Roger Goodell reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension, the league announced Sunday. The deal runs through March 2031 and would mark 25 seasons with Goodell in charge, if he completes the contract.
The compensation committee headed by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft informed the full ownership regarding the extension. The memo, reviewed by Sportico, said the committee worked with a third-party compensation consultant and outside counsel to "structure a deal that aligns Roger's compensation with the League's long-term interests and success." The value of the deal was not disclosed, but the memo stated that it is bonus heavy with more than 95% of the total compensation tied to Goodell's and the NFL's performance measured against certain metrics.

Lowry will become only the second player in franchise history to receive the honor, joining Vince Carter, whose No. 15 was raised to the rafters in November 2024.

Motherwell have signed midfielder Alex Lowry on a season-long loan from Wycombe Wanderers.
The 23-year-old former Rangers player scored three goals in 24 appearances for the English League One club last season but last featured on Boxing Day 2025.

"Chrisley Knows Best" star Lindsie Chrisley has broken her silence on her May 2026 DUI arrest on a new episode of her "Coffee Convos" podcast.
The reality star, 36, made headlines earlier this year after she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, attempting to evade police, reckless driving, and a slew of other charges while driving her car in Georgia.
According to Lindsie Chrisley, she's dealt with mental health struggles over the last year, adding that it's caused many problems in her personal life.
Speaking with MTV veteran Kailyn Lowry on their shared podcast, Lindsie said she takes her ongoing legal woes very seriously. She said that she hasn't been able to comment publicly because she's stayed off social media and deleted all the apps from her phone. "If people are sending me messages, I'm not getting them," she said.
According to TMZ, Lindsie was arrested and booked in jail in Georgia in May 2026 before bonding out the next day. She told the publication that she was pulled over for speeding past a car on a two-lane road after trying to avoid being hit by another car that swerved to avoid an animal.

Being a qualified mechanic and No. 1,456 in the world amateur rankings ensures Howard, who came through one of four local qualifying events to take his place in golf’s oldest major, is no normal British Open participant.
Also making him different is what he packs in his golf bag for each round: As important as his clubs is his medication, with Howard taking up to 30 tablets a day to prevent infection and help digest food properly.

According to a report from Josh Carpenter in the Sports Business Journal — and later announced by Versant — both stars are confirmed to return for a second Optum Golf Channel Games, with the event moving to Wednesday, Dec. 16 on Golf Channel and USA Sports. Scheffler and McIlroy are, for now, the only two names locked in. The eight-man field that filled out the inaugural event, Ryder Cup captains Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald among them, along with Shane Lowry, Haotong Li, Luke Clanton and Sam Burns, hasn’t been rebuilt yet, at least not publicly.
The inaugural Golf Channel Games aired live from Trump National Golf Club Jupiter last December, with Scheffler and McIlroy each drafting four-man teams for a night of made-for-TV skills challenges: a timed driving competition, a 14-club closest-to-the-pin format, a four-man relay, and a head-to-head captain’s challenge between the two captains.

Coming off a season that ended with a seven-game first-round loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Toronto Raptors made arguably the biggest splash of the early NBA offseason.
Toronto landed Kawhi Leonard from the Los Angeles Clippers on June 30, sending Brandon Ingram, Gradey ***** , two second-round picks, a 2027 pick swap and unprotected first-rounders in 2031 and 2033 to LA. Leonard, 35, sees Toronto as his final NBA stop after winning a ***** le there in 2019.
The trade also revived talk of another homecoming. DeMar DeRozan, whose 13,296 points top the franchise scoring list ahead of Kyle Lowry’s 10,540, was the man Toronto gave up to get Leonard the first time.
DeRozan and the Sacramento Kings could soon finalize a buyout, a resolution that would free the 36-year-old to sign anywhere as a free agent.
Yahoo Sports’ Kelly Iko reported Wednesday that DeRozan hoped to accelerate his exit and that he and rival executives expected the Kings to waive him. He is entering the final season of the three-year contract he signed in 2024.

Move over Shane Lowry ; this summer it's Tommy Fleetwood's turn to have a mural on display when fans descend on jolly old England and Southport, the staid holiday resort town on the coast of Lancashire and home to Royal Birkdale for the 154th British Open.
Honoring Southport's own favorite son, the large-scale artwork of Fleetwood has been created on the facade of Southport & Birkdale Sports Club by local muralist Paul Curtis, who has painted around 300 public pieces in the region — including Liverpool managers Jurgen Klopp and Bill Shankly, and the late Portuguese star Diogo Jota.

"The biggest challenge during the project was working in the intense heat. Alongside the constant need to stay hydrated and regularly apply sun cream, the temperatures also created practical problems with the paint. If I left my palette for even a few minutes, I would often return to find the paint had become sticky or, in some cases, had dried out completely," Curtis said. Las Vegas Aces guard Chelsea Gray will join Prime Video’s WNBA coverage as a player contributor, making select in-studio appearances on the pregame show for the remainder of the 2026 season, Front Office Sports reported Monday.
The only active four-time WNBA champion, Gray is a six-time All-Star who has built a legitimate broadcast résumé between WNBA seasons. She worked as an ACC Network ******* yst on two separate occasions, calling regular-season and NCAA Tournament games as part of the network’s Nothing But Net studio coverage, and contributed to the Sacramento Kings’ pre- and postgame broadcasts during the 2023-24 NBA season.
The move follows the same template Kelsey Plum has been operating under since May, when Prime Video announced the Los Angeles Sparks guard as a player contributor for select appearances throughout the season. On the NBA side, Kyle Lowry joined Amazon’s inaugural NBA coverage in September 2025 with what the streamer described as “increased responsibilities in the future,” responsibilities that materialized when Lowry stepped into the studio for select shows during the NBA playoffs.
The active-player contributor model has taken hold across the W this season, with Sophie Cunningham landing a comparable role at USA Sports.
Gray joins a studio team anchored by host Allie Clifton alongside Hall of Famers Cynthia Cooper, Swin Cash, and Teresa Weatherspoon, with Candace Parker, Lindsey Harding, and Tamera “Ty” Young also contributing. Michael Grady and Parker lead the top game broadcast team, flanked by play-by-play announcers Lisa Byington and Mike Watts and ******* ysts Kara Lawson and LaChina Robinson. Prime Video is in the first year of an 11-year WNBA deal covering 31 regular-season games annually, one first-round playoff series each season, seven conference finals series, and three WNBA Finals.

On June 24, 2026, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Business Affairs and Consumer Protection Commissioner Ivan Capifali, and Corporation Counsel Mary B. Richardson-Lowry announced that the City of Chicago filed a lawsuit against Airbnb, Inc. (NASDAQ:ABNB), Airbnb Living, LLC, and Slumber Stay LLC. Slumber Stay was described as one of Airbnb's most active hosts in Chicago. The complaint, filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, alleges repeated violations of the City's Shared Housing Ordinance and other consumer protection laws. It also alleges that the defendants profited from unlawful short-term rental activity while evading requirements meant to protect short-term renters, preserve residential quality of life, and maintain affordable housing supply. Johnson said the City is focused on building a "safer, more affordable Chicago," while ensuring the industry operates fairly and safely.
On June 12, Truist raised its price target on Airbnb to $134 from $129 and maintained a Hold rating as part of a broader Q2 preview for Online Travel and Leisure Facilities names. Truist said the revenue and spending backdrop looked generally encouraging for U.S. mass-market leisure travel and Orlando from Q2 through Q4, with the backdrop becoming stronger higher up the "K" in the bifurcated economy.

Mizuho said investors continue to underappreciate the likely acceleration from hotels and the broader cultural shift underway at Airbnb. The firm came away from its checks "more bullish than ever," saying hotels are eager to work with Airbnb, connectivity friction is improving, and the "cultural shift necessary for Hotel to become big is happening." Airbnb remains a top pick at Mizuho.

Jon Rahm is set to play his first non-major PGA Tour event since joining LIV Golf.
Rahm and Legion XIII teammate Tyrrell Hatton were announced as two of commitments for the Genesis Scottish Open, to be held in two weeks at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. Rahm and Hatton are eligible to compete in the co-sanctioned event because each are DP World Tour members, with Rahm reaching a conditional release agreement with the European circuit back in May.
Rahm’s last non-major PGA Tour event was the 2023 Tour Championship while Hatton hasn’t played such a tournament since the 2024 Sony Open, after which he moved to LIV, following Rahm, who signed in December 2023.
Joining Rahm and Hatton in the Scottish field are Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Aberg, Shane Lowry, Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood and Robert MacIntyre, among others. The official field will be released the Friday before tournament week.
Rahm, a two-time winner on LIV this year, and Hatton, who won LIV’s most recent event earlier this month at Valderrama, won’t tee it up on LIV again until July 23-26 at LIV Golf U.K., as LIV’s event in New Orleans, which was supposed to be held this week, was canceled.
