Sabrina Carpenter brought playful charm and vintage romance to Bernadette Antwerp's latest knitwear campaign. The singer posed for the brand's Instagram page wearing a soft green knit mini dress. Choosing a daring, open-back silhouette, she commanded instant attention with her effortless take on countryside style. Her striking floral-knit look highlights the label's signature charm while making a memorable style statement for the brand.
For the shoot, Sabrina Carpenter wore a green Bernadette Antwerp knit minidress as she posed on a wooden porch overlooking a lake. The fitted bodice featured white daisy embroidery across the chest and shoulders, along with a bow at the back of the neckline. The open-back design extended from her shoulders to her waist before wrapping around the hips. The dress finished with a short hemline. The "Espresso" singer completed the outfit with a white crochet headscarf tied loosely around her head. Her blonde hair fell in loose waves beneath the scarf.
Carpenter leaned against the porch railing while glancing back over her shoulder for the camera. For the brand's photoshoot, she stood framed by greenery and a quiet lake view, striking a relaxed, sun-drenched pose. Ultimately, the dress gave Carpenter's outdoor shoot a breezy edge, with no major jewelry or accessories competing with the dress's standout cutout.
Carpenter constantly redefines playful, girl-next-door style with her signature charm. She easily transforms a demure floral knit into a surprisingly daring moment. Clearly, the soft green fabric caught the golden evening light with every pose. She effortlessly combines delicate embroidery with a dramatic cutout and relaxed countryside styling. Undoubtedly, Carpenter delivered one of Bernadette Antwerp's standout campaign looks. She continues to show how to wear vintage-inspired knitwear with effortless allure.

Bain Capital Ventures closed its 11th flagship fund at $1.6 billion on Wednesday, betting big on a "post-AGI world" that places AI agents as the chief economic driver of productivity.
The firm has been swapping software for something venture capital has never underwritten: AI-native companies that sell the work itself rather than the technology behind it.
Software startups made up 80% of Fund IX and around 20% of Fund X, said partner Matt Harris. For Fund X, AI-native startups made up 80% of the portfolio.
"The classic software startup is just not being born anymore," Harris said. "These companies where AI is just one feature among many, I think that's thoroughly uninteresting to us and, most importantly, to the most ambitious founders."
BCV defines "post-AGI" as AI agents being as productive as humans. This model's first proof point came in the form of Reserv, an AI-native insurance claims administration startup that the firm incubated with Altai Ventures and other partners. According to Harris, the company hit $100 million in revenue in its second full year. In May, the company raised a $125 million Series C.

Wealthfront Corporation (NASDAQ:WLTH) reported on September 9 that fiscal second-quarter revenue increased 1% to $91.9 million, despite platform ***** ets rising 12% to $99 billion. The quarter ended July 31, 2026. Funded clients increased 14% to 1.51 million, and platform ***** ets surpassed $100 billion by the end of August.
Platform ***** ets measure financial ***** ets held in client accounts. Their growth reflects both net deposits and market movements, so the headline increase does not represent new client money alone.
Adjusted EBITDA declined 15% to $38.1 million, with its margin falling to 41% from 49%. Wealthfront Corporation (NASDAQ:WLTH) defines this non-GAAP measure as net income excluding interest expense, income taxes, depreciation and amortization, stock-based compensation, fair-value changes in convertible notes, warrant liabilities and simple agreements for future equity, and nonrecurring expenses. Adjusted EBITDA margin divides that figure by revenue.
The advisory business is translating ***** et growth into revenue. Investment advisory ***** ets increased 30% to $54.1 billion, while advisory revenue rose 31% to $28.8 million. Those results show that the expanding investment business is generating a larger recurring fee stream.
For Wealthfront Corporation (NASDAQ:WLTH), this creates an opportunity to deepen client relationships as savings move toward longer-term investment goals. A growing advisory base could support more durable relationships, provided clients remain invested and continue contributing.

The choice between established ****** ans and digital-first challengers defines many modern portfolios. In the financial realm, investors must decide if JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) or SoFi Technologies (NASDAQ:SOFI) is the better buy for long-term growth.
JPMorgan Chase operates as a global financial heavyweight, offering everything from wealth management to retail branches. Conversely, SoFi Technologies focuses on an integrated mobile app to help members borrow, save, and invest. While one relies on massive scale, the other bets on fintech innovation to capture a younger, tech-savvy demographic.
JPMorgan Chase functions as a cornerstone of the global economy, managing a vast array of services including ****** et management and investment banking. In its latest annual report, filed for 2025, the firm highlighted its reach through more than 5,000 branches across the 48 contiguous states. It serves a diverse client base ranging from individual consumers and small businesses to large corporations and governments. The firm provides a comprehensive range of financial services, including transaction processing and commercial banking on a global scale.
Financial performance remained robust in FY 2025, with revenue reaching nearly $182.4 billion. This represented a growth rate of approximately 3.3% compared to the previous year, contributing to a net income of close to $57.0 billion. The net margin, which measures the percentage of revenue kept as profit after all expenses, sat at roughly 20.4% for the period. This consistent profitability underscores the scale of its operations across diverse global markets.
As of its December 2025 balance sheet, the firm reported a debt-to-equity ratio of nearly 2.6x. This ratio measures total debt against shareholder equity, with a higher number indicating more reliance on borrowed funds to finance growth. The current ratio, which compares short-term ****** ets to short-term liabilities, was approximately 0.5x, while free cash flow reached a negative $147.8 billion. Free cash flow is the cash a company generates after accounting for cash outflows to support operations and maintain its capital ****** ets.

Next year's Social Security cost-of-living increase looks like it will be 3.6%. The AARP made this forecast. The real figure will be released on October 14. It is based, according to The New York Times, on "the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, or CPI-W. It averages the figures for July, August, and September. That may be fine for people who have a lot of money. For those who don't, it's a problem.
Most of the conversation about Social Security is that it will "run out of money".That happens in late 2032. It really doesn't run out. The payout drops to about 79% of the current total.
People choose one of three options. Social Security defines them as "early eligibility," which can start at 62. "Retirement" age is 65. People can get the largest payout possible if they wait until age 70.
Analysts have proposed several ways to "save" Social Security. Among those is to add two years to three retirement options. Another is to raise the wage level cap when people pay in. Today, for most people, that is $184,500 a year. The most controversial idea is that people who make a great deal of money after they retire should pay little, or nothing.
Is 3.6% enough? Almost certainly not. Over the next year, the CPI could surge. Energy prices will be a factor. So will food. And food prices are affected by energy prices. Seventy percent of all Us freight is moved by truck. Diesel is at its highest price ever. Some of that will be passed on to consumers next year.

Arcosa, Inc. (NYSE:ACA) shareholders approved the proposed acquisition by CRH plc (NYSE:CRH) on September 4. The merger agreement received 39,595,867 votes in favor, compared with 66,113 against and 16,786 abstentions. Approximately 39.7 million shares, representing 80.8% of shares outstanding as of the record date, were present or represented by proxy.
The vote satisfies a major condition for the all-cash transaction. CRH plc (NYSE:CRH) agreed to pay $150 per share, valuing Arcosa, Inc. (NYSE:ACA) at an enterprise value of approximately $8.5 billion. The companies continue to expect a first-quarter 2027 closing, subject to required regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
CRH plc (NYSE:CRH) described the valuation as 11.5 times estimated 2026 adjusted EBITDA, a company-defined non-GAAP measure, including $175 million of targeted annual run-rate cost synergies expected by year three. CRH plc (NYSE:CRH) defines adjusted EBITDA as earnings from continuing operations before interest, taxes, depreciation, depletion and amortization, with exclusions for impairments, divestitures and investments, equity-method results, substantial acquisition costs and specified pension items.
The result removes the principal seller-side approval risk. The merger no longer depends on another shareholder meeting, and support was decisive among the shares represented. Financing appears less exposed than regulatory clearance: CRH plc (NYSE:CRH) plans to use available cash and committed debt financing, while completion is not subject to a financing condition.
The strategic rationale is tangible. Arcosa, Inc. (NYSE:ACA) would add 109 quarries and yards, nine asphalt plants, 19 terminals and approximately 35 million tons of 2025 aggregates shipments. CRH plc (NYSE:CRH) expects more than 265 million tons of combined annualized aggregates production. Arcosa, Inc. (NYSE:ACA) also brings engineered structures serving grid modernization, electrification and data-center construction.

GitLab Inc. (NASDAQ:GTLB) reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $286.3 million, up 21% year over year, as gross bookings reached a company record. Annual recurring revenue, or ARR, is the annualized run rate of subscription revenue at period end and excludes professional services. GitLab Inc. (NASDAQ:GTLB) defines Net ARR as the change in ARR between periods on a bookings basis, measured by opportunity close date. Quarterly Net ARR grew more than 40%, which does not mean total ending ARR grew at that rate.
Dollar-based net retention was 117%, the same rounded figure as the first quarter. GitLab Inc. (NASDAQ:GTLB) said the underlying rate accelerated sequentially, although it declined from 121% one year earlier. Customers generating more than $100,000 of ARR increased 17% to 1,571. Current remaining performance obligations, or contracted revenue expected to be recognized within 12 months, rose 20% to $744.7 million. Total remaining performance obligations increased 16% to $1.2 billion.
Record bookings and management-reported sequential improvement in dollar-based net retention create a credible path to future subscription revenue. First orders more than doubled, while first-order Net ARR grew nearly 40%. Deals worth at least $500,000 increased more than 150%, and the Ultimate tier reached 59% of ARR after growing approximately 35%.
AI and consumption products are gaining early traction. Duo Agent Platform paid consumption run rate grew roughly 50% sequentially. GitLab Inc. (NASDAQ:GTLB) defines paid consumption run rate as a point-in-time annualized measure of credit and Flex commitments plus paid on-demand consumption, excluding trials and promotional credits. It exceeded $40 million, up from $15 million entering the quarter, but is not revenue or ARR. The increase included Flex, where existing subscription dollars can enter the commitment pool, so it was not necessarily incremental consumption demand.
GitLab Flex attracted more than 130 customers and over $20 million of commitments during its first six weeks, with most occurring at renewal. Flex lets customers allocate one commitment across seats, credits, and eligible consumption products, potentially reducing procurement friction as AI-driven activity grows.

Sophie Rain defines the image she offers subscribers as performance, denying her private choice as part of her marketing strategy.
In an interview for Where Is The Buzz, the owner of the multimillion-dollar business was asked about the strangeness of her separation between her product and her private life, since she mentioned on a talk show hosted by Bill Maher that she had never been in a relationship.
Rain understands the question's context.
"I understand why it sounds like a contradiction, but what I share online is still a performance," she said.

CAIRO (AP) — The new head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council on Sunday said Tehran plans to announce an "exclusion zone" outside the Strait of Hormuz aimed at vessels it believes are attempting to transit the waterway.
Mohsen Rezaei's comments to Iran's state broadcaster came with few details, a day after the U.S. struck three Iranian oil tankers in response to Tehran launching ballistic missiles at U.S. warships. Experts called the launches a dangerous escalation after Iran's previous attacks at sea targeted commercial shipping.
The new zone should be announced in the coming days and weeks and "will begin from the line of the U.S. naval blockade, extend toward the Strait of Hormuz, and from this side continue into the Persian Gulf," Rezaei said. "Any ship that enters this area with the intention of passing through the Strait of Hormuz and is identified will be placed on our sanctions list."
It is not clear where Iran defines the location of the weekslong U.S. blockade, which is aimed at Iranian ports and keeping Tehran from shipping out its oil. The U.S. military has said over 20 warships are supporting the blockade, which as of Sunday had redirected 92 commercial ships and disabled three.
The U.S. has been introducing new measures to increase the economic pain on Iran after negotiations collapsed and no end to the intermittent fighting appears in sight. Meanwhile, Iran continues to attack some ships trying to transit the strait, which has become an important source of leverage for Tehran in the war that began Feb. 28 with U.S. and Israeli strikes.

"This is a case about swinging ****** s," wrote Judge Lawrence VanDyke of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit in March. "You may think that swinging ****** s shouldn't appear in a judicial opinion. You're not wrong. But as much as you might understandably be shocked and displeased to merely encounter that phrase in this opinion, I hope we all can agree that it is far more jarring for the unsuspecting and exposed women at Olympus Spa—some as young as thirteen—to be visually ****** aulted by the real thing."
VanDyke was dissenting from the 9th Circuit's decision not to revisit Olympus v. Armstrong, a case that saw an all-female Korean spa sue on First Amendment grounds. The business, according to the Washington State Human Rights Commission (WSHRC), had broken the law when it declined to accept a preoperative transgender woman. This was a problem for Olympus Spa, which requires nudity in its pool area, and whose business model, relatedly, hinges on catering to a single-sex clientele.
In ruling against the business last year, the 9th Circuit acknowledged the thorniness of the case. "We are not unmindful of the concerns and beliefs raised by the Spa," wrote Judge M. Margaret McKeown. "Indeed, the Spa may have other avenues to challenge the enforcement action. But whatever recourse it may have, that relief cannot come from the First Amendment."
Olympus Spa is now taking its case to the Supreme Court. McKeown and VanDyke, whose vulgar approach elicited a rebuke from 27 of his colleagues, may appear irreconcilably at odds. In some sense, they are. Yet the rival sensibilities also help paint a more complete picture of a complicated case, one that naturally provokes strong reactions but for which there may be no immediately satisfying answer under the Constitution.
The ordeal traces back to 2020. Haven Wilvich, who has identified as a "nonbinary trans woman," lodged a complaint with the WSHRC after being turned away from the Olympus Spa location in Lynnwood, Washington, for having a ****** . (The spa says it accepts postoperative transgender women.) The Washington State Law Against Discrimination (WLAD) bars discrimination based on many characteristics, including ****** ual orientation, which the state defines as encompassing "heterosexuality, ****** ****** uality, bisexuality, and gender expression or identity."

Palladyne AI reported headline growth that looks dramatic: second-quarter revenue rose 470% year over year and 63% sequentially to $5.783 million. Palladyne AI Corp. (NASDAQ:PDYN) ended June with $24.6 million of backlog, up 43% during the quarter after roughly $13 million of new contract awards, net of revenue recognized. Management expects most of that backlog to become revenue over the next 12 to 18 months and reiterated 2026 revenue guidance of $24 million to $27 million, or 357% to 415% growth.
Copyright: ralwel / 123RF Stock Photo
The comparison needs an important qualification. Palladyne said the increase came from acquisitions as well as organic growth. Its 10-Q says second-quarter product revenue was derived mainly from businesses acquired in November 2025, while engineering-services revenue came from one acquired business. Revenue consisted of hardware products, development contracts, and engineering services; the filing explicitly says Palladyne had generated no software-product revenue to date. The quarter therefore does not yet demonstrate scaled sales of its proprietary autonomy software.
The bull case is that backlog and defense awards provide a bridge to that commercialization. Programs involving SwarmOS, Gremlin-X, BRAIN flight computers, and Air Force development work may deepen customer relationships. But award values do not become revenue immediately, and fixed-price development work can produce weak margins if actual costs exceed estimates. Palladyne separately put total estimated contract value at $30.9 million, but that broader figure includes unexercised options and should not be confused with firm backlog.
The loss profile remains severe. Operating loss widened to $13.413 million from $8.094 million a year earlier, and net loss reached $12.326 million. Palladyne held $33.774 million of cash and equivalents plus $9.972 million of marketable securities, totaling $43.746 million. Its reiterated full-year operating-cash-burn outlook was $32 million to $36 million; the company defines that measure as operating cash used plus capital expenditures.

As the artificial intelligence build-out matures, investors must decide whether to back a specialized connectivity player like Astera Labs (NASDAQ:ALAB) or the industry ******* an NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) for their portfolios.
Astera Labs focuses on the high-speed connectivity needed to move data between processors, while NVIDIA provides the massive computing power that defines the modern data center. While both benefit from infrastructure demand, they offer different scales and market roles. Comparing their financial health and valuations reveals which provides a better balance of risk and reward.
Astera Labs designs semiconductor-based connectivity solutions that address data bottlenecks in rack-scale AI infrastructure. The company works closely with hyperscalers and AI accelerator vendors like Amazon to ensure seamless data flow. One end customer accounted for over 70% of revenue in the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2025, while the top three customers represented roughly 86%. Customer concentration like this adds a layer of risk to the business.
Financial performance has been strong, driven by the rapid expansion of AI data centers. In the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2025, revenue reached $852.5 million, representing a growth of 115.1% compared with the prior year. The company reported net income of $219.1 million, which resulted in a net margin of 25.7% for the period.
As of its December 2025 balance sheet, the current ratio stands at 10.2x. This ratio measures a company's ability to cover short term obligations with short term ******* ets, where a higher number suggests a strong liquidity position. The debt-to-equity ratio is zero, indicating that the company carries virtually no debt relative to the value of its shareholders' equity. Free cash flow reached $281.8 million in the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2025. Note that stock-based compensation (SBC) represented 50.1% of operating cash flow, which inflates reported cash generation since SBC is a non-cash expense added back in the cash flow statement.

PARIS – Dan Hooker is well aware of his current role in the UFC's lightweight division.
Hooker (24-14 MMA, 14-10 UFC) welcomes Salahdine Parnasse (23-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) to the octagon in Saturday's UFC Fight Night 287 main event at Accor Arena (Paramount+).
Hooker is currently on a two-fight losing skid, and will be facing Parnasse in enemy territory. While he put his hand up to potentially welcome Usman Nurmagomedov to the UFC, Hooker understands he's in a must-win situation this weekend.
"After a couple of losses and then moving your way down the rankings, I'm more than happy to play the role that I'm in right now and the role that I'm in right now is gatekeeping the top 10 of the UFC's lightweight division," Hooker said during Wednesday's UFC Fight Night 287 media day. "And I'm more than happy to play that role. Is that a position that defines my career? No, it's not. You get your hand raised, and then I'll be looking up at the rankings, and I'll be looking to get back in the mix and to get myself back to **** le contention.
"Yes, you're playing the role of a gatekeeper right now, but that doesn't define your career, the future of your career. The beauty of the sport is it can change in one single night. You get your hand raised against Salahdine with an impressive fight, and showcase the skill and the level that I'm prepared to showcase, that I anticipate of showcasing, we're back in the mix, we're not playing that role anymore, we're targeting someone in the top 10."

Large-cap value is beating the broader market in 2026, but VTV, COWZ, and DHS capture the rotation differently. VTV offers broad traditional value exposure, COWZ targets companies with high free-cash-flow yields, and DHS emphasizes high-dividend stocks.
COWZ offers the strongest quality-oriented value tilt. Its free-cash-flow methodology has helped it outperform while avoiding some weaknesses of traditional valuation screens, although investors pay a higher 0.49% expense ratio.
VTV and DHS fill clearer portfolio roles. VTV is the ultra-low-cost core option at 0.03%, while DHS offers the highest income focus with monthly distributions and a yield around 3%.

Large-cap value has quietly outrun the broader market in 2026, and three exchange-traded funds capture that shift while paying meaningful dividends: the Vanguard Value ETF (NYSEARCA:VTV), the Pacer US Cash Cows 100 ETF (CBOE:COWZ), and the WisdomTree U.S. High Dividend Fund (NYSEARCA:DHS). ADNOC has awarded McDermott a contract worth more than $1 billion for a major offshore pressure-boosting facility at Abu Dhabi's Umm Shaif field, as the UAE accelerates investment in natural gas production.
The engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract covers Package 4 of ADNOC's Umm Shaif Integrated Gas Cap and Surface Pressure Boosting Project. McDermott and its Qingdao McDermott Wuchuan consortium will construct and install a new jacket and topside while modifying existing offshore infrastructure.
McDermott did not disclose the exact contract value but classified it as a "mega" award, which the company defines as exceeding $1 billion. The company said the completed topside will be among the heaviest offshore modules ever installed in the Middle East.
The contract follows ADNOC's $6.2-billion final investment decision in July to develop the Umm Shaif Gas Cap alongside TotalEnergies, Eni and China National Petroleum Corporation. The wider project includes three EPC contracts worth a combined $5.1 billion and a 14-well drilling program.
ADNOC expects the development to unlock more than 600 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas and ***** ociated liquids, equivalent to roughly 10% of current UAE domestic gas consumption. First production is targeted for 2030.

Hayden Panettiere's estranged mother Lesley Vogel sat down with "Good Morning America" for an interview following her daughter's death on Monday, and promptly called out her "haters."
During the conversation, Vogel recalled her final interactions with her daughter, and noted that she was "numb" when she got the call about Panettiere's death at 36. When asked how she's doing now, Vogel noted that "it's a process," before calling out those criticizing her.
"I think it will probably hit me later on," she explained. "I would say to the haters out there, you don't have a right to tell me how I mourn the loss of my second child. That's my domain."
Indeed, Vogel lost her son Jansen Panettiere back in 2023, at just 28 years old. He died from heart complications. When asked how Vogel moves forward after losing two children, she touted her "inner strength."
"I think you just have to find that inner strength," she said. "I have been knocked down throughout my life, and I am not complaining, because I have the strength to get back up. And that really is — it's not if we fall, it's how we get back up that defines who we are."

Friday ended with both the Nasdaq and the S&P 500 posted their first weekly decline in four weeks. Each kept their year-to-date gains above 12%. And both indexes also undercut the low of their Aug. 4 follow through days. A key difference is that, in addition, the Nasdaq ended Friday's session below its 21-day exponential moving average, while the S&P 500 managed to hold narrowly above that key technical line of support.
That means, according to IBD Senior Market ****** yst Mike Webster during Friday's Stock Market Today video, that this is a very tricky time. The undercut by both indexes negates the follow through day that turned the rally attempt into a confirmed the uptrend. (The uptrend remains intact unless an index cuts below the first up day of the rally attempt, which occurred July 30.)
But the Nasdaq's close below its 21-day line also puts it in limbo with regard to what IBD defines as a power trend.
A power trend is a robust set of market circumstances which improve the odds for investors. Webster describes a power trend as "a state of the market where you trade differently...it allows you to be more aggressive longer." But the Nasdaq's undercut waved a caution flag.
"You can't have a power trend on the Nasdaq anytime soon," Webster says, "because you need that low above your 21-day for 10 consecutive days. So we need at least a couple of weeks before that can happen."

CAIRO (AP) — Palestinians face inflated prices for groceries and batteries, hospitals have turned to smugglers for medicine and equipment, Israeli soldiers and other middlemen are accused of pocketing millions of dollars, and the Hamas-led government takes a cut as the smuggling of goods restricted by Israel into the Gaza Strip has boomed, according to an ******* ociated Press investigation based on court documents and interviews with traders, truckers and officials.
Cigarettes and tobacco — banned from entry to Gaza since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023 — rake in the biggest profits for smugglers and merchants, officials and residents say. But everything from iPhones and solar panels to fuel and anesthetics are also brought into the tiny coastal territory illegally. Israel restricts quantities of some goods and bans others outright. It defines many as "dual use" — including concrete, vehicle parts and X-ray machines — ******* erting they could be repurposed by Hamas militants for military functions.
To build a picture of the illicit trade, The ******* ociated Press ******* yzed Israeli court documents and spoke to five major traders who import smuggled goods, three merchants who sell them, and two truckers — all on condition of anonymity because of their roles in the illegal smuggling business and concerns about their safety in Gaza. AP also interviewed four Palestinian officials, two on condition of anonymity because of worries about retribution from Israel, Hamas or merchants; two U.N. officials, on condition of anonymity over concern for their jobs; and a dozen Palestinian residents, who spoke about how they get everyday items and their skyrocketing costs.
AP found a rush from all sides to profit off the tight restrictions imposed by Israel on Gaza and its 2 million residents, most of whom have been displaced by the war. Smuggling rings — which have long flourished, circumventing two decades of Israeli blockades and building a network of businessmen and collaborators — pull in millions of dollars. Payoffs go to Israeli troops, drivers, warehouse workers and others on both sides of the border, according to traders and court documents.
"The occupation has left no other option before us. Smuggling has become routine," one trader said, noting that some in Israel's military are willing to help — for a price. "We benefit, they benefit and the people in Gaza benefit because we provide goods, including food, to the market."

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) opened at $69,289.44 on Thursday, August 20, 2026, 7.1% higher than Wednesday's opening price. As of 9:15 a.m. ET this morning, the price of bitcoin moved up to $71,980.32.
Ethereum (ETH-USD) opened at $2,251.93 on Thursday, August 20, 2026, up 17.5% from Wednesday's opening price. The price of ethereum moved higher this morning to $2,293.10 as of 9:16 a.m. ET.
Bitcoin and ethereum prices jumped higher after President Trump pushed Congress to pass the Clarity Act, legislation that defines whether cryptocurrencies are regulated as securities or commodities. The bill is currently stalled in the Senate and scheduled for a procedural vote in September.
A decline in long-term Treasury yields also supported the move up in crypto prices. The yield dip followed the U.S. Treasury's announcement that it would double long-term debt buybacks. Lower long-term borrowing rates tend to increase demand for riskier ******* ets, including digital currencies, as investors seek out higher yields.

On August 6, Nature's Sunshine Products (NASDAQ:NATR) held its second-quarter earnings call, and the numbers told two very different stories at once. Net sales hit $117 million, the strongest second quarter in the company's history. Gross margin climbed to 73.7%, the highest level in over four years. Yet management also cut its full-year sales and profit guidance, pointing to currency swings and a sudden reversal in China. The tension between a record quarter and a lowered forecast defines where this stock stands today.
North America digital sales grew 26% year-over-year in the quarter, and new customers acquired through the digital channel rose by the same amount. Autoship subscriptions made up 36% of website orders, while the newer social commerce channel jumped 177%, with autoship accounting for 60% of that revenue. Management noted that subscription customers carry a lifetime value more than three times higher than other buyers. The digital business overall is on pace to reach $50 million in sales by the end of 2026, just five years after it launched.
Growth outside China held up too. ****** an sales jumped 50%, and the company's Synergy Eagle system, which operates in ****** an, Taiwan and Korea, grew sales 11% with China excluded from the Asia Pacific total. Europe sales rose 4% to $26.7 million. The company also strengthened its leadership bench, naming Ruth Perkins, a finance veteran of Ford, Estee Lauder and PepsiCo, as CFO effective September 1, and Janine Weber, who helped build Rodan + Fields into a $1 billion skin care brand, as President of North America effective August 10.
China sales fell 20% in the quarter, a sharp reversal from growth that had exceeded 30% over the prior year, which management attributed to unspecified operational issues. That slowdown, combined with currency headwinds, pushed the company to lower its full-year net sales guidance to a range of $490 million to $500 million, down from $500 million to $515 million, and to cut its EBITDA guidance to $48 million to $52 million from $50 million to $54 million. SG&A expenses rose to $44.9 million from $43.7 million a year earlier, and management expects that figure to run between $45 million and $47 million for the rest of the year as growth investments ramp up. Volume incentives climbed to 30.6% of net sales from 29.9%.
The company also spent part of the quarter without a permanent CFO after Shane Jones departed in June, and executives acknowledged that the North American direct selling business has been under pressure for some time, with a planned overhaul not arriving until early 2027.

Of all the recruitment decisions a Premier League club makes in a given summer, the one that most often defines its season is also the one clubs seem least equipped to get right.
Not the marquee striker, not the midfield general, but the goalkeeper. It is the position where a single error is replayed for a week, where the qualities that matter most are the hardest to measure, and where the cost of indecision is paid in dropped points long before it shows up in a highlight reel.
The modern game has quietly made the job more complicated than it has ever been, and the clubs that treat goalkeeper recruitment as a straightforward search for the best shot-stopper are increasingly finding themselves a step behind.
For most of the sport's history the brief was simple. A goalkeeper kept the ball out of the net, and the best ones kept out more than the rest. That version still matters, but it is no longer the whole job, and in some systems it is not even the most important part of it.
The shift toward playing out from the back has turned the goalkeeper into the first phase of a team's build-up. Managers now want a keeper who can receive the ball under pressure, draw a presser in and break a line with distribution, and hold a high defensive line's worth of nerve when the alternative is a hopeful clearance. Those are different skills from reflex shot-stopping, and occasionally they pull in opposite directions. A brilliant shot-stopper who is uncomfortable in possession can be a liability in a possession-based side, while a superb passer who is shaky under a high ball can undermine a team that defends deep.

AI's infrastructure boom has already been running at a staggering pace, and this week it received a further $500 billion vote of confidence from Wall Street's biggest names.
Nvidia signed memorandums of understanding with six of the world's largest ******* et managers and investment banks, including Blackstone, KKR and Apollo Global Management, to raise the capital to fund what it is calling "AI factories."
While not guaranteed, the deal signals that demand for AI infrastructure is showing no signs of slowing. VCs are backing that same buildout by funding the semiconductors that power it.
Global funding for AI and machine learning semiconductors reached $14.1 billion in the first half of the year, according to PitchBook's latest AI Report, on track to surpass last year's annual total by almost 50%. Both Q1 and Q2 this year are the two highest quarters on record for investment. Deal count is also projected to land above 2025's figure.
"AI is not just a tool, it redefines technology," Sriram Viswanathan, founding managing partner of deep tech VC firm Celesta Capital, said. "If you accept the notion that everything is going to change, the question is, what is the tip of the spear? That is semiconductors, because that powers everything."

MKS Inc. (NASDAQ:MKSI) held its second-quarter earnings call on August 6, and the numbers described one of the company's strongest quarters in years. Revenue jumped 28% year-over-year to $1.25 billion while profit grew three times faster than sales. Yet on that same call, the company's own finance chief admitted growth is starting to cost something. That tension, blazing revenue growth paired with a quiet margin warning, defines where this AI-linked semiconductor supplier stands heading into the back half of the year.
Management described demand accelerating across the entire business. Semiconductor revenue climbed 28% year-over-year to $554 million, up from 13% growth just one quarter earlier, as NAND upgrade cycles and advanced logic investment pick up steam. Electronics and Packaging revenue jumped 44% to $381 million, powered by what executives called the strongest chemistry equipment demand the company has ever seen, tied directly to AI server buildouts. Specialty Industrial revenue rose 14% to $313 million on datacom and defense strength.
To keep pace, MKS is doubling capacity at its Guangzhou chemistry equipment factory, expected online in the third quarter of 2027, while its new Malaysia supercenter has been sized to handle industry-wide wafer fab equipment spending of $200 billion to $250 billion. That growth is reaching the bottom line too: non-GAAP earnings per share hit $3.30, up 86% year-over-year, as operating margin expanded 480 basis points to 25.6%. Free cash flow reached $188 million, part of which funded a $100 million voluntary debt prepayment in August 2026 that pulled leverage down a full turn to 3 times EBITDA.
Not every part of the story is as clean. CFO Ram Mayampurath acknowledged the equipment sales strategy is a "headwind temporarily to the gross margin," since equipment carries lower margins than MKS's proprietary chemistry and the company is absorbing facility ramp costs at the same time. Gross margin came in at 47.6% for the quarter, but that figure included a full percentage point of one-time tariff and duty refund benefits, meaning the underlying number was softer.
Guidance for the third quarter puts gross margin near 47%, essentially flat even as revenue climbs further, a sign the mix pressure isn't going away soon. Management also flagged that working capital and capital spending will keep rising through the rest of the year, adding another call on cash even as the company tries to keep deleveraging.

Coupang Inc. (NYSE:CPNG) reported results on August 4 for the quarter ended June 30, and its two headline numbers point in opposite directions. Net revenues rose 4% year over year to $8.9 billion, or 10% on a constant currency basis, while the company swung to an operating loss of $556 million from a profit a year earlier. Roughly $410 million of that came from administrative fines in South Korea, but even excluding the fines, operating results still fell $295 million short of last year. Growth and profitability moved apart this quarter, and that split now defines the stock's story.
Coupang's newer businesses are growing much faster than its core marketplace. The Developing Offerings segment posted net revenues of $1.4 billion, up 20% year-over-year on a reported basis and 24% on a constant currency basis, and its adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed by $16 million from a year ago, a sign those newer bets are moving toward breakeven rather than away from it. Product Commerce, the core retail and grocery business, still added customers, with active customers reaching 24.7 million, up 3% year over year.
That growth is coming from a strategy built around proprietary logistics rather than a marketplace model borrowed from elsewhere. Coupang runs its own end-to-end infrastructure for its Rocket Fresh grocery service and has pushed into luxury goods through its Farfetch acquisition, layering new categories onto the fast delivery network it already built across South Korea and Taiwan. The company also generated $34.5 billion in revenue for 2025, up roughly 14% from the prior year, a reminder that the growth story predates this particular quarter.
The damage was not confined to the fines. Gross profit fell 3% year-over-year to $2.5 billion, and gross margin slipped 188 basis points to 28.2%. Inside Product Commerce, adjusted EBITDA fell $281 million from last year to $382 million, with margin down 390 basis points to 5.1%. Company-wide adjusted EBITDA margin came in at just 1.8%, down 318 basis points, so even the version of profitability that strips out one-time items is shrinking.
Cash generation is thinning too. Trailing twelve-month operating cash flow fell $484 million to $1.4 billion, and free cash flow dropped to just $105 million, down $679 million from a year earlier. That is a steep decline for a company that still spent $459 million buying back 23.2 million shares during the quarter. Coupang's profitability has historically run thin even in good years, with 2025 net income of about $208 million translating to a net margin near 0.6%, while stock-based compensation made up roughly 26.8% of operating cash flow that year.
