On August 28, Frontline (NYSE:FRO) posted the best quarter in company history, with net income of $659 million and adjusted profit of $580 million for the second quarter of 2026, up $235 million from the prior quarter. The gains came from tanker rates that climbed across every vessel class Frontline operates, from its largest crude carriers to its smaller product tankers. CEO Lars Barstad described a market with no playbook, one where geopolitical disruption is reshaping how oil moves around the world. The bigger question left hanging on the call is how much of that strength holds once the disruptions ease.
VLCC rates hit $153,000 per day in the second quarter of 2026, while Suezmax and LR2/Aframax vessels earned $111,000 and $92,400 per day. That strength has carried into the third quarter, where Frontline has already booked 86% of VLCC days at $157,000 per day, 79% of Suezmax days at $117,000 per day, and 70% of LR2 days at $81,000 per day, evidence that rates are holding rather than sliding back. The fleet backing those numbers is young and efficient, averaging 6.6 years old, fully eco-designed, and 69% scrubber-fitted, which keeps cash breakeven costs between $22,200 and $25,700 per day, well under what the ships are currently earning.
That spread between cost and rate is throwing off real cash. Management estimated annual cash generation potential at $2.3 billion, or $10.35 per share, based on rates as of August 28, a 24% yield against the current share price. The balance sheet has room to match it: $1.2 billion in liquidity, no debt maturities until 2030, and a refinancing that cut the average interest rate margin by 52 basis points to 1.26%. Frontline also collected $270 million selling two VLCCs at about $135 million apiece, with Barstad noting some buyers are paying premiums for older tankers just to control their own logistics chains.
Much of the current rate strength traces back to friction rather than growth in oil demand. Crude exports from inside the Strait of Hormuz are down 82% amid recent disruptions, and China's crude imports have fallen 35%, cushioned by inventory drawdowns rather than fresh buying. Barstad pointed to a 23% increase in VLCC idling days, driven by ship-to-ship transfers off Fujairah and Malaysia that can triple the distance a cargo travels before reaching its final buyer. That inefficiency is tightening effective fleet supply even as actual volumes shrink, which is a different story than genuine demand growth.

Tampa Bay must trim its roster to 53 players by Sunday evening, and while many of the decisions will involve players who entered training camp fighting uphill battles, the Buccaneers' improved depth could also lead to a few surprising names being left off the initial roster. Here are three players who could find themselves on the wrong side of the numbers.
Of all the potential cuts, Sean Tucker would probably be the most surprising. Tucker has shown he can produce when given opportunities, and he led Tampa Bay with eight touchdowns last season. He also brings value on special teams and has averaged 5.1 yards per carry over his first three NFL seasons. The issue is Josh Williams's emergence and the $3.5 million price tag Tucker carries. That's quite the price for an RB3, especially with Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell firmly established as Tampa Bay's top two backs. Tucker and Williams are competing for one spot unless the Buccaneers keep four running backs. Todd Bowles admitted Saturday that the competition went "back and forth" throughout the preseason and called it a tough decision. Williams getting offensive snaps ahead of Tucker during the preseason finale was also noteworthy. Tucker's track record makes him difficult to move on from, but roster construction and cost could ultimately work against him.
Payne Durham has been a regular part of Tampa Bay's offense over the past three seasons, but the changing makeup of the tight end room could put him in a more vulnerable position than expected. Cade Otton remains entrenched as the starter, while rookie Bauer Sharp has continued to make a case for a role. Even though he has shown more than his more direct competition, Devin Culp, Ko Kieft being healthy adds another body to the room who contributes on both offense and special teams. Durham's biggest argument is his blocking. At 6'6 and 253 pounds, he has provided the Buccaneers with a physical presence at the position and has experience playing meaningful offensive snaps. But if Tampa Bay believes Sharp can eventually handle some of those responsibilities while offering more upside, Durham could become an unexpected casualty of the numbers game.
Josh Hayes has survived Tampa Bay's final cuts in each of the past three seasons largely because of his special teams ability, but this could finally be the year his roster spot becomes vulnerable. Hayes has been one of Tampa Bay's most consistent special teams contributors and has also provided emergency depth in the secondary. But Tampa Bay has added more young talent to its secondary, creating a situation where the Buccaneers could prioritize upside at cornerback rather than keep a player primarily for his special teams role. Ayden Garnes and "Pepe" Williams have made the most of their opportunities with the starting corners dealing with injuries and have turned conversations of the corner room being a weakness to being one of their strengths. If you are just starting out as an investor and looking to generate a reliable income stream, you should begin your search with companies such as Realty Income (NYSE: O), PepsiCo (NASDAQ: PEP), and Enbridge (NYSE: ENB). In fact, these three stocks could offer new investors a highly diverse portfolio with a relatively small investment of even $5,000. Here's a look at each of these high-yield dividend stocks and why they work so well together.
Realty Income is the largest net-lease real estate investment trust (REIT). That means that it owns properties and leases them to tenants, but the tenants agree to pay most property-level operating expenses. This reduces Realty Income's costs and risk because it doesn't have to handle day-to-day operations at its properties. The company owns over 15,500 properties across the retail and industrial sectors, including unique property types such as casinos and data centers. And its portfolio spans both North America and Europe.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
The big story here, however, is Realty Income's commitment to the dividend, which has been increased annually for 31 years. It is paid monthly, which is why the company trademarked the nickname "The Monthly Dividend Company." The REIT is built from the ground up to be a reliable dividend payer, with a diversified foundation that it has gradually expanded over time, building on the company's strengths to enter new markets and property niches. For example, it recently started offering institutional ***** et management services, generating a new fee-based income stream for shareholders. The key is that the services it provides are essentially built on what it is already doing. More revenue, little extra work.
With a well-above-market 5.1% dividend yield, Realty Income is a solid foundation for a diversified dividend portfolio.

According to MARCA, Real Madrid veteran defender Antonio Rudiger has a strong chance of starting later today when the team take on Malaga at the Santiago Bernabeu.
After Germany were eliminated in the first knockout round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on penalties against Paraguay, the senior centre-back went on holiday early. That allowed him to be involved in Mourinho's plans from the very beginning.
Yet, with the third league matchday approaching, he remains the only fit first-team outfield player, aside from the seven injured players, who has yet to feature.
Aware of the importance of making a strong start, the Portuguese tactician has wanted the centre of his defence to be a position of strength.
As a result, Ibrahima Konate and Dean Huijsen started both the matches against RCD Espanyol and Real Sociedad.

After the Women's First Team sealed a 1-0 win over Como Women on Matchday 2 of the 2026/27 Serie A Women's Cup, coach Isaac Guerrero and goalscorer Lea Khelifi shared their thoughts.
"We expected a game like this. When we played them in pre-season, they had only been training for a few days, but we knew their strengths. They play with intensity and energy, and they have a solid game plan even when they are in possession. We knew it'd be tough, especially given the week we'd had, playing three matches in a short period of time. Como come at you aggressively, play player-to-player, and they always try to build when they win the ball back. I have to congratulate them for the game they played.
"As for us, a little more time to prepare would have given us more peace of mind, try a few more things out and give the girls the time they need to settle in. But the schedule is what it is, and we've embraced it as an opportunity.
"The girls have been working on our style of play, while also competing, from day one. We played seven friendlies, and I always saw their desire to win and understanding of what it means to represent Juventus in every one of those games. This run has also allowed us to look at the whole squad, everybody got playing time and they all proved they were up to the task. Even today, some players who had played a little less got minutes, and they performed well without the team's level dropping."
"I'm happy to have scored, but mostly because this was an important win for us. It's a new experience for me, so it's natural that I still need some time to adapt a little, but I feel good in this group, and I hope we can continue like this."

New Delhi: India's team management and selectors are working on backups for the middle order ahead of the ODI World Cup next year. TOI has learnt that Tilak Varma's name has come up as a potential backup option for Shreyas Iyer in the top six of the batting lineup.
Tilak, being a left-handed batter, is seen as someone who can break the monotony of right-handers in the batting lineup. Tilak has been asked to work on his bowling since it is believed that his off-breaks have a lot of potential. The team management, in fact, has flagged the dearth of bowling options in the top order, citing it as a reason for extra pressure on the lower order and the bowlers.
The planning for the ODI World Cup will only begin in earnest when India reach New Zealand in October, since most of the first-choice players will not be available for the ODI series against West Indies at home from September 27. A full-strength T20 team is also scheduled to travel to ****** an for the Asian Games at the same time.
"Head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Shubman Gill feel there isn't any backup ready for the middle order. With Hardik Pandya and Nitish ****** ar Reddy being ****** e to injuries, they want someone in the top order who can at least chip in with four overs in an ODI," a BCCI source said.
Over the last year, the team management has been compelled to play either Washington Sundar or Axar Patel at No. 5 or No. 6 to balance the playing XI. In the last series in England, Ishan Kishan was sent in ahead of vice-captain Iyer.
"The team has to be prepared for conditions in South Africa in the World Cup. Iyer got injured in Australia and his game against pace and bounce is untested of late. The team already has two ageing players in Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. They are having niggles as well. KL Rahul too will be over 35 by the time the World Cup comes around. Ravindra Jadeja isn't a certainty either. The fielding of the team has suffered due to fitness issues. The team management feels that they need younger backups ready," the source said.
The selectors, it is learnt, are not comfortable with playing batters out of position. Last year, Ruturaj Gaikwad was played at No. 4 and scored a hundred against South Africa in Raipur. But he has not been picked in the ODI team since.
"Gaikwad was picked as backup opener since Gill was injured. The team management feels Tilak could have been tried in that place. That's why they don't want to rush Devdutt Padikkal in the ODI setup because he found his calling in white-ball cricket while opening the batting," the source said.
The team for the West Indies series, however, will be an anomaly since Iyer, Tilak, Ishan and Axar will not be available. The selectors are more focused on picking another wicketkeeper for the series.
The selection committee is due to meet by September 3 to pick the team for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in Delhi from September 13.

Xabi Alonso looks for a third straight win for Chelsea in all competitions in his first home Premier League game in charge when Brighton visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Wesley Fofana's return from suspension and Moisés Caicedo's likely comeback against his former club give the head coach his strongest available XI of the season so far.
Moisés Caicedo is hopeful of returning after a training injury kept him out of Chelsea's first two matches, with the fixture giving the Ecuadorian the chance to face the club he came through before his move to Stamford Bridge.
Marco Palestra remains unavailable with a separate issue, and Jordan Henderson continues his recovery from a wrist injury sustained celebrating England's World Cup last-16 win over Mexico. There is no fresh concern over Levi Colwill or Geovany Quenda after both were rested for the Carabao Cup win over Luton.
Wesley Fofana returns from suspension and is available for Chelsea for the first time this season, strengthening Alonso's central defensive options. Enzo Fernández remains a peripheral figure amid continued Manchester City transfer speculation and may again be left out of the matchday squad. Robert Sánchez is expected to keep his place in goal despite his position coming under scrutiny after a shaky display at Fulham.

HP Inc. (NYSE:HPQ) delivered an unusual combination in its fiscal third quarter: Personal Systems revenue rose 18% year over year to $11.8 billion even though unit shipments fell 16%. The divergence drew scrutiny after the company reported record third-quarter revenue and raised its fiscal 2026 outlook.
Mechanically, the reported changes imply that Personal Systems revenue per unit increased about 40%. However, that is not a clean measure of like-for-like PC pricing. The segment includes services and other attached offerings, while the quarter's mix shifted toward commercial, premium, and AI-enabled machines. HP Inc. (NYSE:HPQ) did not disclose a precise bridge.
The mix shift has substance. AI PCs accounted for 46% of Personal Systems shipment mix, while HP Inc. (NYSE:HPQ) gained 2.6 percentage points of share sequentially in premium categories and 1.8 points sequentially in workstations. Commercial products, which generally carry higher configurations than consumer PCs, generated more than 70% of segment revenue. Revenue rose 22% in commercial Personal Systems and 10% in consumer Personal Systems.
The company is also selling more around the device. Management said peripherals, collaboration products and services such as its Workforce Experience Platform contributed one-third of Personal Systems gross profit. These offerings help explain why segment revenue can rise faster than hardware units without relying entirely on price increases.
Cash generation strengthened the bull case. HP Inc. (NYSE:HPQ) produced $1.7 billion of operating cash flow and $1.6 billion of company-defined free cash flow, after adjustments for lease-related investment and capital spending. The company raised its fiscal-year free-cash-flow outlook to $3.0 billion to $3.2 billion.

Are you tired of seeing a pair of 230-pound edge rushers? What about 275-pound defensive tackles? Apparently, Virginia Tech is too, as the Hokies are one of the heaviest teams in 2026.
Check out this chart.
Before you say being heavy is a bad thing, it depends on the type of heavy. New Virginia Tech head coach James Franklin brought Chuck Losey with him from Penn State to serve as the Hokies' new strength coach. Losey's official ****** le is the ****** istant Athletics Director for Athletic Performance – Football.
That's a fancy ****** le, but, officially, Losey is the head of Virginia Tech's strength and conditioning. Look at Penn State's recent history of putting players in the NFL. There were 260-pound players running the 40-yard dash in under 4.4 seconds.
Now, we aren't saying that Tech's offensive or defensive linemen will run the 40 in 4.4 seconds or less. They don't need to. But consider this: 30 players on Virginia Tech's 2026 roster weigh 300 pounds or more. There's nothing wrong with a 230-pound edge rusher coming off the bench on third down to rush the passer. But those players can't play on every down, or your run defense will suffer.

Canadian Personal and Business Banking delivered $948 million in net income, up 17% from a year ago, while net interest margin climbed to 304 basis points, up 3 basis points sequentially on higher loan and deposit margins. In the US segment, net income rose 23% to $320 million, helped by lower provisions for loan losses and a revenue increase, even as net interest margin slipped 14 basis points sequentially to 3.76%. CIBC's efficiency ratio tightened by 200 basis points from a year earlier, the 12th straight quarter the bank has generated positive operating leverage, a sign revenue is outrunning costs rather than expenses eating into the gains.
Wealth Management showed similar strength, with ******* ets under administration and ******* ets under management both up more than 20% year over year and credit fees rising 25% on strong corporate lending and financing activity. Investor's Edge, the bank's self-directed investing platform, posted 34% growth in new account openings, and the managed mass affluent client base grew 4%, supporting a 12% increase in money-in balances. CIBC also returned capital to shareholders through 7.5 million shares repurchased during the quarter, and CEO Harry Culham pointed to the newly launched CIBC AI 2.0 agentic workspace and the CIBC AdvisorAssist platform, which he said cuts advisers' administrative documentation time by up to 50%.
Not every line moved in CIBC's favor. The Common Equity Tier 1 ratio slipped 19 basis points sequentially to 13.4%, as organic capital generation was offset by share buybacks and a $269 million charge, $232 million after tax, related to CIBC's planned sale of its Caribbean banking unit, CIBC Caribbean Bank Limited. Provisions on impaired loans climbed $64 million sequentially to $612 million, which CIBC linked to a handful of one-off credit issues inside its Canadian Commercial Banking and Capital Markets books rather than any broader deterioration. Total deposits fell 1% year over year, and GIC balances dropped 10% as clients shifted funds into higher-margin managed mutual fund products.

It turns out that stubborn inflation and persistent geopolitical tensions create a difficult backdrop for crypto.
In Q2, total crypto market capitalization declined 11% and global spot crypto trading volumes fell 25% from the previous quarter. Also, Bitcoin price also declined by double digits during the quarter. This happened as US inflation readings stayed above the Fed's target rate of 2% and the Middle East conflict flared up, creating a difficult backdrop for crypto exchanges.
Despite the weak market conditions weighing on its Q2 results, Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN) continued to strengthen its competitive position.
Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN)'s revenue fell 19% YoY to $1.22 billion and missed Wall Street expectations as the company faced a softer crypto market. Transaction revenue fell 22% to $599.2 million.
Even so, the quarter highlighted several encouraging trends. Coinbase continued to expand its share of the crypto market, capturing more than 10% of global crypto trading volume for the first time. The company's market share has steadily increased from 5.6% in Q3 2025 to 8.4% in Q4 2025 and 9.1% in Q1 2026.

NexGen Energy Ltd. (NYSE:NXE) is making waves after CEO Leigh Curyer revealed active talks with mining giant BHP Group Limited (NYSE:BHP) on August 17 regarding a potential equity stake and financing for its flagship Rook I project in Saskatchewan. Having just broken ground on construction for what is slated to be one of the world's largest, lowest-cost uranium mines, NexGen is seeking to raise $1 billion in capital over the next nine months through prepayments, debt, or direct equity. The partnership discussion underscores growing institutional interest, but a side-by-side look at the financial health of both companies shows two fundamentally different investment propositions.
Photo from PBF Energy LinkedIn
NexGen Energy Ltd. (NYSE:NXE) represents a development-stage uranium exploration and development company with no commercial mining revenue. In Q2 2026, NexGen posted a net income of $74.55 million CAD (driven primarily by a non-cash mark-to-market gain of $96.47 million CAD on its convertible debentures), reversing a net loss of $86.69 million CAD in Q2 2025. The company maintains significant liquidity, holding $756.17 million CAD in cash alongside $214.08 million CAD in short-term investments as of June 30, 2026, for total cash and short-term investments of $970.25 million CAD. While its absence of operational revenues makes standard earnings metrics non-applicable, its **** et backing and project economics remain compelling.
In stark contrast, BHP Group Limited (NYSE:BHP) delivered a record operational year in FY2026, showcasing massive profitability across its global operations. BHP reported underlying EBITDA of $33 billion, up 27% year-over-year, achieving an overall margin of nearly 60%, driven by a record 70% margin in its copper business. Free cash flow surged 83% to $9.8 billion, allowing BHP to distribute a total annual dividend of $1.72 per share ($8.7 billion total) at a robust 66% payout ratio. BHP also slashed net debt to below $9 billion, more than $4 billion lower than the previous year, giving it huge financial flexibility to self-fund its $11 billion annual capex pipeline. Financially, BHP is far superior in stability, balance sheet strength, and immediate cash generation, whereas NexGen's value relies entirely on future execution.
NexGen Energy's bull case is centered on the successful construction of its Rook I project, which could give the company control over up to 20% of global primary uranium supply. Securing an equity partner such as BHP or obtaining utility prepayments could also help close its approximately $1 billion funding gap and significantly reduce project financing risk. However, the bear case is driven by the risks inherent in large-scale mining projects in remote northern regions, including unexpected capital cost overruns, construction delays, and regulatory hurdles. Additional equity raises could also dilute existing shareholders before the mine begins production.

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville said the Democratic Party faces an ideological "reckoning" in 2028 but rejected the idea that primary voters will choose a democratic socialist presidential nominee.
Speaking on "Saturday in America," Carville offered his prediction of how Democratic voters will approach the party's 2028 presidential primary.
"The reckoning will be in a nominating process for the nominee of the Democratic Party in 2028. This has to be taken to Democratic voters," Carville said while discussing recent victories by candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
James Carville Predicts 2028 Democratic Primary Will Test True Strength Of Party's Socialist Wing
As DSA-backed candidates have won races across the country, some centrist Democrats have raised concerns about the group's growing influence. Carville argued that Democratic voters won't nominate a DSA-aligned presidential candidate in 2028.

João Palhinha recently completed a transfer back home to Benfica, putting an end to his short and largely uneventful stint at Bayern Munich. Max Eberl did a kind of recap on Palhinha's experience with the German giants (via Sky Sports' Kerry Hau as captured by X account iMiaSanMia):
"João was very unlucky not to have joined the club a year before. There was another attempt in winter. Then the following summer, there were changes: I joined the club, there was a coaching change – we still signed this player [Palhinha], who had showed outstanding qualities in the Premier League. We signed Vinnie Kompany as new coach. Then the developments showed that maybe Palhinha's playing style does not perfectly fit into the development we were going through.
"João Palhinha is still a top player with a great character, who has clear strengths. But not the way that perfectly fits our midfield. Of course, when a player costs a lot of money and doesn't work out, people quickly talk about a flop – but there was a factual reason for that. Now we're just happy for all parties that we found a solution. He went back to his home country, we got a fee, with which we can balance the books a bit."
All the best to JP on his move back to Portugal and hopefully he can get his career back on track even if it's at the late stage.

BERLIN, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Finland's President Alexander Stubb said he did not believe Russia would risk an attack against a NATO country, telling Germany's Bild newspaper it would "make no sense" to test the resolve of the alliance.
Western officials have warned of a growing risk of Russian hybrid operations, including cyber attacks, against European countries potentially leading to a direct confrontation with the NATO alliance. German officials have said they ******* s Russia would be in a position to attack a NATO country by 2029.
"If anyone has a crystal ball like that – that's great. I simply see neither evidence nor facts to support it," he told Bild in an interview published on Saturday, adding he did not believe that Russia "would ever want to attack NATO, the world's most powerful military alliance."
Stubb, whose country joined NATO in 2023, abandoning its previous policy of neutrality following Russia's invasion of Ukraine a year earlier, said the alliance had to be prepared for any scenario but he did not believe Moscow was in a position to go to war with NATO.
He said NATO's strength in conventional weapons, missiles and nuclear weapons was too strong to attack, adding that he had intelligence information to back his ******* sment.

The Baltimore Ravens drafted LaJohntay Wester because they were fans of what he could do with the ball in his hands. A skilled returner and 2023 First-Team All-American, he landed on Eric DeCosta's radar, resulting in the former Colorado Buffaloes star's 2025 sixth-round selection.
He stacked 198 yards on 16 punt returns and another 246 on ten kick returns. It's now year two, and throughout training camp and the preseason, he has shown he may offer much more than just explosive special teams play. Head coach Jesse Minter recently went as far as to praise him publicly.
Three preseason games are in the rearview mirror. Every week brought another sign that Wester was climbing the organizational ladder. More opportunities followed. More praise arrived. More importantly, more production and trust were earned.
That trust was no longer subtle. Wester's stock is rising. He capped Baltimore's 41-3 preseason finale victory over the Washington Commanders with a touchdown reception, continuing a summer that has steadily strengthened his case for a meaningful role heading into the regular season.
Speaking with the media after Friday night's win, head coach Jesse Minter again tipped his cap to Wester, highlighting the progress Wester has made since arriving in Baltimore.

The Eagles completed their preseason with a 30-13 loss to the Bengals, giving several roster hopefuls one final opportunity to influence Philadelphia's decisions.
Here is the stock report from the finale.
Steele continued making his case for a role as Philadelphia's fullback and reserve running back. He caught eight passes for 52 yards and a touchdown while rushing eight times for 24 yards. His ability to contribute without requiring a traditional rushing workload strengthens his value.
Dalton steadied the offense after Tanner McKee struggled. The veteran completed 12 of 19 attempts for 104 yards and directed Philadelphia's only touchdown drive. He saved his strongest stretch for his final preseason appearance.
Elliott made both field-goal attempts, including a 56-yarder. He accounted for seven of Philadelphia's 13 points and provided one of the few dependable performances of the night.

Real Madrid has already finalized its squad list for tomorrow's match against Málaga CF at the Bernabéu. Los Blancos will be looking to claim three more points in front of their fans in a key league fixture to keep pace at the top of the table.
For this match, coach José Mourinho has decided not to make any changes from the previous outing. The Portuguese manager is backing the same core group that featured in the last matchday against Real Sociedad.
In goal, Thibaut Courtois leads the list of goalkeepers, alongside Andriy Lunin and the young Javi Navarro, perhaps the only switch in the squad. In defense, there is once again a strong list of defenders, featuring names such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konaté, Antonio Rüdiger and Marc Cucurella.
Meanwhile, midfield will retain its usual blend of strength and creativity with players of the caliber of Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Bernardo Silva. They are joined by Arda Güler, Cestero and Alexis Ciria, offering further options to Madrid's setup.
In attack, firepower is guaranteed with the presence of Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé leading the line. The attacking call-up is completed by Brahim Díaz, C. Espí and Yan Diomande, all ready to provide energy from the bench.

Nottingham Forest have launched an ambitious bid to sign Everton's teenage midfielder Harrison Armstrong.
Forest are keen to strengthen before the end of the transfer window and, as reported by The Athletic, are preparing to offer £40m plus a potential sell-on clause to clinch a deal for Armstrong.
It would be a major surprise should Everton sanction a deal, but there is hope at Forest that they can pull off the move to prise away the elegant England under-19 star, who is regarded as having a big future ahead of him.
Armstrong, 19, has made 23 appearances for Everton and started in their 2-0 Premier League win against Crystal Palace last week.
As yet, there are no indications as to whether Everton will agree to sell.

Week 18 memories can haunt you, and while Tyler Loop did not cost the Baltimore Ravens a game Friday night, his temperament will be something to monitor. Baltimore defeated the Washington Commanders by 38 points, and every one of his attempts came with the result already headed in one dominant direction. Still, that does not mean the Ravens should dismiss what happened.
Loop made field goals from 51 and 24 yards but missed from 58 and 51 during Baltimore's 41-3 victory. He converted all five extra points, finished the game 2-for-4 on field goals, and ended the preseason 5-for-8.
Baltimore should bring in competition, just to test the rookie and keep him on his toes.
We're not talking about replacing Loop, just taking his temperature. His successful 51-yard attempt demonstrated the necessary leg strength, and a 58-yard miss should not automatically count as a crisis. He also responded to his first-half miss by responding from that exact spot on the later 51-yard miss during halftime.
Loop converted 62.5% of his preseason field goals, and his team, which is expected to contend for a Super Bowl, routinely produces close games in the AFC North.

The Baltimore Ravens did not receive simple answers in their preseason finale. They received evidence that several of their most difficult roster decisions are difficult for good reasons. Baltimore rested 33 players and defeated the Washington Commanders 41-3, allowing the coaching staff to devote nearly every meaningful snap to players competing for jobs. Joe ******* nano, Adam Randall, LaJohntay Wester and several young defenders used the opportunity to strengthen their positions.
Here is what the finale revealed about Baltimore's primary roster races.
Fagnano completed 19 of 27 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown, finishing the preseason 56-of-75 for 509 yards, three scores and one interception.
Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley are secure. The decision is whether Baltimore values another position more than the protection of a developmental quarterback who may not clear waivers. ******* nano has made the practice squad route increasingly risky.
Randall produced 70 yards from scrimmage, rushing five times for 25 yards and catching three passes for 45. Ali had 46 yards from scrimmage and continued to show value as a receiver and special teams contributor.

Tempus AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:TEM) rallied following a melanoma breakthrough reported by Moderna and Merck. The companies said their Phase 3 INTerpath-001 trial met its recurrence-free survival endpoint for the personalized cancer therapy intismeran autogene, also known as V940, combined with Keytruda. Detailed trial data remain pending. The read-through came from Personalis, which has supported the V940 clinical-development program since its inception. Tempus agreed in July to a pending acquisition of Personalis at a $1.5 billion enterprise value, net of Tempus's existing stake. The question for Tempus AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:TEM) is whether the result validates the acquisition or merely confirms that one Personalis platform is strategically relevant to personalized cancer therapy.
Personalis uses ImmunoID NeXT to sequence tumor information for personalized vaccine development. That technology is distinct from NeXT Personal, the company's tumor-informed molecular residual disease test and the central strategic target of the acquisition. For Tempus AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:TEM), the clinical result validates Personalis's sequencing capabilities without establishing the economics of either product.
Tempus AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:TEM) is acquiring a company that has supported the V940 program from its beginning. A successful Phase 3 endpoint could strengthen Personalis's credibility with biopharma customers and create additional sequencing opportunities as drugmakers pursue individualized therapies across more tumor types.
The acquisition also reaches beyond vaccine sequencing. Tempus AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:TEM) has commercialized NeXT Personal since 2023. The MRD test searches for small traces of circulating tumor DNA after treatment, helping clinicians monitor response and identify possible recurrence before it becomes visible through conventional imaging.
Tempus AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:TEM) reported 9,000 total MRD tests in the second quarter, up from 6,500 sequentially. Personalis generated finalized quarterly revenue of $22.357 million and delivered 10,384 clinical tests, with volume rising 33% sequentially. NeXT Personal also has Medicare coverage in three indications, giving the pending transaction a commercial foundation independent of V940.

Circle Internet Group (NYSE:CRCL) share price surged amid a broad cryptocurrency rally following a White House meeting with industry executives, with lower Treasury yields and expanded government bond buybacks also supporting risk ***** ets. President Donald Trump urged Congress to pass a "fair version" of the CLARITY Act.
The meeting strengthened the policy narrative without changing Circle's immediate economics. Circle Internet Group (NYSE:CRCL) ended the second quarter with $73.3 billion of USDC in circulation, up 19% year over year. Reserve income still represented $668 million of its $701 million in total revenue and reserve income.
The central question is whether clearer rules can expand USDC adoption quickly enough to reduce Circle's dependence on short-term interest rates.
USDC activity continues to expand faster than Circle Internet Group (NYSE:CRCL)'s reported revenue. Onchain transaction volume increased 151% to $14.8 trillion during the second quarter, while average USDC circulation grew 25% to a record $76.5 billion.
The CLARITY Act would complement the GENIUS Act, the federal payment-stablecoin framework enacted in 2025, by addressing broader digital-asset market structure and SEC/CFTC jurisdiction. For Circle Internet Group (NYSE:CRCL), more predictable rules could make banks, payment companies and ***** et managers more comfortable building products around USDC.

The FDA approved Pasatru, whose generic name is garetosmab, of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGN) for adults with fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva. FOP is an ultra-rare genetic disorder in which bone forms inside muscles, tendons, and ligaments, progressively restricting movement. In a 56-week Phase 3 trial involving 63 adults, the approved 3-milligram-per-kilogram dose reduced the number of new abnormal bone lesions by 94% compared with placebo. The decision completed an unusual clinical recovery. Regeneron paused an earlier study in 2020 after five patients died during its open-label portion, when all participants were receiving active treatment. The published ****** ysis later considered a relationship to treatment unlikely, although causality could not be ruled out. For Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGN), Pasatru is a regulatory and scientific victory whose earnings potential is constrained by an exceptionally small market.
The company's existing scale makes that limitation difficult to ignore. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGN) generated second-quarter revenue of $4.29 billion, up 17%, while company-defined non-GAAP diluted EPS reached $14.29. Global Dupixent sales, recorded by partner Sanofi, increased 38% to approximately $6 billion, and U.S. Eylea HD sales rose 52% to $596 million. Against those franchises, even a successful Pasatru launch would have limited influence on consolidated results.
The approval demonstrates that Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGN) can recover a program after a major clinical setback. Following the 2020 dosing pause, the company worked with regulators to design a late-stage study that produced a statistically significant reduction in new bone lesions. Pasatru also validates research into Activin A, which activates the mutant ACVR1/ALK2 receptor and triggers abnormal bone formation in FOP.
That platform value may matter more than initial sales. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGN) plans to begin a pediatric trial later in 2026, which could eventually expand the eligible population. The regulatory recovery may also strengthen confidence in the company's ability to advance other rare-disease programs from internally discovered biology.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGN) is entering an exceptionally small pharmaceutical market. Published prevalence estimates generally range from approximately one case per one million to one per two million people. Only approximately 800 to 900 known or confirmed cases have been identified globally, although additional patients may remain undiagnosed. Pasatru is currently approved only for adults, further narrowing its immediate market.

Management attributed a June same-store sales decline of 7% to an 'extraordinary stretch' of at-home sports viewership, specifically the World Cup and NBA Finals, which disrupted typical weekend bowling patterns.
The company reported a 3.5-point improvement in same-store sales comps over the prior year, driven by strength in retail bowling, shoe revenue, and a significant 8% growth in food sales.
California remains the weakest market, comping at minus 4% compared to plus 1% for the rest of the company, prompting a leadership overhaul and a restructuring of the state's corporate sales organization.
Strategic integration of five directly managed water parks increased operational complexity but delivered double-digit per capita spending growth through disciplined revenue management.

InterCure Ltd. (NASDAQ:INCR) finalized a NIS 230 million, or approximately $77 million, settlement with Israeli authorities covering indirect damages from the October 7, 2023 attacks and subsequent war. The more relevant figure for investors is approximately $43 million.
The $77 million represents aggregate compensation rather than a new cash payment. InterCure Ltd. (NASDAQ:INCR) previously received NIS 101 million, or approximately $34 million, in advances related to the claim. Subtracting those advances from the settlement produces NIS 129 million, or approximately $43 million, of implied remaining gross compensation.
InterCure Ltd. (NASDAQ:INCR) did not disclose when that balance would be paid or what the net cash receipt would be after any applicable adjustments. The calculation therefore measures the implied gross amount remaining under the settlement, not immediate liquidity.
The amount is nevertheless material compared with the company's financial position. InterCure Ltd. (NASDAQ:INCR) reported NIS 49 million in cash on hand as of December 31, 2025, including restricted cash. The implied NIS 129 million balance is approximately 2.6 times that historical figure. InterCure Ltd. (NASDAQ:INCR) also generated NIS 17 million in operating cash flow during 2025, although it recorded a NIS 37 million net loss.
The settlement gives InterCure Ltd. (NASDAQ:INCR) a defined compensation amount after nearly three years of uncertainty. The company intends to use its strengthened financial position to accelerate rehabilitation of Canndoc's Nir Oz cultivation and production facility, which was severely damaged during the October 2023 attacks.

Pioneer lost a lot to graduation from last year's team that played in the Class 1A state championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium, but one of their best players in the trenches has returned for his senior year.
Mikaden Tolosa shined in the season opener at Lewis Cass, helping the Panthers win in their fourth straight Clash of Cass County with a 20-15 comeback victory.
Tolosa, a 5-foot-8, 206-pound senior, brings a unique skillset to the football field for the Panthers with his combination of size, strength, athleticism and tenacity.
"We lost a lot of two-way players last year and he's one of those veterans guys that's been a staple of our O-line and D-line the last couple years, an all-state player we're expecting big things from him this year," Pioneer coach Adam Berry said. "He really showed what he could do this past Friday night. He was our defensive player of the game. He had that huge sack to essentially seal the game and just coming from that backside making plays. And not only defensively, but just being that staple on the offensive line and just having that grit."
Tolosa was credited with 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and a 15-yard sack in the win over Cass.
