Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford met his wife, Ally McBeal actress Calista Flockhart, in 2002.
The couple got engaged in 2009 and tied the knot over a year later. Ford, who is a dad to four children from his two previous marriages, also adopted Flockhart's son, Liam.
They've been supporting each other's careers over the years, with color-coordinated red carpet appearances and sweet shoutouts in acceptance speeches.
Back in 2002, Harrison Ford wasn't on Calista Flockhart's radar. "I remember loving him on Mosquito Coast, but I really didn't think about him," the actress said of Ford at the time. But that all changed after they met at the 59th Golden Globes with a meet-cute straight out of a '90s rom-com. Ford officially caught Flockhart's attention when he accidentally spilled wine on her dress mid-conversation. The comical moment apparently sealed the deal for Flockhart, and the two began dating from that point on.
"I'm in love. Romantic love is one of the most exciting and fulfilling kinds of love, and I think there is a potential for it at any stage of your life," Ford said in a 2003 interview, a year after meeting Flockhart. "I was not surprised that I was able to fall in love, and I wasn't surprised that I did."

Before Melissa Joan Hart played the supernatural student in "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," she starred opposite Calista Flockhart in the off-Broadway production "Beside Herself."
While starring in the 1989 production, a young Hart found an unexpected mentor in the "Ally McBeal" star, she tells USA TODAY.
"I was about 10, 11, and she was young. She was like 18," Hart says. "She used to have me come over to her house and do sleepovers and she'd give me her hand-me-down clothes. I watched the way she prepped for work."
Joe Pintauro's play "Beside Herself" follows a woman named Mary from four different stages of her life. Hart played a pre-teen Mary, while Flockhart played the role in her post-teen years.
In between shows, Hart and Flockhart would stop at New York's Bleecker Street Pizza for a slice. Hart also remembers taking notes on Flockhart's stretching routine and breathing exercises ahead of shows.

After returning to the practice field on Monday following their weekend off, the Miami Dolphins held their 13th training camp session Tuesday morning at their Baptist Health Training Complex.
Miami has a joint practice scheduled with the New York Giants later in the week before they host John Harbaugh's team for a preseason matchup at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday.

The Miami Herald's Omar Kelly reported that cornerback JuJu Brents, who has been sideline with an injury for the past couple of weeks, was back practicing on Tuesday. Wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. also returned to team period.
Kelly also noted that Zach Sieler, Clelin Ferrell, ben Sims, Quinn Ewers, Jordyn Brooks, Kenneth Grant and Robert Beal Jr. were all practicing on the side while recovering from injuries. However, safety Dante Trader Jr. did return to 11-on-11s.

Panettiere's representative confirmed her death to USA TODAY on Sunday, Aug. 16.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden," her father, Skip Panettiere said in a statement her rep shared. "She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her – and to the millions who watched her onscreen."
Panettiere, whose prolific career in TV and film began when she was a baby, got her big breakout role on NBC's "Heroes" after roles in "Remember the ****** ans," "Ally McBeal" and Disney's "Ice Princess," later starring as a country-pop singer in more than 100 episodes of "Nashville."

"Free agent guard Bradley Beal has agreed to a two-year, $13.2 million deal to return to the LA Clippers, his representative, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports, told ESPN on Thursday night. The deal includes a player option in the second season," ESPN's Shams Charania wrote.
Miami is in desperate need of shooting, especially with Antetokounmpo expected to lead the offense. For quite some time, the Heat have been interested in four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson.

Panettiere started her professional acting career on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live in 1994 as the legacy character Sarah Roberts, the daughter of Tina Lord (Andrea Evans) and Cord Roberts (John Loprieno).
In 1997, she moved from One Life to Live to Guiding Light, where she portrayed the legacy character Phillip Spaulding (Grant Aleksander) and Beth Raines (Beth Chamberlin), and remained on the show until 2000.
Throughout the years, she appeared on numerous primetime television shows, with her big break coming on Ally McBeal in 2002.
The actress lent her voice to the beloved Disney/Square Enix crossover video game series Kingdom Hearts, in which she portrayed Kairi in 2002. She later added the character of Xion as the series continued to develop in 2010.

Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks has signed a three-year, $73-million extension, The Arizona Republic confirmed August 5.
"Villain is here to stay," Brooks told The Republic. "Championship is all on my mind."
ESPN's Shams Charania first reported the news August 5, as the extension runs through the 2029-30 season.
Brooks averaged a career-high 20.2 points a game in his first year with the Suns, who acquired him from the Houston Rockets in the Kevin Durant trade.
The Suns finished 45-37 last season and returned to the postseason after missing the playoffs last season with Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, who they bought out.

The Miami Heat has been frequently linked to free agent star DeMar DeRozan this offseason. With the Heat missing out on LeBron James, who chose the rival Philadelphia 76ers in free agency, DeRozan, 36, has become one of top fallback options for Miami.
DeRozan has been a free agent since being let go by the Sacramento Kings earlier this month. A six-time All-Star, DeRozan is widely expected to land a hopeful championship-contending team.

That player is Damian Lillard, who negotiated a no-trade clause into his deal with the Trail Blazers last summer. LeBron James and Bradley Beal had no-trade clauses in their respective contracts in recent years, but Beal gave his up when he agreed to a buyout with the Suns during the 2025 offseason, and James no longer has one after his contract with the Lakers expired this summer. Connections matter in the NBA. It's become commonplace for former teammates and friends to join forces in the **** ociation (just look at the reigning champion New York Knicks). These bonds don't always lead to an NBA reunion, but they have to at least be considered during the offseason, especially in the case of the Boston Celtics and 3-time All-Star Bradley Beal.
On Tuesday, Bleacher Report insider Jake Fischer discussed how Beal's next landing spot could be tied to his friendship with Celtics star Jayson Tatum. Beal, who's about 5 years older than Tatum, was a mentor for the eventual 2024 NBA champion and the two grew up in St. Louis and both attended the same high school, Chaminade. That relationship that began in Missouri continued in the NBA and beyond, as Tatum even attended Beal's wedding last summer.
"Bradley Beal has got several options," Fischer reported. "I do think there is some Miami (Heat) interest...I wouldn't rule out Boston for Beal because of the connection with Jayson Tatum. I even asked about that today and I was told not to rule out Boston."
Beal played in just 6 games for the Los Angeles Clippers last season before opting out of his player option. A season-ending hip injury prevented the 33-year-old from seeing the court much with L.A. and he hasn't played in more than 60 games in a single season since the 2018-19 campaign.
These injury concerns and the Celtics' current financial situation — the front office could only offer Beal a veteran's minimum contract or the bi-annual exception — make a St. Louis get-together less likely.

A new rumor suggests a three-time All-Star is interested in taking his talents to the Boston Celtics because of his friendship with top star Jayson Tatum.
This has been a very interesting offseason for the Celtics, to say the least. Of course, they made the stunning trade that sent MVP contender Jaylen Brown to the same team that beat them in the playoffs, the Philadelphia 76ers. However, they also improved their frontcourt by selecting Chris Cenac Jr. in the NBA Draft and poaching Mitchell Robinson from top rival the New York Knicks. They also brought in greybeard guard Mike Conley.
Well, it looks like they could make another notable addition soon because three-time All-Star Bradley Beal could be headed to Boston, according to a new report from Jake Fischer.
"I do think there's some Miami interest there, and I would not rule out Boston for Beal because of the connection with Jayson Tatum."

Barry Jackson: There has been no contact yet between DeRozan camp and Heat, per source just now. Miami would be among teams of interest to DeRozan, who is being set free by the Kings. Miami's options now include - among others - DeRozan, Beal, Gary Trent. Or the Heat simply could wait on LeBron decision before deciding what wing player to pursue. I expect Heat to try to add another wing; tough call is whether to pounce on one of these players or wait to see if a surprise name shakes free. Mavs -- trying to be playoff contender- don't need to buyout Klay, obvously. And if Kings use waive and stretch on DeRozan (reported to be likely path), they do not necessarily need to do that with Zach LaVine.

A new report reveals three big guards are on the Miami Heat’s wish list to join Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2026-27 season. However, a fan-favorite former member of the roster is not being looked at for a reunion.
After months of rumors and speculation, the Heat were able to do something last week that their fanbase has long hoped for. They completed a blockbuster trade for the Milwaukee Bucks legend. However, the trade thinned out their roster significantly, and they must now look to add meaningful talent around Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo at an affordable rate.
A variety of players have been linked to the Heat in recent days. However, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson and Anthony Chiang, three sizable veteran guards are among the targets for the organization right now.

That being said, teams have been able to negotiate with their own free agents since the day after the NBA Finals and in the same stretch teams have been able to engage with other on trades so some of the biggest personnel stories of the summer have already come to pass. The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade between the Bucks and Heat the day before the draft still marks the biggest move of the summer, but Monday was one of the overall most active days of the cycle so far as it marked a deadline for many players and teams to decide on player and club options for this season.
Over the course of the day, some of the league's most interesting free agents came off the board either because options were exercised or extensions were executed. Among them were Sacramento's Zach LaVine, Golden State's Kristaps Porzingis, Houston's Fred VanVleet, Miami's Andrew Wiggins, the Lakers' Deandre Ayton, Oklahoma City's Luguentz Dort, Detroit's Kevin Huerter, San Antonio's Julian Champagnie, the Clippers' Brook Lopez and Utah's Jusuf Nurkic. However, there was a major trade with troubled All-Star point guard Ja Morant going from Memphis to Portland for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray and intrigue among several players who either declined options or saw their clubs decline them.

The Pacers for their part have been fairly quiet and there isn't much smoke going around about their potential involvement in any player movement. They picked up the $2.8 million club option for Micah Potter, which gives them the bird-in-hand advantage of having three centers under contract heading into free agency. However, his contract is not fully guaranteed until July 10, so they can continue to monitor the free agent market to see if they can find a better center and waive Potter if they do.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself asking a simple question. Who exactly are the people running Sunderland AFC?
We all know Kyril Louis-Dreyfus. We know Juan Sartori. Florent Ghisolfi arrived with a strong reputation from European football. Tom Burwell’s name has become increasingly prominent behind the scenes. But beyond the headlines, I realised I didn’t know much about them. How did they get here? How do they know each other? What skills do they bring? And perhaps most importantly, how does it all fit together?
The deeper I looked, the more I became convinced that these aren’t simply four talented individuals who have found themselves at the same football club. They are part of a carefully ******* embled leadership group, each recruited to fulfil a specific role within a much bigger plan.
And that plan tells us quite a lot about how Kyril Louis-Dreyfus operates.

Beal brings more than 15 years of experience in mining operations, technology commercialization, corporate development, and capital markets. At NextOre, he grew the magnetic resonance sorting technology company from zero to a $131 million market capitalization, raising $17.9 million across four capital rounds and securing operational contracts across Australia, the Philippines, Chile, Mexico, and Zambia.
CEO Terry Lynch said Beal would take on primary responsibility for completing the company's upcoming preliminary economic ***** sment and feasibility study on the Nisk project.
"We sincerely believe Nisk has the potential to become a robust new mine and that these studies will derisk and eventually lead to a positive development decision," Lynch said. "We look forward to having Chris be a principal in this transformation."
The company expects Beal to transition to COO toward the end of 2026 or early 2027.
