Jim Cramer used his Monday CNBC segment to make an aggressive call on the year's most explosive corner of the market: memory and storage. "Sometimes the opportunity is too great and you can't afford not to take it." He paired that framing with a specific prediction on Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU): "I think Micron can double again before the boom comes to an end, ***** uming there's no data center slowdown." That conditional matters.
Cramer's timing view is that the group has more room to run. "While I acknowledge that I am not early, I do not think I am late." The Monday close explains the hesitation. Although the Kansas City Chiefs lost the preseason opener 20-12 to the Los Angeles Rams, the defeat produced encouraging performances and positive takeaways.
One noteworthy performance came from rookie running back Emmett Johnson, who delivered a strong effort when given the opportunity. Mostly operating with the second- and third-string offense, Johnson finished the game with 59 yards on 12 attempts, as well as 3 receptions out of the backfield. Johnson also had several positive plays negated by penalties, including a touchdown from roughly five yards out.
Johnson made a strong case to continue to receive opportunities as a complementary piece in the offense. He showed the talent to be another valuable option out of the backfield, along with last year's Super Bowl MVP and new Chief Kenneth Walker III. Johnson's efforts did not go unnoticed by his head coach Andy Reid.
"He did a nice job with it," Reid told local media in his post-game press conference. "He ran hard and aggressive, had some yards after contact there, which is a big thing. He was one of the positives coming out of this, I thought he did a nice job."
Johnson displayed an aggressive and tough running style. He read blocks and hit the available holes hard, without hesitation. He was the main cog in the Chiefs' offensive attack in the preseason opener.

Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) has experienced strong AI-driven demand through 2026, helping offset its historical exposure to cyclical market downturns. Earlier, on July 16, Micron completed Strategic Customer Agreements with a group of automotive Tier 1 suppliers, a smaller but telling sign that its customer relationships are stretching longer and becoming more predictable across more than one industry.
The automotive agreements, completed with Qualcomm, Visteon, HARMAN, JOYNEXT, DENSO, Astemo and Hyundai Mobis, give Micron greater visibility into future memory and storage orders as vehicles add more advanced driver ******* istance and in-cabin computing power. Automotive platforms carry long production lifecycles and strict qualification standards, so locking in supply and pricing years ahead reduces the kind of order volatility that has hurt Micron during past downturns.
The bigger driver remains AI. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) has lifted its 2026 outlay target to $220 billion, and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) plans a $200 billion budget of its own, money that keeps flowing toward the memory chips inside AI servers. That demand already shows up in the numbers. In the nine months ended May 28, the first three quarters of fiscal 2026, Micron's revenue reached $79 billion, a 203% jump from the same stretch a year earlier, while net income hit $47 billion, a 60% net margin, versus just $5 billion the year before. ******* ysts expect revenue to grow 247% this fiscal year and another 85% in fiscal 2027, and Micron has pushed customers toward five-year price agreements instead of the one-year contracts that once left it exposed to sudden price swings.
Micron's stock climbed nearly 690% over the twelve months before peaking in June, then fell about 30% since, a pullback that reflects investors growing less willing to pay up for growth rather than any clear deterioration in the business. Some of that hesitation is historical memory. Memory chip supply has caught up with, and usually exceeded, demand in every prior upcycle, and when it has, prices and profits have reversed just as sharply as they rose. Competition adds to the risk. Beyond longtime rivals Samsung and SK Hynix, the Chinese firm ChangXin Memory Technologies could start turning out high-bandwidth memory before this year is out, a development that may chip away at the pricing power Micron currently enjoys. Early investors locking in gains after such a steep run have added to the selling as well.

The stock jumped about 20% the next morning, though Bleeker attributes most of that to how far it had fallen during July's selloff rather than to the results, which he characterizes as good but not spectacular.His hesitation is valuation. Against a full-year estimate of $9.40, the shares trade a bit above 30 times forward earnings, which he considers the upper end of the historical range. He is not planning to add more with other opportunities across the market after a steep July sell-off. The broader read on semiconductor equipment is more bullish. Taiwan Semiconductor raised capex, Intel sounded optimistic on capex needs, and Bleeker guesses 2028 equipment spending could come in roughly 25% above where Wall Street currently models it. He is particularly interested in advanced packaging and testing, sub-verticals growing faster than the overall **** e. Lam remains a core long-term holding and, in his view, among the best operators in semi equipment.

Rodri has not been coy about his intentions. Speaking publicly earlier in the saga, he made clear that declining an offer from one of the world's best clubs was not something he was prepared to do, and that the door on his end remained open. That has not changed since Barcelona entered the picture.

Draft season is an exercise in risk management. You spend the early rounds chasing proven volume, then a rookie running back on a bad team sits there daring you to bet talent over situation. Every year, one of those bets ends up deciding a ******* le.
Draft Jeremiyah Love, and plan to stash him through a shaky first month. The Cardinals rookie is going RB13 in July PPR drafts, late in the second round, so the price already bakes in a slow start. That discount is the opportunity.
The hesitation is understandable. Love landed on a three-win team with a crowded backfield and an unsettled quarterback room, and the fantasy community has spent the summer talking itself down on him. That is exactly the kind of noise that creates a value, because the profile underneath it has not changed.
Start with the history, because it holds up. Every running back drafted inside the top 10 since 2012 has averaged at least 14.3 PPR points per game as a rookie from Christian McCaffrey at 14.3 to Saquon Barkley at 24.1. Bijan Robinson (14.5) and Ashton Jeanty (14.4) landed in messy situations and still cleared that bar. None of them busted.
Love carries the same draft capital. Arizona took him third overall, the highest a back has come off the board since Barkley in 2018, and teams do not spend that kind of pick to hand out a timeshare.
