Fresh tensions have surfaced within the Beckham family after claims that Harper Beckham's recent visit to her brother Brooklyn Beckham's home was a publicity stunt. The allegations sparked a swift response from sources close to the family. The latter strongly rejected suggestions that the encounter was planned for cameras.
Harper Beckham was in the United States to support her father, David Beckham, who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She reportedly arrived at Brooklyn Beckham's Beverly Hills home in an SUV. Reports later claimed the 14-year-old arrived "unannounced" and left shortly afterwards without seeing her older brother. The brief visit immediately became a talking point, particularly given the strained relationship between Brooklyn and his famous parents.
A representative for Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham said, "That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras." However, a family source rejected the allegation, calling it "clearly nonsense."
People close to David and Victoria Beckham strongly disputed those claims. According to family insiders, suggestions that the visit had been choreographed were completely "untrue" and "unfair." The response marked the latest public disagreement connected to the family's highly publicized fallout, which has dominated headlines for months.
Shortly after the controversy emerged, David and Victoria headed to dinner at ****** u Malibu. Their son, Romeo, and his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, also joined the outing. Observers noted that the family appeared serious as they arrived at the restaurant. However, they continued to present a united front despite the ongoing tensions surrounding Brooklyn.

After suffering a rugby injury at 17, Morgan Purnell decided to get into reselling vintage clothes.
He made £142,235 ($191,241) in 2025, with Vinted accounting for the biggest portion of sales.
Purnell uses social media to promote his business, and AI to streamline processes.
This as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Morgan Purnell, a 20-year-old entrepreneur who runs a vintage-clothing resale business and is based in Surrey, UK. It's been edited for length and clarity.
My dream when I was a kid was to play professional rugby. But when I tore 2 ligaments in my right knee when I was 17, it knocked me out of rugby for about a year and a half. My entire identity was stripped overnight.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim Heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane spoiled Alex Pereira’s bid to become the first three-division champion in promotional history, knocking out “Poatan” in the second round tonight (Sun., June 14, 2026) at UFC Freedom 250 live on Paramount+ on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C., as UFC celebrated America’s 250th anniversary.
The first round between Gane and Pereira was competitive, but it seemed like the French striker was getting the better of the Brazilian future Hall of Famer, truly welcoming him to the Heavyweight division.
Then, less than 30 seconds into the second round, Gane put a stamp on his performance.
Gane dropped Pereira with a power jab and immediately started unloading heavy shots. Pereira appeared to be badly hurt — and maybe even out on his feet — but the former Middleweight and Light Heavyweight champion somehow survived the initial 30-second onslaught.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — For a moment, it appeared that Ecuador and the Ivory Coast would come away with the first scoreless draw of the 2026 World Cup.
That was until Ivory Coast forward Amad Diallo scored the game-winning goal in the 90th minute.
Diallo's goal not only handed Ivory Coast a 1-0 win at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia to open up Group E play on Sunday, June 14, but it also put into perspective the missed opportunities that Ecuador had, ones that could have resulted in it walking away with three points itself instead.
"They finished, we didn't. We leave with a defeat, but with our heads up," Ecuador forward Enner Valencia said postgame. "Heads up, knowing that this just started, and we've got a whole tournament ahead. We've got two more matches, so now we need to rest and prepare for those."
Ecuador started the match with controlled possession and created some early looks goal against Ivory Coast's defense. That included one in the 23rd minute when John Yeboah recovered the ball and moved through a pair of defenders, but the shot hit the crossbar.

This is the UFC White House live blog for Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje, the lightweight championship unification main event Sunday at the White House in Washington, D.C.
Topuria (17-0) is yet to be defeated and already has a pair of UFC ******* les to his name won at 155 and 145 pounds, two of the deepest divisions in MMA. His incredible achievements have him at No. 2 in the MMA Fighting Pound-for-Pound Rankings, behind only former lightweight champion and current welterweight champion Islam Makhachev.
It’s been a ******* py road for Topuria since winning the lightweight belt in June 2025 as he unsuccessfully pursued a superfight with Makhachev and then had to take time off to deal with personal matters. However, he’s a heavy favorite heading into Sunday’s main event and for good reason. “El Matador” has already knocked out a number of legends in the cage, including Charles Oliveira and featherweight greats Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. A win over Gaethje could propel Topuria to his long-awaited grudge match with Makhachev.
Gaethje (27-5) is determined to foil those plans as he heads into what could be his last chance to become undisputed UFC champion. Already the only fighter to win two interim UFC ******* les, Gaethje has previously twice fought for the chance to be the No. 1 name at 155 pounds, but was denied by Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira. “The Highlight” clawed his way back to a unification bout with consecutive wins over Paddy Pimblett and Rafael Fiziev, and could cap off one of the most memorable careers in MMA history if he defies the odds and hands Topuria his first loss.

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal writes Conn Smythe Trophy history originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Carolina Hurricanes have now won the Stanley Cup for the second time in franchise history and for the first time since 2006 — eliminating the Vegas Golden Knights in six games on the evening of June 14.
Hurricanes' captain Jordan Staal was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy for the most valuable player in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the process. The Conn Smythe is determined via a vote by a panel of the Professional Hockey Writers **** ociation. Staal had 12 points in 18 playoff games and is the fourth straight forward to win the coveted accolade. He previously won the Stanley Cup in 2009 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who traded him to Carolina in 2012 before ultimately writing history against the Golden Knights.
Though, what is extra significant about Staal winning the 2026 Conn Smythe is that the captain has now become the oldest player to be bestowed the award at age 37. In addition, Staal became the first player in NHL history to go 17 years from one Stanley Cup (the aforementioned one from 2009) to the next.
Staal also ranks second in Carolina franchise history with 972 games played.

The Cincinnati Bengals shared video of defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence throwing out the first pitch at Great American Ball Park before the Cincinnati Reds' series finale June 14 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
"Big man, big league," was the caption that accompanied the video in the Bengals' tweet.
The video shows Lawrence warming up by tossing a baseball to fellow Bengals defensive tackle BJ Hill, his former New York Giants teammate.
Lawrence threw a strike to Reds pitcher Tejay Antone. He didn't celebrate with the "Sexy Dexy," which he did at the Bengals' draft party.
But Reds mascot Mr. Redlegs celebrated meeting Lawrence with his rendition of Lawrence's sack dance.

The San Francisco 49ers added serious firepower to their offense during free agency by signing six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans to a three-year contract. As the team progresses through offseason workouts, one NFL **** yst thinks head coach Kyle Shanahan will utilize the 6-foot-5 boundary target at a particular area of the field: the red zone.
According to FantasyPros **** yst Andrew Erickson, Evans is stepping into a situation primed for high-volume touchdown production. Erickson thinks Evans can replicate what another star veteran did on a new team this past year—Los Angeles Rams receiver Davante Adams. He noted Adams' NFL-leading 14 touchdowns during his first season with the Rams as a reachable goal for Evans in San Francisco because of Jauan Jennings' departure and Brock Purdy's red zone scoring numbers.
During the 2025 season, 11 of Adams' 14 scores came from 10 yards or fewer away from the end zone. That hyper-localized production mirrors exactly how Evans has built a borderline Hall of Fame resume. Over his 12-year career, Evans has hauled in 108 total receiving touchdowns, with 51 of those scores generated from that same short-yardage area.
This interior scoring prowess pairs perfectly with Purdy’s efficiency. When healthy last season, Purdy finished second in the NFL by averaging 2.2 passing touchdowns per game.
Evans is already turning heads at practice and establishing a rapport with Purdy. He'll just need to keep doing what he's been doing to rebound off an injury-plagued 2025 season during his first year in the Bay.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight champion, Sean O’Malley, showed up in superstar fashion, knocking out Canada’s Aiemann Zahabi in the second round tonight (Sun., June 14, 2026) at UFC Freedom 250 live on Paramount+ on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C., as UFC celebrated America’s 250th anniversary.
The first round consisted mostly of Zahabi circling away from O’Malley and throwing leg kicks, while “Suga” patiently picked him apart and used the Canadian as a punching bag.
Then, just like O’Malley predicted during UFC Freedom 250 fight week, the knockout came.
Four minutes into the second round, O’Malley cracked Zahabi with a straight left hand that sat him down. Zahabi quickly got back to his feet, only for O’Malley to land a picture-perfect right hand that slumped him for good.
Then, O’Malley saluted the crowd.

June 14 (UPI) -- Jaccob Slavin and the Carolina Hurricanes vaporized Vegas Golden Knights offensive threats in a Game 6 shutout Sunday to seal the franchise's first Stanley Cup in 20 years.
Slavin provided an ******* ist, but made most of his impact as a spoiler of the Golden Knights' hopes of extending the series, foiling countless chances in Carolina's 3-0 triumph in Las Vegas.
"What a feeling," Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal, the Stanley Cup playoffs MVP, said on the ABC broadcast. "What a battle. The boys were grinding today. So many individual efforts to keep the puck out of the net. It was an amazing ride."
Hurricanes goalie Brandon Bussi, who took over for benched starter Frederik Andersen in Game 3, made 22 saves in Game 6 to become the first rookie to record a shutout in a Stanley Cup clincher since 1936. The Hurricanes are the first team since the 1984 Edmonton Oilers to win a Stanley Cup while using two starting goalies.
"It's special," Bussi said. "It's been a special year. It's been an honor to do it with this group. Everybody deserves it so much."

Aldon Smith, a former San Francisco 49ers star whose NFL career evaporated amid a bevy of off-field issues, died Saturday, the Niners announced. He was 36 years old.
The team's statement:
"We are devastated by the sudden and tragic passing of Aldon Smith. Aldon's undeniable talent and sheer dominance on the field were on display from the moment he joined our organization, having recorded one of the best rookie seasons the National Football League has seen. Beyond his excellence as a player, Aldon will be remembered for his infectious smile that lit up every room he walked into. Our entire organization sends its deepest condolences to the Smith family and all who knew and loved Aldon."
No cause of death was provided.
Smith displayed seemingly unlimited potential in his first two seasons with the Niners. The seventh overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft was immediately one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, posting 14 sacks in his rookie season to earn Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

The Diamondbacks will reinstate outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. from the injured list on Monday, June 15. To make room, outfielder Ryan Waldschmidt will be optioned to Triple-A Reno.
Gurriel has been on the injured list since May 23 due to a strained left hamstring. He was hitting .228/.284/.304 with one home run in 92 at-bats at the time of the injury.
Waldschmidt, the club’s top prospect, was hitting .259/.314/.357 with no homers in 112 at-bats. His production has slipped in recent weeks; in his past 17 games, he is just 11 for 61 (.180) with a .493 OPS.
The Diamondbacks opted to keep another rookie outfielder, Tommy Troy, on the roster. Troy homered on Sunday against the Reds and is hitting .228/.323/.368 in 57 at-bats.
The club is also sticking with Jorge Barrosa, an excellent defensive outfielder who has struggled at the plate. Barrosa is out of minor league options and would have to be exposed to waivers.

Holding cryptocurrency inside a Roth IRA is legal, and for some investors the structure is genuinely compelling. Crypto gains inside a Roth IRA are tax-free if you follow the rules, which means a position that grows 300% doesn't generate a capital gains bill the way it would in a taxable brokerage account. But most major custodians, including Fidelity, Vanguard, and Schwab, don't offer direct crypto exposure. Getting it requires a self-directed Roth IRA.
The IRS has never issued a ruling that explicitly bans cryptocurrency in IRAs. What the IRS has clarified is that cryptocurrency is treated as property for tax purposes, per IRS Notice 2014-21. Thistle Resources (TSX-V:TRCG, OTC:TRCGF) earlier this week reported encouraging drill results from its flagship Middle River Gold project in New Brunswick's Bathurst Mining Camp, with management saying the latest intersection continues to support the scale and growth potential of the emerging gold system.
Speaking with Proactive, chief executive Patrick Cruickshank said drill hole 21TRC-AU007 returned a significant gold-bearing interval from a shallow section of the deposit. The hole formed part of the company's ongoing drilling campaign aimed at expanding and defining mineralisation at Middle River.
Cruickshank reported that the 74-metre drill hole intersected 21 metres of significant gold mineralisation at a composite grade of approximately 1.66 g/t gold. He described the result as "a pretty rich composite over 74m" and noted that it also contained stronger intervals over eight metres and 14 metres.
The CEO said the result further validates the company's exploration model. Thistle has identified seven kilometres of mineralised folds across the project area through geophysical work undertaken with specialist partners. To date, the company has defined a deposit extending roughly 400 metres along one of those folds.
A key catalyst for investors will be the company's continued drilling program. Cruickshank explained that Thistle intends to focus on expanding the current mineralized trend before progressing to additional targets. The strategy is designed to support future inferred and indicated resource estimates through systematic step-out drilling and improved drill density.

PISCATAWAY — Hudson Ferrando arrived at Ramsey High School as a freshman pitching prospect.
In the NJSIAA Group 2 baseball final on June 14, he went out as one of the hitting heroes of the Rams' second state championship in four years.
Ferrando drove in the go-ahead run with a sixth-inning squeeze bunt, helping Ramsey dethrone two-time reigning champ Governor Livingston, 4-2, at Rutgers' Bainton Field.
The right-hander watched older brother Jake's team win the 2022 Group 2 trophy at Veterans Park in Hamilton. Hudson proceeded to earn three varsity letters for his work on the mound, but he was unable to pitch this spring due to an arm injury. So, he played designated hitter all season and drove in 26 runs, second-most on the team.
"My mentality just had to switch over to [that of] a hitter, because that's what the team needed me for," Ferrando said. "I started the year batting seventh, and I worked my way up to batting fifth."

Former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, was admitted to the hospital on June 14, though his office did not immediately confirm why the lawmaker needed medical attention.
McConnell spokesperson David Popp shared with reporters that "Senator McConnell was admitted to the hospital this morning" and "he is receiving excellent care."
McConnell, one of the most influential American politicians in modern history, first joined the U.S. Senate in 1984 and served as the Republican leader in the chamber from 2007 through 2024 before he was succeeded by Sen. John Thune of South Dakota.
The Kentucky Republican, 84, announced in February last year that he would retire at the end of his term, which ends in 2027.
McConnell has struggled publicly with his health in recent years. He froze up while speaking with reporters in two 2023 incidents and suffered several falls, using a wheelchair at times as a precaution.

Elon Musk says **** eX revenue could reach roughly $1 trillion a year by 2030, and likely more in 2031. That projection sits far above the forecasts of the bankers who just took his company public.
Musk made the claim on X (Twitter) over the weekend, days after **** eX completed the largest stock market debut in history. His own underwriters model only a fraction of that number.
SpaceX reported $18.7 billion in revenue for 2025, according to its IPO filing. Revenue climbed from $14 billion in 2024, growth of about 33%.
Revenue stood near $10 billion in 2023, so the trajectory is steep but not vertical.
Even so, hitting $1 trillion by 2030 would demand a 53-fold jump in five years. No company near this size has ever grown that fast.

Germany swept aside tiny Curacao at the World Cup on Sunday, thrashing the debutants 7-1 in Houston while the Iran team touched down in the United States.
Curacao, the smallest nation by population ever to qualify for the tournament, came face-to-face with the four-time winners and despite Livano Comenencia scoring an early equalizer to give his nation a historic first World Cup goal, they soon found the going tough.
Felix Nmecha opened the scoring for the Germans and despite the equalizer, they soon overran the blue shirts of Curacao, with Kai Havertz grabbing a double.
Despite their proud record in the competition, Germany have struggled in recent tournaments and this was the first time they had won their first opening match at a World Cup since they lifted the trophy in 2014.
"It took us a few minutes to get back into the game after they equalized. Curacao can play football too, as we saw, and I'm curious to see how they'll fare in the group going forward," said Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Entering the College World Series, Ole Miss baseball had not lost a game in the NCAA Tournament.
As an unseeded team, the Rebels had gone 5-0 through the Lincoln Regional and Auburn Super Regional.
However, when the Rebels took the field against Troy at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 14, they found themselves in an unfamiliar position coming off a loss to North Carolina in their CWS opener.
For the first time in this year’s NCAA Tournament, Ole Miss was challenged with having to bounce back from defeat. With their season on the line, the Rebels failed to deliver, losing 12-8 to the Trojans.
It all started to go wrong for Ole Miss (41-23) in the fifth inning with the Rebels up 6-2.

The MLB is about to be the focal point of the summer shortly and as the heat wave across the country starts to heat up, so does the major awards market.
Some of the hottest topics in the baseball community have been about the American League MVP since Aaron Judge joined the IL, and the race between four different pitchers in the NL for Cy Young.
All betting odds are via DraftKings and stats are as of Sunday morning on June 14.
The hottest name in baseball right now is Jacob Misirowski. As he approaches his one year anniversary of his debut, the 6-foot-7 phenom has been outstanding. If you live under rock, then you probably didn't hear about his historic complete game that featured 95 pitches, one hit allowed, no earned runs, and 15 strikeouts with no walks against the Phillies.
What's arguably most impressive in that start was his consistency and endurance. Misiorowski hit 104.5 mph against the first batter, which is an MLB record, and 103 mph versus the final hitter. Other insane notes from that start featured he never had a three-ball count, 74 of his 95 pitches were strikes, and he recorded a game score of 100, which marks only the 10th time that has happened in history.

The UFC appears to have borrowed the informal motto of the U.S. Postal Service as its President and CEO Dana White dismissed concerns about the weather leading up to UFC Freedom 250, set to take place on the South Lawn of the White House on June 14.
"Listen, the show goes on on Sunday, no matter what happens. We're going. I don't care if it rains, snows," White said. "I'm sick and tired of hearing about all the weather now."
"We are fighting on Sunday night on the White House lawn,” White said, adding, "no matter what!"
The National Weather Service forecast for June 14 in Washington, DC, includes a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 p.m. ET, with the chance of scattered showers and wind gusts up to 22 miles per hour.
The event was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET, but the UFC later announced that it will delay the start of the fights to 9 p.m. ET.

José Mourinho reportedly wants former Germany midfielder Sami Khedira in his coaching staff in his return to Real Madrid.
The Athletic portal and Spanish sports daily AS said that talks have been held about a role of ******* istant coach and that the 39-year-old Khedira was considering the matter.
Mourinho brought Khedira to Real during his first term until 2013. The 2014 World Cup winner Khedira played at the club until 2015.
Khedira, who ended his playing career in 2021, has never worked as a coach.
Former Real defender Pepe has also been linked with a coaching job under Portuguese compatriot Mourinho. But the former defender named this speculation in social media and that he has not talked about it with Mourinho.

Troy baseball bounced back from losing its opener in the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, to slug its way to a 12-8 victory over Ole Miss in an elimination game on Sunday, June 14.

The Trojans (40-31), who swept Little Rock in a home super regional, will play again on Tuesday, Jun 16, at 1 p.m. CT vs the winner of Sunday evening's game between West Virginia and North Carolina. West Virginia beat Troy 7-5 on Friday to send Troy to the losers bracket.
Troy beat Florida twice and also knocked off Miami to win the Gainesville (Florida) Regional to make it to the super regional round.

Champions Tour rookie and Iowa golf icon Zach Johnson won the Principal Charity Classic on June 14 at Wakonda Club in Des Moines.
The Iowa City native, Cedar Rapids Regis alum and former Drake golfer beat Richard Green and Retief Goosen by four strokes to claim the championship in his first year on the Champions Tour.
Johnson finished with a 17-under-par score of 199 after shooting a 5-under 67 in Sunday’s final round.

A 12-time winner on the PGA Tour, Johnson's win in Des Moines was his second on the Champions Tour. He won the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational on March 8.

Bud Cauley birdied four holes in a five-hole stretch on the back nine at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley’s North Course to win the RBC Canadian Open for his first PGA Tour victory in 238 career starts and eight years after being involved in a single-car accident that derailed his career.
Cauley, 36, closed with 5-under 65 on Sunday in Caledon, Ottawa for a 72-hole total of 17-under 263 and two-shot win over Matt Fitzpatrick.
A three-time first-team All-American at the University of Alabama, Cauley was destined for stardom when he turned pro, and he recorded five top-15 finishes in 11 starts to earn PGA Tour status without needing Q-School. The RBC Canadian Open was among the tournaments wooing him with a sponsor invite when he joined the pay-for-play ranks, and Cauley finished T-13 in his tournament debut in 2011.
“I just remember the golf course being very hard. I remember Tommy Gainey playing well the first round and saying we should have a U.S. Open here, kind of forgetting that we were not in the United States,” said Cauley with a laugh.
But his career has endured more lows than highs. In 2014, he suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery. That was nothing compared to tragedy striking in June 2018. Cauley was a passenger in a single-car accident in Dublin, Ohio, during the Memorial Tournament. He sustained six broken ribs, a broken leg and a collapsed lung in the accident in which he was a passenger. He posted on Instagram that he felt “lucky to be alive.”
