Jennifer Lawrence has addressed her comments about Kourtney Kardashian. The actress previously called Kourtney "more annoying than ever" during a Vanity Fair lie detector test. Kourtney later shared details about Lawrence's apology on the Season 8 premiere of The Kardashians.
During the Vanity Fair segment, Lawrence discussed her favorite Kardashian sisters. She picked Khloé Kardashian before criticizing Kourtney for announcing personal lifestyle choices. "She drives me nuts," Lawrence said, adding that Kourtney should "just shh!"
Kourtney addressed the comments while talking to her friend Simon Huck on the reality series. She explained that the remarks affected her more because she was having a "really sensitive week." She said, "I felt like our show was airing and everybody was ganging up on me." However, when Kourtney later watched the full clip, she admitted, "Oh, it's not that bad actually."
Lawrence addressed the situation privately rather than continuing the exchange publicly. She reached out through Kim to get Kourtney's email and sent her a message explaining how she felt about the Kardashian family. Kourtney said the actress wrote, "I just feel like I'm one of your sisters."
She appreciated the gesture, but did not reply as she had only seen the message late the previous night. While discussing it with Huck, Kourtney said, "She asked Kim for my email, and then she sent me that email, which is so nice." However, Kardashian joked about sending Lawrence a fun response, "Do I say something funny?"

WASHINGTON — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers appears to be breaking with President Donald Trump on another key issue less than a month before Election Day.
"Drinking a Labatt and watching the Red Wings, man, it just doesn't get any more Michigan than that," Rogers said in a new ad released Oct. 7. "Here in Michigan, we know that Canada is not our enemy. We need to end this tariff war now."
The statement marks the second time in recent weeks that Rogers spoke out — without criticizing Trump by name — against one of the president's unpopular initiatives. This time, Rogers is calling for an end to Trump's widespread trade war against Canada, America's second-biggest trading partner, while drinking a Canadian beer that's banned from import under the president's latest trade restrictions.
The Republican Senate nominee also split with Trump on the Iran war in late September, saying it "needs to end and end quickly."
Rogers' public shift on tariffs comes amid mounting opposition in Michigan to Trump's tariffs and GOP concerns that voters will reject their candidates up and down the ballot for failing to address cost-of-living concerns. Election Day is Nov. 3, though more than 200,000 Michiganians have already cast absentee ballots.

Chet Hanks confronted Eric André on the floor of ComplexCon, approaching the comedian in person more than three years after they publicly argued over his appearance on The Eric André Show.
Footage published by TMZ shows Hanks approaching André from behind and placing a hand on his shoulder. André initially turns toward him and extends a hand before the conversation grows tense.
"What are you talking about?" André asks during the exchange. Security steps between the men, and André eventually walks away with the group around him while Hanks remains with the people filming.
Hanks posted the video on Instagram on Oct. 5th, following the convention's Oct. 3rd and 4th run at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Hanks wrote that André initially had "NO MEMORY WHATSOEVER" of criticizing him in the media after their television taping. He also mocked the comedian for attending the event with what Hanks described as four security guards.

Melyssa Ford spoke out in defense of Jasmine Guy after the actress was ridiculed for her looks amid the release of Netflix's A Different World.
In a video posted to her Instagram on Tuesday (Sept. 22), Ford called out "internet gangsters" for criticizing Guy, 64. "You internet gangsters get on my f**kingnerves," the Hot & Bothered host began, calling Guy "the latest woman to be picked apart for her age."
"Women cannot win for losing," Ford said. "If a woman gets work done, she lacks self-love, she's insecure, she's chasing youth. If she doesn't, she's letting herself go or she's praised for being 'brave' for letting her face do what faces do. 'Brave' for aging."
Ford called "aging naturally" a "privilege," while the alternative is "death." "If you wanna die and live a good-looking corpse, that's on you. But most of us wanna live long, healthy, robust lives and that means getting older. No one calls a f**kingman 'brave' for going gray."

Robert De Niro is ramping up his criticism of the Trump administration in the final weeks before the 2026 midterm elections.
The 83-year-old Oscar winner did not pull his punches while speaking at Indivisible's Hands Off Our Vote event in New York City on Sunday, Oct. 4. He called out "weak and spineless" Republicans in Congress who "won't protect our rights" as voters, accused President Donald Trump of trying to "our votes away" amid record-low approval ratings and encouraged voters to "take back the House, take back the Senate, take back the power, take back our country."
"The Trump administration knows that their policies are not only crazy and cruel, they're increasingly unpopular. They can see it. They're not stupid. Well, OK, they are very f---ing stupid," De Niro said from the podium. "They're stupider than I ever thought, but they recognize what they're doing is turning away people. They can't get support from the voters. So what do they do? They try to take our votes away. Are you kidding me?"
He added, "And when that coward, that f---ing piece of s---, Donald Trump, tries to take our voice and power away, what do we tell him? Keep your f---ing hands off our vote!"
In response to De Niro's remarks, the White House reissued a statement previously provided to USA TODAY criticizing the actor.

Sophie Rain retaliates against comedian Pete Davidson for criticizing influencers earning $40 million a year for "doing nothing," saying she is the one behind the number.
Rain, who reportedly made more than $43 million in her first year on the subscription platform by posting bikini and lingerie content, responded to Davidson's comment in a 75-second video.
"Telling you guys some facts about myself since Pete Davidson said, 'Who the f*** are you?'" Rain said in the video. "My name is Sophie Rain, and yes, I am the girl who made $40 million in a year for doing nothing."
The social media influencer and TikToker introduced herself, noting that most of her income doesn't come from this source.
"Although I am a social media influencer and a TikToker, my main source of income comes from being a b*p," she said. "You haven't seen my content. Well, you're in for a treat."

The mother of the woman killed by Christa Pike said she was left without justice after Tennessee's failed attempt to carry out the execution, criticizing the state's handling of a procedure that left the death row prisoner hospitalized in critical condition.
"I didn't get justice for my daughter," May Martinez, whose daughter Colleen Slemmer was killed in 1995, told the ******* ociated Press on Thursday.
Martinez traveled to Nashville to witness the execution Wednesday. Instead, she watched as officials administered two doses of the state's execution drug pentobarbital without killing Pike.
"I watched the whole thing. She was awake," she said. "She was moving her head, moving her feet. She was trying to sit up. Didn't work the first time they gave her a shot. It didn't work the second time, so she's in the hospital and alive."
The inmate is receiving life-saving medical care, according to her legal team, who have asked Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee to commute her sentence.

On Thursday, Oct. 1, Lady Gaga issued an apology to influencer Golloria after the creator criticized the singer's brand Haus Labs for its new bronzer's lack of shade diversity
"I don't know what or who you guys switched up in that lab, but switch it back," the influencer said in her video from May
In her statement, Gaga admitted the brand made "the wrong decision" and said that the product would "launch soon" with a wider shade range
Lady Gaga is apologizing to influencer Golloria four months after she called out the singer's brand Haus Labs for its new bronzer.
In May, Golloria made a video criticizing the upcoming product Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil, which was initially planed to launch with six shades. The influencer was disappointed upon swatching the three darkest shades on her face, explaining that she generally likes Haus Labs' complexion products. "I don't know what or who you guys switched up in that lab, but switch it back. Thank you," she said.

Lady Gaga released a statement through her Haus Labs makeup brand, apologizing to beauty influencer Golloria.
Golloria previously made a video calling out one of the line's new products for a non-inclusive shade range, though Haus Labs asked her to remove it as the product was under an embargo.
"I truly apologize to Golloria," Gaga said in the statement, with the brand adding that it paused the launch and added five more inclusive shades following Golloria's "powerful voice."
Lady Gaga has apologized to social media star Golloria following a clash the pop icon's beauty brand Haus Labs had with the beauty influencer over a new product.
Golloria — a longtime supporter of Haus Labs for its typically inclusive shade range suitable for a variety of skin tones — previously shared a video criticizing the brand's upcoming Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil product for launching with only six shades. The influencer later said that Haus Labs reached out and asked for the post to be removed, which Gaga's statement confirmed — "on the technicality that she was under embargo," as the product hadn't yet hit stores.

Former special counsel Jack Smith fielded insults from Republicans and questions about his prosecutorial decisions as he sat before lawmakers on the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.
Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has been a leading voice in scrutinizing Smith’s twin probes into President Trump, obtaining and releasing reams of documents about the investigations while criticizing his decision to subpoena some lawmakers’ call logs.
Smith defended his work, saying Trump faced criminal charges related to the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case and the case tied to the president’s role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol as a result of his own illegal conduct. He added that he would have brought charges against any president who committed such crimes.
Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), meanwhile, accused the GOP of “gaslighting” the American public about how damaging the Jan. 6 attack was to democracy.
But Smith largely served as a punching bag for the committee’s Republicans.

WASHINGTON, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Democrats are seeking to reclaim Congress, but lingering divisions from a bruising run-up to the November election threaten to imperil the party's attempt to claw back power from President Donald Trump's Republicans.
With control of both chambers at stake, Democrats have sought to move past the bad blood of the primaries, but in several competitive states, influential party figures have withheld endorsements or so far declined to campaign with nominees for the November 3 US midterm elections.
In Maine, the governor has yet to endorse the Democratic US Senate candidate. In Texas, a congresswoman has declined to campaign alongside the state representative who defeated her in the Democratic Senate primary. In Michigan, establishment centrists are steering clear of the party's progressive Senate pick. In New York, victorious democratic socialists are criticizing congressional Democrats for joining Republicans in condemning socialism. In Florida, the party has yet to rally behind its Senate nominee.
"Whether you are a progressive or an establishment Democrat or a conservative Democrat, we all have a vested interest in getting every single person over the finish line in November," said US Representative Summer Lee, a progressive Pennsylvania Democrat up for reelection.

On September 9, 2026, Reuters reported that U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy sent a letter to Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) CEO Jim Farley criticizing the automaker's business relationships with Chinese battery maker CATL and Chinese automakers Geely and BYD as raising "profound concern."
It specifically flagged Ford's licensed CATL battery technology at its Marshall, Michigan plant, its joint venture with Geely in Spain, and its decision not to move Lincoln Nautilus production out of China until 2030. Ford responded that Duffy's letter was "a wrongheaded attempt to capture headlines," noting that it owns the Marshall plant, controls its operations, and employs the workforce there, unlike companies that simply import Chinese-made batteries.
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) can argue that its CATL partnership still solidifies U.S. battery manufacturing rather than becoming more dependent on Chinese imports. Ford owns and operates its Marshall, Michigan battery plant. It allows the company to manufacture batteries domestically while licensing CATL technology. That structure could help Ford expand its U.S. EV production capacity and reduce the need to import finished Chinese battery packs.
Ford's improving financial performance gives the firm more flexibility to manage the political pressure. The automaker raised its full-year adjusted EBIT guidance to $10 billion-$11 billion after second-quarter results exceeded expectations, with record Bronco sales and a stronger product mix supporting the improvement. Stronger operating earnings could give Ford more resources to adjust its battery strategy if policymakers impose more restrictions on Chinese technology.
The company's existing U.S. manufacturing footprint could become a competitive advantage if Washington tightens restrictions on Chinese automotive technology. Ford has already invested in domestic battery production instead of relying entirely on imported battery packs. Model e losses have narrowed for three consecutive quarters. If policymakers force automakers to cut Chinese supply-chain reliance, Ford can use its existing U.S. factories to adapt faster than rivals that depend heavily on Chinese parts.

Sydney Sweeney's latest ad campaign has landed very differently with some of the women who have spent their lives competing in sports.
Four-time Olympic gold medalist Ariarne ***** mus is among a growing group of athletes criticizing Sweeney's new "Just Sports" campaign for Novig, a sports prediction market. The campaign shows Sweeney nude or minimally dressed while footballs, basketballs, hockey equipment and other sports gear strategically cover her body.
Athletes including former UCLA gymnast Gracie Kramer, Olympic swimmer Lani Pallister, British sprinter Amy Hunt and water polo Olympian Tilly Kearns have responded by putting competition, training and athletic achievement back at the center of their own posts.
Sweeney is more closely tied to the campaign than a typical celebrity spokesperson. Novig announced that she joined the company as a strategic partner and equity holder, while Sweeney said she had participated in the creative process from the beginning.
The four-time Olympic champion, who retired from competitive swimming in 2025, wrote on Instagram that she had believed this kind of marketing belonged in the past.

Atlético Tucumán head coach Julio César Falcioni made harsh accusations against the refereeing after the defeat to River Plate. The experienced manager expressed his outrage over decisions he believes harmed the Tucumán side.
"If Atlético is a problem, they should let us know," Falcioni fired back to the media. The coach claimed there was a foul on Canelo that should have led to a red card for a River player, openly criticizing the lack of judgment from both the main referee and the officials in the VAR booth.
With his trademark blunt tone, the coach ended his remarks without holding back: "It surprises me that some things are judged one way and others differently. Looks like River's band is working again. I can tell right away when I'm getting screwed."

Recently, The Matrix creator Lilly Wachowski spoke with Variety about her new studio, and during the interview, she criticized J.K. Rowling over the new HBO Harry Potter series.
Wachowski said, "She is funding trans genocide. J.K. Rowling funds trans genocide, full stop. So, if you support "Harry Potter," you're supporting trans genocide."
"The money that goes into you enjoying these products, a portion of that money goes to J.K. Rowling and that money goes into her funding anti-trans legislation all over the world." She added
During the interview, Lily Wachowski did not hold back while criticizing J.K. Rowling. Before calling her fans part of a bigger problem, the Cloud Atlas star also called the British author a ***** and compared her to Elon Musk, though not in a positive way.

Kylie Brewer created a TikTok video in which she claims people mocked Charlie Kirk because he meant nothing to them.
The video is ***** led "No one respected Charlie Kirk. That's why he's a meme." In it, she questions Charlie Kirk's legacy.

Brewer is criticizing Charlie Kirk's views on civil rights and gun possession.
"He wanted to go back to a time in society when different groups of people did not have rights. He said himself that it's, quote, worth a few gun deaths every year so that people have the right to bear arms," Brewer explained.

Donning a keffiyeh in front of an 80,000-strong audience, the rapper shouted "Free Palestine" and addressed Gaza and the occupied West Bank, saying that they are not being forgotten.
"Every human being walking on this earth deserves exactly the same freedom," he added, as reported by Variety.
The rapper then performed his protest song "Hind's Hall," which featured flashes of Gaza on the stadium screens. Macklemore referenced Hind Rajab, a young Palestinian girl killed in Gaza, named after student demonstrators at Columbia University who renamed a campus building in her honor. The rapper then addressed Jewish concertgoers, saying that criticizing Israel and condemning their actions as genocide is not a condemnation of Jewish people and that his message is a message of peace and dignity for everyone.
American pop diva, whose legal name is Alecia Beth Moore Hart, posted a video with the message "Awful" to her Instagram Story, claiming that Jewish fans who came to see Sheeran's performance are exposed to propaganda against Israel. According to Pink, Macklemore's speech and video presentation amount to a false accusation of genocide, and people who came to the concert are entitled to "apologies and refunds."

Pink faced backlash after reposting a statement from an advocacy group calling for an apology from Macklemore for advocating for Palestinians during his opening act for Ed Sheeran in New Jersey.
Pink reposted the message from the group StopAntisemitism on her Instagram stories. The message started with the word "Awful," suggesting that Jewish fans had purchased their tickets to see Sheeran but instead experienced what it referred to as anti-Israel propaganda. According to the group, the Seattle rapper had accused Israel of falsely committing a genocide, and concertgoers were owed an apology and a refund. Pink did not comment and has not yet given a reason for posting the message.
Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, performed for Ed Sheeran in MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sept. 4 and Sept. 5 as part of his Loop Tour. Dressed in a keffiyeh, the rapper told the crowd of more than 80,000 people that he wanted to stand in the stadium and say, "Free Palestine." He mentioned that he hoped people in Gaza and the occupied West Bank knew they had not been forgotten and that every human being deserved freedom.
Macklemore then sang "Hind's Hall," a protest song he released in 2024, as images of Gaza played on the stadium screens. Moreover, the rapper spoke directly to the Jewish audience, saying that criticizing Israel was not criticizing them.
His performance led the Israeli American Council to file a petition asking Sheeran and his management to remove the rapper from other tour dates. The petition referred to his show as a concert and not a rally for activists and politics. It also claimed that Macklemore used his global platform to promote a one-sided political agenda. The petition asked whether the speech and visuals were approved before the event.

Michael Reschke believes Max Eberl's decision to publicly make João Palhinha, Bryan Zaragoza and Sacha Boey available for transfer did not hurt Bayern Munich's chances of getting a good deal for the three players.
Eberl was remarkably open about the trio throughout the summer, making it clear that Bayern Munich no longer planned with them and that the club was willing to let them leave.
Reschke, however, does not believe that public approach necessarily reduced their market value.
"Well, they certainly didn't become more expensive as a result. However, I ******* ume that these statements by Max were coordinated internally," Reschke told Abendzeitung.
There is an important distinction in that ******* sment. Eberl was not publicly criticizing the players or suggesting that Bayern Munich desperately needed to get rid of them. Instead, he was communicating the club's sporting plans and making it clear that there were opportunities for interested teams.

George Clooney is not holding back when it comes to his feelings about President Donald Trump.
Clooney, 65, was on hand at the Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy, on Wednesday, September 2, to accept the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Award on the festival's opening day, when he was asked about the current state of affairs back in the United States.
The Oscar winner, who famously lives abroad with his wife, Amal, and their 9-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, admitted he's "ashamed" of the Trump-led U.S. government.
"I do believe… we're at a moment in time that's unfortunate. I think that's an understatement," Clooney, who is no stranger to criticizing 80-year-old Trump, said, per Vanity Fair. "There's a great word, a kakistocracy, which is a country run by the least qualified people. I think maybe we have a kakistocracy right now, but we'll get through it."
With the midterm elections just around the corner in November, the Good Night, and Good Luck star said he's hoping for a "check and balance" in the government, and a return to "normalcy" by the next presidential election in 2028.

George Clooney is defending Mark Ruffalo's right to "speak freely," including his recent criticisms of Oracle and Paramount.
Ruffalo was previously accused by Paramount of "antisemitism" for calling out the leaders of the two companies.
Clooney is the latest actor to speak up for Ruffalo, on the heels of 170 Jewish artists signing an open letter in his defense.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — The list of football coaches publicly criticizing the possibility of former pros being allowed to return to play in college this season was joined Tuesday by Clemson's Dabo Swinney, who called it a "joke" as his team prepares to play the team at the center of the controversy.
"I just think it's embarrassing where we're at in college football — and we've been there for a while, so," Swinney said ahead of Clemson's season opener at No. 11 LSU on Saturday night.
Former Cleveland Browns tight end Dae'Quan Wright began practicing this week at LSU under first-year head coach Lane Kiffin, although the former Ole Miss player is not expected to play this week due to the NCAA's acclimatization protocol.
Whether Wright or other players who spent part of this offseason with NFL clubs — a list that also includes defensive lineman Zxavian Harris and defensive back Blake Cotton —- will ever play for LSU or anyone else remains undecided. All Power Four conferences, along with three of the Group of Six conferences, have barred pro players from returning to college football. That stance has resulted in court challenges.
Kiffin, who left Ole Miss for LSU this offseason, has been criticized for the school's decision to actively recruit former NFL players. He defended the decision Monday by saying his decisions are made in "the best interest of the players that sit in this team room and not for my reputation."

Kenneth Lonergan has taken a firm stand for Mark Ruffalo amid antisemitism accusations tied to his Israel-Gaza remarks. The Oscar-winning filmmaker and longtime friend of Ruffalo addressed the allegations in a letter to The Hollywood Reporter. He called the antisemitism accusation against Ruffalo "overtly preposterous" and said it was being used to silence his criticism of Israel.
Ruffalo's latest controversy followed his criticism of Oracle founder Larry Ellison and the company's reported ties to Israeli military technology. He also faced backlash from Paramount Skydance after criticizing the proposed Warner Bros. Discovery merger. The company accused him of using antisemitic tropes, but Ruffalo denied it and said he was criticizing political and corporate actions.
Lonergan's relationship with Ruffalo dates back to You Can Count on Me, his 2000 directorial debut starring Laura Linney and Ruffalo. The film was widely praised and marked the beginning of their friendship, which has continued for decades.
Their long friendship led Lonergan to publicly defend the actor. In his letter, he referred to Ruffalo as his "dear friend for thirty years." Lonergan called the antisemitism accusation "a cynical and disgusting lie" and questioned the motives behind it. He wants the Simon Wiesenthal Center to review its response and clarify where it detects any antisemitism.
Lonergan said that attacking Ruffalo personally helps critics avoid addressing his actual arguments. He also acknowledged that he "disagrees profoundly with many of his positions on the Middle East, Israel, Gaza, and Iran's constellation of fanatical Islamic fundamentalist proxies." However, Lonergan said people can disagree with Ruffalo's views without labeling his criticism of Israel as antisemitic.

Megyn Kelly is criticizing Kim Kardashian and Kanye West over the increasingly public career of their 13-year-old daughter North West, arguing that the former couple is moving too quickly as North releases music, performs live and develops an image of her own.
Kelly addressed North during the August 25 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show with Dr. Drew Pinsky, focusing on her new Dazed cover, blue hair, piercings and recent music video. According to TMZ, Kelly accused Kardashian and West of "rushing" to turn their daughter into a star without adequately considering the potential downside of growing up in public.
North's music career has accelerated considerably in 2026. She released the six-track debut EP N0rth4evr in May, performed her first solo festival set in June and released a music video for "Aishite" in August. Her fall Dazed cover followed, accompanied by an interview about music, fashion and what she wants to do next.
Kelly's criticism arrives as North herself is insisting that starting young is her choice, while Kardashian has previously defended her daughter's self-expression and acknowledged making parenting decisions she later reconsidered.
Kelly compared North's life with that of her own son Thatcher, who is close to the same age, before questioning how quickly North has been moved into professional entertainment. "My son is riding his bike, playing tennis, and playing something called bucket golf with his buddies in the backyard," Kelly said in the show's coverage of the discussion.

After the first matchday of Serie A, the talking points we've seen are the usual ones: refereeing decisions, the transfer market still being open, the post-match reactions where some vent by criticizing and others take little digs as a strategy.
The routine we waited for all summer, however, mustn't put us on autopilot, because something different happened: young Italians actually played. It seems unbelievable, but it's true: Mattia Liberali, Simone Lontani, Alessandro Romano (Swiss with dual citizenship), Emanuele Lulli, Alphadjo Cisse and Alessio Cacciamani took the field.
Some did so as starters, others came off the bench: for not all of them was it their absolute Serie A debut, but the wider public really discovered them just a few days ago. The comparison with the other top European leagues is still a long way off (to put it kindly), but at least we're trying: "Better something than nothing," as Gianni Brera would have said.
After an excellent pre-season with Milan and Ruben Amorim's imprimatur in a press conference, Alphadjo Cisse (without the accent, as he himself wanted to point out) made his debut at San Siro and scored the first Serie A goal of his career. He handled the ball well in traffic, pressed constantly and, above all, scored at the decisive moment.
During the summer he trained on his own in Montesilvano (Abruzzo) to get back into shape after tearing his adductor tendon, an injury that had cut short an excellent season with Aquilani's Catanzaro. Throughout July, Sassuolo and Torino wanted him on loan, but Amorim chose to keep him and throw him in. He is already repaying that faith.

"Hacks" star Hannah Einbinder has come to the defense of Mark Ruffalo after Paramount accused him of invoking "antisemitic tropes" when criticizing the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger.
It all kicked off on Friday, when Ruffalo shared a clip on Instagram of Paramount board member Safra Catz outlining "really profoundly scary technologies" that Oracle — the tech giant co-founded by Larry Ellison, father of Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison, who is involved in the merger's financing — used to help the Israeli military after the Oct. 7 terror attack. Ruffalo likened Larry Ellison to a "classic oligarch" and warned of the consequences if Paramount and Warner Bros. are allowed to merge, alleging that the Ellisons "are crushing workers and consolidating the wealth of the world for their own power and concentrated dominance." Of Catz, he said: "Look how she revels in what we now have come to see as a genocide, which was built on an apartheid system of oppression powered by Oracle."

A US airman who was arrested twice, once on the steps of the US Capitol while calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump, was officially criminally charged Monday for his comments, according to a charging document his attorney shared with CNN.
Maj. Jason Watson faces the following charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, according to the document: three violations of Article 88 for alleged "contemptuous" remarks about Trump, five violations of Article 92 for allegedly disobeying orders and two violations of Article 133 for alleged conduct unbecoming an officer.
The rare Article 88 charges are connected to the Air Force officer's June interview with the Defenders of our Republic Substack newsletter, his July 1 protest in uniform at the US Capitol, and an August 17 CNN interview.
It can be considered a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice to participate in uniform in any overtly partisan activity, such as a political protest, or to use "contemptuous words" against the president and other high-ranking civilian officials. Many low-level offenses of these rules are resolved informally, but Watson's violations were unusually high-profile.
Watson was first arrested in July while protesting in uniform at the US Capitol, and he was then arrested again last week just days after criticizing Trump again during a CNN interview. One of his attorneys, Chris Mutimer, told CNN that his client was ordered to remain in "pre-trial confinement" — an action ******* ogous to a denial of bond in civilian court — pending legal action against him.
