Hugh Jackman just finished doing business with Jason Segel.
In Touch can confirm that the Deadpool & Wolverine star, 57, purchased Segel's former Pasadena, California, home in an off-market deal for nearly $6.9 million.
The 5,091-square-foot, single-family home includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The Shrinking star, 46, purchased the property — which was built in 1919 — in May 2019 for $4.255 million.
At the time Segel made the purchase, Architectural Digest reported that the house had retained much of its original character, but with major updates, including a room that was being used as a home gym and an updated chef's kitchen.
The formal living room boasts a wood-burning fireplace, and the kitchen features an island and a breakfast nook. Some of the bedrooms on the upstairs level feature slightly slanted ceilings, and some of the bathrooms include deep-soaking tubs as well as glass-enclosed steam showers.

During the first day of training camp practice for the Jacksonville Jaguars, rookie tight ends Nate Boerkircher and Tanner Koziol each saw their share of opportunities with the first-team offense.
Certainly, those opportunities speak to what they've put on film throughout the offseason and the work they've put in away from the practice field. But as head coach Liam Coen described after practice, he also wants to put the rookies in some new situations to see how they respond.
"It's also trying to put them in some positions that maybe are a little uncomfortable early on, like putting them in some positions that we got to go see what they can do in terms of that," Coen said. "And not that we know what Hunter and know what Quinton can do -- I think both those guys had good days as well, Hunter and Q -- we got to see what these guys can do against NFL competition, against a good defensive line, whether it's with the first group or the second group."
Boerkircher was a terrific blocking tight end at the college level and the Jaguars believe he can impact the passing game as well. That well-rounded skill set, especially when paired with Brenton Strange and all he can do, can help add a new layer to the offense and open up the playbook for Coen.
Koziol, meanwhile, was more of a pass-catching threat during his college career.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are the latest team to eliminate separate radio and television broadcasts, moving to a unified broadcast across platforms for the 2026-27 National Hockey League season.
Blue Jackets television broadcasters Steve Mears and Jody Shelley will continue in their current roles for the simulcast broadcast. Radio play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott, who has been with the Blue Jackets for the past 17 years, did not have his contract renewed.
Dylan Tyrer, who has been a radio host for the past seven years, will remain in that role.
"Bob McElligott has made significant contributions to the Blue Jackets organization on the air and in the community over the past 17 years," said Blue Jackets Vice President of Business Intelligence and Broadcasting Marc Gregory. "Bob's voice was at the heart of many of our club's unforgettable moments and helped shape memories that will live on for years to come. We sincerely thank him and wish him nothing but success moving forward."
The Blue Jackets are one of seven NHL teams seeking a new television home following the shutdown of the FanDuel Sports Networks. The team has not yet announced where its television broadcasts will air during the 2026-27 season, though it has announced that the broadcasts will be produced by NHL Productions. Radio broadcasts will remain on 97.1 The Fan in Columbus.

Bob McElligott has broken his silence after the Columbus Blue Jackets decided not to renew his contract.
The move ends his 17-year run as the team's radio play-by-play voice. Columbus announced that all games will be simulcast across television and radio beginning in the 2026-27 NHL season.
McElligott confirmed the news in a heartfelt post on X. He wrote, "As some of you have heard, I learned today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have decided to simulcast their TV broadcast, and my contract as the team's radio play-by-play announcer will not be renewed."

Kicker reports that Leverkusen's Kerim Alajbegovic has officially green-lit his transfer to Juventus, leaving Chelsea empty handed. Leverkusen and Juventus reached a final agreement on Thursday. The player and his representatives have now also accepted the move. There are reports of a late attempt by the Premier League club to Hijack the deal.
The 18-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international is expected to travel to Turin on Friday or Saturday to undergo his medical examination and sign a contract valid through 2031. Juventus will pay Leverkusen a guaranteed fee exceeding €30 million. Performance-related bonuses could raise the total package to between €35 million and €40 million.
Chelsea had previously emerged as the leading candidate for Alajbegović's signature and subsequently submitted an opening offer containing more than €30 million in guaranteed money.
The London club's pursuit also featured a personal intervention from former Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso. As previously reported, Alonso spoke directly with Alajbegović and outlined his proposed Chelsea development plan. That pathway could have involved the teenager initially moving elsewhere on loan before eventually competing for a place at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea reportedly returned with an improved proposal at the last moment. Alajbegović nevertheless preferred Juventus because the Italian record champions offered the stronger immediate sporting perspective. The teenager is reportedly expected to work as a regular first-team player in Turin.

Following the Jacksonville Jaguars' first training camp practice, there were some noteworthy observations made when it comes to a few key positional battles that will unfold over the next month.
At running back, Bhayshul Tuten continues to seemingly have a firm grasp on the RB1 role. John Shipley of Jaguars on SI wrote that Tuten was "the most impressive offensive player" on Day 1 of training camp.
Chris Rodriguez, meanwhile, is back at practice after being sidelined during offseason programs with a foot injury, but he's going through a ramp-up, only participating in individual drills on Wednesday. This allowed Tuten to, again, take the bulk of the first-team reps.
The ****** umption all offseason has been that Ventrell Miller will take over the starting linebacker role following Devin Lloyd's departure -- and that could still be what happens. That said, Miller is going to have to earn that ****** le first.
Second-year linebacker Branson Combs has been pushing Miller for those starting snaps, with Shipley calling it a "true battle."

Gray doesn't have any NFL experience, but did spend 2025 with the Atlanta Falcons on their practice squad after going undrafted out of Oregon State. The 6-foot-5, 299-pound guard signed a reserve/futures contract with the Carolina Panthers, but was waived in July ahead of training camp.
Like Gray, Penning also spent his rookie season on a practice squad with the Baltimore Ravens after going undrafted out of Northern Iowa in 2025. He re-signed a reserve/futures contract with the Ravens in January and was earlier in July.

Everything in the world of Gonzaga basketball hinges on the courtroom right now. Mario Saint-Supery was lured away from his upcoming sophomore season by a four-year contract to play professionally in Valencia, and Mark Few was left without a point guard. That vacated roster spot, as well as the one left open by one-time commit Jack Kayil, however, may have come at exactly the right time. UCLA's Donovan Dent and Skyy Clark are among the group of fifth-year seniors suing the NCAA for one more season of eligibility, and Gonzaga is reportedly in the mix for both. If the Zags are able to land both, this roster stops looking like an eleventh-hour rebuild and starts looking like the key ingredients for a top-five squad.
This is particularly vital because Gonzaga's non-conference slate for the 2026-27 season is arguably the toughest Mark Few has ever scheduled. The Bulldogs are already projected in the AP preseason top 20-to-25 range even before the eligibility rulings (hopefully) break their way, and the schedule does not let up from November through February.
Gonzaga has never been the type of team to schedule a patty-cake non-conference schedule and hopefully start firing on all cylinders by the time conference play rolls around. Rather, the Zags have spent the last decade scheduling a grueling non-conference slate to serve as a preview of the kind of competition they expect to see again in late March. Here are the games Zag fans should circle on their calendars now, regardless of who will or won't actually be suiting up for the Bulldogs.
Gonzaga has unfinished business with Purdue, which ended the Zags' 2024 season in the Sweet 16 behind Zach Edey's 27 points and 14 rebounds. This one opens the season on a neutral floor.
The roster picture has flipped since then. Purdue finished 30-9 and ranked No. 2 on KenPom last year, but its entire veteran core is now gone. Braden Smith, the NCAA's all-time ******* ists leader, and Trey Kaufman-Renn were both drafted in June, while Fletcher Loyer exhausted his eligibility and signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Clippers. Matt Painter didn't chase a portal fix. Instead, Purdue is leaning on sophomore Omer Mayer out of Tel Aviv, Israel, who played alongside Smith last season and is the presumptive starter, with five-star freshman Luke Ertel, Indiana's reigning Mr. Basketball, waiting behind him.

The goal of the video is to increase awareness for pediatric cancer and raise funds for research, which naturally includes an elaborate MrBeast giveaway for anyone who donates to the charity Give Kids The World. Since being posted on Sunday, the video has accumulated over 30 million views. Those views will only increase as the video remains on MrBeast's channel for the next six months.
"We've never had an opportunity like this to engage people all over the world, and certainly not through a creator platform at this scale. So, it's truly a 'first' for SU2C," Pam Williams, a member of the SU2C founders and advisors committee, told me. So far it's a strategy that's working. The video has been seen by people in 68 countries so far, and almost 90% of donators are supporting the organization for the first time.

The versatile left-back will be wearing the number in a rather unorthodox manner, as the No. 11 is normally ***** ociated with forward players. While defensive players definitely have worn similar numbers before, it is still considered a departure from tradition.

So much for the beginning of the big quarterback competition at training camp for the Atlanta Falcons. The team opened camp this morning with exactly one healthy option at the game's most important position: undrafted rookie Jack Strand.
The biggest news is that Michael Penix has still not been cleared for 11-on-11 drills despite hoping to be cleared in time for camp. Tua Tagovailoa is out for now with a minor back injury. To make do, the Falcons have released their third-string quarterback Trevor Siemien and signed capable career backup Cooper Rush.
Given the way training camp has started, it's tough to argue that this team is poised for a big breakthrough this season from the NFC's longest-running playoff drought. According to Bleacher Report, Atlanta is one of the NFL's 11 most-cursed franchises, coming in at No. 6 on their list.
"They suffered arguably the most extreme big-game choke in modern sports history in the 2016 Super Bowl, and they haven't won a division **** le since then. They've won just six playoff games this century... They're still stuck in a slump of eight consecutive losing seasons, and only a handful of teams have worse Super Bowl odds this summer."

Jacksonville Jaguars two-way player Travis Hunter trotted off the field and ripped off the white jersey that covered his teal practice jersey on the first day of Jaguars camp on July 29.
After a short check-in with wide receivers coach Edgar Bennett, he ran on the field with his hand held high to let his offensive teammates know he'd be replacing them.
One play later, he was exiting the field and slipping the white jersey back over his head to go back on the defensive side of the ball. That's the life of Hunter as he reacclimates to the practice field after an LCL injury in late October sidelined him for the last nine months.

The Jacksonville Jaguars had their first day of training camp, and before it even started, all eyes were on running back Bhayshul Tuten. With Travis Etienne having left in free agency, Tuten is the presumed RB1, but he has competition in LeQuint Allen and Chris Rodriguez, particularly the latter. What will happen in the Jaguars running back room has been one of the biggest storylines surrounding training camp.
Tuten had an immediate leg up over Rodriguez, who suffered an offseason foot injury and had to undergo surgery, forcing him to miss out on minicamp and OTAs. While Rodriguez has fully recovered, he is being eased back, giving Tuten an early opportunity to prove what he's got. And judging by initial reports from training camp, he didn't waste that chance.
SI.com's John Shipley reported that Tuten not only impressed today at practice, but was the strongest offensive player, period.
"[T]uten got the bulk of the first-team reps with the offense, just like he did during the offseason program. In fact, Tuten was frankly the most impressive offensive player of the entire day considering the sputtering moments the unit had. While other players had some down moments, Tuten produced several big runs and showed the same exciting traits that made him look like an ascending player this spring."
Tuten has put in impressive performances throughout the offseason, and has already been named a potential breakout player for 2026. During his rookie season, Tuten similarly played well enough in training camp that the Jaguars felt comfortable letting Tank Bigsby go, with Tuten taking over at RB2. While Etienne took the majority of snaps on offense, he did well enough nonetheless, gaining 83 carries for 307 yards and five touchdowns with his limited snaps.

The Detroit Lions will have one of the best offenses in the NFL – in the virtual world, anyway.
EA's Madden NFL 27 video game released offensive ratings for skill position players on Wednesday, July 29, and several Lions are prominently placed among the NFL's best. The most notable placements for Lions players are at running back and wide receiver, where running back Jahmyr Gibbs (98 overall) and receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (95 overall) are ranked No. 1 and No. 4 at their respective positions.
Two other Lions offensive standouts will rank highly in the game, with tight end Sam LaPorta (88 overall) and quarterback Jared Goff (88 overall) rank as the No. 7 and No. 10 tight end and quarterback, respectively. Though in a potential blow for Lions fans, Los Angeles Rams quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford is ranked as the No. 1 quarterback and one of just six players with a 99 overall rating in the game.
Though Goff is listed as a top-10 quarterback, he is not the highest-rated NFC North quarterback in the game. That ***** le belongs to Chicago Bears quarterback (and cover athlete) Caleb Williams, who comes in at No. 9 at 90 overall.

The Jacksonville Jaguars had their first training camp practice with new running back Chris Rodriguez in attendance, though head coach Liam Coen said it offered only a small glimpse into what Rodriguez can offer.
Rodriguez missed much of Jacksonville's offseason program while recovering from surgery on a foot injury, delaying his opportunity to begin fighting for a role in the backfield.
The Jaguars signed the former Commanders running back after Travis Etienne departed in free agency, but Rodriguez's value is tied largely to a bruising style that is difficult to evaluate before the pads come on.
"What he brings to this team, I don't think any of us are going to see throughout the entire training camp, honestly," Coen said. "Until we play tackle football, it's going to be very difficult for all of us here to gain a true appreciation for who he is and what he does. I've seen it, so I do appreciate his skill set and what he brings. But just as a pro, he's a good dude. He doesn't say a ton, but he's tough. He's one of those glass-eaters. He is. He's going to run through a wall for his teammates, for his coaches, for this organization when the time comes."
Coen also said it had been difficult for Rodriguez to miss earlier training opportunities in the offseason as he rehabbed from surgery.

The Atlanta Falcons began training camp without their top two quarterbacks on Wednesday morning. Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. are both battling injuries, leaving undrafted free agent Jack Strand and veteran Cooper Rush to take the 11-on-11 reps.
Penix has yet to be cleared for contact as he recovers from an ACL injury. Meanwhile, Tagovailoa is dealing with a minor undisclosed injury (reportedly a back issue). Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Tua is expected back soon but Penix's future is less clear.
The former top-10 pick out of Washington met with reporters following Wednesday's practice and said it could be a few more weeks before he is totally cleared.
"Another four weeks, probably, before going to the next stage," said Penix. "But at the same time, it could be earlier," he said. "It really just depends on how my body is going throughout this whole camp process."
The Falcons are being cautious with Penix, who's currently working back from his third career ACL injury. Even though he's been through this process before, Penix knows it's important not to rush back, as much as he might want to.

Jacksonville Jaguars' second-year linebacker Jack Kiser exited Wednesday's training camp practice and did not return.
According to ESPN's Michael DiRocco, Kiser was injured during an 11-on-11 team period and grabbed his right knee when he was on the ground.
Afterward, head coach Liam Coen said that Kiser will have an MRI on Wednesday night to determine the severity of the injury.
A fourth-round pick by the Jaguars in the 2025 NFL draft, Kiser's greatest impact came on special teams, where he played 191 snaps from Weeks 1 through 15, contributing to four of the six phases regularly. He recorded four total tackles and graded out well by PFF's metrics.
Kiser played only 43 defensive snaps on the season, appearing in four games.

The Twin Cities injected some excitement into the late season last week, and there was good news for former Bulldogs to boot. First, Tour rookie (I mean like 24 days since turning pro) Jackson Koivun won the 3M Open in his 3rd start as a professional and 7th time playing a Tour event (he played several as an amateur and based on his NCAA Championship). He beat everyone not named Scottie Scheffler by 5 shots, and held off the world #1 in the process. His incredible collegiate career at Auburn was not a fluke, unlike their academic credentials.
For the boys in red & black: Keith Mitchell finished in a tie for 44th, so his position in the FedEx Cup points did not change. Chris Kirk got to 12 under par, and the T31 finish ***** ped him up 3 spots to 143rd in the FedEx. But he'll need a VERY high finish the next two weeks to get into the post-season. David Thompson got a much-needed top 10 (T7) and that moved him up to 93rd position – still outside the top 70 but do now he has an outside chance to advance.
And Brian Harman played the final day alongside Scottie Scheffler and for the most part kept up with him. Harman shot a Sunday 65 and got a T3 – and those points ***** ped him from the dangerous 74th spot to a more comfortable 62nd spot. So let's see what's on tap this week.

TThe Buffalo Bills opened training camp Wednesday with nearly their entire roster on the practice field.
Wide receiver Tyrell Shavers, who is recovering from a torn ACL suffered during Buffalo's playoff win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in January, was the lone player to begin camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
"Tyrell Shavers is PUP so he's the only one that won't be out there today," offensive coordinator Joe Brady said before practice. "There will be some guys that will be on a limited rep count."
That means the Bills are beginning training camp with nearly their entire roster available, a welcome change after injuries piled up late last season.
The news represents a significant turnaround from the offseason, when general manager Brandon Beane said several players were still working their way back from surgeries. Players including Michael Hoecht, DeWayne Carter, Landon Jackson and Jordan Hancock all participated in Wednesday's opening practice, though some worked on limited snap counts.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons' quarterback competition will have to wait another day after coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that Tua Tagovailoa sustained a minor injury, and he'll be back "sooner rather than later."
The Falcons are left with one active quarterback for 11-on-11s on the team's first day of training camp as Michael Penix Jr. continues to recover from an ACL tear and veteran Trevor Siemian was released Wednesday morning in a series of roster moves.
Penix will be available for 7-on-7s. Jack Strand, Atlanta's sole healthy signal-caller, will see most — if not all — snaps during 11-on-11s.
Stefanski described Tagovailoa's injury as a "flare-up" and said he doesn't anticipate a long absence from the former Dolphins quarterback. He said Tagovailoa will be present but not participating.
The first-year Falcons coach kept the details of Tagovailoa's injury secret, saying that one of the perks of training camp is not having to divulge every detail.
