Cheniere Energy, Inc. (NYSE:LNG) is substantially completing the Corpus Christi Stage 3 expansion, with contractor Bechtel handing over the seventh and final liquefaction train. The project adds more than 10 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG capacity, lifting Cheniere's overall production capacity to roughly 56 mtpa, an increase of more than 20%.
The timing is favorable because Cheniere is entering a period of higher production while global LNG demand remains strong. In its latest quarterly results, Cheniere raised its 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance to $7.9 billion-$8.4 billion, from $7.25 billion-$7.75 billion previously. The company also said it expects higher exports as its expansion projects ramp up. The company is not finished expanding Corpus Christi. It is also developing Midscale Trains 8 and 9, while the U.S. Energy Department has authorized additional exports from those trains.
The biggest positive is that Cheniere now has additional LNG capacity coming online at an established export facility. The completion of Stage 3 allows Cheniere to increase volumes without having to build an entirely new LNG terminal from scratch. The company expects increased exports next year as it benefits from a full year of production from its expansion projects. That creates a relatively straightforward growth path: more LNG volumes can generate more revenue, while the existing infrastructure and long-term commercial arrangements can support attractive cash generation.
Cheniere Energy, Inc. (NYSE:LNG) is positioned to benefit from continued growth in LNG consumption, particularly in Europe and Asia. U.S. LNG deliveries to Asia reached a quarterly record of 11 million metric tons in Q2 2026, while Cheniere continues to see strong demand and competitive pricing in new contract negotiations. The company's scale also gives it an advantage as global buyers seek reliable LNG supplies. The U.S. has become the world's largest LNG exporter, with Cheniere playing a central role in that export growth.
The completion of Stage 3 further increases the gap between Cheniere and competing U.S. LNG exporters. The project takes Corpus Christi's production capabilities to a much higher level and gives Cheniere greater exposure to international LNG demand. This scale can also improve the company's ability to serve customers across different markets and capture attractive destination pricing. Cheniere has historically used strong cash generation to return capital to shareholders while continuing to invest in expansion. The company is balancing shareholder returns with investments in additional production capacity.

On August 13, Fermi Inc. (NASDAQ:FRMI) held its second-quarter earnings call and delivered exactly the kind of update a young power developer needs: proof that its plans are turning into contracts. Chairman Marius Haas told investors the company had hit all five commitments from a 90-day plan he laid out three months earlier, topped by a binding customer agreement with AI infrastructure company TensorWave. For a business that still has no meaningful revenue and years of construction ahead of it, a signed customer paired with visible progress on the ground is exactly what shareholders wanted to see.
The headline item is the TensorWave agreement itself: up to 650 megawatts of power if every expansion option is exercised, split across three phases. The initial phase is a 15-year commitment for 222 megawatts of gross power delivered through a turnkey data center solution, worth about $6.5 billion in revenue over that term. Chief Commercial Officer Anna Bofa described the deal as more than one customer's order, noting that the $6.5 billion figure is tied strictly to this Phase 1 commitment, while the campus holds a total expansion potential of up to 650 megawatts. This positions TensorWave as a gateway to hyperscalers and chipmakers that could add more workloads to the campus later on.
Fermi backed the contract with hardware. Three Siemens Energy F-class units, each rated above 242 megawatts, reached the Port of Houston in July and cleared customs to advance the company's 2028 and 2029 power delivery objectives, while a separate configuration of simple cycle turbines and utility power feeds the plan to deliver 640 megawatts of nameplate capacity by the fourth quarter of 2027, with the first 210 megawatts online by July 1, 2027. A new alliance with Hillcore Energy Partners adds another 2.6 gigawatts within three years, with Hillcore financing and building that facility while Fermi simply collects rent, doubling the campus's planned output to 4.8 gigawatts at no extra capital cost to Fermi. The quarter also brought a stronger balance sheet, via an upsized offering of more than $430 million in convertible senior notes, yielding approximately $382 million in net proceeds after a capped call, and a new chief executive in Lee McIntire, whose résumé includes running major projects at Bechtel, McDermott, and TerraPower.
Some of the biggest figures on the call still come with asterisks. The backstop agreement sitting behind the TensorWave lease wasn't finished as of the call, and Fermi hasn't named the counterparty standing behind it, only that a deal was expected within days. Management also said the broader campus can't break ground until project financing beyond this round is lined up, a reminder that the recent convertible note raise alone doesn't cover building out a multi-billion dollar site. The $6.5 billion figure is tied strictly to the initial Phase 1 commitment (222 megawatts), whereas the full 650-megawatt potential depends on future expansion o

Bechtel has taken over management of the site designated for Poland's first nuclear power plant, as the project shifts from design and planning to large-scale site preparation and construction.
The transition from Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe (PEJ) to the US-based engineering company coincides with the start of earthworks at the Choczewo site, marking a key development in Poland's long-term energy strategy.
Bechtel will now oversee construction operations, coordinate contractors, supervise activity on site and ensure safety standards throughout the project.
According to the company, more than 400 people are currently involved in the initial site works, with about one-third of the workforce recruited locally in Poland. This number is expected to increase as preparations progress.
Bechtel project director Ed Gore said: "As we ****** ume responsibility for the site and begin the first permanent plant work, with the initial earthworks contract, we are focused on safely advancing the project, working closely with our Polish partners, and creating the platform for the next phase of work that will ultimately deliver a new source of reliable, carbon-free energy for Poland."

Rio Grande LNG Phase 1 construction is tracking ahead of schedule, with Train 1 first LNG production now expected in the first half of 2027.
The company is transitioning from a development-stage entity to an operating company, evidenced by the secondment of over 100 operational employees to Bechtel.
Management attributes the accelerated timeline to Bechtel's construction efficiency, with Trains 1 and 2 reaching 74% completion as of June 2026.
The Iran conflict has fundamentally altered the global LNG supply outlook, removing approximately 7 million tons per month from the market due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Paris couture sensation Matières Fécales, which just last week dressed Zendaya in a winged goddess gown at "The Odyssey" premiere in New York City, has joined a growing number of luxury brands that are turning the wedding aisle into the new Hollywood red carpet.
The fashion house created three wedding looks for singer/model Gabbriette Bechtel, who married English musician and 1975 frontman Matty Healy last weekend in L.A., in front of a crowd that included Charli XCX, George Daniel, Emily Ratajkowski, Alex Consani and more.
Following the nuptials, the brand issued a press release touting the event as the official launch of Matières Fécale bridalwear. The announcement arrived in my inbox on the heels of one from Saint Laurent with photos and dressing credits for Logan Lerman's Saint Laurent wedding tuxedo, and just weeks after Taylor Swift tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in a still unseen custom Jonathan Anderson Dior gown. (I predict the big reveal will be the September Vogue cover.)

Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) is one of the fastest-growing high-bandwidth memory stocks to buy. The company advanced its U.S. memory capacity plan on June 10, 2026, when it selected Bechtel as the engineering, procurement, and construction partner for the first phase of its leading-edge memory manufacturing complex in Clay, New York. Micron said the site is planned to become the largest semiconductor manufacturing facility in the U.S. and described it as a cornerstone of American AI-era memory leadership.
The project has direct relevance to HBM because AI servers require large volumes of advanced DRAM, and Micron is one of the few global suppliers competing in high-bandwidth memory. The company said it broke ground on the first New York fab in January 2026 and is now moving into the next construction phase. The update follows fiscal Q2 2026 results, in which revenue rose 196% year over year to $23.86 billion, driven by strong AI data-center memory demand.
Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) develops and manufactures memory and storage products, including DRAM, NAND, NOR, SSDs, and high-bandwidth memory used across data centers, AI systems, mobile devices, automotive applications, industrial markets, and consumer electronics.
While we acknowledge the potential of MU as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk.
