A Florida woman accused of plowing an SUV into a parked car appeared to downplay the collision before making a personal plea to officers investigating her, newly released video shows.
"I thought we were all friends," 24-year-old Elizabeth Boucher told Daytona Beach police during the Aug. 30 encounter.
Surveillance video released by police shows an SUV smashing into a parked Honda with enough force to shove it across a front lawn and out of the camera's view.
But when an officer asked Boucher what happened, she offered a far less dramatic account caught on police bodycam video.

Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper's latest Paris outing produced a more specific clue about their relationship. The rings they wore are designs officially sold as wedding bands.
The couple was photographed holding hands on August 3rd with rings on their left-hand ring fingers. PEOPLE identified both pieces as designs from Boucheron, the French luxury jewelry house.
Hadid wore the diamond-set Quatre Radiant Edition Wedding Band, while Cooper selected the simpler Godron Pink Gold Wedding Band. The two rings are not identical matching pieces.
Neither Hadid nor Cooper has announced an engagement or marriage.
Hadid and Cooper wore the rings while walking hand in hand through Paris after leaving a gym. Both were dressed casually, carried reusable water bottles and wore the jewelry on the fingers traditionally ******* ociated with marriage in the United States.

The 2026 World Cup has seen the "hydration break" become a point of contention, with in-stadium fans repeatedly booing (and the FIFA-fearful broadcasters not inclined to mention it) and Fox laughing all the way to the bank.
Fox is widely expected to make at least half of its total World Cup rights fee of $485 million through the pressing of the three-minute-per-half Bobby Boucher ****** on.
So what's the future of hydration breaks? John Ourand of Puck reports that senior FIFA officials are "torn" on the issue. They continue to hear complaints from interests beyond the U.S., and FIFA is "thin-skinned" on the issue. (Imagine that — a rich and powerful sports league being thin-skinned.)
On the other hand, money.
As Ben Strauss of ESPN recently explained, broadcast-rights deals for soccer aren't on the same trajectory as the ever-increasing NFL TV contracts. Instead, the rights fees are shrinking. One simple way to increase revenue for the games is to give the broadcast partners a way to generate more revenue during the broadcast.

July 9 (Reuters) - Skyrocketing demand from artificial intelligence data centers is exacerbating shortages of critical grid equipment like transformers across the U.S., driving up costs, stretching out wait times and spurring utilities and developers to lock in orders far in advance.
Transformers, which are used to step up or step down electricity voltage, have witnessed persistent shortages over the last five years, when demand began to rebound faster than supply due to COVID-19-related lockdowns.
Supplies are being further squeezed by the rapid buildout of AI infrastructure, experts say. Lead times, or the time taken between an initial order and its delivery, for some high-voltage transformers have increased to multiple years from around a year in 2020 and 2021.
"Equipment availability is becoming the biggest concern for developers as they value time to market so highly," said Ben Boucher, senior **** yst with consultancy Wood Mackenzie.
