SpaceX's (SPCX) goal of turning its Starlink service into a major US mobile carrier is one step closer to becoming a reality.
On Wednesday, Qualcomm (QCOM) announced that ***** eX has selected its Dragonwing Cellular Infrastructure platforms to power Starlink Mobile's nationwide terrestrial 5G cellular network.
Starlink already has the largest satellite-based network, and the ground-based stations will allow it to better compete with AT&T (T), T-Mobile (TMUS), and Verizon (VZ).
Last month, the company announced an agreement to purchase licenses for 800 MHz spectrum.
"While Starlink Mobile's global 2 GHz mid-band spectrum will provide high-bandwidth capacity in the United States, this new low-band spectrum will provide a coverage layer that ensures Starlink Mobile's signal penetrates through obstacles, such as walls, and can provide service to customers' devices even when they are in buildings," the company said at the time.

During the Thursday, October 29, episode of The Kardashians, the 46-year-old reality star revealed that she needs surgery to address "irregularities" in her esophagus following her esophagitis diagnosis.
"So I've seen a couple of doctors, and it's been heavy on my mind lately," Kim said in the confessional, according to People. "I haven't really told too many people about this, just because I think it's something that really hits home for me and I just don't really wanna go there."
Kim's father, Robert Kardashian, died of esophageal cancer in 2003 at the age of 59.
"With my dad having passed away from esophagus cancer, hopefully I can just take medication and this will go away," Kim continued.

Being truly competitive in the Premier League in both the post-promotion campaign and so far this term allowed supporters not only to dream of Elland Road glory on Sunday afternoon but perhaps even to expect it. Throw in the narrative surrounding the visitors given all that has transpired there of late and at the very least it felt like a big chance.
Yet if reality was to meet expectation, the first half did not make it immediately obvious. A frenetic first few minutes was as anticipated. Ethan Ampadu, leading the team out for the 100th time as captain, was at the heart of an aggressive start. James Attwood: I don't really see how. Sure, the Brewers are a smaller market than the Dodgers. They have a much smaller payroll. But, if anything, the Brewers advancing is only going to fuel the MLBPA to get even stickier about trying to control salaries in any way, shape, or form. Also, even though plenty of fans and pundits like to give MLB front offices a hard time about making stupid decisions, those offices are by and large, stacked with incredibly intelligent people. Those people are going to be able to take a step back and recognize that one season's playoff picture is hardly a sample size large enough to be called indicative of the sport moving forward. There were questions after Arizona went to the World Series in 2023 about whether or not MLB had done enough to create obstacles for Wild Card teams in the playoffs, all because Arizona steamrolled the Brewers and Dodgers. This year, pundits are calling for the entire seeding system to be blown up because there was a team with a .500 record that not only made the playoffs, but won their division outright. Single seasons may bring some oddities, but they are usually not indicative of the reality of the game's overall health.
