Rosie O'Donnell shared her experience taking the weight-loss drug Mounjaro, including the side effects. The former talk show host said she has "never felt better." However, she revealed that she had lost 12 pounds without making any changes, leading her to worry that she might have cancer.
O'Donnell spoke about the details on the August 11 episode of the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast. The 64-year-old said, as quoted by Us Weekly, "Three years ago, the doctor told me … they said, 'You have diabetes, can you take a shot?' I said, 'I think so. I don't know. I've never done a shot. Is it insulin?' … They said, 'No, it's this new drug and it really helps with your blood sugar.'"
O'Donnell said she was never told that the medication could cause rapid weight loss. She said doctors were focused on getting her "numbers" down. After starting Mounjaro, O'Donnell went to ***** u but said she could not eat after her son Blake proposed to Teresa Garofalow Westervelt. The couple got married in 2024. O'Donnell is also the mother of Parker, 31, Chelsea, 28, Vivienne, 23, and Clay, 13.
The comedian said she was overwhelmed with emotion after missing her mother, Roseann, and wishing she could have witnessed Blake's engagement and new chapter in life. She initially believed that emotional experience explained her weight loss. However, two weeks later, "I get on the scale. I call my doctor crying. I must have cancer. I've lost 12 pounds and I haven't done anything. It's been three weeks since I started that medicine."
O'Donnell, who first opened up about taking Mounjaro in January 2023, explained that losing weight had always been difficult for her, even when she actively tried. She said the drug could help many people with obesity but criticized the high cost of the treatment.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Actor and comedian Tiffany Haddish avoided additional jail time Tuesday when she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor alcohol-related driving charge that stemmed from her 2022 arrest in Georgia after someone called 911 about a driver asleep at the wheel at a traffic light.
Other charges were dropped. After entering the plea by video, Haddish was placed on 12 months' probation and told to avoid drugs and alcohol and complete a substance abuse evaluation. She was credited for the brief time she spent in jail following her arrest.
Haddish's films include the comedy "Girls Trip," "Night School," "Like a Boss" and "The Kitchen." She wrote the New York Times best seller "The Last Black Unicorn," which earned a Grammy nomination. In 2018, Haddish won an Emmy for her appearance on "Saturday Night Live" and a Grammy in 2021 for her special "Black Mitzvah."
At around 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 14, 2022, someone called 911 to report seeing a person who appeared to be asleep in the driver's seat of a white Ford Explorer with their foot on the brake in Peachtree City, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of Atlanta, according to a court filing. An officer spotted an SUV that matched the description given by the caller and stopped Haddish as she pulled into a neighborhood, according to a police report.
Haddish's lawyers in May asked a judge to dismiss the case, arguing that waiting more than four years for the case to be resolved had caused personal and professional difficulties and violated her right to a speedy trial. Fayette County State Court Judge Jason Thompson rejected her arguments.

Shane Gillis recently broke the world record for the most tickets sold for a solo comedy show, but his mom missed the historic event while vacationing in Europe.
The controversial comedian has previously opened up about how he got into comedy, saying he struggled in the military and at school, which eventually led to his expulsion and his parents branding him "a loser."
He has also made headlines for his controversial remarks about Donald Trump, once saying the president was "circling the drain."
Over 73,000 people took to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia last month as Shane Gillis made history by setting two Guinness World Records for the largest live audience for a standalone comedian and the most tickets sold for a solo comedy show.
However, he has now revealed that one special seat remained empty throughout the event — the one reserved for his mom.

Comedian Bill Maher ripped Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) for his ongoing scrutiny of Anthony Fauci's time as White House chief medical adviser, arguing the senator strayed from his libertarian roots by releasing the former health official's diary and pushing to hold him in contempt of Congress.
"Stop threatening to put everyone in jail who you just don't like," Maher said Friday on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."
"Rand babe, your entire brand is 'Senator Right to Privacy,'" he continued. "You're the libertarian guy, the Fourth Amendment guy."
Maher's comments came days after the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by Paul, voted 8-5 to refer Fauci for contempt of Congress after he repeatedly refused to answer questions during a hostile Senate hearing last week about the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment right 111 times during his testimony before the committee, where Republicans slammed his response to the pandemic and blamed him for the public's declining trust in the American healthcare system.

In 2007, actor and comedian Robin Williams traveled to Kuwait for an appearance at Camp Arifjan.

Williams was doing his best to entertain the troops when they suddenly stopped paying attention to the stage. They immediately shifted their focus behind them to render honors as the American flag was lowered. Williams wasn't so much offended as mildly perplexed. At first, he didn't understand what was going on.

Related: Bob Hope entertained the troops from WWII to Desert Storm

Once the service members explained it to Williams, he brought it back to why he traveled 8,000 miles from home.

"Sort of reminds you why we're here, doesn't it?" Williams replied, according to a 2014 Defense Department article.

Here are seven celebrities who were committed to showing their appreciation for the United States military.
Bob Hope (middle) and his USO troupe visit a hospital ward in the South Pacific in 1944. (Library of Congress)
We start with the OG of military entertainers. Hope performed for troops domestically and overseas for five decades, beginning with a performance at March Field in California in 1941. Hope, whose "Road to…" films with Bing Crosby became popular with moviegoers, never tired of traveling to see troops.

His 57 tours with the United Service Organizations conveyed his appreciation to his adopted country. Born in London in 1903, Hope moved to America at an early age. He became a U.S. citizen when he was 17 years old.

"He brought such enthusiasm, brought your life back to you," Navy Seabee Ron Ronning said of Hope's last USO show during the Vietnam War in late 1972. "You felt like you were renewed."

Hope died on July 27, 2003, at the age of 100.
Country singer/songwriter Toby Keith salutes more than 1,000 service members who came to see his concert at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, April 27, 2009. (U.S. Army/Capt. Michael Greenberger)
Lee Greenwood has "God Bless the USA," perhaps the quintessential patriotic song. Few singers, though, compiled a music catalog that honored the military quite like Keith.

The "American Soldier," "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue," and "Call a Marine" singer participated in 18 USO tours. By one estimate, he performed in front of 250,000-plus troops in 17 countries. When mortar fire interrupted a set in Afghanistan, Keith left the stage. He and troops sprinted about a hundred yards to a concrete bunker. There, he signed autographs until he could return to doing what he did best.

"I've met so many great, brave service men and women over the years and had so many wonderful experiences, that I can barely remember them all," Keith said in 2012. "… I won't ever stop doing my part to extend my thanks."

Keith died in 2024 at the age of 62.

Following their split, comedian Pete Davidson and model Elsie Hewitt have reached a joint parenting agreement for their 7-month-old daughter, Scottie.
"We are cooperatively coparenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to working together to give her love from both of us," a joint statement from the couple, shared by their representatives with USA TODAY on Aug. 2, stated.
Page Six was first to report the news.
The statement comes more than two months after Hewitt, 30, opened up about her motherhood experience when she responded to paparazzi photos showing her on a walk with her daughter in a May 16 TikTok video.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm exhausted, OK? I should've left the house looking nicer yesterday. I should've known that that was going to happen," she said. "But that's not what I'm thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of. And I also have to work and make money, and I'm doing it on my own, which is hard."

Marlon Wayans is speaking out again about parenting. During a new interview, the actor, comedian, and father of three condemned spanking children as a form of discipline, saying doing so will only lead to resentment when they're older.
Marlon Wayans has made headlines before when speaking about parenting. Over the last several years, the "Scary Movie" actor has not only talked about loving his transgender son through thick and thin, but has also talked about the importance of protecting them from harm.
Speaking with Los Angeles radio station 92.3, Wayans said that his opinion on spanking children has changed as he's aged, noting that it does nothing except drive a wedge between the parent and child.
"Don't hit'em. Don't spank your kids, because it shows that you're a poor communicator. They're a baby. Why can't you talk to a baby?" Wayans said. "Every time you spank your kid, you're taking your potential best friend, and you're making them your enemy. You're hurting your potential best friend."

Chelsea Handler had one immediate question after seeing Joe Rogan placed at the top of Forbes' 2026 ranking of the highest-paid podcasters: who is paying him an estimated $82 million?
The comedian challenged the figure beneath an Instagram post promoting the list.
She argued that the money would be better directed toward veterans or children before criticizing the information Rogan shares with his enormous audience.
The $82 million figure is not a disclosed salary or a single payment from Spotify. It is Forbes' estimate of the pretax podcast-related earnings generated by Rogan or his business between June 2025 and June 2026.
"WHO IS PAYING JOE ROGAN 82 million?" Handler wrote beneath Forbes' Instagram post. "Give that to our vets, or our children!!!" She then accused Rogan of being "completely uninformed" and mocked what she characterized as his habit of casually retreating from inaccurate statements.

MANHATTAN — Folks, it really was a great year in sports, even for those of us who aren't regularly paying attention: The underdog New York Knicks won the NBA Finals, Shohei Ohtani defied baseball physics, and the Olympics introduced the masses to our new national treasure, Alysa Liu.
I spent a soggy, smoky night celebrating it all with some of the tallest and most talented people in the country at the 2026 ESPY Awards, hosted by comedian Marcello Hernández at Lincoln Center.
As someone who observes sports more from a cultural angle than a technical one, I admit I find most of the fun of televised competition to be the emotion and drama of it all (besides the whole "who's going to win" element). I also only learned that "ESPY" stands for "Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly" last night. I still had an amazing time.
Here's what I observed as an in-person attendee at the ESPYs that you might not have picked up during the televised broadcast on ESPN.
When I arrived at the theater for the red carpet, the air was heavy with wildfire smoke and the humidity of an impending deluge. Sure enough, it poured. The nasty summer storm cost everyone about an hour of interview time, but fortunately, I got to spend that time indoors chatting with Yahoo's correspondent for the night: Jazzy, a delightfully brilliant 16-year-old journalist. We spent a while fantasizing about the snacks we wished we had brought, and she recommended I try putting Flamin' Hot Cheetos in the freezer for 15 minutes, which I will be doing next time I anticipate being grumpy and impatient.

Eddie Murphy became one of Hollywood's biggest stars at such a young age, and there was no obvious handbook waiting for him. He had other successful Black entertainers to look toward, but the advice he received was not always practical. James Brown, for instance, apparently believed the then up-and-coming young comedian's best path to a long career involved cleaner language and a shovel. Thankfully, the legendary Saturday Night Live veteran did not take his advice.
Murphy recalled the wonderfully strange conversation in Apple TV's Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Men in Hollywood. The two-part documentary gathers prominent Black actors to discuss their breakthroughs, struggles and the people who helped them navigate the industry. His story begins with Brown warning that his famously profane stand-up act could shorten his time in show business. Per the Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood sketch performer:
James Brown told me to; he asked me to — he told me I should stop cursing. He said, 'You want to be in this business a long time? You can stop that cursing.'

After Conan O'Brien's dramatically different hairstyle left fans puzzled this week, the comedian has finally revealed the painful reason behind the unexpected makeover.
The hairstyle first caught fans' attention in this week's episode of Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend. Now, O'Brien says the slicked-back look wasn't intentional.
Rather, the unexpected style change was the result of treating a severe scalp sunburn he received after spending hours outdoors at the Obama Presidential Center's grand opening.
O'Brien is known for wearing his red hair in a signature pompadour style. The sudden appearance of the slicked-back style and the lack of acknowledgement of it during the podcast had fans buzzing across the internet.
Entertainment Weekly has shared a video clip where O'Brien explained the sudden change in hairstyle.
