Zendaya continues her legendary reign of method dressing on the red carpet. Attending the Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiere after-party in London, the actress turned heads in a jaw-dropping custom creation. Styled by her long-time image architect Law Roach, she channeled iconic comic book history. Consequently, her striking look brought classic Marvel art to life while delivering high-fashion drama that fans around the world will never forget.
For the late-night celebration, Zendaya wore a custom-designed halter dress created by American designer LaQuan Smith. The body-hugging midi dress featured bold, horizontal black-and-white stripes that wrapped around her frame.
The dress showcased a daringly deep plunging V-neckline that extended all the way down toward her waist. At the bottom, the sleek bodycon silhouette flared out into a dramatic, vibrant red satin ruffled hem at her calves.
The unique outfit was a direct recreation of a vintage 1980s Spider-Man comic book illustration. Specifically, it brought to life a paper-doll dress designed for Mary Jane Watson nearly 40 years ago.
Interestingly, Selena Gomez previously wore a bold striped LaQuan Smith knit dress during a high-profile appearance, proving the designer's mastery of eye-catching lines. However, Zendaya's custom version takes the striped aesthetic to a cinematic level by transforming comic book art into red-carpet couture.

Tom Holland confirmed his marriage to Zendaya in June after months of speculation
Holland recently dodged a second grader's question about his marriage during his guest appearance on Celebrity Substitute
The couple has previously expressed their desire to preserve privacy in their relationship
Tom Holland may be referring to Zendaya as his "wife" now, but he's not quite ready to answer any direct questions about their marriage.
Holland, 30, confirmed his marriage to his Spider-Man and The Odyssey costar, 29, in June, following months of speculation. Since then, he's began publicly calling Zendaya his "wife," first on the July 21 episode of the Dish podcast, and, most recently, during his July 28 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Despite this, he recently dodged a kid's question about his marriage.

Fashion trailblazer Law Roach squashed rumors about Zendaya and Tom Holland's second wedding. The stylist is urging fans to celebrate the couple's private wedding rather than speculate about a second ceremony.
While chatting with Complex at the Los Angeles premiere of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" on Monday, July 27, Roach, 48, shut down speculation that Zendaya, 29, and Holland, 30, will have a second, more public ceremony.
When asked point-blank if the couple planned another wedding, Zendaya's longtime stylist didn't hesitate.
"I don't think so," Roach said. He urged fans to celebrate the couple instead of chasing more details. "I think that people should congratulate them. It's two young, beautiful, successful people that are in love, and they had a private wedding, and they got away with it. And I think people should just, you know, congratulate them. And if these are two people that you look up to or that you love their work, just celebrate them being together and happy," he added.
Roach doubled down on his answer, confirming the second-wedding rumor is "definitely not true."

Tom Holland failed a husband test in hilarious fashion during a recent "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" interview with his wife Zendaya when he failed to remember the lyrics to her 2013 song, "Replay."
Holland, Zendaya and fellow "Spider-Man" co-star Jacob Batalon participated in an interview shared online Monday with Australian news outlet Pedestrian. During the conversation, the three were asked which one of them would be able to finish the lyrics to "one of the most iconic songs of all time," which turned out to be "Replay."
After interviewer Lachlan Guertin read out loud a few lines from the song, Holland and Batalon quickly gave up, with the former telling Guertin, "I have no idea." He also did not know Zendaya had already put it all together.
"That's my song, guys," Zendaya said, much to Holland and Batalon's embarrassment, adding, "Yeah, that's 'Replay.' So, thanks, guys. You know, you think you know someone, you know? And that's alright. It's okay."
"That was the wrong reaction," Holland admitted with his head in his hand. You can watch the full, cheeky moment yourself in the video below.

Here comes the celebrity fashion bride. Luxury brands are turning the wedding aisle into the new Hollywood red carpet. How "Little House on the Prairie" costume designer Mitchell Travers explored the artistry of Native American makers, Americana workwear and homespun dress. Plus, Betye Saar's wearable art at Roberts Projects, Etai Drori's artful new collab and Brunello Cucinelli's film hits U.S. theaters.

Paris couture sensation Matières Fécales, which just last week dressed Zendaya in a winged goddess gown at "The Odyssey" premiere in New York City, has joined a growing number of luxury brands that are turning the wedding aisle into the new Hollywood red carpet.
The fashion house created three wedding looks for singer/model Gabbriette Bechtel, who married English musician and 1975 frontman Matty Healy last weekend in L.A., in front of a crowd that included Charli XCX, George Daniel, Emily Ratajkowski, Alex Consani and more.
Following the nuptials, the brand issued a press release touting the event as the official launch of Matières Fécale bridalwear. The announcement arrived in my inbox on the heels of one from Saint Laurent with photos and dressing credits for Logan Lerman's Saint Laurent wedding tuxedo, and just weeks after Taylor Swift tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in a still unseen custom Jonathan Anderson Dior gown. (I predict the big reveal will be the September Vogue cover.)

No one does a press tour quite like Zendaya. In one of her busiest years, with back-to-back releases, the star has shown the world how she makes the red carpet her runway.
With the styling help of her longtime friend and image architect Law Roach, Zendaya kicked off her year with her movie "The Drama," creating a string of edgy "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue" looks to match its (disastrous) wedding theme. But it's been her press tours for "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" where she has really shined, taking the concept of method dressing to the next level.
You'd think Zendaya fatigue might have set in, but each look is new, on theme and often unexpected. And while it can seem, from a simplistic view, like an actress playing dress-up, what you're really witnessing is a connoisseur of fashion exploring the medium as a true art form. It's intentional storytelling and a combination of craft and culture uniquely derived from Zendaya's and Roach's unparalleled creative connection.
"Part of doing the press stuff and trying to make the clothes intentional is not just trying to pay homage but giving little trails of ideas and thoughts," Zendaya said in a recent interview with De Estreno. "And maybe it's true! Maybe it's confusing! That's the fun of it!"
As we await whatever the dynamic duo has in store for "Dune: Part Three" this fall, we're revisiting all the looks that captivated us, with a breakdown of reasons why Zendaya's 2026 summer press tour will stand the test of time.

LOS ANGELES — After seven international stops, the "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" global press tour and fashion extravaganza finally swung into Los Angeles, where co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya stunned yet again — This time at the Hollywood premiere on Monday, July 27.
Spider-Man Holland, 30, who recently referred to Zendaya, 29, as "my wife," arrived on the red carpet more than an hour before his "Spider-Man" costar and real-life partner, who plays Peter Parker's longtime love MJ in the franchise.
It was worth the wait.
At 7:34 local time, as Holland was deep into red carpet interviews, a sprinter van rolled up to the premiere. Its sliding door flew open, revealing Zendaya standing and perfectly poised like some kind of fashion action movie.
Zendaya stepped out with stylist Law Roach in a stunning black gown from Ashi Studio's Fall 2026 collection. The "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man" star, who has repeatedly stunned on the red carpets of both films' global tours, wore a billowing black train and a plunging neckline with sculptural detailing that mimicked a spider's front appendages.

Zendaya and Tom Holland are making the most of married life as they travel the world promoting their latest projects, and a source exclusively tells In Touch that the newlyweds are turning the press tour into an extended honeymoon.
According to the source, the couple has been squeezing in romantic dinners and sightseeing between stops for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey.
"They've been all over the world together the last month, and they still have more stops to go," the source says. "Everywhere they go, it's the absolute best of the best, it would cost them hundreds of thousands to do this sort of trip on their own dime."
While the source says that work "does take priority" for Zendaya, 29, and Holland, 30, whenever they get a free moment, "they're out enjoying the best restaurants and going incognito to enjoy the sights."
The source continues, "They're completely wrapped up in each other and still very much in that honeymoon phase, so everything they do right now feels extra special."

On Monday, Zendaya attended the Spider-Man: Brand New Day fan event at Aztlan Feria de Chapultepec in Mexico City, continuing the darker aesthetic that has defined this press tour.
For the occasion, she wore a black Ashi Studio Spring 2026 Couture gown. The standout feature was the web-like knit embroidery that swept diagonally across the bodice and one sleeve, finished with glass tassels and long beaded fringe cascading from the cuffs. It was an especially apt choice considering Spider-Man's webs are created from his hands, making the sleeve detailing a clever extension of the film's central theme rather than a decorative flourish.
The contrast between the smooth silk crepe and the textured embroidered panel also caught my attention. It almost feels as though the dress is in the middle of a transformation, which neatly echoes Peter Parker's own transformation into Spider-Man.
Is it too dramatic for a fan event? I'm sure some will say yes. But this press tour has consistently prioritised storytelling, and this look stayed firmly on message.
I was also pleased to see a different hairstyle after a run of similar looks for the first run of this press tour. The updo freshened everything up, although I've never been a huge fan of baby bangs.

Zendaya's carefully curated "The Odyssey" wardrobe has sparked a much larger debate about who should be allowed to wear (and own) ancient cultural artifacts.
The actress wore earrings made from roughly 3,000-year-old Iranian gold medallions during a London photocall for Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic. While the jeweler insists the artifacts were mounted without being altered or damaged, critics argue the pieces should be preserved in a museum or returned to Iran rather than worn as celebrity accessories.
Questions surrounding the earrings are further complicated by the Ziwiye ****** d itself, a disputed collection whose objects entered the antiquities market without being recovered through a documented archaeological excavation.
Zendaya, who plays the goddess Athena in Nolan's adaptation of Homer's "The Odyssey," paired the ancient earrings with a flowing white Jacquemus dress selected by her longtime stylist, Law Roach.
According to CNN, the earrings contain gold medallion discs attributed to the first millennium B.C., making them approximately 2,000 to 3,000 years old. The pieces originated in ancient Iran and have been linked to the Ziwiye ****** d, a collection of gold, silver, and ivory objects reportedly discovered in the country's northwestern Kurdistan province during the late 1940s.

Tom Holland made an endearing comment on Zendaya during The Odyssey Press Tour.
During a recent interview alongside his fellow castmates, Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway, the 30-year-old actor addressed a theory about Homer's epic and the relationship between Odyssus and his wife Athena, played by Zendaya.
"'Did Athena love Odysseus romantically?'" Tom read aloud in a Wired interview. Answering the fan question swiftly, he said, "No, because she's married to me."
Matt jokingly responded, "Yep, good answer."
The playfulness continued later on once Robert asked the group, "'What does Athena teach Telemachus?'"

"The Odyssey" press tour continued with the cast's arrival in Paris on Tuesday. Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o and more dripped in designer threads and jewelry while posing in front to the Eiffel Tower at Trocadero Square for the latest photo op.
Despite the unofficial Greican-inspired dress code, some stars deviated, favoring contemporary pieces by Tom Ford and shimmering designs by Armani Privé. WWD breaks down those looks ahead.

The Trocadéro provided the perfect setting for The Odyssey Paris photocall this evening, with the Eiffel Tower creating an unforgettable backdrop as the sun set over the city.
Law Roach's encyclopaedic knowledge of fashion history was evident here, because it's easy to imagine that, the moment he learned the photocall would take place at the Trocadéro, Philip Treacy's extraordinary gold lace headpiece, first worn by Debra Shaw on the Givenchy Spring 1997 Haute Couture runway, immediately came to mind.
That became the starting point for Zendaya's latest press tour look.
She wore the collection's white tailored dress, designed by Alexander McQueen, featuring razor-sharp tailoring, a sculptural silhouette and oversized detachable cuffs, creating one of the most memorable couture moments from McQueen's early tenure at the house.
While Greek mythology has naturally inspired much of Zendaya's wardrobe throughout The Odyssey press tour, I love that this look proves a goddess reference doesn't always have to rely on flowing drapery or overt Grecian cues. Instead, the styling took a more regal, ceremonial approach, with Treacy's dramatic headpiece transforming the look into something almost mythical against the Paris skyline.

It doesn't take much for Zendaya to pull off a look.
Combined with designer Law Roach's spider sense, the "Euphoria" star has elevated her looks to iconic status for the "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" press tour.
The duo has long opted for clever approaches to their looks, often reflecting the Emmy-winning actor's projects, from tennis-themed attire for "Challengers" to desert aesthetics for "Dune." They took this a step further for the new Marvel film, including a minimalist "Spider-Man" graphic tee with no pants at the "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" photocall on Wednesday, June 24 in Paris.
The oversized shirt costs $34.99 on eBay, Roach revealed on his Instagram story, and was a men's 2XL tee that suited Zendaya perfectly.
"Don't threaten me with a theme," Roach wrote on a Thursday, June 25, Instagram post showing the actress flaunting a stunning celestial-themed dress at a London premiere with a scene-stealing beaded spiderweb motif on the back.

Zendaya has shared a rare selfie of herself in a public display of affection with her fiancé, Tom Holland.
The Spider-Man stars are notoriously shy about sharing details of their off-screen romance - so fans were thrilled when Zendaya included a sweet snapshot in a promotional post on her social media.
In Rome to promote the upcoming instalment in the franchise, Spider-Man: A Brand New Day, Zendaya posted several photographs of herself wearing a blue and red vintage Versace outfit, in keeping with Spider-Man's iconic superhero suit.
"Just jumping on to say hi from our stop in Rome," the Euphoria actress wrote in a caption accompanying the gallery, alongside a red heart emoji.
At the end of the image carousel Zendaya, 29, slipped in a selfie featuring Tom, 30, kissing the top of her head.
Fans soon went into meltdown over the image.

Ina Garten, the beloved cook and author known for her Barefoot Contessa Food Network program, is getting a podcast.
The 78-year-old told the New York Times in an interview published Sunday, June 21, that she "thought it would be really fun to be in that stream," calling podcasting "younger and cooler" and a medium that is "moving fast."
According to the publication, Happy Hour With Ina Garten will be released in September — and the TV personality already has potential guests in mind. Atop the list is Tom Holland, the Times reports, adding that Garten wants to ask him about cooking with wife Zendaya.
After receiving interest from multiple companies to work with Garten on the podcast, she reportedly landed a seven-figure deal with Vox Media.
Garten's podcast episodes — which will be available on YouTube in addition to audio streaming platforms — are set to take place at her apartment.

Zendaya attended the photocall for Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Rome today, although the only images from the event came via her Instagram account, which she rarely updates. She may have been just as enamoured with this latest look as I was.
Up until now, this press tour has been dominated by black, leading many to speculate that the darker palette might be signalling a closing chapter for the franchise. With Zendaya and Law Roach, very little ever feels accidental, so naturally every look has invited interpretation.
Today, however, the actress stepped out wearing a Gianni Versace Fall/Winter 1997 Swarovski ensemble sourced from Rebe Archive, and it is easily the clearest visual reference to the Spider-Man franchise that we have seen during this tour.
That is not to say that I have not enjoyed the press tour so far. I have loved decoding the darker looks and searching for the smaller references embedded within them. But seeing the familiar red-and-blue palette finally appear feels especially satisfying after several appearances that deliberately avoided the obvious.
The sparkling two-piece, with its cropped top and mini skirt, also feels playful, youthful and entirely appropriate for a summer photocall in Rome during a heatwave, more so than that McQueen coat did in Amsterdam.
