While the royal family have remained tight-lipped about Harry and Meghan's return, Lady Eliza shared her true feelings on seeing her cousin again after a lengthy time apart.
"It's exciting!" she told The Mirror at a launch event for her Lala V rosé brand on Wednesday night. "We would love to be able to find some time to visit." When asked if she would swap wine-making tips with Meghan, who launched her own rosé with her As Ever brand in 2025, the 34-year-old simply replied: "Maybe!"

Lady Marina Windsor is not your average royal — and she certainly does not dress like your average royal. As the great-great-granddaughter of King George V and Queen Mary of Teck, Marina is somewhat distantly related to Queen Elizabeth II. Marina's grandfather — Prince Edward, Duke of Kent — was the late queen's first cousin. This means that Elizabeth was Marina's first cousin twice removed.
While Marina's connection to royalty is undeniable, it's also not particularly strong. The late queen never considered Marina a member of her inner circle. The young aristocrat has never served the crown as a full-time working royal. What's more, Marina actually forfeited her place in the line of succession as a result of her dedication to Roman Catholicism — the religion of her Canadian-born mother.
The unusual combination of Marina's royal bloodline and her relative distance from the throne has given her a unique sartorial opportunity. While Marina does occasionally have to embrace some royal fashion rules, she also has the chance to push the bounds of what is considered acceptable clothing for women of her rank. By playing with bright colors, floral patterns, and more traditional cuts, Marina has developed a sense of style that defies all expectations. Rather than follow trends, the aristocrat has made a fashion category all of her own.

LONDON, Aug 26 (Reuters) - The outbreak of the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola in Uganda is over but it is not under control in neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo, a World Health Organization official told a briefing on Wednesday.
The all-clear for Uganda follows a declaration on July 28 from the Ugandan government that it was free of the disease, which caused 20 cases and two deaths in the country.
The WHO monitored the situation until this week to ensure that no chains of transmission had been missed.
But Dr Marie Roseline Belizaire, director of emergency preparedness for the WHO African region, told a WHO regional meeting that cases in Democratic Republic of Congo continued to rise despite some progress. The outbreak there is the second-deadliest in history, and outpacing containment efforts.

Taylor Swift isn't just a trendsetter when she works a red carpet. You'll find that her off-duty outfits are their own kind of event, watched and decoded by Swifties and fashion experts alike. They also correspond with the visual backdrop of her eras, whether it's the '50s sweetheart, '80s synth-pop, or anything in between, all highlighting where she's creatively at in that moment. Vintage decades, in particular, are a well the Grammy winner keeps drawing from, and one such off-the-clock look from June 15, 2026 is worth revisiting precisely for its retro polish, as well as how neatly it worked with its chosen surroundings.
In fact, if we were to rank the best outfits Taylor Swift has worn in every era of her career, this visit to Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village, where she was spotted wearing a sun-warmed ensemble pulled straight from the '70s, would definitely land somewhere near the top. It was all about earth tones and nostalgic shapes. The pop star donned a knit polo from Guest in Residence, the cashmere label her model pal Gigi Hadid launched in 2022. It was paired with pale jeans that sat high on the waist — in typical Swift fashion.
Aeon/Getty
On her feet, the "Shake It Off" hitmaker wore Gucci Horsebit platforms, while a classic Chloé bag rounded out the dreamy, caramel-coded color palette. Even her jewelry paid tribute to history; the opals she wore on her wrist and finger came from a pricey jewelry suite that once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor. Look at it as a whole and the picture reads like a perfect album cover from the mid-'70s. But this is Swift we're talking about, and with the singer, there's always a deeper layer — this time, it was the venue.

The enduring bond between Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has long fascinated the public, not just because of their royal status, but due to their decision to continue sharing a home years after their split.
Fergie famously dubbed them "the happiest divorced couple," backed by a surprising choice behind palace doors. Though one of the driving forces behind their divorce was Sarah's need to pursue commercial work, a job forbidden to working royals, she chose not to push for a massive financial payout from Queen Elizabeth II.

Instead, her only request from the monarch was her ongoing friendship. In an interview with Harpers Bazaar in 2007, Sarah recalled that she asked for "friendship, not money."
Sarah said: "When I met with Her Majesty about it, she asked, 'What do you require, Sarah?' and I said, 'Your friendship,' which I think amazed her because everyone said I would demand a big settlement. But I wanted to be able to say, 'Her Majesty is my friend.'

Elizabeth Hurley is our bikini inspiration every summer, and her latest oceanside photoshoot proves it.
The 61-year-old showcased her toned and tanned figure as she stepped off the side of a boat into the glistening water, wearing a tiny white bikini. Elizabeth was beaming with a pair of stylish oversized sunglasses in the sun-soaked holiday snap shared on Instagram on Sunday.
Her halter-neck bikini top and bottoms were held together with gold chain links for a luxurious finish. In other photos from her holiday, Elizabeth stunned in a leopard print bikini and a collection of flattering maxi dresses, including a strapless pink one with a split down the middle and a form-fitting white dress with a plunging neckline.

The Princess of Wales, 44, was pictured with her husband Prince William and three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, arriving at a church service at Crathie Kirk in Scotland at the weekend.
The Waleses joined King Charles and Queen Camilla for their private summer break in Balmoral – a tradition started by the late Queen Elizabeth.
During Kate's break from royal engagements, she opted for a classic Sloane Ranger look, but debuted a new beauty transformation. A far cry from the traditional, minimalist makeup she normally wears for daytime events, Kate opted for a smokey eye with defined jet-black winged eyeliner.
We turned to Jo Martin, makeup artist and Brand Manager for Paul & Joe Beauté, for information about how the Princess kept her beauty look "soft" and created a "defined lift" perfect for anti-ageing.
When asked how Kate created a crisp wing that still reads as elegant and elevated rather than harsh in natural daylight, the makeup expert explained: "The wing itself can be precise, but everything else should be diffused and soft.

While many members of the British royal family are named in honor of Queen Elizabeth, the late monarch isn't the only royal whose legacy lives on via a moniker.
Princess Charlotte and Princess Lilibet, for example, both have the middle name Diana in homage to their late grandmother, Princess Diana, who died in August 1997 at the age of 36.
The most recent addition to the royal family, meanwhile, is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's daughter Adelaide, whose first middle name, Elizabeth, is a nod to Queen Elizabeth. The couple waited two weeks after Adelaide's birth to reveal her name.
"We are so happy to share Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank," Eugenie wrote on Instagram on Aug. 17. "Named after three people we love and admire past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts."
Here are 10 royal children whose parents named them after other members of the British royal family.

Chris Evert recently joined the criticism of Meghan Markle after the ***** ss of Sussex reportedly decided to return to the UK.
Markle and Prince Harry officially stepped back as senior working members of the British Royal Family in March 2020. After relocating to Montecito, California, to pursue financial independence, the couple built a new life centred on media production and philanthropic ventures.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, the couple are now reportedly planning to return to the UK to enroll their children in school. The decision has drawn criticism on X, with one user reacting to an old clip from Episode 2 of their Netflix docuseries "Harry and Meghan." In the clip, Markle reenacted her first meeting with Queen Elizabeth II by dramatically bowing while sitting on a couch and saying, "Pleasure to see you, Your Majesty," before giggling. An X user pointed out:
"I think *this* was the moment she passed the point of no return, Royalist or not. Just complete disrespect."
This garnered Evert's attention, who joined the backlash, commenting:

Princess Anne, 76, takes her role within the royal family very seriously, racking up a whopping 478 engagements in 2025. Despite being a decade past retirement age, the Princess Royal spends her days travelling up and down the country to greet people and represent the monarchy. When she does get downtime, she retreats to Gatcombe Park, her beloved country home in Gloucestershire, away from the glare of the spotlight. Insiders tell ***** O! what life is really like at her private home.
"Gatcombe is her bolthole, where she is not the Princess Royal – she is Anne," says Ailsa Anderson, a former communications secretary to Queen Elizabeth II. "It's a lot less formal; she has Zara and Mike still living on the estate, and Peter and Harriet nearby." The Princess Royal's daughter Zara lives at Aston Farm on the estate with her former rugby player husband Mike Tindall and their three children, Mia, Lena and Lucas.
Gatcombe is surrounded by gorgeous grounds (@ Alamy Stock Photo)
Royal author Robert Hardman agrees with Ailsa. "Gatcombe is her happy place; she's fundamentally a country person," he says. Her relationship with her children and grandchildren is "very no-nonsense", he adds. "It's very normal; there isn't any standing on ceremony, and she's the only one with a ***** le.
"She's a very good grandmother. She's hands-on, but like all grandchildren, I think they can get away with things. She dotes on them."

Congratulations are in order for Princess Eugenie, 36, who is now a mum of three! She welcomed her new baby on 3 August, her third child, joining siblings August, six, and Ernest, three. Her daughter is called Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, she revealed two weeks after her arrival. Eugenie shares her three children with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and they are raising them in two different countries. Keep reading for all the details about Princess Eugenie's split living situation…
Princess Eugenie and Jack have named their new arrival Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank (@ Princess Eugenie)
In 2022, Jack accepted a role with Discovery Land Company, based at the CostaTerra Golf & Ocean Club in Portugal, and since then, the family has maintained a European base there, where they spend part of the year. While the details of their exact accommodation remain under wraps, the luxury residences on site are described as "effortless luxury for easy living" and the website reveals that their real estate offerings include "turnkey club residences, dune villas, golf pine barrens, and winery cottages".
The royal has admitted that she loves it there because of the anonymity that it affords her. "This is why Portugal is the dream because I can go to the supermarket in my exercise gear and my hair piled on my head and not mind. Not care. No one cares," she told Jessie and Lennie Ware during a podcast episode of Table Manners.

Discover how intermodal freight is delivering massive savings in today's volatile market. As truckload spot and contract rates stabilize, intermodal options provide a crucial cost-saving advantage, especially on key lanes. Learn where to find the biggest savings and how shifting modes can optimize your freight spend.
Intermodal savings have surged to their highest level in several years, driven by a widening gap between rising truckload rates and relatively flat intermodal pricing, according to FreightWaves SONAR data presented by Julie Van de Kamp during a live update from the College Football Hall of Fame.
On the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Atlanta lane — one of the top savings lanes in SONAR's intermodal dashboard — van spot truckload rates are up approximately 42%, van contract rates are up about 26%, and intermodal rates have risen only 16%, making a compelling case for mode conversion. East Coast corridors, particularly those out of Atlanta and Harrisburg, are leading the savings rankings, with lanes including Atlanta to Chicago, Atlanta to Joliet, Atlanta to Elizabeth, New Jersey, and Harrisburg to both Ontario, California, and Los Angeles all trending upward in the savings index over the most recent three months.
"That is such a good reason to consider mode conversion, take advantage of those savings, and understand where that helps even in a backhaul lane like what would typically be PA to Chicago at a length of haul that's not transcon," said Julie Van de Kamp.
The broader market context reinforces the intermodal value proposition. Tender rejections saw a significant drop from July 20 to August 5 but are now stabilizing, and spot rates, while down from earlier peaks year to date, are also leveling off. Meanwhile, contract truckload rates continue to rise, narrowing the gap between spot and contract. Van de Kamp noted a roughly 66-cent-per-mile spread between spot rates on the NTI and contract rates on the VCRPM1, though she cautioned that spot rates are all-in while contract rates are linehaul only — with fuel surcharges running approximately $0.70 per mile based on a Department of Energy estimate of around $45.

Jordyn Woods has given fans the details of the three custom looks worn during her exclusive Malibu wedding to Karl-Anthony Towns.
In a new Vogue video, the socialite and designer shared a behind-the-scenes look at her final dress fitting at Danielle Frankel's Los Angeles studio. On Saturday (August 15), Woods and the Knicks star got married in a ceremony where Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Michael B. Jordan and more were in attendance.
Frankel designed a strapless silk wool ball gown for the ceremony, built with a draped bodice and full skirt finished with hand-cut chantilly and corded lace appliques in three distinct shades of ivory. The designer had been developing the lace separately for her own collection before incorporating it into the gown, placing the hand-embroidered appliques to trace the neckline drape and reappear at the waist. Joined by her mother, Elizabeth Woods, and younger sister Jodie, early in the video, Woods complimented Frankel for her "unique eye for detail."
COMPLEX SHOP: Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Uncover what's next. Buy. Collect. Obsess.
The reception look, a layered chantilly and elderflower lace strapless gown with asymmetric pick-up drape at the hip and a lace bolero, came together organically. "We tried on just the foundation and it felt very safe or simple," Frankel said. "I asked Jordyn to just lift one side so I could see what was going on under the dress. As she was holding it here, the gown draped so beautifully."

King Charles's only sister, Princess Anne, was born on August 15, 1950, to their parents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip.
Much like her siblings, Anne grew up in the spotlight and even got married in a televised ceremony in 1973.
Before becoming one of the hardest-working royals in the British royal family, she was also a champion equestrian, becoming the first British royal to ever compete in the Olympics.
While history has focused on King Charles' life as the heir to the British throne, his sister, Princess Anne, has not only been a hardworking royal for decades, but has supported him every step of the way.
Born less than two years after her brother, Anne, the Princess Royal, was born on August 15, 1950, to her parents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip. At a young age, Anne set herself apart in her family because of her passion and talent for horseback riding. "If it doesn't fart or eat hay, she isn't interested," Phillip once joked of his daughter, per People.

A UK court ordered Prince Harry and six others Friday to pay an initial £9.5 million ($13 million) after they lost their privacy case against the publisher of British tabloid the Daily Mail.
The court said the prince and six other high-profile figures, who lost their unlawful information gathering and privacy invasions claim against ***** ociated Newspapers Limited (ANL), must make the payment within a week.
The claimants -- which include Elton John, his husband David Furnish, actors Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost -- accused the Mail of bugging their cars and homes, listening into calls and accessing bank accounts and medical records. ANL had denied all the allegations.
After an emotional 11-week trial, judge Matthew Nicklin sided with the publisher in a ruling handed down on July 7, concluding the "claimants failed to prove their pleaded allegations".
After a further two-day hearing over costs, he made Friday's initial costs decision.

Princess Margaret was the younger sister of Queen Elizabeth. She earned a reputation as the rebellious, free-spirited counterpart of her more serious sibling.
Known for her wit, bold fashions, and star-studded social network, Margaret set the blueprint for future glamorous royals like Princess Diana.
Margaret died on February 9, 2002, at age 71, following a series of strokes.
Princess Margaret knew all her best angles.
With a fashion-photographer husband and a free-spirited approach to public life, the younger sister and only sibling of Queen Elizabeth never shied away from the camera. One '60s snapshot shows her beaming as she shakes hands with The Beatles. Another, from the '70s, sees the royal casually stunning in a houndstooth plaid coat with a matching hood while watching the Badminton horse trials alongside husband Lord Snowdon.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's UK return reportedly turned Balmoral's "business as usual" summer into a royal family summit. The **** ss of Sussex and the Duke were said to be preparing an extended move back with Archie and Lilibet. The timing placed King Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and other senior royals together in Scotland. The reported talks centered on school plans, family access, and the next Sussex chapter.
As per The Sun report, the royal family's Balmoral holiday became a summit. The outlet said the gathering included King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton. It also reported that the family was calling the moment "business as usual." However, the report described it as the tensest Balmoral gathering since Queen Elizabeth II's death.
Meanwhile, The Sun said the meeting echoed the 2020 Sandringham meeting. That earlier summit followed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's announcement that they wanted to step back from royal life. According to the report, Harry and Meghan had already secured somewhere to live.
Their children, Archie and Lilibet, also reportedly had school places. The outlet said Charles was told of Harry's return on Sunday, before arriving at Balmoral on Tuesday.
At the same time, William and Kate were also said to be at the Scottish estate. Their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, had reportedly arrived too. The Sun said Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence, Zara Tindall, Mike Tindall, Prince Edward, and Sophie were also there. That meant major working royals were with the King as he handled the next phase of the Sussex story.

NEW YORK (AP) — The pilot of a speedboat that capsized during a tour around the Statue of Liberty, drowning an infant and her mother, has been arrested by U.S. immigration authorities who say he was in the country illegally.
Manuel Ernesto Hernandez-Umana, who has a pending federal criminal case in connection with the Aug. 8 crash, lied to a border officer and falsely claimed he was a U.S. citizen when he entered the country in Texas in 2007, the Department of Homeland Security said Wednesday.
Hernandez-Umana, 46, a citizen of El Salvador, is being held at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey, according to online records. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said he will eventually be deported.
Immigration authorities arrested him after he was released on bail in his criminal case, where he is charged with causing the deaths of 5-month old Antonella Garcia and 27-year-old Sara Sanchez through misconduct or neglect.
According to prosecutors, Hernandez-Umana wasn't licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard, wasn't aware of basic safety rules and told investigators he'd borrowed his friend's personal vessel for the New York Harbor excursion. The boat was illegally chartered and overcrowded, prosecutors said.

HELLO! understands King Charles was first made aware of these plans on Sunday, August 16, 2026, and that although he is pleased he will have more opportunity to see his son and grandchildren, there will be no alterations to Harry or Meghan's status within the royal family in accordance with previous decisions.

King Charles has allegedly made it clear that there would be no changes to the couple's current status. They would continue to be known as the Duke and ****** ss of Sussex, but nothing more.

Markle and Harry subsequently rebuilt their lives in California, seeking independence from royal rules and restrictions. However, their latest reported decision to return to the UK has raised fresh questions about their future within the royal family. Although they stepped away from royal duties, the couple retained their ****** les as the Duke and ****** ss of Sussex, fueling speculation that they could potentially return as working royals.
However, PEOPLE reported that King Charles has made it clear to his son and daughter-in-law that their status would remain unchanged. The couple would reportedly continue as non-working members of the royal family. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal exit reportedly cost the monarchy more than family peace. The ****** ss of Sussex and the Duke originally wanted a part-time working role. However, that option was rejected after their 2020 split from senior duties. A former BBC royal correspondent has now argued the royal family lost two people who could have helped the Crown. She said they "should have been allowed" that middle path.
As per an iNews report, Jennie Bond addressed Prince Harry's possible UK return. She wrote that Harry wanted "more frequent trips" and "less drama." Bond also said next year could become a flashpoint. It marks the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's death. She noted several events were expected through The Diana Award. The question, she wrote, was whether William and Harry would stand together.
Meanwhile, Bond said Harry may now be nearing his original goal. She pointed to charity events, Ukraine visits, and future Invictus Games plans. The former royal correspondent wrote he might have found "a way of doing traditional royal engagements." She added that this happened even though he was not part of "the firm." Bond then said it was something Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "should have been allowed" from the start.
However, Bond said Queen Elizabeth II had been "implacable" about the Sussexes' half-in, half-out plan. She argued the royal family then lost a major ****** et. Bond wrote that the monarchy lost "two people" who could have built links with "Britain's diverse communities." She also added, "William lost his brother." The Royal Observer reported that Harry and Meghan had since managed similar public-facing work. It cited his recent UK family trip and Invictus Games countdown event. For Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and the royal family, Bond framed the rejected deal as both a public loss and a private rupture.
