOUL, Aug 6 (Reuters) - North Korea has deployed troops, weapons and now, according to a Ukrainian intelligence official, a missile unit to support Russia's war against Ukraine, marking Pyongyang's most significant involvement in a war since the 1950s.
Here is what is known about the growing military ties:
WHAT ARE THE LATEST REPORTS?
A North Korean missile unit has begun deploying to western Russia and could be equipped with up to 120 ballistic missiles and six launchers for attacks on Ukraine, an official at Ukraine's GUR military intelligence agency said.
The unit comprises about 90 North Korean personnel and is expected to be based in Russia's Voronezh region, the official said. The United States is aware of the North Korean deployment, a source familiar with the issue told Reuters.

HYPE has turned a $10,000 entry since its November 2024 launch into roughly $175,000 today, dwarfing XRP's $14,110 return since 2021.
XRP's $28 price target by 2030 could turn $10,000 into $271,800, but the Senate delayed the CLARITY Act vote until at least September.
HYPE generates fees from every trade that fund monthly buybacks, tying token growth to trading volume rather than legislative outcomes.
Two retirees, same $1 million, same 4% rule, buy one finished with $1.4 million, the other hit $0 in 12 years. Our free reader guide explains the flaw that separated them, and the income-first method built to avoid it.
A $10,000 investment in XRP on January 1 at $1.85 is now worth $5,568, marking a 44% decline over the last seven months. Over the same period, Hyperliquid performed better, turning a $10,000 investment at $25 into $22,400, which represents a 124% gain.

Last week was busy for Veritas Capital.
On Thursday, the New York-based private equity firm, which makes investments in government-adjacent and regulated industries, agreed to acquire Texas-based Saber Power Services, marking its third acquisition announcement in less than a week.
Days earlier, it agreed to acquire federal contractor Steampunk and environmental consultancy Trinity Consultants, and submitted a 914 pence-per-share proposal for London-listed Bodycote, valuing the industrial services company's equity at about £1.56 billion ($2.1 billion).
The bid places Veritas in a takeover contest with CVC Capital Partners, which proposed 915 pence per share. The bidders face a Sept. 2 deadline.
This dealmaking spree followed Veritas's July agreement to buy facilities management and engineering business BGIS.

On July 30, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) released its fiscal third-quarter 2026 report, and the company's shares dropped as much as 10% in the sell-off. This was a striking reaction to a quarter that produced record earnings per share and beat Wall Street's revenue estimates. The drop says less about what Apple just did and more about what investors think comes next: a memory chip shortage squeezing costs, and guidance that fell short of what ******* ysts wanted to see.
Start with the iPhone, still Apple's biggest business by far. Global smartphone shipments fell 6.7% year over year, per IDC data, and Apple was one of only two major manufacturers to grow instead of shrink. Its iPhone shipments climbed 15.3% year over year, outpacing Samsung's 8.1% increase and marking the second straight quarter Apple posted the industry's fastest unit growth. iPhone revenue reached $54.25 billion, up nearly 22% and above the $53.86 billion Wall Street expected. Because revenue grew faster than estimated unit shipments, average selling prices trended higher for the period.
The iPhone 17, released late last year, drove what CEO Tim Cook called an "incredible blowout" quarter, and customers continue to upgrade ahead of Apple's traditional autumn product cycle and expected software enhancements.
Apple is dealing with a DRAM and NAND shortage pushing supply costs higher industrywide, and management expects to pay even more for memory this quarter than it just did. Apple guided fiscal fourth-quarter gross margin to 47% to 48%, down from the 50.1% it just posted, a sign memory costs keep climbing. Apple can either absorb that hit to margins or pass the cost to consumers who are already watching their spending.
That's part of why the outlook disappointed. ******* ysts had modeled 12% revenue growth for the fourth quarter, but Apple guided to just 9% to 11%, with supply constraints expected to weigh on iPhone, iPad and Mac sales. Services revenue also missed, coming in at $30.7 billion for growth of about 12%, the slowest of Apple's three largest categories even as it extended a streak of 12 straight quarters of double-digit growth. That matters because Apple's premium valuation leans heavily on services staying the high-margin engine that keeps expanding.

Start with the iPhone, still Apple's biggest business by far. Global smartphone shipments fell 6.7% year over year, per IDC data, and Apple was one of only two major manufacturers to grow instead of shrink.
Total revenue came in at $205.3 million, up 7% year over year and roughly in line with what **** ysts expected.
Management is now taking what it calls a more cautious approach to customer acquisition while it works to offset the search disruption with subscription and specialized product growth, a pivot that will take

NEW DELHI: India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant made a rather unusual public appeal in the early hours of Saturday, directly requesting Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to help him acquire land in the state so he can shift his base from Delhi and build his first home in his native state.
Pant, who is currently in Sri Lanka with the Indian team for the two-match Test series, took to social media platform X to make the request, tagging Dhami in a lengthy post. The 28-year-old said he had been trying to find suitable land in Uttarakhand for the past three years but had struggled to find a property that could meet his requirements.
More importantly, Pant made it clear that he wanted to return to his roots and contribute to the state after years of representing India on the international stage.
"pushkardhami ***** o sir how's you ??? It's a long time for me especially being local from Uttrakhand . I have been trying to buy land to shift my base from Delhi to Uttrakhand and I couldn't find anything facilitating and big to live here I love my Uttrakhand. Pant followed it up by clarifying that he was not asking for land as a free gift, but wanted to purchase it from the government at the applicable rates.
"A gift would be lovey for representation out states at the highest level internationally stages but if you allow me I wanna buy it fromGovernment and on there rates at least I can have my first house built in my own state and our state please be helpful. Seriously didn't know how to do it," he further wrote.
The posts quickly went viral, with Pant's unusual request drawing significant attention on social media.
Pant was born in Roorkee in Uttarakhand's Haridwar district and began his cricketing journey there before moving to Delhi to pursue the sport professionally. He eventually established himself as one of India's premier wicketkeeper-batters across formats.
Although Pant continues to represent Delhi in domestic cricket, he has repeatedly maintained a strong connection with Uttarakhand. His latest posts underline his desire to eventually make the state his home and contribute to its development.
His appeal also comes just days after Pant emerged as Uttarakhand's highest individual taxpayer for the 2025-26 financial year, having reportedly paid Rs 23.84 crore in income tax.
The figures were announced by the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Uttarakhand, during an event marking Income Tax Day on July 24. Pant topped the list of individual taxpayer

Mondi has introduced a packaging format that pairs a corrugated outer carton with recyclable flexible packaging marked by laser.
The design is aimed at e-commerce and bag-in-box uses and can be applied to several flexible packaging formats to support circularity and form supply chains.
Artwork is added directly to the flexible packaging during converting through laser marking technology, removing the need for standard decorative printing and printing plates.
Mondi said this makes it easier to customise packs, update artwork quickly and adjust designs in response to shifts in market demand and consumer preferences.
The format can be used across different flexible packaging types, including reels, pre-made pouches such as the re/cycle StripPouch, and larger pre-made bags.

Diamond Hill Capital, a First Eagle Investment Management company, issued its Q2 2026 investor letter for its "Mid Cap Strategy". A copy of the Q2 2026 investor letter can be downloaded here. In the quarter, equity markets posted strong returns as resilient economic growth and robust corporate earnings supported investor sentiment, although AI-related companies continued to dominate market leadership. Technology was the strongest-performing sector, while industrials also advanced and energy lagged as oil prices declined. The Fund returned 7.92% and the Russell Midcap Index returned 13.83%. Health care holdings were the largest positive contributor, supported by strength across managed care, diagnostics, and life sciences. However, stock selection and an underweight position in information technology remained the main relative headwinds. The strategy maintained limited exposure to highly valued semiconductor and memory companies, reflecting concerns that current valuations **** ume an extended period of elevated AI spending. It also continued to **** s software and services businesses individually based on how AI may affect their long-term competitive positions. Management emphasized higher-quality companies, attractive valuations, capital preservation, and durable long-term compounding while remaining cautious about elevated valuations, concentrated leadership, and the sustainability of the current AI investment cycle. Please review the Strategy's top five holdings for its key selections.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Diamond Hill Capital Mid Cap Strategy highlighted Veralto Corporation (NYSE:VLTO) as a newly added position. Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) has lost about 37% of its value since hitting an all-time high just a few weeks ago. It was trading at around $345 a share then -- and it's at about $218 now.
Normally, a steep decline of that caliber would tell you something went wrong with Bloom's business. In the case of the hydrogen stock, however, the opposite is the case.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Indeed, the company's most recent earnings report was arguably its strongest yet. Bloom raked in over $1 billion in revenue, marking its first billion-dollar quarter in company history, and both margins and profitability improved significantly. To top it off, management raised 2026 revenue guidance (again) into the range of $3.9 billion to $4.2 billion.
What's more, Wall Street expects Bloom's revenue to more than triple over the next two years, as the artificial intelligence (AI) boom will likely fuel stronger demand for its solid oxide fuel cell systems.

Former India opener Aakash Chopra believes Bhuvneshwar ******* ar's lack of regular 50-over and first-class cricket could prove to be a major hurdle if he is to force his way into India's plans for the 2027 ODI World Cup.
While praising the veteran seamer's performances in the IPL, Chopra said preparing for a 50-over World Cup requires sustained workload management, something that cannot be achieved by playing only T20 cricket.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra was asked about the World Cup prospects of both Bhuvneshwar ******* ar and Mohammad Shami.
"One thing goes against Bhuvi. I love him to bits, and I want him to play for India again, but when you don't play Ranji, your workload becomes limited. There are a handful of matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In ODI cricket, you have to bowl 10 overs and field for 50 overs in a match. It's a lot of workload."
Bhuvneshwar has not featured in a first-class match since January 2024 and last played a List A game in December 2023. Despite that, he has enjoyed an impressive run with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, playing a key role in their back-to-back IPL ******* le-winning campaigns.
Chopra stressed that excelling in the IPL alone should not be the basis for selection in a 50-over World Cup.
"It's not easy in a tournament like the World Cup where you have to keep playing continuously. Not only the World Cup, but you will have to be a part of every ODI game from a year earlier. You will have to start playing him from now on."
According to Chopra, if the selectors are serious about including Bhuvneshwar in their long-term plans, they need to bring him back into the ODI setup immediately.
"He is not a bad option, but it will be a mistake unless we give him at least one year to get ready. If you pick someone for the 50-over World Cup based on him bowling four overs in the two months of the IPL and a month of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, no matter how good that person is, it will be wrong."
He also suggested that Bhuvneshwar should feature in the upcoming ODI series and even the T20I ******* ignments if he remains under consideration for the 2027 World Cup.
Comparing Bhuvneshwar with Mohammad Shami, Chopra felt the latter currently has a stronger case because he has continued playing red-ball cricket, including the Ranji Trophy, where he claimed 37 wickets. Shami is also set to feature in the upcoming Duleep Trophy.
However, Chopra maintained that Bhuvneshwar had the better IPL season.
"It's the same thing for Shami, although he has played the Ranji Trophy and picked up 37 wickets. He is going to play the Duleep Trophy now as well. So Shami has a slightly better case to make, but the truth is that if we do man-to-man marking in the IPL, Bhuvneshwar ******* ar is ahead of him in that respect."
Chopra believes the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand could provide a clear indication of India's plans.

Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland on August 1.
Alongside them were their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—marking the children's first official engagement in Scotland.
The "snapshot of family happiness" shows that the family has officially "come out the other side" of a difficult season, royal biographer Robert Jobson said.
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one certainly is—a shot of the Wales family of five enjoying themselves at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland on August 1. It marked not only Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis's first official engagement in Scotland—and Louis's first official engagement at a sporting event—but also, as royal biographer Robert Jobson put it, proof that the "hardest year of their lives" is "finally behind them."

For the first time since the Super Bowl, NFL teams will go head-to-head in a live game.
The annual Pro Football Hall of Fame game will kick off on Aug. 6, marking the official start of the 2026 NFL preseason. It's the sole preseason game this week before the league's full preseason ramp-up begins next Thursday, Aug. 13.
This year, the Arizona Cardinals will face off against the Carolina Panthers to get the NFL's competitive juices flowing again after the league's six-month hiatus. Both the Cardinals and Panthers have a franchise icon due to be officially enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 8 as members of the Class of 2026.
2026 NFL RECORD PREDICTIONS: Super Bowl 61 an all-Texas affair between Cowboys, Texans?
Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald set dozens of Cardinals franchise records and earned Pro Bowl status 11 times in his career before ending his career after the 2020 season. Linebacker Luke Kuechly rose to prominence as one of the best at his position – and one of the best overall defenders – in the NFL across eight seasons with the Panthers.

Ohio State topped the 2026 preseason US LBM Coaches Poll when it was released Aug. 4, marking the program's first preseason No. 1 ranking in the poll since 2015.
However, if history is any guide, that may not be the place the Buckeyes want to be.
USA TODAY Sports ******* yzed the history of Coaches Poll preseason rankings and compared the eventual champions to their initial rank, spanning the UPI and USA TODAY-administered versions of the poll since 1978.
Across the 48 years of the Coaches Poll since 1978, the No. 1 ranked team has won the championship just five times. Oklahoma did so in 1985, Florida State in 1993 and 1999, Southern California in 2004 and Alabama in 2017.
Coaches Poll: One lingering question for each Top 25 team in preseason rankings

Aug 4 (Reuters) - AI cloud computing company CoreWeave said on Tuesday it is expanding into Indonesia and adding three new facilities in the country, marking the firm's first data-center presence in the Asia Pacific region.
CoreWeave has benefited from a surge in demand for AI cloud infrastructure globally, as tech companies rush to secure the hardware and cloud capacity needed to develop and run AI systems. The company has been investing heavily in its data-center footprint to cater to the demand.
Here are some details on the expansion:
• CoreWeave will add a total of 360 megawatts of contracted power through the three data centers, and will own and operate all three sites.
• "Across Asia, enterprises, AI-native companies, and governments increasingly need AI compute located close to their data and users, driven by both latency-sensitive workloads and data locality requirements. CoreWeave's move... reflects this shift," the company said.
