General Hospital alum Chris McKenna just revealed he needs emergency jaw surgery this week.
The former Jack recently shared a health update on X, posting an X-ray of his jaw and writing, "I had a broken crown fixed last month and they discovered a spot on my x-ray."
He continued, explaining what this means for his mouth: "Turns out I need emergency surgery in the morning to remove a cyst that has eaten away at my jawbone and have a bone graft. Good thing I broke that tooth! This is gonna hurt but lucky we caught it."
While this certainly isn't something McKenna wanted to hear, the former soap star is making the best of the scary situation. Shortly after his announcement, he posted, "The good news is I'm gonna be on pain meds for weeks and my tweets might be hilarious."

In 2026, sports highlights should be accessible to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Unless you're Georgia Bulldogs football that is.
College football fans are among the most passionate in all of sports. And we have seen media companies and streaming platforms use that passion to drive subscriptions. There's a reason why there's at least one Ohio State Buckeyes game on Big Ten Network and Peacock each year, it helps to drive subscriptions for those outlets. But there has certainly been anger and disenchantment from fans and even legislators knowing that they are being forced to pay up to watch their team.
But Georgia may be taking it to an entirely new and absurd level.
The third-ranked Bulldogs began their season with a 63-3 victory over Tennessee State on Saturday in what amounted to a glorified preseason game. And on Monday evening, they posted a teaser trailer for the program's official highlight video… with a catch. The full highlights were only available on the Glory Glory Georgia website and app. And access requires a minimum $20 monthly subscription fee.
As you might expect, the replies and quote tweets to the post are filled with fans in disbelief over having to pay a monthly subscription to watch a highlights video.

Saturday evening brought big news: Vikings legend Harrison Smith, who never officially announced his retirement, is coming back for a 15th season with the franchise that drafted him in the first round back in 2012.
The fan reaction to that news has been almost entirely positive. Smith is an all-time great who has played at a high level across several different eras of Vikings football. About a month into this season, he'll pass Carl Eller and Fred ****** to move into third on the franchise's games played leaderboard, trailing only Jim Marshall and Mick Tingelhoff. He's an obvious Ring of Honor lock with a real chance to end up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
And Smith's return isn't just about legacy. With his experience and instincts and communication abilities in Brian Flores' check-heavy defense, Smith is a big addition to the Vikings' roster right now, even at 37 years old. He can clearly still play, as we saw in his dominant performance against the Lions last Christmas Day.
Amidst the excitement, there have been a few Vikings fans who have pushed back. Their specific complaints have to do with the contract the team gave Smith for his 15th season. It's a one-year, $12.25 million deal that has incentives up to $16.25 million if Minnesota wins the Super Bowl. For some, that price tag is too steep for a 37-year-old safety.
There were enough of those tweets that a former longtime teammate of Smith's took notice. Anthony Barr, a first-round pick two years after Smith who played alongside him for nine seasons, took to X/Twitter to put those fans on blast late on Saturday night after a couple posts about his UCLA Bruins' Week 1 win over Cal.

FINAL SCORE: Stanford 37, Hawaii 27
The University of Hawaii football team, coming off its first nine-win season since 2019, looks to begin the year with a victory over Stanford on the road at Stanford Stadium.
The Cardinal defeated UH, 37-24, in Hawaii's 2023 home opener. Last season, UH beat Stanford on Kansei Matsuzawa's last-second field goal, 23-20.

Footage of President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C. in August raised eyebrows online, with many social media users speculating about some seemingly tense moments between the couple.
The videos circulating show the Trumps sitting together in a suite at the race and exchanging some words, after which Melania gets up from her seat and walks away.
Life: Body Language Experts Spot Something In This Wild Clip Of Trump Dictating Tweets To Natalie Harp
When compared to previous first ladies (and even her first four years in the role), Melania has been conspicuously absent from public life during Trump's second term. But after more than a month with no appearances, she emerged again last week ― a return that seems to have attracted extra attention amid the growing interest in the president's aide, Natalie Harp.
Of course, silent footage filmed through glass from a distance can only tell us so much. But body language experts who have observed the couple for many years now say the way they are engaging speaks volumes.

Sonny Styles made his NFL debut in the Commanders preseason opener against the Dolphins on Friday night. The seventh overall pick started the game but played just one series before being held out for the rest of the game. In that series, the Commanders defense struggled to stop the Dolphins as Miami drove 93 yards down the field on a 14-play touchdown drive. Some fans have been quick to jump on Styles and be extremely critical of his performance, which is obviously silly given the context. But as such, I thought I'd take a closer look at how Styles played.
Run Game
In the run game, Styles had a few ups and downs but was largely pretty solid. There were a few plays I saw people online being critical of when actually Styles did exactly what he was meant to do.

The Seattle Seahawks have made the big, if not controversial decision to sign former Detroit Lions first-round cornerback Terrion Arnold, who's currently facing several felony robbery and kidnapping charges. When Arnold was arrested earlier this summer, the Lions wasted little time in releasing the former Alabama star. However, Arnold drew interest from several teams once he was cleared to work (and travel domestically without an ankle monitor), and the Seahawks were among those teams whose initial interest turned into something much more than that.
Even though Arnold's contract is expected to be incredibly cheap, the issue is whether or not he'll be allowed to play in the regular season. The best case scenario is the charges are dropped and the NFL decides not to take further action by suspending him anyway. Either way, Seattle clearly believes Arnold can help a cornerback room that is far from settled with Riq Woolen gone.
It's only sensible to focus on the football side of the Arnold story. What kind of player are the Seahawks getting? Are his penalty issues correctable? What are his strengths? This is where we hit the emergency **** on and paged Ryan Mathews, who's the Senior Editor for Pride of Detroit, the excellent Detroit Lions SB Nation site. They're plugged into the Lions 100 percent of the way, with Jeremy Reisman doing fantastic work as a credentialed Lions reporter.
In a special 5 Qs and 5 As, I asked Ryan about Arnold's time in Detroit, and whether or not the Seahawks made a good acquisition from a football standpoint. All embedded tweets were inserted by us, not by Ryan.
1.) I've harped on this for a bit given how Seahawks fans viewed Riq Woolen's penalty issues before he left for Philadelphia: Terrion Arnold has been flagged 17 times when you count offsetting/declined penalties. He's only played 24 games total. What gives?

Scrimmage Day!
While Head Coach Sean Payton is out at the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, for QB Drew Brees' induction, defensive coordinator and former Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph is running today's practice.
In today's camp report, we have Pat Bryant really establishing himself as the Broncos WR and a trusted target for QB Bo Nix, rookie running back Jonah Coleman impressing between the tackles, Uwazurike praised by DC Vance Joseph, news and notes, injury updates, tweets from camp, quotes and more!
One constant throughout the first week or so of Broncos Camp has been the play of second-year wide receiver Pat Bryant. He showed flashes of his talent late last season before injuries derailed his rookie year, but he has carried that momentum into the early portions of training camp.
Today, with Jaylen Waddle and Marvin Mims sidelined, Bryant stepped up and was the Broncos' top playmaker and Bo Nix's most trusted target throughout practice, including what some are calling the best play of camp thus far. During a team drill, Bo Nix was under heavy pressure and threw an absolute dime to Pat Bryant, who was in double coverage for a touchdown.

Early on, you can tell this Daronte Jones defense is not going to make it easy for offenses to hang onto the ball. Several times Monday, Commanders defenders were trying to punch or rip the ball out of the ball carrier's hands. Sometimes after the whistle.
"Yeah, definitely like even after the whistle they're going at the ball," said tight end Chig Okonkwo. "I mean one time today, you know, [K'Lavon Chaisson] got me after the whistle. Them boys are coming and it's just nice to, you know, have that competition that just raises up, raises up another level of competition."

The Pacers' social media team started leaving breadcrumbs a week ago leading to the announcement of their new pinstriped Statement uniforms. Just before the formal announcement, they pointed back at the trail.
The Pacers posted a photo graphic of the uniforms with tweets clamoring for a return of the pinstripes. The post read: "Please go back and read the first letter of our last 17 tweets," with two eye emojis.
Indeed, the first letter of that tweet and the previous 16 spelled out "PINSTRIPES ARE BACK."
The pattern was never obvious in large part because the letters were posted in reverse order chronologically so that scrolling through the timeline would spell out the words. So the last letter -- K -- was posted first on July 23 in a post about newly acquired Pacers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. highlighting a quote in a podcast from general manager Chad Buchanan. It wasn't until Wednesday that any of the posts even touched on the topic of uniforms as the social media team kept the bit going through tweets about Obi Toppin's charity golf outing, video of Tyrese Haliburton dunking during his Achilles tendon injury recovery, Toppin's serving as the pace car driver at the Brickyard 400 and the appearances of Jarace Walker and Braden Smith at basketball camps.
The tweets follow.

Anchor Ryan Clark was fired from ESPN during a live broadcast of his NFL Live show.
Recently, anchor Ryan Clark, 46, was fired from ESPN during a live broadcast of his NFL Live show. Many critiqued ESPN's decision to fire Clark mid-show, but the network defended its decision, citing fears that Clark would find out the news through the grapevine. In an episode of The Pivot Podcast post-firing, Clark claims he adjusted who he was to keep his job at ESPN, specifically stating that he felt he couldn't be "too Black."
ESPN declined an official comment regarding these claims, directing Forbes to a memo Chairman Jimmy Pitaro sent to employees on July 21 that stated the following: "Over the past several months, we've made significant progress integrating the NFL ***** ets that we acquired into ESPN. Throughout this process, we have taken the time to carefully evaluate our collective teams, resources and organizational structure to best position us for the future. As a result, we had to make some difficult decisions about job impacts that we will be communicating today. While most of the job impacts are tied to the acquisition, we will also notify colleagues in other parts of the company today that their positions have been impacted. We are committed to treating employees with compassion and respect and to providing support as they navigate this transition. Even in moments like these, the strength of ESPN comes from our people, our teamwork and our shared mission to serve sports fans."
In 2019, actor Gabrielle Union, who was a judge on the TV show America's Got Talent was told her hair was "too Black."
Clark is not unique in his experiences. Workplaces that make Black employees feel like they must tone down their Blackness are a persistent experience across different fields and industries. In 2019, it was reported that actor Gabrielle Union, who was a judge on the TV show America's Got Talent: The Champions, was told her hair was "too Black." That same year, actor Reagan Gomez-Preston alleged in a series of tweets that while filming for That 70s Show, she had to tone down her Blackness and was humiliated by a white male director who critiqued every scene, making remarks asking her for "less sass."

San Francisco 49ers star pass rusher Nick Bosa isn't known for his social media. He distanced himself from Twitter since his first season as a pro.
Since then, Bosa has had several retweets. He shared former teammate De'Vondre Campbell's post about the NFL needing to do away with turf fields. In between that, there's a Joe Rogan podcast retweet as well as a George Kittle one. But on Thursday, Bosa took the time to quote a tweet where ESPN cut ties with former NFL player Ryan Clark:
Instantly, the internet came out in droves to attack Bosa, calling him a racist and saying that he hates black people.
Part of the reason Bosa has distanced himself from Twitter was some pre-draft tweets he had. In August of 2016, he had a tweet calling former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick a clown.
That was one of many deleted tweets that would've been viewed as controversial. During Bosa's first press conference, he apologized, saying, "It wasn't directed towards (Kaepernicks' stance. It's not like I'm saying his stance and what he was doing; that's not what I was calling or talking about at all. It was just a specific thing that happened and me as a young kid a thought popping in my head and boom, decided to tweet it out. Bad decision. I respect what he's done. If it empowers anybody, then he's doing a good thing. So I apologize for that."

The story of the week came from ESPN, where a supposed exercise in removing red ink became, for NFL **** yst Ryan Clark, more like a Red Wedding.
49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has chosen to chime in.
In his first actual tweet since November 2022 (he's had a handful of retweets since then without comment), Bosa reposted the original article from The Athletic about Clark's ouster with an “OK” emoji.
It's an odd postscript to the (relatively speaking) old news. And while those in the media accept that the public nature of the job will include a public reaction to the job ending, Bosa's tweet is another example of the notion that someone's firing is something to be celebrated on social media.
Of course, it happens to players. And while it's usually fans and not media members who pop a cork publicly when the player is cut from his team, it's easy to blur the lines. Especially if the media member in question has a reputation for the kind of candor that will ruffle feathers.

CHICAGO — When it comes to promoting nostalgia, no one does it quite like the Chicago Blackhawks.
So it’s not surprising the Hawks would bring back franchise legend Patrick Kane at 37 to re-create memories of the three-time Stanley Cup champions of the 2010s, pairing him with the next franchise savior — Connor Bedard — through the 2027-28 season.
Of course, any resemblance between those teams and the current edition of the Hawks is coincidental, and you don’t need AI to make a 37-year-old Kane look much different from his 19-year-old self.
Kane signed a two-year deal Thursday with an annual average of $8 million, which reminds us of his number, 88. It’s seen by many as overpaying for a player whose best years are in the past, but considering the marketing aspect for the Hawks, it’s probably worth every penny.
Word of the signing spread quickly, almost as though it was part of a well-planned advertising campaign. A “Welcome Home Patrick Kane!” message appeared on the Wrigley Field marquee, and the Bears tweeted a photo of Kane lifting the Stanley Cup while wearing a Bears jersey at Soldier Field, along with the message, “He’s baaaaaack.” The Hawks sent out several tweets, including one of Kane skating at the Blackhawks Ice Center, where he has been working out all summer.

The timing of a Miami Heat video of Bam Adebayo surprising new teammate Bobby Portis with some playful roughhousing was absolutely wild considering the news that broke later in the day on Friday.
"Don't think chemistry will be an issue between these two," the Heat X (Twitter) account posted with a crying-laughing emoji, some hours before word came through Adebayo apparently punched former teammate Tyler Herro during a physical altercation in Las Vegas.
Old video of Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro adds sad irony to Vegas fight
Fans filled the "quote-tweets" with plenty of ironic responses to this quick video hitting right before the Adebayo-Herro news. You can't always time these things well, but this was just on another level of wild with when it was posted and what happened after that.
Herro has issued a "no comment" over the incident.

As I'm sure everyone is now aware, it has been widely reported that Bruno Guimaraes has made it known he is up for ***** nal's back door approach, with snivelling peabodies in the media spreading agent-led propaganda about how the player wants out of Newcastle United.
This will doubtless snowball while The Man himself convalesces from his bitter role in Brazil's disappointing World Cup exit, as Fabrizio Romano doubtless prepares his usual raft of 20-30 tweets a day about how Bruno hates Newcastle/only wants London.
This is brutal for a number of reasons.
The sales of Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon could be (and largely were) viewed as great money for players that had failed to excel in the unacceptable preceding season. Maximum value to reboot the squad, for which hope flickered as a couple of promising young players looked set to sign, and in one case actually even did.
Bruno Guimaraes though, was essential to the plot. The heartbeat, the talisman, the one big name player we needed to retain. The man who escapes wrath for the underperformance of last season due to his being the only consistent performances and a huge raft of the damage being done during an absence that weakened the side exponentially.

Keeping in line with the stature he has carved for himself in football, the Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe is proving to be the dominant force in the World Cup once again. The star striker is shining for the French national team, and is only a single goal behind Lionel Messi as not only this version’s top scorer, but also as the top scorer in the history of the World Cup.
However, the Frenchman has not been able to escape controversy even with his national team. The latest issue surrounding him came after the Round of 16 match against Paraguay, which the Blues won by a single goal, a penalty converted by the Merengue forward.
Mbappe was the subject of a lot of fouls and kicks from the Paraguayans during the game, and there were also some verbal exchanges between him and some of his opponents. But the issue gained even greater spotlight after the match, when a senator from Paraguay, Celeste Amarilla, made some tweets, making racist and xenophobic attacks against the Real Madrid star.
In the backdrop of this episode, MARCA reports that the Merengue club has decided to back their player, and have issued an official statement to reject the comments made by the Paraguayan senator. Their statement went as follows:
“Real Madrid C. F. wishes to express its strongest rejection of the regrettable racist and xenophobic remarks made by Paraguayan senator Celeste Amarilla against our player Kylian Mbappé.

In non-Cincinnati Bengals sporting news, LeBron James is currently on the hunt for his next team.
Given it's the depths of the NFL offseason, those around the league have had some fun with that LeBron fact, though.
In fact, over at CBS Sports, John Breech listed out a few NFL teams who had sent funny tweets at LeBron about signing on for training camps. Then, he listed the Bengals as a team that would make sense as a fit.
"The Bengals already have Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins and adding LeBron to that would almost be unfair," Breech wrote. "With opposing offenses worried about the Bengals top two receivers, that could certainly open things up for LeBron to put up big numbers in Cincinnati."
It's all in good fun, of course. James has a well-known history around football at this point, but that was long ago and he's 41 years old.

Chaisson [is potentially] the most underrated defensive addition in 2026. The veteran pass rusher also turned down a chance at a longer deal and more security to sign with Washington, a team he believed was capable of making a postseason run. Yet for a defense that struggled to generate pressure, Chaisson is a big part of what Washington needs to do better in 2026 where he has a chance to capitalize if near-$100 million addition Odafe Oweh draws increased attention opposite of him. While Oweh adds a long-term piece, Chaisson has a chance to prove himself after a career season with the New England Patriots in 2025.
Chaisson played at least 66% of the Patriots' defensive snaps from weeks nine through 16, totaling a pair of sacks, four TFLs, one pass deflection and a pair of forced fumbles during that span. He also registered an impressive average of 2.87 seconds time to pressure where he thrived as a quick twitch edge rusher.
That's the role that Chaisson will look to thrive in with the Commanders, opting for the one-year deal in Washington with a chance to prove himself for a third consecutive season.

Jenni "JWoww" Farley isn't letting wedding drama overshadow her newlywed bliss. Days after reports surfaced claiming certain "Jersey Shore" cast members were blindsided by being left off the guest list for her surprise wedding to Zack Carpinello, the reality star is pushing back against the controversy and defending her decision to keep the celebration intimate. While some former co-stars reportedly felt snubbed, JWoww says the reaction only reinforced why certain people weren't invited in the first place.
Farley recently addressed the growing controversy in a TikTok video, making it clear that she was frustrated by the public discussion surrounding her guest list. "It is infuriating" that she's "now getting caught up in retweets and tabloids about who was invited and who wasn't invited," she said.
"If you were a true friend or family member, none of this would be public right now," Farley continued. "You would've [come] to me. But you can't come to me, because then you can't play victim to your own fake ****** narrative."
The reality star explained that she and Carpinello intentionally limited the guest list to around 50 of their closest family members and friends. "These people that are sh-t talking and creating these anonymous threads and tabloids things are the whole reason why they weren't invited," she added. "You proved my point."
Despite the headlines surrounding who wasn't there, Farley and Carpinello are choosing to focus on the people who were.

Paddy Pimblett has issued a scathing response to Ilia Topuria's defeat by Justin Gaethje, as the Liverpudlian's rivalry with the Spanish-Georgian continues.
On Sunday, Topuria defended his lightweight ****** le against Gaethje in the main event of the UFC's remarkable White House event, with Gaethje pulling off a huge upset.
Topuria, 29, retired on his stool between the fourth and fifth rounds, as his American opponent, 37, unified the lightweight belts.
Gaethje had twice failed to win undisputed-title fights in the UFC, but he earned this third chance by outpointing Pimblett in January, dominating the Briton to become a two-time interim champion.
Despite the one-sided nature of Pimblett's own loss to Gaethje, "Paddy The Baddy" was delighted by Topuria's defeat – the first of his professional career. His rivalry with Topuria stems from an altercation in London in 2022, when "El Matador" confronted Pimblett over allegedly anti-Georgian tweets.

Two six-year-old tweets by New York Knicks player Josh Hart went viral ahead of Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday for his blunt views about President Donald Trump.
This year marks the Knicks’ first appearance in the Finals in 27 years as Hart and his teammates returned home Monday after sweeping the San Antonio Spurs in the first two games of the seven-game series.
But when news broke last week that the president wanted to attend as well, it incited a wave of criticism over worries the enhanced security protocols would create a nightmare for fans and locals. Those worries proved to be well-founded when the watch party outside Madison Square Garden, as had been organized for previous games, was cancelled because of the Secret Service’s security perimeter. Several blocks around Madison Square Garden were closed “to most pedestrian and vehicular traffic,” a “strict no-bag policy” was enforced, and fans were told to arrive at least two hours early.
It all led to long lines and frustrated fans before the game, and many of them loudly booed Trump when he was shown on the Jumbotron during the performance of the national anthem.
