Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors are set to meet in Dublin in 2027 in the first Super League fixture to be played in Ireland.
The two teams will face each other at the newly refurbished Laya Arena, home of rugby union side Leinster, on Saturday, 24 April 2027.
"This is another landmark moment for our club, for Super League and for the sport of rugby league," Warrington chief executive Karl Fitzpatrick said.
"Following the success of the Las Vegas and Paris projects, and the appetite shown for taking our game to new audiences, Dublin is the perfect next destination.
"It is a world-class sporting city with a proven track record of hosting major international events and provides another outstanding opportunity to showcase our sport on the big stage."

Arsenal have confirmed on social media that Martin Odegaard is back in training at their London Colney training centre, making his comeback for pre-season after his post-World Cup holiday.
The rest of the senior squad are currently in Dublin for the friendly match against Real Betis on Wednesday evening, so Odegaard hasn't quite linked up with his teammates yet. The ****** nal captain is set to miss Wednesday's friendly.
But that's no surprise, considering Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli made their own late comebacks last week, and neither of them were in the subsequent matchday squad against Girona.
The ****** nal medical and fitness staff clearly want to give players a few days to get up to speed before throwing them into match situations.

Well folks, it's that time again. August is here and so begins ******* nal's slate of preseason matches. Today, the Gunners face Girona to cap off a week of training in Spain. They take on Real Betis (and Hector Bellerin) in Dublin on Wednesday, August 5th, Dortmund next Sunday in the Emirates Cup, and Como on August 12th before the Community Shield on August 16th. The Premier League season kicks off in less than three weeks — the 21st home to newly promoted Coventry.

NEW YORK (AP) — Ancient mummy DNA recovered in Chile has yielded the firmest evidence yet that European colonization brought smallpox to the Americas.
Smallpox was one of the deadliest diseases in human history before it was eradicated in 1980, largely thanks to vaccination. For centuries, the virus had killed about one-third of the people it infected and left most survivors with deep and sometimes disfiguring scars.
Outbreaks struck Asia and Europe and eventually spread to the Americas, where colonial writings, administrative records and missionary reports documented how it killed millions and devastated Indigenous populations who had never been exposed to the virus.
Now there's scientific evidence for the spread: An ******* ysis of Chilean mummies provides the strongest genetic link yet to the virus as it existed outside of the Americas, and provides a better picture of how it reached remote populations through colonization, said geneticist Shigeki Nakagome with Trinity College Dublin.
In the new study, Nakagome and colleagues examined 13 bone samples previously collected from an archaeological site at Camarones, in northern Chile.

Muay Thai, a combat style with roots in close-quarter fighting from 7th Century Southeast Asia, has evolved over two millennia into a brutally effective means of self-defense. Byrd was a member of the 2025 All-SEC Second Team and was a member of the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches ***** ociation Southeast Region First Team. The Sarasota, Florida, native appeared in all 28 matches for the Gators, leading the way on offense in 23 of them, recording double-figure kills and pouring in a total of 425 kills and 457.5 points, which led the team last season. In total, Byrd was responsible for 30% of the Gator production on offense during her redshirt sophomore campaign.

It seemed like the perfect time for the club to arrange a pre-season friendly in Dublin, where Sunderland would take on Shelbourne FC, and on a sunny midweek evening in the Irish capital, hundreds of Sunderland supporters, — including this writer — made the journey from both near and far to Tolka Park on Dublin's north side.
Having just suffered relegation in humiliating circumstances, the timely announcement of Niall Quinn's takeover from Bob Murray added a level of excitement to a fixture that otherwise would've been viewed as little more than a routine summer friendly.
I recall sitting in the stands, clad in my red and white stripes, cheering as the giant that was Quinn strode past, saluting his people while we lavished the man dubbed the "saviour" with praise at a time when the club was on its knees.
Moments later, my attention shifted to a Newcastle supporter who couldn't have been much older than my twelve-year-old self.
He shuffled sheepishly past the Sunderland end, dressed head to toe in black and white, enduring a relentless chorus of abuse from the home crowd. Looking back, I can't help but wonder whether anyone had thought to inform him that his choice of attire wasn't exactly suited to the occasion.

England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales secured the right to host Euro 2028 after winning UEFA’s vote on 10 October 2023.

Chief executive Mark Darbon says the R&A is "getting pretty close" to staging an Open Championship at Portmarnock Golf Club in Dublin.
The R&A - the governing body which organises and runs the Open - first revealed the possibility of Portmarnock hosting golf's oldest championship in 2023, with the Irish government announcing its support of up to 40 million euro (£34m) in 2024.
Portmarnock, which has previously hosted the men's and women's amateur championships, would become the first venue outside of the United Kingdom to host the Open or Women's Open.
"I think we're getting pretty close. It's a complicated venue because of the scale of the Open Championship, so there's been a lot of great feasibility work with the golf club themselves, with the local authority, the government," Darbon said on the eve of this year's tournament at Royal Birkdale.
"We've undertaken a big feasibility study, that work is pretty much done. We've confirmed that we believe we can take an Open Championship there.

It’s like Groundhog Day, in that we always proclaim to improve on our failures, learn our lessons and so on but here we are yet again, guilty of the same old incompetence on the recruitment front.

LEIXLIP, Ireland, July 13 (Reuters) - Intel has begun a €5 billion ($5.7 billion) capital investment at its Irish campus to expand its manufacturing output in Europe and meet growing global demand for AI and high-performance computing, the U.S. chipmaker said on Monday.
Intel said the move would maximize capacity at its European manufacturing base in Leixlip outside Dublin, expanding current production output, advancing research and development activities and utilising capacity across existing cleanroom space.
Intel is one of the key multinationals in Ireland's foreign investment-focused economy, having already invested €30 billion in the country since 1989, more than half of which was spent between 2019 and 2023 to double capacity at the plant in order to produce the company's most advanced process technologies.
The chipmaker, which employs 4,900 people in Ireland, said its latest capital expenditure programme at the Leixlip campus began earlier this year.
The investment will upgrade existing fabrication facilities and the install leading-edge manufacturing equipment to deliver Intel Xeon 6 processors and next generation Intel Xeon built on the group's Intel 3 manufacturing process, the company said.

Former India coach Rahul Dravid says he is still open to coaching roles despite making a foray into franchise ownership.
Dravid is co-owner of the Dublin Guardians in the inaugural edition of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) which is taking place later this summer.
The 53-year-old played 164 Tests and 344 one-day internationals for India and coached their national team from 2021 to 2024.
Dravid told BBC Sport he would "certainly" be keen continue to be involved in coaching if some "good opportunities come up".
"This league is only a month in the year so I think that was the exciting part of it, to try and do something different for a month," Dravid said.

Martin O'Neill has spoken about the trio of players who are tipped to leave the club in the coming weeks, and like the supporters doesn't want to see them leave, but knows deep down like the rest of us that he's fighting a losing battle.

Two English Championship sides are said to be interested in signing Celtic striker Johnny Kenny, according to serval outlets.

The 23 year old Irish International, despite impressing in flashes, has had limited opportunities in a Celtic shirt, and spent the second half of last season on loan at league one side Bolton Wanderers.

Goals proved decisive as Kerry's quest for back-to-back All-Ireland SFC ***** les remains on course with a 2-18 to 0-20 victory over Dublin in Sunday's semi-final.
In scorching heat at Croke Park, Jack O'Connor's men did enough to get past a stern Dublin, who will reflect on a day where they were close to upsetting the odds, but 12 wides and two goal chances of their own passed up cost them.
It was the first championship meeting between the old rivals since Dublin won the 2023 All- Ireland final and while Ger Brennan's men have enjoyed a relatively productive campaign with wins over Donegal and Galway, the Kingdom remained a step ahead.
While David Clifford was held quiet for long spells, the Fossa man still ended up with 1-6 to his name as Kerry found a way to get him on the ball, but older brother Paudie pulled the strings with five points of his own.
For Dublin, Con O'Callaghan was well contained, but Cormac Costello and Colm Basquel stepped up, but they needed more on the day as Kerry will now face Mayo in the final on Sunday, 26 July.

The USA international had been on an extended spell away from the pitch last year, as he succumbed to a nasty Achilles injury during our Europa League match with Sturm Graz way back in October, just before things started to go pear shaped. Brendan Rodgers departed the club once more under a cloud, due to recruitment failings and being backstabbed by the executive suite, whilst our principal shareholder released a scandalous statement excoriating the Irishman for his part in proceedings.
That massive mess that was left behind cannot be allowed to happen again, as it precipitated a nasty and vociferous clash between the club and it's current custodians. Recruitment has become such an issue at the moment for Celtic, that supporters have had no choice but to mobilise and try to affect change at the very top, with the way in which we conduct business currently not acceptable or palatable to fans for that matter.
Martin O'Neill had to fight just to get his backroom staff back at the club, after our Board of Directors tried lowballing Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham, despite saving their bacon twice last season. That has not went down well with a fanbase who are already losing patience with the club's hierarchy, as poor communication and lack of appreciation for the supporters wishes are constant canker sore.

When Conor McGregor steps into the octagon to face Max Holloway after a five-year absence on Sunday, it will be a bittersweet moment for many fans.
On one hand it is the return of the biggest star in mixed martial arts history, with McGregor central to the sport's rise in popularity.
The Irishman was the UFC's first simultaneous two-weight world champion, while his brash and witty personality captivated fans like no MMA fighter before him.
