Sara Nencka scored two goals and teammate Julia Fox added the game winner with eight minutes remaining in the contest to push the Huskies past the Avengers. Mt. Hope also got a solid performance from netminder Moira Ware who collected 12 saves.
Also factoring in the win were Aubrey **** s and Olivia Overy with an **** ist apiece.
For East Greenwich in the loss, Vivian Gelzhiser and Maeve Soden scored a goal each, Elizabeth Low and Maeve Monaghan each had an **** ist and netminder Scarlett Ruff had 4 saves.
Bella Pfeiler led the Patriots with two goals and Allison Patten had a goal and two **** ists to hand St. Raphael its first loss of the season.

It's getting to the point in the summer where teams don't have many open roster spots. Teams have pretty much filled out their lineups, with only some depth roles potentially available. For three former Toronto Maple Leafs netminders, finding an opportunity this upcoming season could be highly challenging.
So, let's take a closer look at the former Leafs goalies still looking for work this summer.
James Reimer had a resurgent season with the Ottawa Senators last season. After the Maple Leafs cut him from a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO) in training camp last fall, the Senators came calling. And the move worked out pretty well for both sides.
The team desperately needed support in the crease. Reimer didn't just come in and play a backup role. He started 14 games and carried the club during a stretch where it lost starter Linus Ullmark. Reimer played very well, but looks to be on the outside looking in.
This season, the Senators have Ullmark back with Samuel Ersson earmarked as the backup. There may still be a shot out there for Reimer, especially if a team faces an unexpected injury at some point in the season.

If it weren't for these other top goalies, Thompson has a really good case to be in the top three. Thompson led the NHL in goals saved above expected. He was dominant, but his team in front could not do enough to get into the playoffs.
Ilya Sorokin has established himself as one of the premier goalies in the league, and what truly distinguishes him is his remarkable achievement of 26 shutouts in 286 games over the past five seasons, the highest total in the NHL during that period.

Days before free agency opens on July 1, the Vegas Golden Knights have made an important decision regarding the future of their goaltending.
On Sunday night, Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon announced that the team had agreed to a three-year contract extension with goaltender Carl Lindbom.
The deal will keep Lindbom in Vegas until 2029 and carry a $900,000 annual cap hit.
The 23-year-old Swedish netminder has continued to impress as a seventh-round selection of the Golden Knights in 2021, and this past season was the most important in his development yet. On Oct. 26, 2025, Lindbom made his NHL debut against the Tampa Bay Lightning. It would be the first of eight starts at the NHL level for Lindbom that season, and he would get his first win in the NHL against the San Jose Sharks on Nov. 29, 2025.
Back with Vegas’ AHL affiliate Henderson Silver Knights, Lindbom put up top-five numbers in the league with a 2.16 goals against average, a .926 save percentage and 24 victories.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the past weekend’s NHL Entry Draft, upcoming prospect camps, and free agency opening this Wednesday, another topic looms beneath the surface as the Winnipeg Jets continue to field trade pitches for their star goaltender, Connor ****** ebuyck. As most of us know already, one of those reported trade pitches, per Frank Serevalli, came from the Carolina Hurricanes, offering 24-year-old defenseman Alexander Nikishin and a late first-round draft pick last week.
According to The Athletic’s Murat Ates, sources confirmed that pitch was too low.
And so, that brings us to the question: How much will the Hurricanes have to cough up to add the Olympic gold medalist to their roster, and would it help them or hurt them in the long run?
Everyone who could use a shiny new netminder seems to be in on ****** ebuyck – and you can’t blame them. He was recognized as the best goalie in the NHL two years in a row, winning the Vezina Trophy in 2024 and 2025, as well as helping to secure the William M. Jennings Trophy – given to the team with the fewest goals against – for the Winnipeg Jets both years, and was awarded the Hart Trophy as the league MVP in 2025.
Outside of awards, his numbers have proved to be more than satisfactory, holding a save percentage above .900 for ten years straight, with his only year on record below that number having been last season, where he still notched a .895 SV% despite the Jets’ struggles.

The first pick the Boston Bruins made in the 2026 NHL Draft was for 17-year-old goaltender Yuri Ivanov in the second round. Nearly 100 picks later, the Bruins used a second selection on a netminder in the sixth round.
With the 170th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the Boston Bruins selected 19-year-old goaltender Roberto Henriquez out of the USHL.
Henriquez is actually a Bratislava, Slovakia native, but he played for the Green Bay Gamblers in the United States Hockey League (USHL) in 2025-26.
During 37 games with the Gamblers, Henriquez posted an impressive 21-9-4 record with a .921 save percentage and two shutouts.

After selecting Egor Shilov in the second round, the Colorado Avalanche rounded out their 2026 draft class with a whopping eight more picks before the day was over. All-together collecting three forwards, four defensemen and two goaltenders as new prospects to the organization.
In the third round Beckett Hamilton was selected at 74th overall out of Red Deer in the WHL. He’s known as a hard-working well-rounded right shot center, which pairs well with perhaps a riskier upside bet in Shilovs from the previous round. Hamilton stands at 5-foot-11 and was ranked 33rd by NHL Central Scouting after putting up 62 points in 67 games. Hamilton has been a member of Team Canada contributing three goals at the U18 tournament.
A pair of picks by the Avalanche completed the fourth round. There they obtained their first goaltender of the draft in Tobias Tvrznik at 126th overall, He possesses the 6-foot-4 size the organization loves and plays for Wenatchee in the WHL. Altgough he was ranked 8th for North American goalies by Central Scouting, Tvrznik was drafted in his second time through the process. The Czech netminder is committed to Ohio State for the 2027-28 season.
Two picks later at 128th overall the first of several defensemen went off the board to Colorado with the selection of 5-foot-11 right shot Swedish defenseman Axel Elofsson. He scored 41 points in 39 games playing at the U20 level for Örebro and played six games for the organization at the SHL level. Eloffson has been an important player for the Swedish international team winning a gold at the U18, silver at the Hlinka Gretzky and bronze at the WJAC all in the 2025-26 season while also picking up accolades for most points and ***** ists. He was ranked 29th by Central Scouting for European players.
In the fifth round Joe Sakic executed his second ever move up the board utilizing their lowest seventh round pick at 222nd overall to jump nine spots to take right shot defenseman Cole Tuminaro at the 140th pick. He was ranked 96th by Central Scouting for North American skaters. It’s interesting strategy because the 6-foot-4 and 225 pound right hander is a 19-year-old re-entry who scored 16 points to go along with 148 penalty minutes. Every organization wants to add size and grit but these prospects are very difficult to develop. He’s excepted to plat at Cornell next season after leaving the USHL.

Ben Bowns is poised to join an illustrious group of Cardiff Devils players as the club celebrates his contribution in a testimonial game at Vindico Arena on Saturday, 20 June (17:00 BST).
As one of the Devils' longest serving players, the 35-year-old netminder joins fellow Great Britain internationals such as Mark Richardson, Matthew Myers and Ben Davies in being granted such an honour.
For a British goalie, Bowns has done pretty well.
"Looking back, it gives you goosebumps," he says.
"I think if someone had said this is what's going to happen over the next 12 years I would have said, 'no, you're joking, you're having a laugh'.
